a huge disappointment
Sadly, as usually happens with online shopping, the colour on the website is no where near the colour of the product. the Cocoa colour is ugly -- especially the strap. The watch is uncomfortable to wear. It isn't smart enough to know that it doesn't go to bed with me and assumes because I told it a bedtime, I'm sleeping and gives me a sleep score for up to the time I take it off. When I say I want metric units of measure, I want metric units of measure for everything ... not just my activities. The weather, distance, and sleep widgets are next to useless. I also would like to set the timer for longer than 59 min; and set my exercise time or distance from the watch, not the awkward multilayered app. I do not find the app all that intuitive. I boutght it because I respect the Garmin brand, and wanted the analogue clock face. I think I will return it;l I thought of exchanging it, but I doubt firmware / software issues -- which really are at the heart of what I dislike most about the watch -- differ with the styles.

A Step Ahead of Vivomove HR
I bought the Sport because my HR OLED was becoming fuzzy. Eventhough the face is smaller than the HR, the Sport is easier to read and the hand move away from the messages that appear. It has a lot more health programs and reminders and responds better to wrist movement. The pairing wasn't easy, and I find that the battery doesn't last up to five days. But all in all it is well worth the money.

Sinc to watch& would not give the paring code again! This is a replacement for the first one which would shut down at weird percentage of battery. Or would just stop talking to my iPhone. So now I don’t know what I am doing to do .

Simple and amazing!
I bought this a few weeks ago because I was looking for a cute smart watch that had health features such as heart rate, sleep, workouts, brpm, cycle tracking, etc. This watch is very simple and good looking and I also feel like it’s kinda cheap for the features that it has. I will add that it’s really hard to see the screen in the sun but other than that I have no complaints! Highly recommend getting this!!

Great information
I’ve had the watch about a month. Very happy with most of the days I’m getting about myself. The face is bigger than I realized, but I’m getting used to it. The only thing I don’t trust is the distance on outside walks. Walking the same route it has said the distance is everything from 1.2 miles to 2.5 miles. The actual distance is 1.7 miles. This is with and without tying to the gps on my phone. I also wish it would give you the number of steps as well as the distance when you go on a walk/run. Overall I’m happy with my purchase.

Brilliant Watch!
I got this watch from my mum who never wore it. I had intended to buy a fitbit but now i am so glad i tried the garmin. I can listen to my music and control it from the watch, it also tells me my stress level and body battery which are amazing features. The only thing i would change about this watch is the settings page which can be a bit confusuing to find if you've never used this watch before
overall great watch!

Love, love, love
I bought this as a replacement for my HR, it's screen starting dying from the corners in. I was so sad to see it go but so happy with my replacement! I love hybrid smart watches and they are hard to find. This watch is beautiful, the color is more taupe than I expected but I like it. The screen is much brighter than my HR - I can even see it in the sun! Battery lasts a good 5 days. Has some features I didn't expect like call answer/decline and some pre-loaded text responses. Just can't say enough good things. I get so many compliments on my Garmin hybrid watches. People are so surprised.

Average watch
The Garmin vivomove sport watch is a solid choice for those seeking a stylish and functional wearable device. The bands are comfortable to wear for extended periods, making it suitable for everyday use. The watch offers a decent set of features that cater to basic activity tracking and notifications. With a battery life of approximately 4 to 5 days, users can enjoy uninterrupted usage without frequent charging. However, a common concern arises with the delicate glass display, prompting many users to seek protective covers for added durability. Unfortunately, finding a suitable protective cover that fits the unique design of the watch can be challenging, which can be disappointing for those looking to safeguard their device from scratches and damage.

Great value!
I had a few Fitbits and an old Samsung watch before this, and the Fitbits were great software and fitness focus but lacked in reliability/was buggy, while the Samsung seemed super fancy on-watch software with few bugs but lacked fitness focused features hardware and software wise. Plus Fitbit has gone down hill, imo, with their subscription and being bought by Google.
This Garmin has so far be a great middle ground. Has all the fitness features I want, while remaining bug free. I love the simplicity of the hybrid, allowing for a long battery life but still having the features I want from my smart watch. So far my biggest complaint is the screen brightness is much too dim to see in bright sunlight, so you kinda get stuck just using it as a normal watch.
I feel this is certainly a great purchase if you want a fitness focused smart watch on a budget. The stylish looks make it reasonable to wear around town or at work, too!

