Rated 5 out of 5 byDoracena from This Dock doesn't charge the laptop.The first reviewer is right. This dock doesn't charge the laptop. So you need to connect the AC charger connected to the laptop while using this dock. Called HP and confirmed it. It only provides power to the dock itself.

If you are expecting it to power your computer as well, do not buy this model. There are other models that push power to the computer. Other than that, great dock.

Rated 5 out of 5 byStan Groves from 60w dock for a 65w notebook?Canceled this because the sales person recommended it as the dock for a Elietebook G755 notebook. I reviewed the specs and saw it was a 60w dock. The NB was 65w. I ordered the Thunderbolt doc that was 230w and it is working fine. Also uses the actual docking port that comes on the Elietebook.

The first sentence in the documentation stated that it will not charge a computer over 60 watts and the Spectre has a 90 watt charger. Then after calling HP about it, they said they don't make a dock compatible with this computer so I had to return the dock and the computer. What good is a computer with barely any I/O. A dock should be included with the computer purchase. The USB-C seems to be barely supported by any manufacturers at this time. I could not find one that sold a dock for the Spectre that would allow two external 4K monitors and NONE even existed that could charge it!

Rated 5 out of 5 byMacForLife from Piece of trash - cant support two 27 inch monitorsThis dock is incapable of powering two 27 inch monitors at their recommended resolutions, however is on the recommended accessories list along with the 27 inch monitor. HP is clueless about how to get the screens to work at intended resolution and for the past 3 months has struggled to provide a viable solution. I am dumbfounded by the incapability of HP support such a simple issue.
