Necessary for portable solar panel!
I bought this cable because I didn't want to attach my solar panel directly to my RV roof. Using this cable, I'm able to park my vehicle in the shade and stretch out the panel into the sun. This is CRUCIAL in the California heat! It keeps the inside of my RV cool while still capturing all of the sun/power into my Yeti 400 (AGM - without having to bring the power bank out of the vehicle (which isn't possible since it's also hooked up to my 12volt fridge).

Allows for Flexibility!
I needed more distance between my Yeti 150 and the panels... this works beautifully. Very helpful... my panels are now in better sun and the Yeti charges much faster.

I was surprised...
... and very disappointed that the female end of the cord doesn't have the reassuring click and retention of all of the other Goal Zeros 8mm cords. This leaves a little of the silver of the plug exposed. The male end however has this feature. The MC4 to 8mm adapter that I'll be plugging into the female end of the 30' extension also has this feature. The only solution to cover the small bit of the exposed portion will evidently have to be shrink tubing as this portion will be exposed to the elements.
I'm not real happy with this "solution".

If you gotta have it, you gotta have it.
If you need to extend the distance between your panels and your Goal Zero generator or your home brew solar generator with Goal Zero inlet plug, you will needs this. Not the cheapest cord in the world, but not so bad either.

Great accessory, but at a cost
I love being able to keep my power pack away from the panels and out of the heat. But, loosing approximately 25% of your panel output can make a huge impact when you are charging a large power pack or an overcast day. It would have been nice if they used a larger cable to help minimize the power loss.

Extends to the ends!
This cable does exactly what it says it does. I am so pleased. I can put my solar panel in the sun and I don't have to chase the sun with my battery and panel. Those days are over. All I have to do is put the panel in the sun and enjoy the fact that the battery can be inside and no "sun-chasing." Thank you Goal Zero, you've done it again!

Does the job, but not for Saga 100 panel
I found that my Jackery 500 does NOT like being above 104F, and that the ground in my Forida panhandle backtard gets a bit hotter than that even if the air is only 84F, so I needed some help. MY shed is about twenty feet away, and with this cable I could indeed stash the 500 in a cooler place. Unfortunately, however, this only worked with a no-name Chinese panel and NOT at all with the Jackery 100 Saga pane. (I guess the center conducter on the Saga is a trifle too short. So think twice before buying this to put on a Sata 100.

Nice accessory
This is an indispensable item that should be included in everyone's kit. I am able to set up my 2 Boulder 30 arrays on the deck and chase the cables though the dog door to my Yeti 1250 inside the house for all weather operation.
A little pricey.

Out of Stock
I purchased the cable a couple of weeks ago. I had to call to find out that it was out of stock and it would take several weeks to receive it. I got a "Sorry about that" response from the support person. I was planning on using the cable to place my Boulder 30 panels in a desirable and safe place as soon as possible but I still don't have any idea when I will get it. This is the only bad experience I have had with Goal Zero. My YETI 1250 works like a charm.

Must have for Yeti Solar charging.
It is a 25 foot cable that lets your extend your solar panels output further to allow your yeti to be further away or inside shelter. The included velcro cable wrap is nice. The MC4 - 8mm cable didn't "click" into the 25' extension cable. Disappointing since all the other GZ stuff seems to do that. I wrapped it with a couple beads of electrical tape and all is well. I am glad I bought it, but disappointed that it doesn't fit well with the MC4 adapter.

Ok for what it is
Not to bad a cable if you want something to just space your panels out but not for a permanent mounting would have been better to get mc4 wire main problem with this cable is connectors don't seal well

Cable seems to be well-made & performed as expected under limited usage so far. Shipping was prompt but is now out-of-stock as is the MC4 SOLAR 25FT EXTENSION CABLE which is disappointing.

30 foot hpp cord
I recently purchased this cord from goal zero customer service. I have bought many gola zero products over several years. I needed to be able to charge up my yeti 1500X while using it in place. I had tried to use 2 hpp cords as well as my 30 foot hpp cord, well the 15 foot cords were warming up as I had 8 100watt panels pushing watts through the 15 foot cords to the 30 foot cord. It was obvious I needed another 30 foot cord to avoid an heat issues with my 15 foot cords. It worked/functioned as it should. Once again I am pleased to give another goal zero product a 5 star rating. I will say that I really hope in the future that the 1000X will also have the wifi option. A big THANKS to Goal Zero Customer service. I wish the price point was lower for the new lithium yetis, but as my dad use to say "you get what you pay for". FYI my Yeti 1500X is still going strong after 2 1/2 years of service, it is such a great product.
