Rated 5 out of 5 by from More features than I need Bought a month ago because friends wanted an emergency tracker because of my age. The exercises I do at the senior center, like an indoor bike and other strengthening machines are not listed. But I have it to keep safe. Also had to hire someone to set it up because too complicated.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent features, complicated set up I've been using my new Garmin Venu2s for about 2 weeks. I enjoy the available features but am finding the set up for the auto start for my daily walking activity a challenge. Originally, it appeared to work just fine. It tracked my walk and saved the data. The next few times the device decided to "save the activity" and from that point just counted the steps but did not save the full time on the activity. I think I traced that phenomenon on a trigger when my heart rate reached over 110. So, I added "the run app" to my favorites even though I do not actually run, I do sometimes pick up a rather brisk walking pace. For all of these walks, I was using a cane due to some back and balance issues. I have switched to using trekking sticks as my personal preference. Now, the Garmin does register the steps but does not ever recognize the walking activity. I have added the "hike" app but that did not change the lack of recognition of the activity. I am disappointed that I have been unable to set up my smart watch to accommodate my personal activity preferences. If someone can help me with this, I'd appreciate it. Also, I don't find the help on the "connect" phone app helpful in this matter. After spending the money on the Garmin, I'm considering a return to my old Fitbit that gives me fewer features but easier set up. Don't connect me with an online chat or any other assistance that uses AI, I don't find it helpful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Change From Fitbit I've had the Venu 2S for about a month and it's a nice upgrade from my Fitbit Luxe. It's been a little challenging learning the features but I'm sure I'll get there.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Watch and great Garmin customer service. I purchased this two months ago and the sensors lights quit working. I contacted customer support and they determined the watch needed to be replaced. They didn't have a new Venu2s watch in stock so I requested a Venu 2 which was the same price and they complied with my request. Great Customer Service.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does Everything I Need - and More Our family has a long history with assorted Garmin fitness watches, and this Venu 2S is the collective best of our collection. Every feature offered (heart, steps, sleep, connectivity, App) all have gotten better and more intuitive each generation. I don’t use all the features, has more than I need. But it has the ones important to me. And they all work well. Easy and intuitive to access data and results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple and smart I love everything about This watch except it does not capture my heart rate consistently. I have tattoos so I can say that is the reason why. Also, it does not capture all my steps when I run in a treadmill or walk.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Loving this watch This is a great watch. I love the battery life and the functions it has. The fact that i can run and listen to music without bringing my phone is a big plus. the only thing i do not like is that my alarms that i have set on my phone do not go off on my watch and i cant cancel them from my watch. i would have given 5 stars if that function was available.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of Health & fitness related Information I have had this for 6 weeks now. The watch data is very good. What is not good is the updates which seem to completely mess up my watch. I have had to uninstall & re install the watch on to the app. Also frustrating is that the screen has twice gone dark, I have no idea why. When i looked up the details in the manual it advises what to do. What it fails to help with is that when you cannot see on the screen it’s quite difficult to switch off or anything else. Please sort out how you do updates, this also happens on my husband’s garmin

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of bugs Not quite as good as I was expecting. Move alerts stopped working after a week and i just can't make it work again, tried resetting device several times, dnd, sleep times, beta enrolling, reinstalling connect/iq store, nothing helped. Music player doesnt properly work, volume control is broken for phone music. Garmin express is buggy as well, some apps show up twice. Workout videos seemed like a nice feature but with broken UI its not feasible to use it for creating your own workouts, for example you can't view videos when making your custom workout, app creators assume you know all workouts by name, its also not categorized so yoga and strength workouts are all in the same hundreds long dropdown list. Its an ok device but I won't be buying garmin again, it looks like they spread their dev team too thin over bunch of devices so there's like 6 different apps/websites to control everything so a bunch of things you would buy this device for simply won't work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exactly what I wanted I was looking for a fitness tracker with 24 hr HR monitoring. Garmin was one of the few where recording lifting and bouldering sessions was easily available. This watch has been everything I wanted and yet still exceeds expectations with some cool training plan feature for running as well. I've really liked this watch. My only feedback is that the raise to wake feature of the watch isn't very sensitive and I often have to click my watch A button to turn on the screen despite bringing my arm up to look at the screen. Overall, however, I've really liked this watch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great all around watch! Great watch for everyday life. Bought this a few weeks ago and I love it! It’s already helped my running pace tremendously thanks to Garmin Coach and it has all the features I need. So far it’s been really durable. Very quick charge and holds battery life for a long time even with GPS always enabled. I love the live tracking feature since I run in town a lot and my husband knows exactly when I start and stop my run and where I am. My only complaint is that setup needs to be a little more user friendly. Trying to figure out how to setup everything while having to use two different apps is a little complicated.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from MANY GREAT FEATURES, BUT SOME MISSING I've had my Venu 2S for about a month now and I really like it but I wish the data displayed could be modified more than what is allowed. It would also be nice if you could make modifications to your watch face etc on the app instead of just on the watch itself as it isn't always easy to do on the small watch face. I like that the watch will auto recognize activities such as walking, but wish it would auto-recognize biking as well. Finally, I wish there were more band options than just the silicone band which I don't find that comfortable. I have found some 3rd party bands, but they can be hit or miss from a quality standpoint. Would much prefer there were other types of bands (fabric, leather, metal) made by Garmin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from fantastic upgrade Great watch with all the features I need and few I didn't know I needed. The sleep tracking is a little inaccurate and could use some work but otherwise top notch! Battery life is as expected, love the variety of available watch faces. The customization options can get overwhelming so my suggestion would be to take it slow!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mmmmmm Firstly, as a fitness watch it sure does tell you many stats! Which is great and love how you can manually chooses different gps signals. However, coming from an Apple Watch. There is a massive difference! Where I was getting a gps signal inside buildings on my Apple Watch (not connected to iPhone ) I’ve appeared to have lost this on my garmin. Tried the the different gps signals but no luck :(. This is very annoying that the antenna appears to be weaker than my Apple Watch for same scenarios. Outside no problems. Additionally, using garmin for the first time, and having no idea about the software or anything well truthfully the software sucks ! It’s not straightforward to use. It does takes some times playing around. And missing some key apps like reminders which could be Sync with your phone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great sensors poor design I previously had a whoop strap and a fit but, both had sensors that were a hot dumpster fire. The whoop app though and how it gamified getting good sleep and working out was amazing though. The physical design response as to how to create a strap that doesn't hurt and is made for a good fit for everyone without being too tight or loose...fantastic. whoop sadly though seemed to be a team of all designers and no engineers. So I did my googles and bought a garmin venu2s, supposedly the size for women/smaller wrists. The good: - I like having a screen i can quickly see hr on - accuracy is almost as comparable as my Dr's medical devices (cardio stress test and eeg) - I didn't think I'd like it or care but I do like the smartwatch/more phone like features like being able to quickly see texts or discord messages, calls, or app alerts, and dismiss, or mute that entire app. It has me looking at my phone less. Also like the ability to set timers routinely. The bad: Keep in mind I'm a designer, it's my entire profession to notice these things...so I'm disappointed I noticed too little too late. Most might not notice these things.. - activity watches need to stop just copy and pasting apples watch design or traditional watch designs as if that works with silicone. The grime and dermatitis happens fast when they're meant to be worn 24h, are tight fitting silicone, and..you have a traditional watch notch system with an extra ring digging into your skin? The physical design given how close the sensors need to be pressed on your skin to be accurate is abysmal. - the watch interface ui as well as the app is like baby's first UI project: cluttered, ugly, a bunch of disjointed widgets, truly a nightmare. Please garmin dear God, hire an actual design team! - it doesn't work well for sleep or oxygen sensing as a lefty (ie watch on right hand). Seems like a huge design oversight. - there are challenges in app that are the bare minimum for any activity tracker...you'll sometimes get an alert you reached one. But good luck ever finding it again. Yeah so overall it's not bad, it does what it's supposed to do. However if the whoop 4 hadn't JUST come out around this black Friday purchase (after the 3s sensors were so finnicky I'd rather wait to see hoe things go in user reviews) I probably would return the garmin watch and just suck up my hatred of subscription models and get the whoop 4. Garmin please hire some actual professional designers and not underpaid high school students, or engineers who think that a design team is unimportant. It shows.