Ottimo acquisto e grande qualità!!
Comunque uno smartwatch di così alto livello e a quel prezzo che in dotazione non abbia un adattatore per la presa usb o per la corrente elettrica mi sembra una grande mancanza.

Perfect for the training athlete
I've had this watch for 3 weeks and I am in love. I upgraded from my Forerunner 935.
PROs
- The touch screen is very responsive.
- The training features definitely take your training to the next level.
- The HRV readings are great for understanding your bodies redines.
- The map featur is great.
- Live track adds a layer of safety that I didn't know I wanted.
- Screen is bright, even on lower settings.
- Great app integration. Everything you need is in one location.
- A good amount of customization both on the watch and app.
CONs
- Screen is energy hungry. I get about 2 weeks of use.
- If you are looking for a smart-smarr watch, this is not for you. This is a fitness trainer. Get a Pixel, Galaxy, or Apple watch if you want a smart-smart watch.

Good, not perfect
This is a very nice device and I would like to give it 5 stars, but cannot for the reasons listed below in my wish list. My early testing of battery life is estimated to be about 9 days with heart rate on and always on display turned on, without any activities.
Battery life with automatic gps setting in the hiking activity for 3 hours leads me to estimate a battery life of 15-16 hours.
Wish List:
1. A flat screen that would allow for installation of a glass screen protector. My experience with a Fenix 6X Pro before and after adding a glass screen protector leaves me with very little trust in a gorilla glass display that scratches while the screen protector has never scratched.
2. The supplied watch band is difficult to remove and will probably never be reinstalled, Quickfit bands are head and shoulders better.
3. Many but not all of the supplied watchfaces have unnecessarily small text sizes for the data fields. I once had 20/10 vision but those days are long gone. Those watchfaces could be easily corrected, but are totally useless to me as currently designed.
4. The pause screen for activities such as hiking contains scrolling data fields that I would much like to be able to modify. For example I would love to replace the calories burned field with an elevation gained field. My Fenix 6X has more appropriate fields.
5. Floors gained numbers are not accurate or repeatable when counted and no activity is in progress. A test of a trail section with no activity running gave a result of 7 floors, while the exact same trail section gave a result of 25 floors during a hiking activity, (and 251 ft. of elevation gain). Garmin connect synced the same numbers, while Garmin Explore synced with well over 400 ft. of elevation gain. This is not limited to the 965 as the Fenix 6X has a similar problem, both are less than accurate or repeatable when counting floors outside of an activity,

Beautiful
I have been wearing my Fenix 7 non-stop for 2 years waiting for the 8 and I finally broke down and got the 965. I am not missing a thing and its gorgeous. My one complaint is that it doesnt come with quick-connect. You nee dto buy a kit (cheap) and then the bands.

Great Watch!
I was skeptical on switching from a Fenix to this watch, but I totally love it and I would do it again if I had to. This watch is slightly smaller as far as the screen but it's super light and the battery life last me just as much as my old watch! I love how in the morning it gives you these nice motivational quotes!

Triathlon
My run coach requires me to wear a garmin. My newest obsession is triathlons, I upgraded from a forerunner 55 to the 965. I just did my last triathlon with this watch. I love this watch. The only blip I can find with this watch is you have to manually let it know when you finish swim, bike, and run. Apple is automatic. If you’re a garmin fan, the display is absolutely gorgeous, and the battery life is fantastic.

So difficult to use!
There are five buttons and a touch screen. After wearing it for two weeks and watching countless videos, I still find it incredibly difficult to get where I need to be in the watch. I have tried endlessly to use the music feature but there is always something that prevents it from working. You have to reconnect your AirPods every.single.time. My marathon coach needed me to have a Garmin but I would still be using my Apple Watch if not. It painfully lacks intuitive design.

Very good for runners!
I bought this few weeks ago, and I am really happy with it! I did also complete a Half Marathone Race in Lucerne, Switzerland, and had a great experience!
The only thing that makes me keep also the Apple Watch Ultra, is the way how the Garmin works with several applications at the same time, it was not easy to go from one to another during activity. For exsmple: I work also with Stryd as my training plan has been build there, and during my run I sometime need to go from Stryd to Garmin Run or to Spotify, and I was not able, I run into troubles during my run. If I can fix or kearn how to manage this, I will get rid of Apple Watch Ultra once and for all.

It’s bad. Don’t buy it!
The light sensor makes this watch a nuissance to use. Being one of the first amoled displays Garmin uses, it must still be in the testing phase. Light levels are all over the place changing brightness with no apparent reason, getting dark in the sunlight and bright in full darkness. And support doesn’t even try to respond.

Pretty Good
The watch is very nice looking. It's a great size and the screen is awesome. Accuracy for the most part is what you expect from Garmin. Really good. The only issue I have is with sleep tracking. I have had Garmin watches in the past that seemed much more accurate. If I turn over on the middle of the night it shows I was awake for an hour or more. Sometimes multiple times, and when I compare it to other sleep trackers I wear, it just doesn't seem accurate at all. That's a huge deal because readiness, training status and body battery all rely heavily on sleep and it throws everything off. HRV seems pretty accurate, but the sleep tracking needs toned down and maybe a setting for lower sensitivity. It's almost a deal killer and if I didn't have good way to track my sleep I would have sent it back. All that being said I do like it a lot. I run every day and everything else on the watch is great. Something just needs to change with sleep.

