It is a very versatile and I really enjoy how it is able to print from a phone. This is already a step ahead of most quality printers.

The print speed is not ideal, it doesn't hold a lot of paper, and the ink runs out relatively quickly because the cartridges are smaller. Being that it is a wifi printer, it also has some issues connecting to your computer in the printer is sleeping. If we had to do it again, would probably get either the Pro 6978 or 8710

Rated 5 out of 5 byHonestymatters from Connection issuesThis printer was a replacement for an older one that was undependable.Unfortunately, this OfficeJet 5255 has failed to connect wirelessly. I've tried adding it through Windows, Using the installation software, using the scan doctor wizard, and every method has failed. This is extremely frustrating. My next step is to call HP and see if they can figure this out.

In almost the same amount of time I unpacked my new HP Officejet 5255 to full operation. Set-up was so easy I thought I was missing something. Had to review the new FAX feature to change the number of rings. That's it. I challenge any new HP user to break my record with any other printer.

Then it stopped communicating with my computer and it took me a great amount of time to reconnect. I still can't get it to print from my iphone. The last attempt resulted in a message on the printer screen - "Error code - OXDBO435BC KERNEL_EXEC_ST