Heart Rate Monitor Way Off
I purchased this watch about a month ago because I wanted a hybrid that would still look like an actual watch. I also was excited to have a wearable that focused more on health and wellness than my Apple Watch. However, I realized quickly that the metrics seem way off. When I was on the Stairmaster extremely out of breath, and the machine was reading my heart rate as 153, my watch never recognized me being active and it said my HR was 83 the whole time. I wore my Apple watch and this one at the same time and my Apple watch and the machine were a few numbers off but relatively in the same ballpark range. Now, I am not sure if this is just my watch that may have an issue or if they are all like this I have never owned a Garmin before. so take this review for what it is, my personal experience.

Nice watch, but.....
I ordered this watch because I wanted a Garmin watch, but I didn't want all of the bells and whistles of the tactical watches they are known for. This watch has some nice features and it worked well for me until I had to charge it for the second time, and that is where it let me down. The watch wouldn't charge. Not sure if it was the charger or the watch, but I ultimately returned it. I'll buy another Garmin watch, but I'll spend a little more money in hopes of getting my money's worth.

Excellent, dependable, durable!
I have had this watch now for almost a year, longer than any other watch I've owned. I'm an active guy and very hard on jewelry and watches, but this watch has been banged around several times and keeps on ticking. The Garmin App is very useful and the watch never fails. It is true to it's battery promise, I get 4-5 days between every charge, but fortunately it charges quickly, usually within two hours I'm fully charged again. I'm really happy with this watch and the price point was right on. Thank you,

Poor battery life
I've had mine for about two weeks and paid rush delivery to get it before vacation. It seems to me to have very poor battery life. It usually is completely out of battery in 36 hours. Also, sometimes the double tap feature to stop my exercise does not work. Will probably return.

Meets all my needs!
I have had this watch for two years and had to have help to reset certain settings on two different occasions. The service department was wonderful and kind in giving me help. Most younger owners would not have needed help to figure how to reset but at 76 this is a whole new adventure. The watch works well and has had no problems with how it works. I would happily recommend this vivomove Sport to everyone.

Amazing watch
I originally bought a Whoop because I only was interested in learning the most accurate data about my health. After two weeks with it, I had realized the sleep tracking features were horrendous. Returned it and made the switch to this garmin device. This has been extremely accurate. I love all the different features and metrics this watch has. While also not being too noticeable/obvious a smart watch. Loving this. Highly recommend

Pretty disappointed
I had the choice between Garmin and Fitbit, and in all honesty, I wish I chose Fitbit.
The first time I wore the watch out in public, only 1 week after I got it, the screen got scratched. I was not impressed as all I was doing was sitting at a table. I'm supposed to wear this watch all the time, and it's not fit for purpose in my eyes if it scratches so easily (the scratch is above the digital display so is hard to see now). When I looked this up, it's not covered by Garmin, so now I'm stuck with a scratched watch face.
The next disappointment is that is doesn't seem to measure my distances or steps properly - I always walk with my husband, and at the end of our morning walk he has always completed much more than me, even though we are the same height and walk at the same pace.
These are just a couple of the things that happened as an example - recommend you do your research before buying.

Classy look, tough, accepts standard watch bands
I’m glad I chose Garmin when I needed to replace my tracker. I was happy to hear that the battery would last up to 5 days, but decided to turn on the sleep tracking option - which brought that claim of 5 days between charges down to about 2. So that’s fine, I can charge it every couple days. I really like the look of an analog watch with the hidden screen. I do find that the screen sometimes doesn’t respond right away, especially if my hands are dirty, so turning off an alarm or looking at an alert or starting an activity isn’t always frustration free, but what do you want, if there were a single button I wouldn’t be able to dive with it on to check my spo2 and the like. Speaking of getting it wet, I’ve noticed that when I do get it wet sometimes it recognizes water as a touch and starts moving through menus as if I were interacting with the touch screen, that’s fine, I was being sarcastic about diving above, I don’t swim often and can use shower time to charge it! No big deal. Overall, I’m very pleased with the purchase and the customer service - despite anything I’ve said, for the price point is it WAY better than what I switched from in almost every way. That almost is because on the other one I could reliably dismiss alarms when my hands are dirty, which is often.

