Really impressed with the quality and speed of the printing. The HP Smart app makes everything more interesting, you can do absolutely everything with it, choose the print quality, edit, crop and even scan a document or photo. Office is in love
I got this in this morning. I got to work hooked it up and printed all my invoices. They came out crisp. Out old printer was wrinkling our paper. Now we can read what's being printed. I can't wait to see how long the ink in this. We print about 2000 sheets in a week. I love that it's blue and has that color in out gray office
Update! Everyone loves this printer and how quick it prints out. I wish I would have gotten one that was wireless so the person next to me can use it also. It was super easy to hook up. Pretty much installed itself on my computer. Everything that is printed comes out crisp. It's so clear and my papers aren't wrinkled like the old printer. A lot more professional in my opinion.

It is not the printer. It is the support services. I may have made an incorrect purchase but your system will not recgonize the printers S/N so I cannot communicate with HP to return and purchase the proper model. I would love it if someone would reach out to me

Surprisingly Fast and High Quality
We got the Color LaserJet Pro 4201dn to use as a second printer in our house. My wife is a student and prints large volumes of papers, notes and presentations constantly. Setup was simple. Unbox, remove the (obvious) packing tape, plug it in and turn it on. The only downside was no WiFi, which is easily fixed with any WiFi/Ethernet bridge adapter. It's amazingly fast, premium quality and it looks great in her office. Definitely recommended!

Love This Printer
After using my new HP Color Pro 4201dn now for a few weeks, I can't stop raving to my coworkers and friends about it. Not only does it print blank and white copies very fast, the color quality on my color prints are spectacular. The setup was nice and easy, and I love the modern sleek look. I would definitely recommend this printer to anyone who is looking to replace/upgrade their old printer.

Not ideal
Not as well made as my older printer. Tin instead of heavy plastic. It needs too much hands-on. Even when the paper is full it wants the paper loaded or button pushed. It needs to be turned on every morning instead of being ready to go. I don't like the rotating button to reach files.

Love it....except
I am overall very happy with this printer. It prints really well and the colors are nice and vibrant. It has upped my crafting game with the quality of the images over my inkjet printer. It prints quickly and takes no time to print large amounts. My only complaint is that it is not wifi compatible and as my router is in another room, I did have to purchase an adapter to set it up in my home office.

Great product for a small office
I believe the HP Color LaserJet Pro 4201dn is an excellent choice for a connected office. The print quality is impressive for its size. While it may not be the fastest or boast a plethora of features, the output quality is outstanding. My least favorite aspect is the dial – it’s cumbersome to navigate and poorly designed overall. However, after the initial setup, I’ve barely needed to use it. The printer operates quietly and has an aesthetically pleasing appearance on a desk. Personally, I would prefer it in either all white or all black, but that’s more a matter of personal preference. The real considerations will be the cost of ink and the machine’s longevity. It integrates seamlessly with an iOS environment, which is a plus. The lack of WiFi connectivity is disappointing, especially in 2024, but we move on. Overall, I highly recommend this printer for offices with a small team that requires color printing.

Professional Prints
HP has done it again! This color printer has far exceeded my expectations. The print quality looks like we had our color brochures custom made! This printer is definitely being considered for a small business venture. I would trust my clients would be just as happy as I am with their custom print jobs! I had zero issues connecting to a wireless connection. Initially, I thought the printer was going to be too big and cumbersome, but it sits perfectly on the desktop area. This printer is very user-friendly. Overall, I am ecstatic about all aspects of this printer! Thank you, HP!

Great Home Office Color Printer
Right out of the box the 4201dn seemed like a great product. It was packaged very well and had a quick start guide as the first thing you found in the box. The printer is comparatively large, but the advertised dimensions were correct so it fit perfectly in the space I had allocated. Setup was extremely fast and easy, including the hard wired connection to a WiFi network to allow multiple users to print from anywhere on the same network. The printer is pretty quiet and prints very quickly in B&W as well as the ability to print on both sides which I did not have previously. Overall this seems to be a good value and solid printer for an office or home office setup.