Good Battery Performance
I upgraded my running watch from 235 to 965. I know that this watch can serve me well, and it does. My only concern was whether the 965 model could have the same battery performance as the old one. The 235 model can last for more than a week for each charge. Since the new watch has a colored screen and more functions, its battery may not last as long, however, after using it for two weeks. I dropped my worry. The 965 model is even better. I ran four times a week, and the watch can maintain a 50% charge after a week. I am totally buy in into this watch now.

Forerunner 965
I am new to the Garmin watch world. I have owned a couple of Samsung watches before; the Galaxy Watch 4 was my most recent one. If you primarily use it for fitness, there is no comparison; Garmin wins easily. Samsung Health is certainly good; it is just that Garmin is so much better. If you want all the "smart watch " features, Galaxy is better, but for me, I get calendar notifications, email, and notifications from any text/Telegram/WhatsApp type apps. Also, incoming phone calls. These is all the "smartwatch" features I need. There is also Garmin pay (which my bank, unfortunately, does not participate in, USAA).
The screen is just excellent. And for me, one of the best features is the battery life. I had to charge my Galaxy daily, which is very inconvenient sometimes. I have had Garmin for a month. I have charged it twice, I think. As I write this, I just got home from a 9-day work trip. I charged the watch before I left, and this morning it is 52%.

Better than advertised....
The watch is incredible. I'm not a big tech kinda guy, so I was worried about being able to learn the functions and settings. After only a few minutes using it and little youtube I had all the basic functions down. It was really easy to set up the screen to what I wanted and activating a run, bike or workout is super simple. The watch is comfortable and looks cool with the bright face. My eyes are not the greatest anymore, so I was also worried a little about being able to see everything on the face. It's big enough and super bright, so I can see everything just fine. This is a great watch and I highly recommend it if you're looking for a quality multi-sport watch to take your training to the next level.

Got this a few weeks ago to replace my Fenix 6X Pro. What an outstanding screen! I don't miss the larger battery life either. With always on display, and night pulse ox I still get ~5-6 days between charges. Really Excellent product with tons of endless metrics and load balancing features for runners & cyclists. Huge upgrade. Completely worth it.
I previously owned the 945 and decided to upgrade. I have not regretted it. All of the interactions are smoother, brighter and, when appropriate, more intuitive. This is a great balance of improvement of the things I loved about my 945, without removing anything. There were a few small reviews that said the adjustments were mostly cosmetic. It initially felt that way, but after using it for the last few weeks, I feel like all the small things add up to a much better watch. Zero regrets.

I’m very impressed with the newer features of this watch, compared to the 935. The gps works more accurately and there are many more stats to calculate and review.
Also the watch band is much more heavy duty than the 935 (which was 3 yrs old).

GREAT WATCH - WORTH EVERY PENNY
User: 72 year old male – fitness fanatic (workout 4 days a week, 4.5 hours each workout.
Bought the Forerunner 965 to replace a competitor’s watch that I had issues with.
Uses: bike (paired with a TACX Flow Smart trainer), running, and strength training (arms, abs and legs).
This watch is fantastic. The build quality of the watch is very good, and I cannot find any issues with it.
Highlights: screen, activities, health, and performance stats.
Screen: the screen is bright, and the sun does not wash it out and it can be seen while wearing sunglasses. I had issues with these on my previous watch.
Activities: there are many types of activities to choose from.
I use the running activity and I set up my main screen with an eight field data screen (time, heart rate, average heart rate, pace, average pace, distance, timer, and calories) I do not have to scroll through multiple screens to see this data.
Bike: I do not use the watch when riding my trainer – I use the computer software that came with my TACX trainer. I use the Garmin Connect to view the data from the bike.
Strength training: I have an activity set up to collect heart rate, average heart rate, timer, calories.
The weather screen is real nice feature. It even shows the radar conditions and alerts you when it might start raining.
There are too many features write about. So I will end it here.
Bottom line: You won’t find a better watch than the Forerunner 965.
P.S. I have used Garmin cycling computers on my bikes when I was a cyclist.

Great watch, underwhelming ecosystem syncing
The watch itself is great. Lots of awesome metrics that push you to do more and not as heavy or bulky as the epix and fenix line! The biggest disappointment is the lack of cohesiveness in metrics across Garmin devices. Sure, training status syncs across devices, but why don't the components that make up training status sync? Why is my heat acclimation at 9% on my edge, where I do more work outside, and my watch says 69% Why can I not see my VO2 max trend on my watch when I can see online and on the app. In other words, the more you own the more disparate the system becomes

big fan of this Forerunner
I am a big fan of this premium Forerunner series - it gives you all the bang of the Fenix in a much lighter package - this most recent model is better with the brighter screen - and I like the esthetic of this model a bit better...the titanium bezel is a nice upgrade - my only complaint is why this does not come with a removable band - ummm Garmin? BTW you can use them but need some small tools to remove the stock band.

You must be curious to maximise use of the watch.
I bought the watch 3 weeks ago. It is very comfortable to wear all the time. The levels of information are amazing. You do need to be curious to discover all it can do. A one off read the quick start guide and implementation will not tell you very much. The guide book is cryptic at best and will not tell you how to go through an activity beginning to end. You will need to go through and google "I am in this situation how do I initiate the activity/search/information, make changes, terminate, edit etc.". Afterwards you need to think what else you want and then go search how e.g. skiing maps do not automatically appear so what must you do? (Actually very easy but not intuitive like most Garmin products).
A downside is that the watch is very running/cycling/golf centric. My running days are over and I never golf. Unfortunately, there is no other watch that competently handles my profile competitive swimming/weight training/skiing/hiking/open water swimming/kayaking/cycling plus some health tracking. The downside is that the suggested workouts do not match what I am going to do. The biggest impact is that the golf settings permanently consume a chunk of your 32gb storage. The watch is new, so I should be able to store maps for North America, Africa & Europe simultaneously but it cannot. My request is that the software not presume that everyone runs/golfs or cycles.