A step forward but still some deficiencies
I have been using it for one month. Previously I had a Vivomove HR and its LED display failed after 4 years.
Good points of the Sport
- the heart rate sensor is more accurate. My intensity minute scores are way up.
- additional sensors/metrics: sleep score, sleep pulse ox, respiration, body battery
Not so good points:
- it undercounts steps when I walk with poles. I was expecting MoveIQ to be now smart enough to detect hiking with poles
- battery life is closer 3 days than the advertised 5
- Body Battery lacks normative references. In the meantime, you can track it against yourself

for yoga lovers
I was looking for a watch that didn't have many features, vivomove sport meets what I wanted, it records my activity and helps me know specifically what I want. especially for those of us who like the practice of yoga, it is ideal and easy to use. In addition, the design is beautiful, I think the best thing is how it mixes the use of a classic watch with a smart watch. I love it and I wish there were more versions of designs and styles.

There are many other features like the body battery and oxygen scanner that I think are super cool. This watch has helped me set goals and follow through. I'm a college student with crazy sleep patterns, which is of course not ideal but I need to keep track of my sleep.

90% Satisfied. I love the watch face!
I bought it a year ago for our Scotland trip to track steps, and we walked a lot. I'm forgetful to turn it on for specific hikes out in our hills and over to the bays, or I forget to STOP, but it stays accurate in comparison to a friends tracker. The biggest "life saver" is that it showed me low in sleep pulse ox and now I am on a CPAP machine for nights. Overall, my dissatisfaction is my own difficulty in operation. I would recommend this watch for anyone who wants a fashionable and functional watch.

Garmin make this So frustrating!
The watch is great so far - an awesome example of minimalistic design with great features. I wanted a classic looking watch that can help with fitness and I thought I had found it with the vivomove sport.
However the frustrations and roadblocks that Garmin put in the way makes me unable to recommend ANY Garmin to my friends.
No1 -you have to have the latest phone - or else garmin connect app wont download, so I cant use my phone with this new watch, and there goes half of the reasons why I bought it. I have to connect to my Ipad just to get it to work.
No2 Accessories - Garmin make a million different bands for all their models, except I am restricted to a 20mm size if I want it to fit on my watch - 20mm is too small, just give me an extra 2mm.
No3 - I cant find a backlight - so the watch is useless after dark
And all of this is after 2 days of using it. It is a birthday present so I will stick with it, but Garmin are their own worst enemy

Beautiful Watch
I absolutely love the way this looks!
The battery lasts 3-5 days and that is amazing compared to my Apple Watch!
The hidden touch features have a small haptic to let you know the watch has entered the menu.
Simple, elegant and helps me meet all my fitness goals!

I had an older Vivo type watch which I liked but was starting to get worn out. I love the look of this Vivomove. It works great. But subtle and stylish. I think the battery runs down a little quicker than I like, but I really think a tweak of features that I may not use will give better battery life. Garmin is my go to for fitness smart watches.

Does exactly what I was looking for
Keeps a battery life for a couple of days as long as you don't use the some sleep oxygen feature that really drains the battery but its overall a great hybrid. Looks and acts like a watch while also tracking everything I need. wish is came with gps but hey the price point is great.

Attractive watch!
I bought the light green watch. It looks nice on. However, the information is white light and very hard to read, especially in bright conditions.
Battery needs charged every 3 to 4 days.
I personally don't find it user friendly. Have a hard time finding features on the app as well.
But maybe that's just me!

Great size and features for a 2nd Garmin watch
I bought this as a compliment to my Fenix 6 watch for a couple of reasons. First I wanted to monitor my sleep and personally found the Fenix bulky. Second, the Vivomove Sport fits better when wearing a dress shirt when I am unlikely to need the adventure features of the Fenix. Body metrics are best viewed in the Connect app rather than the small watch face of the Vivomove, but standard functions such as time, alerts etc work well on the available screen.

More and Less Than I want
I have had this device for more than 3 years. I like the simple face. I use it mostly to watch steps. Time, date, and temperature are nice. The other measurements don't mean much to me (more than I want). I wish it would provide distance walked on the face; you have to go to the app on your phone for distance covered (less than I want). It seems to disconnect more as it ages. Just often enough to that I can't recall exactly what to do.

Great value and functionality
I really like this watch for its functionality and how it looks. I am a big fan of the analog watch face and its loaded with features. The app is great and easy to use and I think the battery life is pretty good. If it had more features like indoor cycling that would be great but you can change the activity in the app so not a big deal.