GREAT SMALL BUSINESS COMPUTER
This printer is good for a home office or small business. The print quality is great even for color documents. The printer is quiet and doesn’t take up a lot of small. We did have a difficult time connecting the printer to the internet, because we believed the printer had a wireless internet adapter, it doesn’t. You will have to use a wireless adapter or an Ethernet cord to connect the printer to the internet. Also, we wish we had selected a printer with touchscreen capabilities.

Great printer
I was pleasantly surprised when I received this printer. It unboxed easily and setup was a breeze, I really like having the blue front panel as it makes it look even better, it's nice having a printer that is not all one color. After checking it over, I noticed how easy it is to change toner cartridges, pull the tray, and lift out the used toner. Connecting it to my home network was simple and quick. The only thing that took a few moments to get used to was the settings knob, but once you get it, operation is smooth. Printing is quick and looks great. Having a printer with auto-duplex is so convenient and conserves paper to boot. If all you need is a color printer and not a multifunction device, you should consider this printer.

A proven race horse
I’m the owner of a small sword fighting/ martial arts school. We do a fair amount of printing for promotions. A good color printer is essential to our success. For the last ten years we have used a HP Color Laser Jet CP1518ni. It has been an excellent partner in our endeavors. The best suitable upgrade appears to be the new HP Laser Jet Pro 4201dn. It’s full color capability and high speed printing (@ 35PPM) it is exactly what we need. Installation was as easy as plugging in the USB cord and performing the guided setup on the 2.7” screen by running through a few menus. The one challenge presented was that the scroll button/knob doesn’t seem secure and sturdy. The best feature of this printer for me is that the toner cartridges are reasonably priced and produce thousands of copies per cartridge. This printer is one of the best values out there today. I’m looking forward to many years of service.

Solid Quality Printer Just Shy of Excellence
I recently purchased the HP Color LaserJet Pro 4201dn for use in my home office. The 4201dn is a color laser printer from HP with a stylish design.
Setting up the printer was a simple process. It is heavy but still fits on my desk. It only took a few simple steps to be ready to print. The biggest issue was finding a cable to connect to my router. I knew this was not a wireless printer going into the purchase but discovered it to be a little more of an inconvenience than I had anticipated.
The single control knob is my only real gripe about the design. Itis functional but provides no tactile feedback when you turn the dial. The result is a somewhat sloppy feel in how it rotates. I don’t plan to use this knob often, so it is not a deal breaker. The display is a simple dot-matrix affair which is serviceable.
Finding the printer on my network and sending it my first job was effortless. It was quickly discovered by both my work and personal computers, and I was able to print within a minute of getting connected.
The printer warm up time is very brief. I expected it to take a minute or two get ready to print, but I it took less time than my ink jet to initiate a page.
The print speed is terrific. I was thoroughly impressed with how fast the page went from the initial mechanical churn to dispensing a finished product. It is much faster than my ink jet. The volume of sound produced by this printer is also significantly lower than the old ink jet. I used to have to pull the chord when my wife began a job while I was on a call in the office—not so with the 4201dn; it is quiet and fast.
Regarding the quality of the print, this was the shining star for me. Using regular paper, the difference in quality is night and day. The details and color displayed on the 4201dn was rich and well defined while the ink jet lacked significant details and definition. The printer supports a wide variety of paper types too, including glossy, and would go so far as to consider this printer for framed photos.
Between the general looks, speed and volume of prints, and the excellent print quality I recommend this printer. However, please know that the toner cartridges are very expensive, and you may find the per page print cost to be far higher than a tankless ink jet option. I’m pleased with a medium quality workhorse (my ink jet) to handle most jobs with the laser jet handling higher quality prints as needed.

