I bought this to replace the original one that came with my Envy PolyStudio laptop. The original cord had a fiber/textile type covering, which frayed rather quickly with use. It wasn't long before insulated wiring was exposed in the original cord. I was of course worried about electrical shock or a fire starting. The HP 65W USBC LC Power Adapter is a great improvement because it is completely black plastic covered (as opposed to the fabric-like covering on the one that came with the laptop) and holds up well with no fraying. It also withstands being bent at a very acute angle at times (depends on where it's being used and where the nearest electrical outlet is) with no damage. Well worth the reasonable cost!

Tried to return it to no avail. No one would help
I tried numerous times to return this item. It was not what I thought it would be. I kept getting promised that a return would be set up and that you would email the instructions and shipping label. I never ever received either. I gave up. It is sitting in a box in my den. If there is anyway I can still return it I would be grateful. It is doing no one any good sitting here. I also miss the money I spent to order this.

Doesn't work for my computer
I talked with an associate at HP and they told me that the 65 W and the 45 W are compatible for my computer. However when I installed the 65 W AC adapter it didn't work. My computer didn't turn on. So I returned it back to the company.

This is a great supplement to the charger that comes with the laptop. I bought it so I could keep it plugged in at home all the time, and have one for work also. The cord is long enough and it keeps the laptop charged.