It's mildly OK at best
I bought it because it's a hybrid meaning it has a real watch movement - hands and all, and a tiny screen to notify you and monitor basic health stuff like steps, BPM, etc. Other than a lockup I had which was quite a process to fix, I don't like that the battery % of charge does not show up on the app (big miss), and the display itself does require reading glasses to read. At least the icons are good and I can decipher the notifications, just not the details. I also HATE that it does not use Qi wireless charging. The cable they give you is proprietary, not even USB C. Such old tech for a cutting tech company like Garmin - or are they?

I appreciate the physical watch with the easily accessible fitness features. My requirements were minimal including only steps, heart rate, and sleep monitoring.
Aesthetically the device looks great on my wrist and appears size proportionate for my larger frame ( 6’5”, 250lbs)

The watch and its functions are exactly what I was looking for. I up graded from my old little Garmin to one with watch face and hands. I would give it a 4 or 5 star if the battery would last 3 to 4 days but the battery goes dead after one day.

Disappointing
I have a small Garmin vivosport and wanted to upgrade to more features and longer battery. I got the brown vivomove sport with the clock face and it is very attractive. But there are a few things about the mechanics that I do not like. Perhaps it is my inability to make it work right. First, if I register my sleep time so the watch is “inactive” during that time it really shuts everything down. I can’t even see the time in the middle of the night or dark because it won’t light up or turn on.so I had to un-register that part and now I can see the time in the dark but I also get watch activity(buzzes) all night. The little vivosport did not have that problem. Also I am not happy with the handling of the widgets….so many and not always what I want. When set to activity, like walking, it shows the time but not the distance as you go. Setting to watch GPS or phone GPS? Very confusing because it doesn’t work in all situations and I’m not sure the advantage of each way. Hiking in sparce GPS area (mountains) my vivosport did just fine, except I’d run out of battery before the hike was over. I like Garmin and expected more from this watch. I will be returning it if they’ll take it back. It’s taken me awhile to try it out in different situations to see if my problems were human error.

Setup very sensitive. Read the manual.
Arrived late yesterday so I quickly opened the box, read the brief instructions and got right down to it. A little too quickly. I was late recognizing the “hello” prompt and went downhill from there. Instead of English I got some strange foreign language and had no idea where I was after that. Before too long I had a mixture of problems with the watch, the Bluetooth settings, the Garmin Connect iPhone app and couldn’t even use the Vivoactive watchI I was replacing. Today I spent more than an hour starting with Amazon support chat and a chain of 4 other technicians some Amazon and others Garmin before I gave up. Early on of course I watched a number of YT videos on factory reset to restore the watch to the as-shipped state but didn’t quite catch on. Now, watching again I realized that I had understood all of it except for the last step (heavy accent) so Ii concentrated on just that step and it was just to click on the word Default and then the checkmark. Print so tiny I couldn’t really read it but I had memorized that it was the middle of the 3 choices and I could see it. From there the process worked reasonably well and the remaining problems I had already learned how to deal with them. Seems to be working well and I’ll use it as my primary wearable for a couple of weeks to learn it but then switch bac to my Vivoactive 4 for the buttons and much larger print and use the vivomove Sport for my activities. Lesson learned: Don’t give up and learn everything you can before you start. If you’re a natively careful person you can pretty much ignore this review.

Never kept time, now it won’t connect to bluetooth
I “upgraded” and expected better performance. Far from it. The hands/face had the wrong time more than it didn’t and I was never able to correct it via the app—repeatedly got the message that it wasn’t connected to app even though it was. The two days it did work it would not give me a sleep score. Now it won’t connect to my bluetooth/phone at all. I am traveling but am returning this first thing when I get back home. I want to go back to the basic garmin that I had before.

Hybrid Smartwatch for the Win
I had been using a smartwatch that my family presented to me on my birthday a long time ago. It then started to be rather useless for almost a year as it required frequent charging, even multiple times a day, that I could not even tell the time when I needed to. So finally I looked around and saw this vivomove Sport and purchased it using the reward points I got from my company. This watch is a life changer for me! Now I can easily check the time (using the analog mode) at any time, with multiple-day-lasting battery life when fully charged, and it still notifies me when I am getting notifications or calls on my phone. It's perfect for my life at this stage now.