How does everyone do fine and then we are all suddenly losing power or it’s at 70 watts. Statistically unlikely. I have two 965 watches, the Tacx, and the 1040. Nothing reads correctly. I was told, I couldn’t return the trainer. Now I’m told I should have returned it.

Great watch, great motivator
I bought this watch about 1 month ago to start training for the Miami 1/2 marathon. I was a die hard Apple Watch fan, but started to get frustrated with the short battery life and I also desired more running focus metrics. The Garmin forerunner 965 was the answer to my prayers. The battery life is top notch and exceeds 12 days easily. I enjoy review the race predictions, VO2 max, HRV status, and health snapshot available to me. I love the morning reports. It really gives me a better understanding of how to train and when to rest. This watch is amazing. The GPS and maps function is a plus. And I enjoy the built in workouts and training programs/Garmin Coach available. The music/mp3 storing feature (with the use of Spotify premium) is useful. I can take runs without my phone and still enjoy music. I also tried the forerunner 265 (also a very good watch without the maps and music storage) and the vivoactive 5 (similar to the Apple Watch 7) for about a week long each…and the Garmin 965 is amazing in comparison. All in all, this is a very beneficial tool that is keeping healthy, motivated, and on track to reaching my running goals.

Excellent upgrade over my Apple Watch
It was worth the wait! My Forerunner is definitely an updraft from my Apple watch to support my training as a 67 year old masters rowers. While some of the functionality is oriented to running and cycling, the vast majority works well for me. The screen is gorgeous and the tools excellent. I owned a Fenix 5 before my Apple watch and the 645 is a big upgrade from that generation as well.

Great features, weak glass
great battery life that lasts 1.5 weeks and the running coach is top notch. The disadvantage is the price-quality ratio. Glass is also very weak. after 2 weeks already a scratch and Garmin's response is that you should buy a more expensive watch.

Flagship Forerunner is performing great
I received this watch for Christmas, so I have used it now for 3 weeks. Got it to replace/supplement my FR245 Music I've been using for 12 months. I wondered if I would experience any of the issues I'd read about (display too dim in direct sun, heart rate monitor jumpy, battery life not up to spec); glad to say I've not seen any of these negative behaviors, and this watch has been a solid performer so far. Display is beautiful and very readable everywhere, controls are great, heart rate monitor is precise.
Just getting used to the capabilities like mapping, which is impressive, and learning many of the new metrics like vertical oscillation and power. This thing is an impressive piece of technology. I have hardly taken it off since getting it, and will probably wear it 24/7 for the foreseeable future.

Mixed feelings
After using the watch for about 3 weeks there is plenty of good things AND disappointing things I noticed. For the most part, its great at what it is for and its clearly running and cardio focused, but it is really lacking in its gym functions. Currently my 2 big gripes is 1.) when inputting your lifted weights after a set, you need to scroll to get to the number whereas it is much easier in my wife's Venu 3s which uses a number pad instead. This should be very easy to implement on this watch with a bigger screen. Secondly and most important is the fact that inputting the weight after your set is basically useless since if you check the workout when it is done, you'll notice that all the numbers are wrong and seemingly random. I need to go into the workout afterwards and edit it every time. To end on a good note, I am very impressed at the watches ability to predict the gym exercise when working out without a plan and just doing different sets. It's clearly not 100% accurate but pretty darn good.

Amazing health features. Limited Apple integration
If you are switching to Garmin from Apple you are likely doing so for the health and metric benefits. From that aspect, this watch will not disappoint. I love that my exercise minutes are now based on a week vs day, as well as more points for higher intensity vs less intense. This watch seems to assume you want to be healthy and gives you metrics to gradually improve your fitness. There’s so many helpful functions: upcoming race, digital coach as well as sleep, VO2, body battery and so many more. I have no complaints on the athletic functions and need to continue to explore more. I know this watch is more marketed to runners but as an avid mountain biker, I find it just as useful. The display is great, maps are nice, and it is a lot lighter than the Epix.
Now the down sides. Coming from an Apple watch my main complaints are, I can’t send a quick “yes, no, maybe,” canned reply for text messages from my watch. I get that there is no speaker to dictate messages but a dozen canned replies would help a ton. I also do not like that all of my notifications are lumped into the “text” icon on the watch, i.e. if i have two unread text messages and two other apps also sent miscellaneous push notifications, the text icon shows 4 unread messages. I hope Garmin will change, in a future update, the ability to only show actual unread text messages in the text number icon vs every possible notification your phone generates.
All in all, this watch is excellent. It will likely improve your health but it does come with one or two drawbacks from the Apple integration side.

I like a number of the features and information it's providing me and the longer battery life. BUT, sometimes it switches to different modes when I'm on a run. Also if I want to add a workout or run that I missed setting my watch for, it doesn't allow that feature.

Best sports watch!
I bought the Garmin 965 about 3 weeks ago, i absolutely love it, my last watch was an Apple Ultra. I’m going on three and half weeks of battery life which I’m loving . The watch is the ultimate sports watch and I love the look and feel, very easy to wear at night for sleep tracking which I couldn’t do with the Ultra. Garmin has packed a lot into this very light and thinner 965. This watch is a no brainer for runners and marathoners.

