Doesn't work. Don't buy it.
I bought this on the advice of an HP rep. I tried to install it myself and was unable to. So I called tech support (and paid $39.), as helpful as the support rep was, she could not get the device to work.

Unfortunately not plug-n-play
This JetDirect print server requires specialized firmware to be loaded on your printer. Instead of being a bridge to the rest of the organization, this added step creates lots of confusion and makes the system unusable.

Love Jetdirect 2900nw
When we brought our printer, we didn't get it with WiFi and missed being able to print from anywhere in the house. So I asked about getting a WiFi connection that would hook up to the printer that would make the printer like the others we've had. I'm glad I did.

Jury is still out.
I called HP to find out what product to buy to make my HP M527 wireless. HP recommended a product and I purchased a product. I hired a tech person to set it up for me. After a few hours, the tech person said that the product works but when I turn off my machine, it will break the signal and I will have to set it up all over again. I called HP and was told that the product I purchased was not the right product! They recommended another product, which I purchased (I know, fool me twice). I hired a different tech person to set up the second product. He got it working and left and when I came in the next day and turned on my computer, the wireless connection was lost! The/my tech person is now researching how to make the 2900nw keep the connection (which I was assured by HP tech people that it would). I feel like I'm in a loop and can't break out. I'm hoping the tech person can figure it out. I actually don't know how much HP is going to end up costing me.