Great Upgrade!
I used to have a Vivo band and I wanted to upgrade to a fancier looking piece. Tried the Lily, was not impressed and switched back. Then, after sometimes, decided to take the leap on this one and I LOVE IT! A great Upgrade with the same functions. All I wanted. Just make sure you get a cover for the face, as it has high chances of getting scratched if you are clumsy (like me.)

More than "just a watch"
I've been wearing my Vivomove Sport for a few weeks now so I think I can finally give an informed review. I like the simplicity of the watch the most, I am not a training athlete or someone who is working out hardcore so being able to pick what information I want shown and when I want it shown on the face is exactly what I was looking for. I really like being able to pair to the GPS on my phone so I have a visual of my route when biking, walking or running (I hike and kayak too but haven't tried the GPS while hiking yet so I can't account for the accuracy during those specific activities). The overall health features on the app are great too but warning if you're just starting out: the fitness age may be a bit discouraging at first. Now onto the things I do not like, first and foremost no matter what I do I can't get it to automatically start tracking an activity. I have MoveIQ and Activity Tracking turned on, but it does not automatically track. I have to manually go into the activity setting on the watch and start the selected activity (walking, running, biking, what have you) which is fine as long as I remember to turn it on. Coming from not having a fitness tracker to this, I do tend to forget to turn the activity on which is frustrating because that auto on feature was one of the reasons I chose a Garmin in the first place. Also on that note, I have had a few times when a bike ride has gone past the 1 hour mark and the activity is abruptly ended without notification so all of the travel/time/work out after that 1 hour mark isn't recorded, again really frustrating. The only other downside is the watch comes with a standard size band, if you've got a slightly larger wrist (mine is 7.8 inches) and you do not want a super tight band, you have to order another band SET for an additional cost, which I did but why pay additional money for the 1 longer band piece (3 band pieces come in a set)? To me, it would make more sense to include the 1 longer piece with the watch. All in all, I really do like the Vivimove sport and I think once I work out the issue with the auto tracking I will like it even more.

Fantastic hybrid watch
I LOVE the hybrid watch! I really like that it looks like a traditional watch but has all the functionality I need in a smart watch. I upgraded to this from my vivomove hr after several years and I’m really pleased with it. Lots of features the hr didn’t have, like body battery, pulse ox and advanced sleep monitoring. Lovely watch - rubbish battery
Absolutely love the watch and it’s features but the battery life lets it down massively.
Can’t go 2 days without having to charge even though all notifications are off. No GPS and every setting practically disabled.
If the battery was better it would be the ideal watch,
If it wasn’t for the features on the Garmin connect app such as body battery and other measurable statistics I’d go back to Fitbit or Apple Watch

Awesome features
I’ve never owned a smart watch before as all the ones that are out on the market right now cost an arm and a leg but GovX is affordable and sells quality products. I love how this watch can Jeep track of several different things at once but I also have to say a minor little thing I don’t like and that’s how the step counter doesn’t seem to synch up with the one that is on my smart phone but then again maybe it does but I just haven’t figured it all out yet. Because both step counters give me different counts rather then the same for both. Keeping track of multiple things like resting heart rate, breaths per minute, calories burned, distance traveled, steps taken.

Just okay
I bought this when my old vivoactive music started glitching and I was offered a discount on another watch. It works well but it is more of a lifestyle watch than a practical running or exercise watch. It does track distance and has the same data collected via the garmin connect app which has been helpful. The next garmin watch I get will have a bigger screen so I can see more of the data while I am exercising.

Nice looking, swim tracking doesn't work
The watch looks great and seems to work well for running and cycling, but it's a lemon when it comes to counting laps at the pool. I exchanged the first one I'd received, but the replacement is likewise erratic and inaccurate when it comes to swimming. In the future, I'd go back to a Fitbit.

Very good hybrid watch
Love my Vivomove Sport watch. It is very lightweight and comfortable to wear that you forget you are wearing a watch. I have setup without too many features turned-on and so I get 7 to 8 days of battery life. The Connect app gives an incredible amount of data.
In the interest of full disclosure I must sat that the first Vivomove Sport that I purchased had many Bluetooth connectivity issues. Garmin support was excellent and when their troubleshooting efforts did not fix the issues, they promptly sent a new watch to replace my faulty one. The new watch has been functioning flawlessly and I am very happy.