This F965 replaced my Venu2 (which was a great watch, but more general purpose). The forerunner has a sleeker profile even though the face is bigger, and it fits under shirts better. Great face, super clear and crisp (and customizable), more readable during runs, love the lap voice; the running and training metrics / features / software are great, super happy so far (2 weeks), havent used the map features yet.

I've only had it for a few weeks and am still getting used to it, So far, I love the display and battery life, even with music enabled this thing lasts for days. I upgraded from a 910XT, so the buttons do different things so I make a lot of mistakes pressing the wrong buttons.
The heart rate calculations track with external heart rate devices.
My only gripe is the display doesn't always turn on when I look at the watch face. Sometimes I need to snap my wrist to light it up.

I’ve had multiple Garmin watches, the last was the original 935 when it first was released years ago, still a great watch and only replaced because there was features I wanted in the 965 that aren’t available in the 935. I can honestly say the 965 beats out my expectations. Personally I think it’s more accurate, also gets GPS signal incredibly quick even when traveling abroad. The display is fantastic. Good sport watch/needs improvement as a smartwatch
I’ve had this watch for the past 3 months and have used it every day since.
The positives are that it’s a great fitness watch, especially for runners. I love the Garmin Coach feature and am currently using it to train for a half marathon. I love all the analytics it measures and provides, and I love the detailed sleep tracking.
The negatives are more on the smart watch side. I have set the watch to show me notifications of just my texts, but not my other apps, (like Instagram, Viber, Snapchat etc), but when I did that, it seems the watch turned off all notifications including texts. I just want my watch to notify me of calls or texts, but not everything, like emails and 3rd part app notifications. I wish Garmin can fix this feature on an update. Also, something small like the weather. My watch only seems to update the weather whenever i open the Garmin Connect app and refresh it. It would be great if the watch would just update automatically based on my current location without having to take out my phone, open the app, and refresh the info. If Garmin finds a way to make their smart watch features better, they can really take over the market and might surpass the apple watch.

Upgraded my Fenix 6S Solar to the 965 about 3 weeks ago and I am not disappointed! First, the battery life is amazing. I was a little nervous about the size at first because I have tiny wrists, but was not willing to give up the mapping capabilities that the 965 offers; the size is a non-issue and I love how light it is. The screen and coloring is stunning; I am still learning about all the features daily, but love it more and more each use.

Very good, wish there were more apps for
I love my forerunner 965, my only knock (and it’s a big one, which is why I have to dock 2 stars), is that the apps are very limited for audio. I have no way of listening to my Audible books, and the only podcast app is clunky and difficult to use. If I want to listen to music, I need to pay a premium subscription for one of the apps (Spotify, Amazon, etc). This forces me to carry my phone with me when I run, which is the main thing I wanted to avoid with this purchase. My earbuds also don’t connect automatically, I need to manually connect them each time I run which is annoying, but that particular grievance is not a major issue. Other than these audio issues, the rest of the product is excellent.

945 on steroids!
I just upgraded from my Forerunner 945 and I could not be more delighted. I was hesitant about the touch screen because I was afraid it would inadertantly activate during various activities. However, that is not a problem and is a nice feature. The display is so crisp and clean that it is miles ahead of my old Garmin. The style is perfect and I am still digging through the functions. Now I just have to pick a watch face that I like.

My first garmin and I love it! It’s packed with lots of data and stats to keep me going. I’m just starting out with running & Pilates and was a bit apprehensive at first changing from an Apple Watch. It’s great for me to have the garmin coach, and to be able to see all of my health stats in one place. I’ve had the watch for about 3 weeks now and practically every day I have found a new feature. As I’m learning and comparing my progress, I wonder if there is a way to do this or that…& behold there is! Best purchase for keeping me motivated and to improve my health.

Great watch, for the most part.
Though I’m still learning the ins and outs of the Forerunner 965(having just switched from a COROS Apex Pro), I’m really happy with the functions and features. Place where the Garmin doesn’t hold up compared to the COROS is the Gorilla Glass lens. I had the COROS with a sapphire glass lens for almost 3 years of tough use without a single scratch. My Forerunner on the other hand already has a couple of tiny scratches from just working in the garden.

Overall I give the Garmin 965 5 stars.
My only complaint is I would like a setting that enabled the face to stay lit all the time as I like to look at it a lot when on my ElliptiGo bike outside.

Exactly what I'd expect from this trusted brand!!
I needed to replace my Fenix6 and wanted all the same functionality in a slightly lower-profile Garmin device. For me, there was never a thought about another brand as I've used Garmin devices as a triathlete/cyclist for more than 15 years. This Forerunner 965 has exceeded my expectations and is absolutely beautiful with the new AMOLED screen.

A screen I can read!
I upgraded to the FR965 from a 6 year-old Fenix 5x. Three reasons prompting me to upgrade were trouble charging, extremely inaccurate OHR readings due to the cracking that took place on the HR sensor, and my aging eyes just couldn't read the data screens during my workouts.
The FR965 took care of all of these plus has added features that my older Fenix never had, (ie...training readiness and the body battery).
The Fenix line is probably more suitable for a wider range of activities, but I don't plan on base jumping in a squirrel suit or training for a free diving world record...
I have given up cycling and now run exclusively so the Forerunner is perfect for me and does more than I'll, (and daresay ANY recreational runner will), ever need.
My training runs and workouts take place between 3am and 5am during the week before work. I run with a headlight and my favorite feature of the 965 is the brilliant amoled screen that lights up and displays my pace, HR, running power, and next step in my workout.
My power-based training plans written by Steve Palladino, sync to my Garmin Connect calendar from Final Surge and I follow the workouts on my watch using the Stryd power zones data field in native run mode. I'm also using a Stryd footpod and Garmin's HR Pro+ heart rate chest strap to track HR and running power. Everything is connected through ANT+ and/or BLE and works together flawlessly! Oh yeah...I also have my Jaybird Vista 2 earbuds connected to my watch and I'm listening to my running playlist on Spotify through all this.
The battery life on the FR965 is much longer, despite the well-lit display, than I was accustomed to with the Fenix 5X. Even tracking over 30 miles of runs and workouts, I only charge the watch once per week...even then it's still around 30% when I put it on the charger.
I've had several Garmin running watches/activity trackers over the years and the FR965 is hands down the best one yet. I considered the Epix 2 before deciding on this one and I have no regrets at all. I would recommend this model for anyone serious about their run training and the data that this watch can provide.

