The HP Compaq Enterprise Business Notebook line offers a choice of security features and connectivity options to help customers protect their intellectual property and stay connected both inside and outside of the office. HP Protect Tools Embedded Security, compliant with the TCG (Trusted Computing Group) standard, incorporates an integrated TPM (trusted platform module) providing a more secure, hardware-based approach to protecting digital certificates and other cryptographic keys used for authentication and data protection. It also supports an optional integrated smart card reader to provide greater data protection and a more secure approach for user authentication.