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy so far Purchased to track activities like hiking, biking and daily steps. Had some difficulties with initial set up and syncing to my iphone. My husband purchased a Garmin forerunner 975 and had no troubles with set up and linking to his android phone. It took me a lot of tries turning programs and my phone and watch on and off and some help from a Garmin Customer Service Rep and using my desktop to complete setup. But now everything seems to be working well. I like the touch screen and its operation is pretty intuitive. I did read through their online manual to get the most out the watch. I've been tracking outdoor distances with Strava and the Garmin watch and Garmin typically records distances about 10% shorted than Strava so I haven't figured that out yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Almost a perfect watch I am so happy that I upgraded from my old watch (different brand) to a Garmin watch. The only thing I would like to give it that last star is some more customization. My old watch allowed a full range of emojis for text responses. You could also create your own custom quick responses on the phone to sync. This watch is only able to send a pre-created list of responses such as "yes" "no" and a few others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid and smart! Finally a little hour in which you can sleep without disturbing. All that is small, the battery is not bad. Nice watch. Lots of settings. There would be more sports activities in it. The name of the yoga activities could also be chosen in Indian language. Or show it in two languages at once. If there was just a simple beep in the settings it would be even better. Overall good!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the flexibility of tracking! I purchased to replace my Whoop. I was looking to add more tracking features than the Whoop offered. I chose the Venu 2S which is small enough that it doesn’t get in the way while adjusting patients. The only downside for me is that I have really big wrists, so the smaller band just barely fits. Love all the customization!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Good Purchase The adjustment from an Apple Watch to this was tough at first. There are some features that the Apple Watch has that I miss, such as being able to personalize the watch face with what YOU want to see (battery life, calories, workouts, etc.). The Garmin does not give you options to change what apps/features you want to see. You have to find a face that is as close to what you want to see and roll with it. The Apple Watch is also more app-friendly. With the Garmin, you have to download 2 different Garmin apps to your phone AND have an online account in order to download any apps (music included). Way too much trouble, so I don’t even bother. I do enjoy the fact that I can track my sleep and the fitness functions are much better on the Garmin. Everyone I asked prior to purchasing said their Garmin battery lasted anywhere from 10-14 days, so I’m a little disappointed that mine only lasts about 6. However, it takes about an hour to an hour and a half to charge, so that’s a plus! And quite honestly, 6 days is much better than sometimes not even making it 24 hours with the Apple Watch. Overall, I am very satisfied with the Garmin as a fitness/health tracker, which is essentially why I bought it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features and super pretty! I've had Garmin watches for over 20 years and always the ones with the most features and longest battery life. Never cared that they were large for my small wrist. But now I have all that wrapped on a beautiful watch that's also slightly smaller. Love this watch!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I really wanted to love it. The Always On feature wouldn’t work. The face would never come on unless I used the crown. I reset the watch to factory settings & then tried to re-install & the watch never worked again. Returned within a week. Very disappointed to have to buy another Apple Watch instead.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features I’ve had my Venu 2s about 3 weeks now and have zero complaints. Way better than my Apple Watch. Keeps up with my fitness and GPS is more accurate on my runs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks different than online, poor handling The watch looks cheap, the gray plastic is a lot more pronounced in reality than it is shown in the pictures online. The watch is also very thick. The handling is not well done, especially compared to other watch makers. Because I got a blue wrist band, it’s custom made and cannot be returned. So now I’m stuck with a watch that I don’t like.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Switch from Apple Watch I received my watch almost a week ago and have used it, so far, for my swim/bike/runs as well as sleep tracking. I've also downloaded my Spotify and iTunes playlists. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the battery life compared to the Apple Watch and this is probably one of the biggest reasons for the switch. I also love the sleek, elegant look of the watch. As far as functions go, I think the watch gives fantastic GPS tracking for the run and bike. I love the data that I get on the watch (like VO2Max!) AND the Garmin connect app! I also LOVE that I don't need to take my phone to get accurate distances OR to listen to music while running!!!!!!!!! AWESOME FEATURES!!! For the swimming, the Apple Watch wins in this category by providing a little better heart rate tracking, more accurate lap counting AND identifying which stroke you are using (seriously a neat feature) while also providing open water swim feature (which I've also used). Setting up the watch using Garmin connect was very easy, downloading Spotify & itunes playlists took some trial and error but I got them. Overall, I'm very happy with my switch!!! The only thing I'll be using the Apple Watch for now is swimming. Also, I chose the Venu 2S instead of the 2 plus for two reasons. I won't take calls while working out, but I'm still able to send and receive texts with the Garmin connect app feature. Also, the 2S is 40mm vs 43mm and while it doesn't seem like a lot... I'm a 5'4" female at 135 lbs. The 40mm is what I'm used to with the Apple Watch and I was worried the 43mm would look like overkill on my wrist.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Venu 2s is amazing watch! Have used Fitbit watches the past 10+ years, most recently the Sense 2, which I returned. Because the new owner of Fitbit, Google, is stripping features from their premium devices, I felt it was time to switch to Garmin. Am getting used to the Venu 2s, and find it to be an amazing watch. Well done, Garmin!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great upgrade I bought this a few weeks ago as an upgrade from my Vivosmart HR+ (circa 2015). I've been enjoying it so far! The features, workouts, GPS and advanced sleep tracking are all major improvements. The nighttime breathwork activity has changed my sleeping patterns entirely for the better. As for the watch itself- I like that it has a sleek, stylish look while not compromising the more advanced features.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Venu 2s I regret it the moment I received it. The GUI is stupid. Even a MI’s the cheapest one is far more easier than this. The touching screen is so inaccurate and miss spot. And I should find a lot of YouTube videos in order to learn this bad design

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I’ll keep it since I purchased it but… I’ve owned this watch just under a month or so and, if you’re looking at outward appearances alone, it knocks it out of the water! I have a small wrist so I got the smaller version of this watch and it fits my wrist perfectly. I have the power of a smartwatch without the awful look of an Apple Watch. Compared to the Apple Watch, I’m more than happy I switched and have left my Apple Watch sitting in my nightstand. The features that this watch offers in comparison to that are far and beyond better. Unfortunately, I think it falls FAR short of the accuracy and plethora of information that my whoop provided me. If I was wanting to purchase a watch that had it all (looks and function for an athletic person) this would not be it but it comes closer than the Apple Watch did so there is that. Overall, I think the price tag on this watch exceeds the benefits in my book. I’ll keep it since I’ve purchased it but if I was asked to do it all over again, I’d choose something else. While on that subject, the ungodly amount of options that Garmin gives you for watches is incredibly overwhelming and makes it very difficult to narrow down which one fits your needs the best.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Venue 2S great addition to a busy day. The Venue 2S has a more sensitive ability to pick up activity. I recently discovered a way to more effectively measure the Pulse OX and that was a welcome discovery. First relax, next put your form arm to rest on the tabletop (example of a surface). Make certain that the watch is not pressing on bone but rather on the fleshy portion of the wrist. Gently press the watch to the fleshy portion of the wrist while you relax. Since the basic Pulse OX is not as sensitive as a medical oximeter, the above technique will help allow the device to provide a more realistic reading. The Venu2S is much more sensitive when it comes to picking up the intensity in Exercise. My original Venu is less sensitive to intensity levels on the elliptical. It is a welcome addition to have the Venue2S. However, I still will continue to use both from time to time. Selecting forms of exercise is much easier on the Venue2S. And then getting a good review of that exercise on the Venue2S is also easier on the newer upgrade Venue2S model. Garmin is doing a great job of creating a quality watch, that is eye catching. It is a watch that can be worn for sports or the symphony. I will look forward to the time when the battery has a much long period before changing is needed when using the GPS features with regularity. However, if you are using your Venue2S primarily as a watch you will be extremely pleased with the batteries lasting effectiveness. And when it is time to recharge the watch again you will be pleased with the quickness of the charging while you are attending to other things. Since the watched pot does not seem to boil as quickly as the pot allowed to boil while you are doing other things nearby, Go ahead and enjoy your life and know you will be putting your Venu2S shortly back on your wrist again soon. I am certain I will continue to choose Garmin as my go to exercise watch provider. They create a wonderful exercise watch that is a delight to wear.