The best Garmin I've owned yet
So far I am 3 weeks into owning this watch. It's my fifth Garmin device and they keep getting better. The forerunner 965 is both functional and beautiful at the same time. As someone who has committed to wearing my device 24/7 it feeds my need to know my current status both in training and in my race. The quality of this watch is what you have come to expect from Garmin and just like always their support is there to back you up!

Provides guidance
For running, to know when I should be able to increase my milage I uses three information sources: the 965's stable of statistics, Trainingpeaks, and how I feel. Most of the time, all three point me in the same direction. The times when they disagree--and if they do disagree--it is not by a wide margine, but it is enought for me to question whether I should put my long run off by a day--I like the multiple statistics the 965 provides, e.g., Training Status, Training Readiness, HRV Status, and Sleep Assessment. Then, of course, there is the display. I am an 80/20 runner so I want to keep track of Pace, Average Pace, HR, Average HR, Distance, and Endurance, which I can on one display. So, it helps me to train better.

Love all the data!
For those already familiar with Garmin, I would without a doubt say it's worth it. I've heard questions about whether you can see the screen in bright light, or whether it turns on quick enough when you turn your wrist, but those haven't been a problem for me at all. I note that I keep the touch screen "on" (which is an option), and so if it doens't come on quick enough, I simply tap the screen - I switched over from a well-known competitor product, and really, that hasn't been a problem for me at all.
What keeps me from giving it 5 stars is the interface - SO many menus (and button pushes) required to perform relatively basic tasks (why do I feel like I need to "confirm" every choice with an extra, unnecessary button push?). Like changing the watch face - let me just swipe left / right to bring it up, rather than push and hold to enter a menu, make a choice, then swipe, then confirm? Again, a simple swipe left / right should handle it. I'm happy to just swipe back in the event of an inadvertent swipe to bring me to a wrong screen (just like if I accidentally swipe up/down to bring up the "Glances" menu - which happens very rarely, so it's entirely fine).
All in all, the data I'm getting is totally worth it. Great detail on my swims, bikes and runs, bonus that I'm getting a lot of info on my golf game too (and very cool detail / graphics on the golf app), useful health info, useful training recommendations, etc. Could be better on the "strength" aspects of training (I get it, everyone's still focused on cardio, but strength is a HUGE factor that the general population is waking up to - get on that now!).
All in all, don't regret my choice at all.

Incredible battery life, even better screen
I got this as a gift to myself and to replace my vivoactive 4. I was interested mostly in better battery life and wow does this deliver. The first charge lasted 8 days including 4 rounds of golf, two trips to the gym, and a 4-mile run! I didn't initially think much about the upgrade to an AMOLED screen, but it's unbelievable. It's absolutely gorgeous and it's a delight to use. Additionally, this watch is full of so many new features compared to my previous watch, even 2 weeks in I feel like I'm just scratching the surface of what's capable. I highly recommend this watch to athletes of all kinds. It's stylish, lightweight, and gives me unprecedented insights into my health and fitness. Huge thanks to the Garmin team for creating such an incredible product.

Switching from Apple Watch
After diving into the "Getting Started", watching videos and tutorials, and playing with the watch, I hope to be pleased but that may take time to know for sure. Couple of improvements for the functionality could be a dial to scroll through options on the watch and better API integration with phone data/apps, which I'm realizing is a gap by design, unfortunately.

What a beautiful watch!!
I have been using the golden oldie 920XT for the longest time and decided it was time to splurge at bit. So far I absolutely LOVE this watch. A couple of new things I really like is that when I swim the watch vibrates to let me know it's my last lap through my Training Peak training swims!! Seems small, but very helpful! The watch itself is big which makes you really appreciate the usability of it! The battery life is awesome! I have about 8 training workouts a week and I teach 12 group fitness classes. I use the watch for all of them and at the end of the week I still have 38% charge left!! Lastly, and it seems small, I love the morning reports! Especially the sleep function. It lets you know how long you are in REM, Deep, Light sleep, and awake. Super cool!!
The only beef I have is that I REALLY loved the 920XT mounting kit for bikes...If the 965 had that and the ability for me to control my phone music in Group Fitness classes this would literally be the perfect watch!!!
It's worth the price tag all!

Great Display
The new Amoled display is awesome and is a huge needed jump for Garmin. As for the sleep tracking and all of the other pieces that rely on this feature Im not sure they are there quite yet. I use a HR strap as Garmin's have always been notoriously bad at wrist HR tracking (as opposed to the Apple watch) so until this is dialed in I have a hard time taking the sleep. etc metrics seriously as it is all relying on the wrist HR to drive it. I do like the weight as opposed to the Fenix 6 which i upgraded from. Overall Im very happy with it and it works great during workouts etc..