Needs 1 Thing
This printer arrived quickly and was easy to set up. It is not wifi capable though, which is disappointing. For such a costly printer, it should be. So I had to get another mesh wifi port as the printer is located in a different room than my workstation. This printer is significantly larger and much heavier than my B and W laser jet but it works perfectly and prints clear, crisp images. The turning knob seems a bit archaic for today but it's easy enough to use and gets the job done. This printer has already come in handy for my work-related print jobs and a few school projects my kids have had. I would recommend this printer if you can connect your computer directly to this printer or connect via ethernet cable to your home network. This printer will take up quite a bit of space, so be mindful of that when deciding.

I’ve always wanted a laser printer at home
This printer came super easy to set up right out of the box. I’ve always wanted a laser printer because I hate how slow inkjet printers are and how I always feel like I have to change the ink so fast. I was so excited to be able to have a laser printer at home. The printer itself is very sleek and looks great in the corner of my study. It prints super fast and the quality is great. I’m sure it will be an amazing help with my work as well as allowing my children to print out what they need for school. The only change I would make to the printer itself if I could would to make it have wireless capability, but that would just be a bonus feature really. Overall, I am extremely happy with my new printer and would highly recommend it to everyone.

Good for Laserjet and Color Printing
I was in the market for a laserjet printer since I print so often working from home but also use color printing when necessary and for personal creative projects. What I like about the printer is how quiet and fast the printing is, how it has 2-sided printing, and the size of the laserjet is perfect for a small office and provides quality printed professional documents. It’s almost perfect, however the downside is it is not wireless and requires an ethernet/usb connection and the menu navigation is not user-friendly. I had a bit of trouble connecting it to the ethernet, but had to reset my router for it to be recognized. I really don’t like using the dial for the menu navigation as it is difficult and time consuming to use, especially if you have to type something such as connecting it to the network, or logging in as an admin or user. I also wish it didn’t log out every time. I know it is a safety feature but logging back in is such a hassle with the dial. When you type sometimes it doesn’t register that you clicked the character or it slides to the next character and selects it, then you have to navigate all the way back to the backspace and then back to the letter, hoping it doesn’t happen again. If the printer had wireless connection and a touchscreen menu, it would get five stars. But it serves its purpose well otherwise.

Nice Printer
Got the HP Color LaserJet Pro 4201dn to use in the office where I volunteer. Did have a few problems setting up due to computers need updated. When I finally got it set up the print quality was impressive. This will save us so much on going out to get color copies. It is a bit heavy. I would recommend this printer to anyone want ihgh quality looking copies.

I've been using an HP printer for over a decade. Previously, I had a black-and-white Wi-Fi printer, so I needed a color printer. The HP Color LaserJet has transformed my home office. Its vibrant color prints make my documents look highly professional. Although the setup was a bit challenging, I managed to install and set up everything. Once up and running, it's been smooth sailing. The first color page I printed was of a running horse, and I was impressed with the quality of the colors. It prints quickly, which is perfect for my DIY projects and my child's school work. I highly recommend this printer.

Awesome Printer
This printer has been a great addition to our home office. We print documents for work, personal use, and even our daughter prints out fun activity sheets. It prints very fast, so we never wait long. I love the 2 sided printing as well since it saves us money on paper. Connecting it to the internet was fast and easy, plus we can print right from our phones - such a nice feature. The colors and details of every printed document are fantastic. We get beautiful pictures and pristine outlines. Even our friends have commented on items we have printed out.

Excellent high quality prints
I have been very happy using my HP Color LaserJet Pro 4201dn. It prints really well - very clearly - and isn't too loud when printing. The footprint is a little large but that is expected for a LaserJet vs an InkJet. Setup was very easy. The graphics come put clean and bright, the text is sharp. Both printing speed and warm up are very quick. The price is very affordable for a Color LaserJet. I don't have to worry about the toner drying out or clogging up. I just can't say enough about how nice the prints were - whether it was a graphic or text - definitely better than my old printer. It even does photos well. I would definitely recommend this printer to friends and family.

This thing is a workhorse. It's quick and acurate. Network integration was simple with one ethernet cord. once attached to the network everything could see the printer with minimal setup from my iphone to my pc in another room. It does everything well from color to both side printing. The secondary feed draw is great and feeds wonderfuly. This will be a solid part of my office for years to come.