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It’s nice, but not $400 nice I debated which Garmin watch to buy for months and finally landed on the Venu2s. I want to love it, but… I don’t. I like the idea of the features, but it simply doesn’t seem accurate. I have 1 set of stairs in my house and I climb them at least 10 times per day- my kids room is on our 2nd level. Some days it says I only climbed 2 flights. Same goes for steps, stress readings, etc. I’ve adjusted the fit and sensor and nothing seems To change the accuracy. Honestly, the only upside so far is the battery. display is nice, work our features are nice, but I kind of miss my Apple Watch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Piece of junk!! I bought the Garmin Venu 2S a little over a month ago. The first month took a bit to get used to how it worked and all the features to show up properly. I questioned a lot of the readings, but continued to monitor it. About two weeks ago it started malfunctioning in many ways. I went to check my steps and the screen was completely black. Tapped it a bunch of times and nothing. Pushed the buttons a bunch and even held them down and nothing. I went online and saw instructions to hold down the top button for 30 sec. I tried that and it came back on. Then while driving, my steps and stair climber increased dramatically. Like you have reached your 10 floor goal award flashing every 3 mins or so. I called customer support yesterday to return the item and the gentleman offered nothing but advice on how to fix the issues at hand. The product only has a 30 day return policy. These issues only came up around day 40. I was told I cannot return it and now I’m stuck with a very very expensive malfunctioning piece of plastic. Do not buy!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from OK features and constant disconnects from phone I have now had the Venu 2S for over 9 months, but clicked on the "registration" email link to review, because this is at least the 4th time I have had to reinitialize connection with the App/my phone even though it connected an hour earlier to download a workout. Everything comes back up, but it is strange that I have to go through all the steps to reconnect the watch when it still has my wifi and phone saved. It is just the Garmin app "deletes" my watch? Otherwise the watch is good. I had Fitbits for at least 6 years prior and the battery life and support after being bought by Google was enough for me to leave. BUT, the UI in the App was so much cleaner. The sleep function was actually useable. I cannot rely on the garmin to track sleep because it only tracks within the time I set. It does not auto detect workouts and when I start a workout a minute or two late, it doesn't back-track to where I started. And, I cannot find a way to do that in the app. Overall, the battery lift is HUGE, but I really did use my fitbit for tracking sleep as an overall wellness but the garmin just isnt there yet. I originally got the venu plus for the connectivity, but it would override my car bluetooth from my phone, to the watch, so that everything connected to my phone had to go through my watch. I called and this was just the setup, no options. so i traded in rather quickly. Overall, I like the workout recordings, but as an overall workout and wellness app/watch, there is still a lot left to improve.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Upgrade I upgraded from the Vivoactive 3 and love the Venu 2S. The size is perfect for my small wrist. I love that there are so many improved health stats. I'm 58 and love being able to have stats available to print. It has been fairly easy to maneuver. I would recommend this watch to my running friends.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PERFECT Got this after having a fitbit for 6 years... I should not have waited this long to make the switch. Crisp clear, fast setup, easy link to my Garmin account, tracks amazing, tons of data, great built in workouts. App is so user friendly. Google screwed up Fitbit.... and now i am glad they did!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm 50/50 I got this about a month ago. I love the features the only issue I have is it doesn't count steps correctly. It will give ea ton of steps while exercising and then anywhere from 2,000-3,000 for the rest of the day. Whereas my Fitbit gives the same number that I count and way less during exercise and thousands more during the day. After all the amazing reviews I have read about Garmin I think it's the watch I received that is faulty and not Garmin itself. My problem is I'm stuck with an expensive faulty watch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It’s nice I am coming from a FitBit and I’m struggling with the changes from device to device. I’ve been wearing the Garmin for a month and I’ve got a few issues. The sleep tracking seems way off as well as the daily calorie burn. I should be gaining weight based on that. Also there’s no way to clear all notifications at once and it’s a pain doing it one at a time. I like everything else, but it’s looking like I’m not going to keep it based on those things I mentioned. I’m trying to move past these. The daily calorie burn is the biggest issue for me. It just hurts to look at it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very satisfied I received it as a christmas presand put it in service the next day. I'm surprised with all the features although some of them are a little hard for me to use. I'm sure it will all come with due time. The straps need to be just a little longer. I don't have big hands and large wrist. But I am on the next to the last. Hole in the strap.. I have not worn a watch regularly ignore but in many yeand this will take time to get used to.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable I got this for Christmas about two months ago. I have been so impressed with battery life, I literally only take it off to shower and that's when I charge it. As a result I have only had to leave it plugged in beyond showering a couple times. I've also been surprised how much i enjoy the daily weekly and monthly goals/challenges. I really only wanted the gps tracking for runs and biking and tracking caloric burns, which the Venu 2S does great, but the added features of the Garmin Connect and the ability to add workout routines and even create your own is awesome. My wife also got the same watch at the same time I did and we enjoy comparing each others Body Battery and Sleep Score!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Venu2s I bought this watch used from a friend of mine. She gave me a great deal. I wanted to get back into running and keeping up with my data for many reasons. A lot to do with my health. I have to say I’m very impressed with Garmin and the app. Venu2s is a great watch and running partner for someone getting back at it. I had been a de hard Fitbit for fitness and Apple Watch just bc I had an Apple phone. I definitely believe hands down my garmin is the most accurate of all 3. I wore my Fitbit and garmin the same day for my benchmark run the data from the garmin was very accurate to the feet traveled. My Fitbit was off about 2500 steps which is significantly different. Elevation documentation was also off My Apple Watch never had accurate data and it was very annoying All data is uploaded to my work app and we get a discount on our insurance if we collect enough points. I never came close with my Apple Watch. I’ve received more points from the data from my garmin Over all I’m very impressed. The only thing I wish venu2s had was interval running timer so you could set walk run

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible battery issues I got a Venu 2S in January 2022. It was great for a few months until one fatal update that hosed the battery. It suddenly started discharging to zero, 12 hours after a 100% recharge. I called support and they told me to do a complete system reset. That seemed to work, but I had to keep doing that (and then putting back in my settings) after every single update. By November 2023, even that hack wasn’t working anymore and my watch was dying frequently without warning. I also started having issues with Live View. I called support again, and since the watch was now out of warranty, the best they could do was an out of warranty replacement. In retrospect I find this disingenuous because I initially reported the problems well before the warranty period had elapsed. Having no better option, I paid my $150 for a refurbished watch, and when it arrived, it worked fine. Battery lasted for days. This weekend there must have been a bad update again because the battery dropped to 20% only 20 hours after a full charge. Yesterday I charged it back up to 100%, and now 12 hours later it was down to 1%. I managed to charge it back up to 18%, and tried the factory reset. Now it refuses to re-pair with my phone, and even worse, it refuses to recharge. Avoid this watch model, at all costs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Venu 2S Having been a previous fitbit charge 2 and 4 user for the last 5 years, my comparison's are based on that. The Venu 2S has a 5 star display, with a manageable interface, takes a little getting used to. A priority for my smartwatch is to have a Altimeter, which this does, only records about 1/15 the floors compared to the fitbit stat's Used to average 50 floors a day, walk the hill's in neighborhood park. With the garmin I'm lucky to get 5 floor's in a day. For the heart rate stat's, haven't been to the Doctor since getting this garmin, but my fitbit would either be right on with MD's heart rate or maybe 1 bpm off. The music, gpay, what ever else this has that I don't really need can't comment on since I haven't used. . This unit sync's really fast compared to previous smartwatch's. Without reliable floor count's pretty much ignore the Garmin stat's on floor's. Will probably suffer w/o the floor count till I decide to buy something other than Garmin.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love, love, love it! This noob was a bit worried that she would cop sighs and eye-rolls from twenty-something sons if she had to ask for help understanding her first ever smartwatch. It was a piece of cake! I researched what I wanted before the purchase (an extension of my phone, good looking enough to wear as a dress watch, tough, able to see screen well in bright daylight, didn't really care about the fitness stuff). It is fantastic, I wish I hadn't waited so long to buy one. The AMOLED display is superb, notifications are easy to read and respond to, there's a good range of clock faces to choose from, it's comfortable to wear. It gets a bit rude when it tells me to get moving just as I get comfortable on the couch haha