Colorful..but..
Great watch but two complaints.
Instead of using cheap plastic, that colorful watch face deserves a crystal, sapphire, or other quality lens to bring out, as well as to compliment, the
gorgeous amoled display..At least offer a choice. My other complaint is that on a run, the music controls disappear after a few seconds and revert back to the timer, etc. I listen to music on a long run and enjoy quickly glancing at the watch face and controlling the music and seeing what selection is currently playing.

I love the suggested workouts and how the watch will alert you when you are going too fast. One thing I would change about the suggested workouts is the ability to change the goal pace (in real-time) based on incline or decline.

Great watch
I had the Samsung watch 4 and was continuously disappointed as it would die after 30-45 mins when I'm water, but I loved having smart features. The Forerunner 965 is 10,000 times better. I can wear it over a week, using it as I want without having to think about charging it. It works in water for hours maybe losing 1 percentage of battery at most. And, it motivates me to get back into the fitness things I love with all it's cool features!
I'm so happy with this watch, I love it's tracking features, and it's running coach is so helpful for gaining confidence to get back into running since having my first baby.

Amazing display!
New AMOLED display is the best upgrade to the Forerunner series in the last 5 years. I was amazed how much better this watch looks now. During my runs it is much easier to read the information on this display and it doesn’t noticeably effect the battery life. Big win for me.

Great set of features but steep learning curve
This watch has almost all the features you look for in a multi-sport watch - metrics for running, cycling, swimming, and a bunch of other sports. Its large watch face and bright display make for quick reading while doing your activities. Its weight is also lighter than what you'd expect. The band is also comfortable. I like that it tracks your sleep and gives you a morning report. It also does a good job of sensing how ready your body is for certain levels of training. It also has basic watch stuff like timers, stop watch, and alarms. It has all the metrics you'd expect for every sport. Battery last for about a week on full charge, and recharges to 100% in about an hour. Now for the bad parts.
Figuring out how to use and configure this watch to your liking is challenging. It's not too intuitive. I wish Garmin paid more attention to the user experience aspects of this watch. At the very least, include a helpful quick reference card with the top 10 actions for running, swimming, and cycling. That would go a long way to reducing the learning curve. The user guide is 150 pages! It's best to send the manual to an AI model, then ask the AI questions about the watch.
Another gripe is that you need to connect the watch to your computer to do updates and configure some things. What in the year 2000 is this? Requiring connection to a computer? That's just so tech backward. You should be able to do everything with just Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Sigh.
Overall though, I like the watch and am keeping it. Still learning how to use it and customize it to my liking though!

Smartwatch features exceeded expectations!
I've been a long time user of Android-based smartwatches, but I needed something better for running training. Plenty of reviews out there on how great all of the metrics and features are for the 965, and I agree with them all. For training, this watch is second to none. And luckily to top it all off, the smartwatch features I thought I would miss (notifications, watch face customization, replying to texts, etc) all exist on the 965 and have greatly exceeded my expectations! Plenty of watch faces to choose from (both Garmin and 3rd party), and you can customize the complications. I don't see myself going back to my old smartwatch at all. The 965 has everything I need.

Great Watch, Mediocre Software
The watch is light and super comfortable for its size. I'm still trying to figure out all its functionality. I really wish Garmin would do a better job with its software. The watch has a touch screen, but you can't touch an icon and see more information about it. While the Google Pixel watch needs a lot of work, you can swipe in all directions, up, down, left and right. For $600, I would expect more from the software experience.

Slightly Disappointed
I've owned both the 265 and the 965 for the past few months. I recently upgraded to the 965 hoping I would get better HR accuracy at the gym. Just yesterday I was on the treadmill, watch said 109, treadmill said 131. Then the watch dropped to around 90 and maybe 10 minutes later showed 139 and matched the treadmill. I had both issues with both watches, I wish they had better accuracy. Other than that I do enjoy the wact.

GPS Great in OWS
I needed a new watch that had a more accurate grab of the GPS for my open water swims. I am trying my hand at my first marathon swim. I also still needed to be able use it for my Swim Runs and when I decide to do another IRONMAN. I am super excited for all the new functions and the bright colored screens. I am hoping to love this watch as much at I loved my Garmin 735XT.

Fenix965 scratched from
Mostly happy, but...
I'm extremely happy with my purchase of my ForeRunner 965 with the exception of one major issue, in my opinion. Within a month of owning the watch, I now have two scratches on the face of the watch. So disappointing!!! Gorilla Glass 3?! Is it supposed to do something protective? I had my Fenix 3 HR Sapphire for 4 years with zero scratches on it! I would have paid extra to have this watch with the sapphire face, but it wasn't available. Again, so disappointed that I now have to live with a great watch with scratches on its face for the life of my watch.

WOW!
I recently started running again and I was using my Apple Watch which I thought was a great device; however, once I began using my Forerunner 965, I quickly realized how much better this device is. Not bashing Apple by any means, but this device is much more accurate in terms of GPS which relates to more accurate running stats. I have barely scratched the service on all the options this device does. Like anything that you are new to, there is a little bit of a learning curve but once you get started and understand the device, you realize how easy it is to work with. The number one factor that initially grabbed my attention is the battery life!. I charged it to 100% and the battery lasted seven (7) days and it was still at 39%. I ran a total of 16K on the device and I was still at 39%. That's unbelievable as I am used to having to recharge my Apple Watch once a day no matter what. I highly recommend this watch to any one that is serious about running. There are too many awesome features to list but all I can say is that I absolutely love it.