This printer boasts fast printing speeds, with both black and colored pages printing at up to 35 pages per minute (ppm). This meets my expectations, especially when compared to entry-level laser printers starting at around 20 ppm.
While the printer lacks built-in Wi-Fi connectivity, it can connect via Ethernet or USB. Setting it up via USB was straightforward and hassle-free, although Wi-Fi connectivity would have been a convenient addition for my home office setup.
The printer's trays (Tray 1 and Tray 2) accommodate various paper sizes, including legal, and support duplex printing. Tray 2's 250-sheet capacity (20lb paper) is adequate for most office needs, and the optional Tray 3 can add an additional 550-sheet capacity.

This printer is definitely one for power users or a relatively small business. Very crisp printing but a bit clunky for an average user to set up. I wish it had wireless capabilities but the different ways to connect for printing makes up for it.
Overall, it's a solid device for sizeable print jobs for power users or a small business.

Excellent Printer
We are brand new owners of a small consulting business and this printer is really great for our needs. It's a huge step up from our old inkjets, works lightning fast and we get a quality print every single time. No more printer telling us "I won't print your black and white job because I'm out of magenta!"
The one small thing that was annoying to me was that it does NOT come wi-fi ready, and you'll have to procure and use an adapter to use without being hardwired. We had one laying around, so it was no big deal, but that could be a huge annoyance to someone wanting to set up and go right away and finding a missing part.
We like to print from all sorts of devices including phones, and the printer has oodles of options to choose from. It has easy to find and use trays, and in a month of using it, I haven't had a single jam or botched job. I'm very impressed by it.
The single touch and press wheel to get to all the menus is nice, makes the printer look streamlined and neat.
It's a great printer and I anticipate it lasting and serving our needs for a long time.

This was purchased to replace a previous LaserJet printer, which was very slow and lacked a lot of features. This printer is a work horse of a printer capable of supporting a smaller workgroup of folks. It has Ethernet connectivity and USB support. Wireless is available on the 4201dnw but if your using Ethernet there is a pretty good chance you already have wireless in the location its being used so to me that was money saved. The duplex printing is also a nice feature to help save money on paper and the environment. Setup of the printer was straight forward, unbox, pull of shipping tape, add paper, plug in ethernet cable, and plug into wall. Windows 11 picked up printer with no drivers or anything having to be done. Used printer-based controls to get the IP address of unit and connected and configure it the rest of the way from the built in management webpage, which i included a picture of in this review. Printer is very fast, even in duplex mode. Colors are bright and vivid and another great thing about this printer compared to most is that there is no ink that will be drying up and unavailable when you need color like there is when you use an inkjet printer. All in all, I'm very happy with my purchase of this printer and it has been a welcome addition to my tech stack.

High Performance Printer
After having using the HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 4301fdn for over a week and having everyone in the office try to print at least a few different types of documents, we are pleased to say that this is definitely a product that lives up to its advertisements. This model is completely new to us and set up was surprisingly easy once we plugged into our network. It prints and scans really fast and the quality of the prints themselves were perfect for our needs. Although we have not needed extra ink as of yet, there is also the offer for free ink from HP. Overall we are really happy to have received this printer and it works really well for our small business.

AMAZING! This is HP Printer is the best of the best. Wireless connection, color, fast, and cheap ink costs. The setup was a breeze. I connected it to work with all computers on my home network and everyone even the kids can print without a hassle! This will be one of our most used electronics. My biggest thing was that "This printer is intended to work only with cartridges that have a new or reused HP chip, and it uses dynamic security measures to block cartridges using a non-HP chip." I received a free sample of this printer to review.

Finally a printer that just works
I really like this printer. For some reason, it seems like I have always been plagued with printer problems. Either the ink dried up or it didn’t print well or it just flat out broke. I just wanted something simple. Send the print job, it prints, done. I’ve finally found it. I’ve been using this printer a couple weeks and it’s been flawless. It’s so simple and it just works! The app is also simple and easy to navigate. I foresee this printer lasting years for me. Seems very well made and looks modern and professional. I would definitely recommend. I’m a heavy home user but believe it would be just as good in an office. So happy!