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Almost perfect The style is gorgeous and almost all of the features work perfectly except for the barometer for stairs. For some reason this feature cannot seem to keep track of stairs correctly no matter what. It may be due to the area I am in (on the beach), due to the climate? Not sure, but no matter what, it just will not work.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Horrible Altimeter I love this watch in every way except two: The font is TINY!!! and you can't change the size. For stair climbing it hardly works. I read in a forum that if you put it on your ankle it works fine. I tried it and it does. So you have to do weird things with your arms if you want it to count a flight of stairs. And then you have to take a break between flights in order for it count that flight. A piece of junk for this purpose. And don't count on it for pulse ox either. It is WAY off from normal purse oximeters. And sometimes it doesn't update the VO2. I haven't figured out why. I did call Garmin about the altimeter problem and they told me to return it and get a new one. I did but it has exactly the same problems. Other than those few things, it does everything I want. It is pretty enough.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great size and comfort fit for a busy lifestyle Let me start by saying, I already had the Venu and too if great. I still find it a watch valued and worth keeping. Which I also find fabulous. Use both watches when I need to make a change from one watch to other for some reason. They both charge with the same charging connection technology which is a real plus for me at this juncture. I purchased the Venu 2s hoping for a longer battery life when using the cardio and elliptical and walk tracking features. The battery life is better with the new Venu 2s not as much as I had hoped but I am quite pleased all the same. I have found the oxygen reading feature is roughly equivalent in both watches which is not nearly as sensitive as a device that is used at the doctors office. The Venu 2s has a better feedback field on sleep quality. That is very good feedback to have. And the feature includes recommendations for improving sleep quality. I like the fact that it does such a great job of tracking the number of floors I climb whether it is steps or climbing a slope. Since slope climbing is so good for bone health to get that feedback is a great reward system. It tracks both up and down as did the original Venu but it much easier to utilize the review on the Venu 2s watch itself. The Venue 2s seems to be able to track a bit better. I love the ability to change the watch face when I utilize the computer based system. Tap the crystal and the chosen watch face displays. Gently shake the wrist and the watch face displays. Having the ability to change watch face appearance on the device can make the outfit worn and the watch worn pair well. I am quite pleased and feel very confident I have a great quality in the watch. Solid design and beautiful as well. I get a lot of compliments. Some folks show me their fitness tracking watch which is made very differently, and folks often are almost embarrassed when they see my watch quality design features compared to their watch design. And additional great point regarding the Venu series, it is fabulous to have a watch that I can glance to read and incoming text message, without having to look at my phone. Great stealth feature for when in a meeting. And with the Venu series I benefit from not having to have an additional phone line, my phone talks to my watch just the way I want it to. I know when info is coming in and I Definity can decide when I want to pick up my phone without looking at something other than my Garmin watch. What a delight, let's just increase the battery life when using the GPS type functionality features would be even more of an advantage in my world view. The Venu 2s is fantastic technology. . . I would highly recommend it for someone who wants to wear a very stylish watch that really is capable of tracking many types of activities. Including a great job of tracking Cardio with great feedback, walking, hiking, elliptical with great feedback. bike riding absolutely great to be able to see the path traveled when reviewing the feedback provided. And to give a shout out for the Venu 2s having yet another great benefit it does an exceptional job of tracking breathing patterns...This feature is very helpful in multiple ways. At the end of a day when reviewing the feedback it makes it very easy to be able to relate an event that happened during the day and watch having such an exceptional sensitivity to pick up certain things happening. It makes it possible for the watch wearer to make positive choices on ways to breath and other reactions to triggers that happen during a day. If a person did not have a watch that was sensitive enough to pick up such nuances it would be more challenging to develop an action plan to events that occur in life. The Garmin Watch has technology feedback features available to folks that can influence how folks decide to deal with their days and it is great to conquer new days each and every time the gift of new day is provided. I feel the Garmin Watch Venu 2s was a worthwhile investment in myself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the look I have had this watch for a few weeks. I am converting from an Apple Watch to Garmin. I love the look of this watch but I really wish it was comparable to the Apple in a couple ways. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for my needs! I bought this a little over a months ago after having tried the Vivoactive 5s and Fenix 5s. I am mostly concerned with accurate heart rate, GPS/running and swim tracking. I was hesitant as I've read that the screen is hard to see outside. Not true for me! I can see my [accurate] swim yardage in direct sunlight. The watch is stunning compared to my Fitbit Ionic, and the screen is beautiful. I've been getting back into running and this watch helps tremendously with all the stats I need on one screen. I've found that I can rely on swim tracking (except kicking which I expected). I am so in love with this watch!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the features but not user friendly The features are great and I absolutely love the look, however I do not find the watch very intuitive to use or as customizable as I would like. I do love the GPS and music features. But I was not a fan of the watch face options or how you needed to download another whole app to view additional watch face options. It also took a long time to figure out how to connect to Spotify....it eventually worked and was great, but I wasted way too much time trying to figure it out (again, not intuitive). I also like the goal of 250 steps per hour, but that is not an option on Garmin. Overall good watch, but I was expecting better usability for the amount it costs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Spectacular Device ?????????? So for the past 45 years, I have never worn a watch. A year ago, I purchased a Vivosmart 4 after much research to dip my toe into activity tracking. I specifically do not want notifications (why be distracted!). That device was excellent. Then I wanted to upgrade to a better display and GPS. Because I have tiny wrists, I wanted to be sure that my upgrade was something I can wear 24x7. WOW! The Venu2S Has proven to be ideal in every aspect!! It certainly packs a punch with functionality, battery life, display beauty and more. I look forward to learning more as time marches on. One item to note is that the Venu2s makes excellent use of the Connect app. Much more so than the Vivosmart4. All of this is good but it does mean the more I explore, the more I get to enjoy!! I see this as a long-term solution for sure!! Thanks Garmin!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great smart watch I got really tired of charging my previous watch every day and even then having the battery run down during an activity. The Venu 2S with a battery that lasts about 10 days even with several walks/hikes/workouts plus having music downloaded is the perfect solution. I also use the golf function about twice a week and it works perfectly. I would like to be able to customize the watch face more but it acceptable as is. Overall, I'm very pleased with my purchase of the Venu 2S

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stopped working 3 times within 2 weeks. I was so excited to get this watch. After doing extensive research and finally deciding on this one. I was a bit hesitant bc its quite expensive but thought it would be worth it. Less then a week of having it I woke up to find the watch completely off and would not turn on. It had over half % of battery so I was confused. It ended up turning back on but then happened another two times before I took it back to JB. So frustrating as this is a rather pricey watch and it felt a bit cheap. Anyway, I took it back and thankfully got a brand new one. Hopefully I don't have the same problem or I will be returning it and getting an Apple Watch!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from so far so good! I've had this guy for nearly a month now and it's exactly what I'd been searching for. Generally speaking I've found this to be fairly accurate as far as HR goes, even with activity - other reviews mentioned this might be an issue but it's been reliable for me. Primary uses so far are for a kettlebell gym that does varied cardio activities, and for mountain biking. Using the watch for mountain biking is great, GPS is nice for reflecting on the ride afterwards and it shows elevation gain as well as speed & HR. I've found the distance and speed to be reliable as well when compared with other apps. My previous watch was a little smaller and I was a bit nervous about the face size, but this was easy enough to adapt to and the watch face doesn't feel overwhelmingly large or bulky, despite being slightly larger. I do struggle with getting this guy to hook up to wifi and/or show me the weather, but when that does pull through it's nice. Calendar shows too, so it does have some "smart watch" capabilities in that way but is very basic. I do not have notifications on my watch that show texts or calls, but that is by my choice. Battery life isn't terrible - just over a week with one GPS activity and a few workouts. Initially I had purchased this watch on amazon and the battery for that was really poor, only lasted a few days and would die suddenly overnight at 50% battery. The one purchased through Garmin is 100% better. Find my phone feature is a little weird, gives you kind of a radar for how close you are, but it is effective. Sleep monitoring doesn't feel too far off from what my actual sleep patterns are, and while I was initially kind of skeptical of the "body battery" I find it somewhat helpful to reflect on throughout the day. Not always reliable, but useful. The only thing that bothers me (and you can turn this feature off) is when it buzzes to remind me to move. Sometimes I'd just been moving! There doesn't always seem to be rhyme or reason. But I leave it on as a reminder to not be too sedentary, and I suppose in that way it's helpful. TLDR, it's a good watch. It's great for basic stats for me, a new-to-exercising-regularly nerd who likes statistics. It has just enough features without feeling annoying or excessive, and it's not so big that it's scary looking on my arm.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The screen is amazing! Just got this earlier this week. Took it on my first hike and it did a phenomenal job. Tracked well. Easy to read the screen in the woods. It picked up GPS very quickly (about 15 seconds) Once you get used to the interface on the watch and the app on my phone, it starts to get easier to use. I'm glad I got the Venu 2s. It fits on my wrist well without being too large and it's very easy to see in broad daylight. It is a serious piece of hardware for someone who wants to track a lot of data about their health and exercises I'm planning on using it for my hiking, walking, biking, kayaking, and of course as a very stylish watch with a round face that looks very natural.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from still getting to know the Venu 2S I have had the watch for about 3 weeks and I'm still trying to learn a lot of what it actually does. I'm a big Garmin fan and have owned quite a few different products. Documentation is their weak link... But support is usually great. These watches are capable of a lot and there's not a lot of easily accessible learning tools... Even the support person I called said he's still learning the features of his Venu. That said I bought the watch to replace (and enhance) my simple Garmin golf watch (S10) which worked great. So far, I've played about 6 rounds and the watch performs pretty well. Distances conflict with the cart gps and sometimes change by 5-10 yards when the screen refreshes. Not clear on distances to hazards yet. Scorekeeping function is nice. I have also used it too track skiing and that's been interesting. Battery life is pretty good, not great. I changed the screen "on" to medium and it cut the battery life a little. I can get just over 2 rounds of golf and 3 days on one full charge. Fitness functions are fun and informative... Still learning them as well. probably need a few more months of learning... In order to fully understand what it is capable of.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It was okay. I got this at Christmas and ultimately returned for an Apple Watch. The sensors were not accurate for heart rate which was one of the things I was wanting to track during workouts. The cool thing was the battery life. It’s lasted more than a week without needing a charge but other than that it was mediocre at best.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of features weak battery I have had my watch about 3 weeks now. The features are great I love the huge amount of data. However, I bought the venu2, which was the more expensive watch I was looking at for the 11 day battery life. I am extremely disappointed that the battery only lasts 5-6 days. Now that I know the battery life is not as advertised. I would have bought the less expensive watch with the exact same features. Buyer beware the battery life is not 11 days