After being an Apple Watch runner, I was looking for a sport watch that offered more analytics and insight into my training. I researched between coros and garmin and ultimately decided to go with garmin. I’m pleased to say that I absolutely made the right choice. I love the OLED screen. The battery life is insane. I’ve had it for a month and only charged it twice so far. The readings are extremely accurate. Although I have a tiny wrist, the watch looks beautiful.

Great watch for trailrunner
This is a great watch. I choose the 965 because of the AMOLED display, the display size, maps and navigation, and the lightweight plastic design. Screen is much better than MIPs displays of past watches. Colors are vibrant and maps are what you want in 2024. Battery life has been great. There's a ton of features that I've yet to use, but so far things are as good as advertised.
My only criticism is around music support and route building in trail running mode: I'm primarily a trail runner, and I live in an area with a trailhead across the street and hundreds of miles of linked trails; however, when attempting to make trail running routes via the watch, the suggested routes all had long sections of road miles. (I'd like the trail running route building to be on trails and not on city streets) Also, when using the software on my computer to build routes, there are holes in the software that won't allow trails to be followed as they are, but instead the route "snaps" to a road making the route I'm trying to build nothing I want to follow. YouTube Music isn't supported unfortunately.
Garmin maps and navigation are definitely the best in the business, but they can and should do better.
Technology makes such small changes from year to year; however, the changes to the display of the 965 is significant. It's a great watch.

I really enjoy the customization options with the Forerunner 965. The native watch faces created by Garmin are really nice. The only thing I wish I could change was adding steps displayed as miles as a data option on the watch face.

Watch is fantastic, UI takes getting used to
4.5 ?? but rounding up! Am absolutely floored by this watch. It is a trove of data and stats that make me want to perform better and be the best version of myself. It has an impressive battery life and in the two weeks I’ve had it, I’ve only had to charge it twice and that’s with several GPS and indoor workouts getting tracked. Had an Apple Watch prior to this that I had to charge daily so this forerunner blows my mind. My only grievance with the watch is the UI - it takes a lot of getting used to and is very clunky to work through. The garmin connect app has a ton of data and stats and charts, but it takes me forever to find things and I feel like I’m fumbling my way through the different tabs/sections/etc to try and find things. Wish it was easier to modify things on my watch directly from the app as well, like changing the watch face from the app would be SO much better. Regardless, this watch is SOLID and I am so thrilled to have it as a training tool and a life tool. Definitely wish I had converted sooner!

Very, very good.
Garmin has really outdone themselves. I have used several other smartwatches and Garmin is the best. I had a Garmin Forerunner 45 and the transition was so easy with the Garmin app. I purposely bought the baby Garmin to see if I liked it having used the smartwatch named after a fruit Series 7, and a W------s Sc-- Watch. I have a few bugs to work out with Live Track notifications and the Blood O2 is slightly different/lower than a quality finger sensor but this thing is so good. I wish it had a setting for more robust notifications. The satellite tracking is spot on and the customization is crazy good. The stock watch faces are really good. The display is out of this world good. The menus are not completely intuitive but close. The tracking is Better the InReach Mini 2 but of course the satellite communication of the InReach Mini is a must. If Garmin would just add this to a Forerunner, I would stop what I am doing and buy it. Regular cellphone texting capability would be great too, even if Bluetooth. The Training Readiness and Status are a nice distinction. Battery life & Management- great. I wish a watch could take my blood pressure to make a complete picture of my stress. Talk about monitoring health. My pic is a little blurry, not the watch.

Fantastic training watch
Positive: I started using my FR965 a month ago, and I immedeately loved the amoled screen, which is visible even in sunlight. There are plenty configuration options to get exactly the data you need for your activity. With the FR956 you get good feedback of your training progress and restitution, and training guidance with suggestions. The battery lasts about 12 days with "always on" turned off, and 8-9 hours of activity with GPS only.
Negative: The weather report shows the weather at some unknown location for 1-2 seconds, before showing the weather 50 km away from the set location. So it is only partly useful. There is no LTE, so you have to take your phone with you to use LiveTrack. My FR965 suddenly stopped synchronizing to Garmin Connect today.

Terible watch
This watch is terrible—it doesn't deliver on its promises for triathlon or biathlon athletes. I bought it 2 weeks ago. It should be marketed exclusively for running, as the swim training tracking, for example, is abysmally recorded. Additionally, both the watch and the app are far from intuitive. Sometimes it doesn't log the workout because when you select swimming, the watch automatically switches to running, and you end up with inaccurate data as it records a swim as a run. Moreover, the glass scratched after just two days of use. It’s poor quality all around and not worth the price. If I could, I would return it, get my money back, and buy a watch from a different brand.

Great Features
It helps me consider all aspects of my body, and gives me a better understanding of how I feel about myself. Another aspect I like about Garmin is its rounded shape. Actually, I have not worn a watch in whole my life, but Garmin made me feel that I gotta wear a nice watch!

Awesome Battery Life!
I have had the watch almost a month and only had to charge it once. I use the lowest screen brightness setting and the gesture mode. No problems with battery or seeing it in the sun. Love the interface and the functionality of the widgets like training readiness and the daily suggestions.

Great feature packed watch!
I was a long time Apple Watch user and just switched to garmin. It’s a feature packed fitness tracker that has just about everything you could ever need. It has amazing battery life, excellent AMOLED screen (it could be better) and hundreds of customizable faces. My only concerns are that I can’t see the time when working out and the rowing app does not display heart rate when using it. Other than those two minor things it’s solid choice!

