Don’t buy Reverb or you’ll be buying lots of these
Cable is very easy to break. I’m guessing HP is making more money selling these terrible replacement cables than they are selling the VR units.

Great Product Horrible durability
I brought the headset in 2020. I have been through 4 cords already. And the company only gives you a one year warranty.

product is junk just like the hp reverb g2, there is a known issue with the cables and instead of recalling them like they should, they make you spend another $90. will never buy another hp product

Spare parts for a HMD are a must buy!
Let’s face it, no matter how careful you are if you move around sometimes that cable is going to take a beating and eventually fail. This will fix that problem.

Works as a good cable should.
The original cable that came with my G2 failed about half the time. I would have to switch USB connections, reboot the headset, switch video connections, or restart Steam VR until it finally worked. The new cable works on the first try every time.

Error code 1-4 after three days of use
The cable worked fine for the first three days of use. Since then, every time I attempt to use the headset, I get an error code 1-4 of cables not being connected properly. I've checked many times and attempted different USB ports, but no luck. Online forums appear to show that this is a common issue with no known resolution.

Recall this Cable!!!
I shouldn't have to extend my warranty to receive another cable. My original and replacement cable both failed on me. Every single person with or without a warranty should receive a complementary cable because there are clearly factory issues with it.

I've had 3of the new cords
I've had 3 of the new cords and not one of them worked each one gave me a 7-14 error and about 2 hours talking to tech support to confirm what I told them in the first few sentences of my support ticket submission. Luckily, if you can call it that, I was able to purchase a version 1 of the cable for an additional 200 bucks from the spare parts store which actually works some of the time as well as the 1M cable for when I feel like getting extra close to my computer. Odd that both of those cables work but 3 of the new version 2 cables have given me the same error as well as that little popup from windows saying that the USB device I just plugged in has malfunctioned. But now the headset has decided to shut off one eye then both after about 30 minutes if use then continue to turn off one then both then back on every 10 seconds or so until I give up on it. I don't want to sink any more money into this headset since it has ended up costing me close to twice what I've paid for it initially to use it, whenever it decides to work that is.

So many issues
If you unplug this cable wrong or have a power outage the cable will break. I have gone through two of these cables already and each has lasted me 1 month

Class leading headset, but can't recommend because of the weak cable/power supply issue.
If you are looking for this cable, it's because yours had failed. And as mentioned in other reviews, these fail very easily. I had a brief power outage, and even though this cable and it's power supply was plugged into a surge protector, it failed as soon as the power came back on. This will be my third cable and as such, I can not recommend the Reverb G2 to anyone despite its great specs....because of this failure point.

Would give this a review, if it was available!
Trying to find information on when this cable will be available. No one at HP has been able to give me an answer. I love my headset, but after the display port connector broke, I've been trying to find a new one.

Broken like everybodies
the original cable is now broken 2 weeks after the warranty expired. Customer support is telling me to buy a new one, which is out of stock. This is not an optional accessory, this is a spare part, which HP Canada cannot provide.

6 months and it's gone like everybody. Usb problems and cable not available.\
if you want to collect dust it's perfect. And for the support...one guy was almost angry at me and tell me that when u buy shoes and it's broke. buy another one. Worst ever service in my life.

Make sure before you order
Was trying to fix my headset so ordered the cable, since it was the headset that is bad they won't allow me to return the cable. So make sure it is what you want before you order a product!!!!

Cord is very easy to snap or twist,
cord snaps easily along the junction box for something that is meant to be strung across the floor