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great fitness tracking but not easy to use I have used Fitbit for many years and enjoyed it until it started becoming more unreliable. I switched to Garmin recently after my partner praised Garmin after many years of use and even upgraded his recently--still loving it. I found it more difficult to use--not intuitive--and it also does not pair well with an iPhone. For instance, I use Apple Music, but Garmin does not support that. Fitbit was able to support that. I feel like the buttons are not intuitive to use and when I looked as to how to reprogram my quick access after the music did not work, and I couldn't find any information on how to reprogram it after searching far and wide. I'm not sure I will be continuing to use it if I can't get used to it in the next 2 weeks.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No regrets I was torn between this and the solar instinct (definitely not apples to apples). I wanted a watch with long battery life, ability to track activities, and ability to view texts. I was tempted by the instinct solar with it's crazy battery life but the drawback was the lack of color screen. The venu 2s has a shorter battery life but it's still really long for a smartwatch (up to 11 days). I've only had it a few days but so far I've used it to track walks and a kayaking trip. I never knew how far I would go when on the water but everything is spelled out nicely on the app, right down to the number of strokes I made. I'm glad I made this purchase and it fits my lifestyle right now. The instinct solar is a more masculine watch whereas the venu can go either way. I'm planning on hiking the Appalachian Trail in a few years and I'll buy the instinct solar for when I do that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Envu 2s Took 2 weeks to figure out the weather was in Celsius. Overall it's ok, not sure of the price for just a fitness tracker. The sq for $119 seems like it would of been just fine. Still need to try an add apps from the laptop. Maybe a hike tracking app if their is one or something will make the price worth it over my fitbit. Be nice if could use as phone for $200

Rated 5 out of 5 by from USE A SCREEN PROTECTOR! My husband just bought this for me a few weeks ago. I've had 2 forerunners prior to this and have loved them. I love the bright screen on this! I haven't yet figured out, nor had the chance to explore all the features and fully set it up, but what I have used it for it has been accurate and informative! My only complaint is that I had it on for 3 days before the screen protector came and there was already a small surface scratch on the crystal. I was not hard on the watch or anything. It just happened with regular use. I will not ever go without a screen protector on it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great addition to my life! I have been using this watch for a couple of years now. It has been extremely helpful in making me more aware of my movement, breathing and HR throughout the day. For example, I had no idea that I had a tendency to subconsciously hold my breath! My watch will alert me then my HR is abnormally high, at which point I am forced to stop and bring my awareness to what is happening with my breathing and my stress levels at that moment. I love that it is waterproof - which is an absolute must for life with kids. Added bonus - it is also very aesthetically pleasing - I get a ton of compliments on it :). (I got it in White with Gold).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Feeling unsure I bought about a month ago after my Fitbit died unexpectedly and predictably. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great smart watch! I read so many reviews for this watch. I was looking for more battery life and this exceeded my expectations. I've had this watch for almost a month now, still figuring out the workout activities, i.e. HIIT, strength, for reps & such, it's a learning curve. This watch gave me 4 days of battery life compared to my other watch where I had to charge it everyday. I believe this watch is more accurate for sleep, steps, & stress levels. I wish it came with different colored bands, i.e. purple.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just What I Was Looking For! I purchased this about a week ago and have been very impressed. I looked at the Fenix 6s line as well as the Venu 2S and this was all I needed without a lot of extras I wouldn't use and didn't need. I find it to be the perfect size for my wrist and probably one of the most "feminine" fitness-oriented smartwatches out there. In doing research I read a lot of negative reviews about the response to touch or wrist movement being slow, but I have found the exact opposite to be true. This thing is incredibly responsive and really accurate! It has allowed me to get greater insight in a simple to understand format.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome, but for one thing… I am totally jazzed by the capabilities and find the Garmin Connect ecosystem versus the FitBit one a huge upgrade. Why did I wait so long? Only drawback is that sometime the Venu2S locks and registers no data. Has not flaked in the middle of a workout yet. Resets easily but am a little concerned that the forums reflect that Garmin is aware of the problem & there hasn’t been a fix yet…

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Advanced Features without extra cost! I got my Garmin watch about a month ago. Previous to that I had a different fitness watch that over the last 5 years I would have to replace about every 12 to 16 months. The Garmin watch feels superior to the other fitness tracker that I had not just in design but also the application Garmin connect has advanced features that I would have to pay extra for with the other fitness tracker. I added a screen protector from Amazon since I am clumsy. The sleek design of the watch even with the screen protector does not make the watch overly bulky. The step count and the heart rate monitor with this watch is more accurate than my previous fitness watch. One of the surprise features that you get with this watch where you would have to pay for it with a different fitness tracker is the stress monitoring.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Fitness Watch I've Ever Owned So Far! For years I have been using Fitbit, but lately it has been a nightmare. Not always syncing, never changing time zones, not communicating with the app, and other issues. I reached the point where I just didn't want to use a watch that wasn't being useful anymore. I received my new Venu 2S watch as a birthday present over 2 weeks ago. I am in love with this watch. It works 100% without any issues. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Meh I had a Vivomove Luxe that malfunctioned and had to be replaced (twice) and since it’s no longer available I ended up with this watch. The face got a huge scratch on it in the first week (I work remotely and do some yard work, not anything wild) so I’m not optimistic about the quality of this item. This watch has features like music controls that I was excited about, but has so far proven to be clunky and unreliable. For the price, my experience with the Garmin products has been incredibly disappointing and frustrating. The customer service has been great, but I wish I had stuck with my Apple Watch that worked flawlessly for years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I was looking for! This watch is my second Garmin, but my first Venue. Love all the upgrades to the display but what I love most is the accuracy of the HR sensor. I have it set up for giving me abnormal HR alerts and I as work a very stressful job it has alerted me pretty consistently helping me manage stress, situations and certain people :) I also love the “sleep quality” score. Body battery is a good indicator of how I slept but the sleep score is just perfection. I’ve been working on increasing sleep/recovery time since the summer if 2021 and this watch helps me do that.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good features but watch was faulty I was really excited to get the venu 2S, I purchased due to increase in the amount of tracking it does in comparison with the Fitbit I had. Unfortunately within two days the screen went blank and whilst the watch was on, I couldn’t access anything on the watch due to the blank screen. When I tried to reset the watch it then wouldn’t pair with my phone. Despite engaging in multiple troubleshooting activities it still wouldn’t work. I’ve taken it back and exchanged so hoping this new watch doesn’t have the same fault.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it, but... Only had the Venu 2S a couple weeks and I am still learning how to use it. Overall very happy with the look, function and feel. However, one of the main reasons I chose this device was the sleep tracking and analysis capability. So far, it has not lived up to my needs. An exchange with Garmin chat support confirmed my suspicions that my medical device controlled flat lower heart rate prevents the device from initiating sleep mode. After providing input to Garmin's tech site, I received a program update. It actually worked a couple nights after that, but did not last night. So time will tell if it works more consistently. All is not lost since I can enter sleep times manually and see the data it is collecting while I sleep. But there is no analysis for manually entered times. Oh, one thing--the band that comes with it is terrible!