Rated 5 out of 5 by3R Shooter from Sounds great at low levelsIt clips right in place on the bottom of the monitor really easy. Powered by the monitor so always on (while screen is on). I would prefer an on/off feature, but doesn't ruin anything. It is performing great. It can get Really Loud if you want it. For 'normal levels' I have it below 10 (out of a 100) and everything is crisp and clear.

Rated 5 out of 5 byzbsa from Bad build and decisionsThere is a near-constant hum that others have mentioned -- that, possibly, can be fixed, but the lack of a physical volume control (or on-off switch) is the real deal breaker here. I guess I'll keep it for the rare time I need just barely functional audio, but what I really wanted it for was to have a reliable audio sources or my HP display's two AV sources (USB-C and HDMI). Unfortunately, without a physical volume control I might as well plug directly into the display's audio out. Making this a pure USB software device without even the option of operating as a normal speaker (despite the presence of audio-in port) is a real miss.

There is a knob where you can lower or upper the volume but you can't turn the speaker bar off and also the constant noise is there all the time it is irritating.

Rated 5 out of 5 byParasail from Constant staticIf you turn the volume up above level #24 (goes up to 100 so this is a low volume), you get a constant rattling static that increases in volume if you increase the speaker volume. I use an HP portable speaker w/ USB port Model # WN483AA on a different computer and it is clear as a bell at all levels but I could not locate that same speaker as being available so I tried the S100 bar but have not been happy. The other one is much better, I wish I could find it.

Rated 5 out of 5 bySeanMI from Constant Static Noise. Can't Use.I bought this speaker bar to pair with an HP EliteDisplay E243i monitor. It fits & looks great. However, similar to other reviews, when plugged into the USB port (Power source for the speaker) there is constant static & no way to turn it off. In a quiet office setting it just doesn't work. I returned the speaker. It's too bad because it looks really nice & there isn't an alternative for this monitor unless you buy stand alone speakers.