Printers these days are unnecessarily complex and need a thousand different drivers and don't work across computers and phones. Enter the HP Color LaserJet Pro 4201DN. It's simple and these days why pay extra for fax when you just need a solid printer? I opted for this model over the FDN for that reason. Color should always be in toner especially when printing large reports because ink runs out too quickly. Overall the initial setup was easy and I got it onto my network quickly and installed on my server via network. Then I was able to print to it from my phone via the same server and that gave me nice colorful pages.
Packaging wise its very compact considering it has 4 toner cartridges. The screen is easy enough to use and I like the splash of blue on the front. Pages come out quick with no smudges and so far I've printed over 100 pages with no jams.

Blazing fast professional printer
This printer was very easy to set up straight out of the box. I was set up and printing color images and multiple documents within minutes. Having the flexibility to use the Ethernet connection or USB allows multiple users in the house to connect and print. The print quality is really nice and I am glad that it has instant ink so I never have to worry about running out of ink. The printer is actually really quiet and it prints very fast. The knob for control gets some getting used to but besides that it is very intuitive to use.

Efficiently gets the job done!
I did not realize at first that the HP Color LaserJet Pro 4201dn was NOT a wireless a wireless connection. 100% my mistake. I spent days trying to figure out how to set it up. I finally reached out to customer support and their response time was immediate. Once I figured out my user error, set up was a breeze. The dial mechanism seems a bit outdated and annoying. That is my only real complaint, so I will get that out of the way! Other than that, it is a wonderful printer. I am using it for my home office and it is perfect. My husband is a football coach and camp season is upon us. He will periodically have to print out wavers for the team to fill out for the camps. This was a life saver when the head coach called, frantic, because he had overlooked a form the boys needed to fill out. It was late and he needed these printed out for the morning. We printed out the 50+ forms quickly and without issue. The last printer we had would take FOREVER to print out the forms and there was always multiple paper jams throughout. I will no longer feel annoyed or inconvenienced when he calls in a panic( it will happen multiple times throughout the season LOL) because this printer made it a breeze!

Disappointing Customer Service After the Sale!!
The purchase of the 4201 dn was a breeze and the associate I was dealing with was so helpful and went the extra mile to answer all my questions and find the right printer that would fit my needs and network. It was shipped quickly and it was easy to connect to my system. The printing is perfect. It's just what I needed. However, I only give them a 3-star rating because getting service after the purchase is nonexistent! Their specialty seems to be to continually transfer you to one person after another. It's disappointing not to be able to get the assistance you need. They need more competent personnel that are willing to help rather than pass you off to someone else. After being transferred 10 times I gave up. Useless customer service after the sale!!!

Great quality prints, easy setup
I highly recommend the Color LaserJet Pro 4201 dn printer to anyone looking for a quality color laser printer at an affordable price. It took less than 5 minutes to set up and start printing and the color and print quality is stunning. I love that this printer is always ready to go, no clogged heads or constantly changing ink cartridges.

I was sent a free sample of this HP color laser jet pro 4201dw wireless printer. I have to say that this printer works amazing. The color of the ink is so pretty on the printed document. It's clear and it prints quite quickly. Way faster than my hp envy printer that i had previously. The printer is quite a bit larger than my last printer so I had to find a better and bigger spot to set the printer since i don't have a shelf specifically for printers. But all in all this prints way better and clearer Than my older smaller printer. And much faster. I'm impressed.

An excellent color laser printer
Buying printers is one of those things that, despite their technological advances, we normally don't think about replacing unless there is a problem with our existing units. Enter the ultra-attractive HP Color LaserJet Pro 4201dn. First and foremost, it is an excellent printer that is very good at doing its assigned task. Pages look professionally printed and come out extremely fast. With the ability to print 35 pages per minute, this should suffice for any home or small office. Despite not being touch screen, the dial control feature works well.
The one thing I would advise to any future purchasers is to note that this particular model does require an ethernet connection, as opposed to wifi, so pre-planning placement of this printer is an absolute must.