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So Disappointed I was very excited to get my new Garmin Venu 2S but ended up very disappointed. I only had my watch for to days before I had to send it back because there was a problem with the battery. The only good thing to happen was that Garmin customer service is really good. I did not have any problems sending my venu back and receiving a replacement watch. Unfortunately I had more problems with the replacement. First problem happens on the second day I had watch, it froze up and took me an hour to realize it was not working. After 20 minutes of trying to reset the watch it started working again. On the next day I went to look at the screen and it was completely blank. My venu was not responding or even on. It took about on hour of trying to turn it on/off before it started to work again. After that I did not trust the watch to keep working. I returned the venu for my money back and went back to my Fitbit. I’m really disappointed because I liked all the features on the Garmin watch and app. I just felt that I could not trust it to keep working without any problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible product I have had this watch for a week and it already went out. I used fitbits in the past but went to Garmin because I have heard they are the best but so far I am not impressed. I have had nothing but issues trying to get this watch set up, many of the advertised features do not work, and now it does in the middle of my run.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Functions stopped working Got this over the summer. Stopped recording steps. I googled the fix and was able to restore step recording. Then a couple of months later stopped recording heartbeat. Tried to reboot but didn’t help. Then randomly it started recording heartbeat again. But now while it finally records steps and heart, which are basically the most important features to me—it doesn’t record my history. So come 12 am, the data is gone. Then it randomly gives me a woo hoo for reaching my goals which don’t correlate to the steps I have in there. Sometimes I can see the watch face, sometimes not. I feel it’s pretty much useless, and my iPhone is more reliable. Very disappointed—had a garmin watch previously. Thought this was an upgrade.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great run watch!! Love the Garmin Venu 2S! Because of the touchscreen and AMOLED screen, I feel it’s best of both worlds of Apple and Garmin. Granted it doesn’t do phone calls or answer text messages like the Apple Watch and doesn’t do the Recovery time of a Garmin Forerunner, it notifies me I have a phone call and I can assess my own recovery with the Body Battery. Love the small size and very light! I had the Nike Apple Watch series 4 but the battery wouldn’t last a full marathon with the GPS. Then I got the Garmin Forerunner 645 which tracked a full marathon and had 61% left. Loved the Garmin pay and the training metrics. The 645 screen then was pretty visible in direct sunlight. But here comes the Garmin Venu 2S. The Garmin 645 was lighter than the Apple Watch but the Venu 2S is even lighter than the Garmin 645. It took a while for me to get all notifications working. But now I receive all text messages, social media stuff, etc and it’s easy to turn it to “do not disturb” if needed. The Venu 2S screen is pretty sharp in direct sunlight. The body battery feature seems to be on point. It seems to know how I get energized after a gym session. But I have to keep checking that. I’ve never used sleep tracking before till the Venu 2S and am amazed to see the sleep metrics. When I got this watch, I thought maybe I should’ve gotten the Garmin Forerunner 745 because of the training metrics. I was missing the recovery time the Garmin 645 had (Garmin tells you how many hours you’d need to recover after an activity). It’s takes a few more clicks to find VO2 Max and lactate threshold and Fitness Age. But that’s ok. So long as those features are available, I’m good. I have yet to try it hiking to test elevation but so far I’m happy to use this as I train for future half and full marathons. I also downloaded songs with Spotify and connected to Aeropex by Aftershokz and the sound quality was great! So far I think I need to charge every 5 days or so depending on activities. It takes about a couple of hours to get full charge. Pretty happy with my new toy! (Oh the second photo doesn’t have sleep data because I had to charge before the long run)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So many screens I switched from my Apple Watch ( really user friendly) to the garmin, I loved the style & battery life! But it doesn’t give me incoming calls or texts. I’ve done all the troubleshooting and still nothing. I hear other people don’t have issues with it. I’m giving it a try for a couple weeks. There are so many screens and places to go to get to things, it’s confusing compared to the Apple. But did I mention the battery life? Lol I can actually track my sleep!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Concerns As a Senior with some mobility issues, I like many of the features on this watch, including heart rate, pulse ox and the safety alert capability. However, I am not at all pleased with the step count and the stairs climbed features. I am right handed so I wear the watch on my left wrist. I also use a cane with my left hand, and the watch does not appear to count steps while I am using the cane or pushing a shopping cart. And it only counts flights of stairs when a handrail is NOT used, which is impossible for me. I hope at some point Garmin can correct these issues so that this watch will be more useful for persons with mobility issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Great Smartwatch, so far I bought the Venu 2s as a replacement for a Fitbit Sense product that proved to be disappointing and frustrating to use over the nearly 2 years I wore it. But I needed a watch with similar functions due to health concerns and fitness needs. I am already using Garmin devices for my cycling needs-a Varia RT515 and an Edge 130 +, so a Garmin Smartwatch seemed a logical choice for connectivity and consistency of tracking, compiling and evaluating data. So far I have not been disappointed with my purchase. Setting the watch up to monitor and record critical data using the Connect and IQ Apps on my Android phone and desktop computer has not been terribly complicated. I still need to learn to set up Garmin Pay, Music and Workouts. Getting the watch to engage an activity was, I think, a little more complicated than it should be. It would be nice to start a cycling workout, for example, from the main menu or default watch face without going deep into the menu. I do find the online user's manual clear and helpful. More to follow as I become increasingly used to this beautiful smartwatch!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Really like the watch I have had the watch for two weeks now and it has been great. The HR and step counter are very accurate. I’m a firefighter, so the up and down on work nights negatively effects the sleep tracker. It isn’t very accurate on nights I’m working. At home though, it is. I went with the 2s because I don’t like a giant watch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it!! So I’ve had this about a month and I absolutely love it! It is light years above all of the Fitbits I have owned (I think 5). I have had no problems with the watch or the app. I love all the data it provides. Great battery life and watch face is really easy to read with great color and clarity. Seems to be more accurate than my Fitbits. My most frequent activities are walking and hiking and I love the data it provides during and after both. Love being able to keep up with my water intake right on my watch. Just really loving so many features of this watch and app. I wish I would have switched over sooner. Had no idea Garmin made such a superior watch. Do get a screen protector!! I did, and it has saved my screen face several times!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Attractive, mostly reasonable interface, poor supt It's attractive and fairly straightforward to use, with a few quirks to the interface. It's not great at tracking floors climbed & descended. Despite following the troubleshooting steps, it still doesn't count every time. I'm also disappointed that it woke me a few times with abnormal heart rate notifications, despite having DND During Sleep on and sleep hours set. I submitted a trouble ticket weeks ago, and followed up with screenshots as requested, but haven't gotten an update. So, I have to leave that feature off, because I'm not willing to be woken. Support is neither friendly nor helpful. It's not good at recognizing an activity, so I do always have to explicitly log it which is ok. Sleep graphing uses an odd color scheme with colors so similar it's hard to tell apart certain stages.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to Use I bought this watch 4 months ago. At first I didn't like it because it was hard to read and went black really fast. Then I googled how to set it up, and now it works perfect. The only problem is the activities are not in Engish, but they do have symbols. I use it for walking and bicycling. I haven't been able to figure if there is a way to change the activities to English.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Can be improved Bought it a week ago and while I'm still fiddling with it, I noticed the sensor can false detect pulse ox and sleep. For example, yesterday I took it off for a few hours and left it on my pillow. It seems like it reads my pillow's pulse ox for an hour -_-as for the sleep detection, if you stay on one side, it can read as you're already sleeping by two hours when I was actually reading and talking to my friend. I hope the accuracy of the sensor can be improved. And even if it's off, there shouldn't be hours off of actual data. I also hope there's an improvement for the watch to track nap. Overall I'd give 3.5/5

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't spend your money on this watch I was giving this watch as a Christmas present. I was planning on using the watch for exercise and the outdoors. I use to use a SUNNTO. I followed the instruction and charged the watch, downloaded the app to my iPhone 13, and proceeded to connect the phone. After receiving the code the watch would not connect. Now the watch and app are stuck in trying to connect mode. Its not my iPhone that is the problem it either the app or the watch. So stay away from spending money on an expensive paper weight. Also, by the way the online help and instructions that come with the book are useless. The watch designers should have designed a two button hard reset sequence for when the watch that takes you to the settings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty but not very functional As a long-time user of FitBit, I switched to Garmin last year with the hope of getting something that would be more durable. Unfortunately, the Venu isn’t worth the hefty price tag. It touts all these great features but doesn’t really deliver. The safety feature requires you to have your smartphone with you, but my watch frequently disconnects from my phone’s Bluetooth so it would take a miracle for it to actually send an emergency alert if something happened to me. The sleep feature works well except…if you wear the watch overnight it’ll give you a rash on your wrist (see Reddit for the many others that have experienced this). For $400+, Garmin could afford to provide customers with a more breathable band (I reached out to customer support about this and they didn’t offer a solution). Since you can’t wear it while you sleep, the energy tracking feature is rendered useless because you don’t start the day with an accurate baseline energy level. Also, the MoveIQ is meant to automatically detect your activity….but it (a) often gets activities wrong (for example logging a walk as an elliptical session) and still kicks in even if you manually start an activity - therefore double counting your exercise. This is bizarre and customers have been complaining about it for months with no solution. I had FitBit for 6+ years and never experienced a bug like that. Generally I find that the watch is over-engineered and that Garmin would benefit from taking a bunch of steps back to get the basics right instead of trying to offer a bunch of half-a**ed features. When mine dies I’ll be switching back to FitBit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best All Day/All Night Watch! I bought my Venu 2S to try to solve many frustrations with watches that track activity and sleep as well as offer connection to phone apps. After years of using Apple watches (multiple) and an older Garmin to accurately record running and other exercise, I decided to look for a watch in this category that would solve several issues. The Apple watches and a few other fitness bands I have used all share irritating factors: poor battery charge life, inaccurate activity measurements, connectivity issues, and frustrating interfaces. After extensive research, I decided to try the Venu 2S. I am just over five feet tall and on the lighter side so the small size was an attractive feature to me, as was the round rather than square or rectangular shape. I have never had a better watch. The Venu 2S has exceeded all of my expectations! Unlike when using the other watches and fitness trackers, I have no need of any additional watch . The Venu tracks activities and sleep and provides excellent data and insights on Garmin Connect. The screen is crisp and visible in all light I have been in so far. There have been no issues with water problems, though I run in downpours quite often. The Venu 2S streamlines all apps on the watch without cluttering the watch face. I receive texts, email notifications, and security system alerts, among many other notifications I want to get when I am away from my phone. I can stream music, check maps and watch the weather when planning my run. The best part is the LONG battery life! I can go days and days without recharging this watch. This feature is the clincher for me! I am 100% satisfied with my Venu 2S!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A tad disappointed for the price I was a long time Fitbit wearer that finally got fed up for the last time when my Charge 3 failed in the swimming pool again. I researched and thought the Venue 2s would be a good replacement albeit a bit expensive. I expected better activity tracking especially for walking and it's not great. Doesn't track naps and not intuitive to use the many apps. I can't manually adjust my sleep to add naps either so my body battery never shows accurate readings. They really need to update the software for existing owners to add naps. I walked for 15 minutes before auto tracking came on when it's set for 5 minutes. Really expensive smartwatch and my phone isn't connecting so can't answer calls as promised and paid for.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect watch! I had wanted to make the switch from Fitbit when I took up running again and needed more accuracy. I also wanted to keep the “smart watch” capabilities. I’m not an elite runner by any stretch, so I felt the Forerunner collection may be too advanced. The Venu 2s fit the bill having the running capacities I was after, plus still being a pretty smart watch for all my notifications. The small watch size is perfect for my small wrist. Battery life is great. I run with music sometimes and it still has about a week charge, which is comparable to the Fitbit. I’ve also started using the Garmin coaching and it’s awesome having the training right there on my watch. All-in-all I am really happy with the Venu 2s!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stylish and functional, music feature is limited I really like this watch. I already have the Garmin 235 but wanted something more suitable for everyday wear as the 235 is quite chunky. I like that the Venu 2s tracks all the same health features as the Garmin 235 and it is good for tracking running activities. I would like if it had the training effect feature on it so I tend to use my 235 for some of my runs to get that information. Also the music function is a bit limited. I don't have Spotify Premium so I can't use it. I've tried to download music that I purchased from iTunes but it doesn't appear to work so I haven't been able to use the music feature at all which is a pity. I was hoping to be able to avoid carrying my phone with me when running or walking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Inaccurate heart rate monitoring I really wanted to love this because it looks so much better than the other popular smartwatches but about a month after I purchased it there were issues with heart rate accuracy. I decided to return it when it showed my heart rate was 47 and my home pulse oximeter showed 112. If HR monitoring is high up on the list of important features it might be worth looking into other options. The “stress” tracker was a nice idea but does not work well for those with elevated HR as it constantly is recommending to take a break. I also found the sleep tracker to be inaccurate. It seemed that the time of sleep was off and I can only imagine how inaccurate the different stages of sleep were too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I have been using the Venu 2S since 3/3/2022 and am so happy with it! Love how it looks and feels but, more importantly, the Challenges are pushing me to be more active than I have ever been! It's my first Garmin. I have mainly been using it for powerwalks and I love that it tells me how long it takes for me to walk each mile. It pushes me to walk faster and now I can do 4 miles in an hour. Yesterday I even started to do some jogging on my power walk, which was a huge accomplishment. If you are someone that needs an extra push to work out this is for you! And I can't wait to track my bike rides and use the golf feature when the weather gets nicer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from When Fitness meets Finesse Been 15 days since I am enjoying my new watch. Venu 2s fits like a glove and works amazingly well. I've added my customized workouts and I don't have to look at my phone every now and then. Battery lasts 5-6 days and it's easy on the wrist. I upgraded from Fitbit Versa and I'm absolutely not going back. I wish I could sync it with my Withings scale though. That would've been convenient.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from light on my wrist and batter good for whole week A sharp looking watch with many clock face options. Tracks everything I need it to track and a battery that lasts a full week plus. Battery drains faster if you are tracking workouts with GPS but for ordinary use, I only drain about 10% battery per day. Twice that if I track a 45 minute workout.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the battery life! As a long time Apple user, I am SO glad I made the switch to Garmin. I love the battery life - mine is lasting about a week. I like that Garmin has better fitness tracking and statistics than Apple.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice looking fitness watch I chose this watch for two reasons: battery life and style. I have an Apple watch which has more features for the same price, but it looks inelegant and needs to be charged daily. The price on this Garmin is a bit high for the features, but it is stylish and tracks activity, sleep, stress, etc. very well. It's also very easy to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features and functionality I have only had this watch for about a week, and I switched from Apple to Garmin. I was worried about not answering texts/calls from my watch, but it has been an easy transition and definitely not a dealbreaker. I haven’t used the hiking or rowing yet, but the run, strength, and HIIT features work very well. The Garmin Connect app is awesome, and I LOVE that I can wear my watch for days between charges. My Apple Watch only lasted 16 hrs! Great job, Garmin!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable and easy to use I have had the Venu2S for a few months now. I bought it after using a Fitbit for a couple years. The band is more comfortable than the Fitbit (no more rash or needing to take it off at night). It has way more features than I need (I'm not a runner or swimmer etc.) but it does the things I need very well. I was worried that having buttons AND an interactive face would be too much, but the two buttons are easy to learn. The battery is good - I probably charge mine twice a week, which may seem like a lot (more than I charged my Fitbit), but I use a lot more features and I enjoy them so I prefer to charge more often than turn features off to save battery. It seems sturdy so far - I'm not easy on jewelry or watches (repeatedly broke Fitbit bands) and I see no signs of wear and tear so far. Overall, I am super satisfied, would buy it again, and would recommend!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Venu 2S is Great! Needed to wear a health monitoring/all purpose watch after a bout with Covid a year ago left me with A-Fib. This watch does s good job of measuring/displaying my heart rate and O2 saturation. With many faces to choose, I'm using one that displays those things as well as temp/weather and battery life. BATTERY LIFE is outstanding. With watch display set to longer intervals between timeouts with a dark screen I'm still using only about 9-10% of charge in a 12+ hour day. HR monitor is very accurate and SpO2 is close to what a finger oximeter displays. I don't know if the event monitoring function will work in case of a fall but I'm very happy with the purchase!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Accuracy!! I have been a Fitbit owner for quite some time, so I wasn't sure what I was getting into when I purchased my Garmin, but I can't say enough good things about this watch. The smartwatch features are amazing! I can finally listen to music without having my phone on me which, when the weather gets warmer, will be amazing for my afternoon walks/runs. I can also swim with this watch and get ACCURATE tracking for my swimming. I am still learning all of the features of this watch, but I am absolutely head over heels as of right now... :-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very impressed I bought the Venue 2S in November and it is saving me money! My previous watch (Samsung Galaxy) was linked to my Verizon account =$20 per month. The Samsung drained my phone battery and it's own battery would not last all day. With 7 days of battery and no monthly charge, this is a 5 star watch!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's alright I was very disappointed for the price that they didn't include both sizes for the wrist band. The band that came with what I consider an expensive watch was too short for my wrist. And they want $40 for the longer version. Other brands come with the two band options. Poor on Garmin's part!!! Otherwise the feature are somewhat comparable to the features I had on my Fitbit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lots of options I have been a FitBit user since 2012, but in the last month, switched to the Garmin Venu 2S and I wish I would have switched sooner. I LOVE IT! There are so many options, so much data and it is super easy to operate. I am guessing I will be sticking with Garmin for many, many years to come.