A powerhouse color laser printer at a great price!
My HP 4201-dn purchase was a huge upgrade to my productivity. I recently hooked this printer up and was super pleased at the ease of configuration. Everything connected automatically and windows found the printer easily. The control wheel made navigating the menus much easier than traditional button-based input. Anyone who has ever entered an IP address into a printer using up and down keys knows what I am talking about here!
I printed a full-page color photo to test things and it was out in an instant. The print quality was great despite my lower quality paper and the printer quietly went back to sleep (probably saving a ton of energy.
I have since printed multiple large documents and multiple copies of Powerpoint documents for meetings and the quality and speed of this printer continues to amaze me. It is also really quiet when printing, so if you have a quiet office or business and want something that won't disrupt conversations, this is a sure winner. Consumables are also much cheaper for this than ink-jet based printers so you not only print faster and quieter, but also save money when it comes time to purchase supplies.
I am a big fan overall and will recommend this printer to anyone looking for a small business or professional home printing solution.

Absolutely love this printer.
I love this printer. It was so easy to set up on my internet network. Prints extremely quick. Nice clean and crisp lookin prints. The only thing I've had trouble doing with it is adding it to my hp account and starting HP Insta Ink. I still need to play around with more of the features it offers. But so far I absolutely love this product.

Crisp and fast
The HP LaserJet Pro4201 is a quality printer. It is very easy to set up and instructions are easy to follow. It comes ready to plug into your network via ethernet cable or computer with USB. As an inkjet user in my home office, I needed to take the leap and purchase a quality desktop laser printer. The quality of the print is crisp and clean. It prints quickly so no long waits for large print jobs. The toner cartridges are easy to locate and replace. I love that the toner comes in individual cartridges saving money on just replacing what you need. Great product.

Great all around printer!
First Off, this had to be the easiest printer setup. It came with the printer itself (pre installed toner), the power cord, and the instructions booklet. Once it plugged in, you plug in the Ethernet cable, and load the paper. It leads you through a few prompts on the printer and you are ready to print.
The printer is a decent size with a large paper tray. We use it for our home, but it could easily be used in a small office setting. If you are used to inkjet printers that take a bit to print, this print time almost seems instantaneous. We printed a couple samples right off the bat including a document as well as a photograph. The black and white document came out great as expected. The color photograph came out great!
Overall our family have not had any complaints. We would highly recommend this HP printer to anyone looking for to set it up in a small office or home. It gets an A+ for ease of setup as well as print quality and speed.

A Great Replacement for Inkjet and Laser Printer
I recently replaced my old setup of an all-in-one inkjet printer and a separate black and white laser printer with this HP printer. I mainly print documents with occasional color printing, and I scan using my phone so I wasn't looking for a scanner function in the new printer.
Easy Setup, Almost - Unboxing and initial setup were a breeze. The printer itself is a bit heavy, but getting it ready to go was quick. I plugged it in, answered a few setup questions, and downloaded the app. However, I missed a crucial detail: this HP printer requires a wired ethernet connection to set up with the app. After a quick trip to the store for a cable, I was back on track. Once I connected the cable, the app found the printer immediately and I was ready to print.
This HP printer is a speed demon! It handles both documents and photos with ease, and the double-sided printing is equally fast. Even when using duplex printing, the speed is impressive. The documents are crisp and sharp, and even photos look good on this machine.
For a color laser printer, this HP model has a surprisingly small footprint. It won't take up a ton of space on your desk. It also has a handy bypass tray that lets you print on specialty papers, which is a feature I might use in the future.
Overall, a Great Choice. This HP printer is a great replacement for my old inkjet and laser printer combo. It's fast, produces high-quality prints, and has a small footprint. The only hiccup during setup was the requirement for a wired ethernet connection, but once I had that, the app setup was quick and easy. If you're looking for a fast and versatile color laser printer for home or office use, this HP model is a great option.