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delay Text Messages We all love the feature of getting text messages on our smart watch. I wished this watch had a feature to delay the display of text messages. The text pops up and displays for maybe a few seconds and disappears. Then you have to manually go search for the message. Also why don't images display on the watch? If someone sends a GIF it just says image?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this watch I purchased the Venu 2S about one month ago. Replaced the Fitbit charge 5, my screen stopped working. I research the various features of Fitbits, Samsung, and more and decided I wanted a Garmin. I picked the Venu 2S because of the round face. I could not be any happier. Everything about this watch is great, easy to use. I especially love the ability to download activities that work for me. Currently I have Pilates and treadmill. I also use the alarm feature to wake up during the week.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from low battery life So far, using the watch for only basics, the battery life is pretty lousy. I haven't setup music, pay, or training, and I imagine that those will drain the battery faster. There isn't a very clear warning for low battery life - the watch just seems to die rather suddenly. Interestingly, I've been using my phone to compare the GPS distance tracker for runs and bike rides and the distance is always off. I'm not sure which is more accurate. In terms of controlling the device, I wish more was accessible via the watch. Instead any setting updates has to happen through one of the apps (and yes, having to bounce between Connect and Connect IQ to change the look of the watch is annoying).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features and easy to use I bought this 2 weeks ago and I love it. I bought it for using while exercising. It has so many types of exercises already installed it's crazy. Also the heart rate monitor works perfectly even while riding an exercise bike. I couldn't be happier with this purchase. Buy one you won't regret it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful smartwatch! I have had an apple watch for many years but was tired of it looking like a sports watch. I wanted something that was beautiful and could be worn to work, out to dinner, and to work out. I found the perfect blend of features and looks in the Garmin Venu 2s!!! I love that it track literally everything and it looks professional and classy! Thank you Garmin!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's the best! I had a very simple fitness watch die recently and tried two other options before ultimately choosing this one. It was a very easy and obvious decision too. The battery life is fantastic, it tracks my heart rate accurately, fits my small wrist and looks beautiful, and has the right amount of features. I can count on it working (had issues with my previous one and the two others I tried). The app is great as well. I was looking for something to track my workouts, heart rate, steps and sleep mainly, but the other features (weather, intensity minutes, stress, body battery, calendar and notification) are awesome to have. There are so many beautiful watch faces to choose from too. I would HIGHLY recommend this one to people because no other one compares (and I tried them lol).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Watch! I bought this as an upgrade to my Vivoactive 3S watch. I hesitated in upgrading for too long, this new watch is awesome. The layout of the workout screens and the stats is much more user-friendly and 100% easier to read than the dull MIP style of the Vivoactive 3. I mainly walk, indoor bike, and weight lift and I found that this watch is more accurate at counting reps for various lifting sets. I found adjusting any miscounted reps to be easy since it's all on one screen now rather than being prompted with different screens to adjust. I find that I can read this perfectly outside and the battery lasts about a week. I need reading glasses and I was worried that the smaller, AMOLED screen would be harder to read but is totally amazing and much easier to read. I like the smaller, thinner design of this watch which makes it look a bit more elegant on my wrist. I also appreciate the additional storage space with this watch and the number of beautiful watch faces that come pre-installed. This watch is worth every penny!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good concept, poor software I was very excited about this watch due to its smaller size, increased analytics, and menu. However, it has a big issue where the screen goes black and won't respond without a hard reset. It has nothing to do with battery life. I took one back and got a replacement which did he same thing so I returned that as well. In looking online, I see that several users have the exact same issue and understand from Garmin that it's a software bug issue. They sent me a software patch, but the instructions did not match what the service rep told us to do and the watch never updated. If they can fix this bug, it would be a great watch. For now, I'm sticking to my 1st generation Venu.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's pretty good After my fitbit sense died, I decided to buy the Garmin Venu 2S. I've had the watch for about a month and It took a bit of a learning curve, and I'm still learning. Its great that I don't have to pay a monthly fee, compared to the fitbit sense. The reason for the 4 stars, I wish that the bands were easier and faster to change. Otherwise, it's a great watch.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great watch! This my first smart watch/fitness watch and I really love its features and the look. I have a small wrist and so I love that it’s not too bulky. I don’t use the music feature or anything but I do love that it syncs with my phone. The battery lasts so long, for over a week for me. I really didn’t want a watch that had too many features I wouldn’t use that would take up a lot of battery life, so this was perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Huge Disappointment I have been trying to get used to this one but it has been a huge disappointment. I have had a Garmin watch for 2 years and loved that one. The Venu 2s does not hold a charge for more then 2 days if you have it with a watch face on it. I have the watch face on mine because tilting my wrist to get it to turn on does not work I have to push the button every time I want to see the time. I will reach out to customer service about this issue and see if there is something that I'm doing wrong but my other Garmin watch was a full time watch and the battery stayed charged for 5-7 days depending on activities.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pulse oximeter and compass underperforming I tested my Venu 2S's pulse oximeter against my medical grade FDA approved finger pulse oximeter and the Venu 2S's is not good. My finger pulse oximeter consistently shows my number at 98 or 99 throughout the day (a person's normal number should be above 95 all the time and should be consistent with no more than 1 or 2% variance, as I understand it). The watch's number fluctuates widely between roughly 84 - 96 and never reaches the correct 98-99, this is totally useless. Yes when the watch showed 84 my finger oximeter showed 98 side by side, and my hospital record this year also showed 98. Garmin, do something with your watch software to fix this. I hope there can be a firmware update soon to correct this. Otherwise I simply take this reading off from watch display or look at it as a joke! The compass when calibrated works fine, but the problem is it loses calibration too easily like once every day or every other day. And the recalibration following the owner's manual does not work. I tried it more than half a dozen times and it didn't work once. The only way it would work is to power off the watch and power on again before doing the calibration. Then it would work per the manual instruction. But the manual doesn't mention having to power off and on the watch to do this and having to power off and on each time is a hassle. Can someone look into this and fix this also? I tried two Venu 2S's and both of them have the same problem with the pulse oximeter inaccuracy and compass losing calibration and needing to reboot to recalibrate. Two sample of out I don't know how many Venu 2S Garmin sold. But this is my experience. I would feel much better if these issues are resolved with some future firmware update. So far not impressed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Fitness Partner! I bought the Venu 2S 2 years ago and it's the BEST investment that I've made for my fitness. This watch tracks so many different data points (sleep, water, various exercises, stress, breath work, etc.), and stores a LOT of songs so I no longer need to take my phone with me on runs/races. I love to take runs with my music, and thanks to this watch I can pair my earbuds and go. I know that the music will last, come in clear and should I ever get hurt or need help while I'm out, I can use the assistance feature to get help. Also, the Garmin support team is amazing! I had 1 issue syncing and they walked me through the steps, I was connected in no time again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nice upgrade I upgraded from a different brand that starts with F and it's a great improvement. I'm not completely happy with the battery life. I wish it lasted longer. I've adjusted to just putting it on the charger when I'm showering after a workout. Sadly, it's frozen twice resulting in contacting the help desk to get it fixed. Still not sure what caused it, but customer service helped fix it. It's extremely accurate and much better at tracking workouts, sleep, etc. than my previous tracker. And I love that I can pick what type of activity I'm doing for more accurate tracking.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome features and can remove what you don't use I bought the Venu 2S and it arrived Sunday April 10th. Got everything paired and setup. Had to do update on the Garmin Connect App before I could do anything else. Once everything was paired and synced up (super easy setup 5 stars), I stared going through and setting the apps in the watch up. This thing worked great and then Monday happened. The watch was excellent at work all day. I got home and the watch said update available, so I updated the watch. After the update it started loosing connection with my phone and lost connection with wifi at the house (gave ERROR code 0600...wifi needs to accept 802.11g.) and would not connect with anything. I tried to rest the watch to factory default (didn't work), uninstalled app and reinstalled (didn't work), even went as far as to do these things three times before getting with customer service. They told me to do the same things I did (I went onto Garmin and read the trouble shooting info). Didn't work. They said that my wifi router doesn't support 802.11g (it does, I made sure it did when I bought it 6 months ago and firmware is up to date). They tried to argue, I told then have a nice day. They apologized for the inconvenience. I sent it back for a refund and will try something else. I was really excited about this watch, it did everything I needed plus some. Take a chance with it and it may work for you. It turned out to be a $300+ brick for me.