Love the Screen
The screen is a huge a improvement, and the customizable watch face is great. Love the new watch and morning report. Only downside is it doesn’t have the quick release band to switch between bands. I like the yellow band but want black for work, still haven’t gotten the hang of pushing the pin in!

The screen is brilliant! I absolutely love it. Love some of the new features like the HRV score and morning report too. Plus the ability to navigate with a quick swipe rather than forward and backwards by clicks. It was a nice reward for surviving marathon training and will serve me well for triathlon and cyclocross seasons

Great Watch for Garmin Ecosystem
I bought the watch last month to move away from my Apple Watch. One of the primary reasons was the good battery life and I was not disappointed. The battery life and the ease of use for basic sports watch functionality is outstanding; the integration with none Garmin accessory Stryd foot pod, music is rather clumbsy and hard to use. Actually, I have not managed so far to load any music on the watch (I am using exclusively Mac as compters). Even the basics like reading the weight from my withings scale/account and/or Apple Health is NOT supported. So in hindsight if you do not 100% buy into the Garmin ecosystem the watch is clearly overpriced, if you have all your appliances from Garmin this watch is ideal.

Great features! But my watch has lots of problems
I bought this watch about a month ago and really like it. The battery don't last as promised by garmin. As a fact, my fenix 5 battery last longer. The watch gets unpaired at least twice at day. To pair the watch back to my phone takes many tries. I feel disappointed at garmin. I waited for the watch 6 weeks and never got it even though they discount the money from my cc the day of the purchase. Now I have to wait weeks for the new replacement to arrive!. But they discount the money right away and ship the watch months later. Overall I do not recommend this watch to anybody.
Too bad that my fenix 5 stop working one week before garmin release the forerunner 965.

Disappointed
Overall, I've been really frustrated with this watch. I bought it as an upgrade when my 935 died, but have had consistent issues with the GPS, even when adjusting settings to maximize accuracy. I'm running on roads, not in areas with high buildings or features that usually cause GPS malfunction, and within any given run I'll see instantaneous paces of 2:30-5:00 when I'm comfortably running 8:00+. Sometimes it will lap miles 2-3 minutes faster than I'm running. As a result, the distance has been way off, sometimes getting .7 more miles than friends on a 10 mile run. It may just be that I got a bad watch, but I wouldn't recommend it.

The Perfect Running Companion!
A few weeks ago, I made the leap from the Garmin Forerunner 245, which had been my trusty companion for a couple of years, to the new Garmin Forerunner 965. As an avid trail and ultrarunner, the upgrade was a significant step, and I’m here to share my experiences with this new gadget.
The Beloved Features of the Forerunner 965
AMOLED Display: The most striking feature for me is the AMOLED display. It’s a game-changer compared to the memory-in-pixel (MIP) display of the 245. The quality is reminiscent of the Apple Watch, bringing a sense of familiarity and comfort. Although I primarily use the buttons, the touch screen is an added convenience.
Race Adaptive Training Plans: Garmin’s Race Adaptive Training Plans have been a revelation. By setting my upcoming races, with a focus on my primary race, the Garmin creates a tailored training plan. It takes into account various factors like sleep quality, heart rate variability (HRV), and past performance. I’m currently using it for my Grasslands 50 Mile Trail Run preparation. It’s adaptive; if my routine changes, the plan updates accordingly, a feature I find incredibly useful.
The Morning Report: This is a feature that I look forward to every day. Upon waking, the watch prompts me to view my morning report, showing sleep quality, training readiness, HRV, weather, and the day’s training plan. It’s informative and a great way to start my day.
Design and Battery Life: The Garmin Forerunner 965 is impressively designed – thinner and lighter than other models with similar screen sizes. The battery life is commendable too; it lasts about a week even with regular GPS use during my runs.
The Downsides
Honestly, I haven’t encountered any significant downsides yet. The Garmin Forerunner 965 has met all my expectations, making it a potentially perfect running companion (aside from my dog, of course!).
Conclusion
As an enthusiast in trail and ultrarunning, I find the Garmin Forerunner 965 not just an upgrade in technology but an enhancement in my training and daily life. Its features like the AMOLED display, adaptive training plans, and the morning report align perfectly with my lifestyle and running goals. So far, the Forerunner 965 stands as a strong contender for the title of the perfect running companion.

I have had the watch for over a month now and love all the features that it provides. It has definitely helped with my run game and I am fascinated with all the metrics that it provides. The only way this watch would be perfect would be to have a sapphire screen however I immediately put on a TPU screen protector which melts into the display and I hardly know it is there. Overall I am very happy with my Christmas present.

Great watch but not super great for CrossFit yet
I received this watch as a gift a month ago, and I was so excited because I've been wanting to use a Garmin watch for all the cool data points and such.
The watch is great, but it's mostly for runners or cyclists and activities that don't require much use of the hands or wrists. Those who use it for CrossFit/HIIT/Functional Fitness may experience some difficulties. For instance, when extending the wrist or bending your wrist back, like for a front squat or a handstand push-up or wall walks, the workout start button gets pushed accidentally, so your workout is constantly starting and stopping as you go through the workout. Also, it'd be great if it could sense the workout itself and begin tracking automatically. It's also difficult and uncomfortable to wear with hand grips or anything that wraps around the wrists. I've been thinking about wearing it upside down (so the time is upside down) so it places the start button furthest from my wrist. I also thought about trying to wear it a little higher up on my arm.
It's a wonderful watch, but there is still room for improvement to be functional fitness friendly.

It does everything!
I started running and cycling recently and after talking to a friend about their Garmin (epix 2 I believe), decided I wanted to upgrade from my apple watch. I opted for the Forerunner 965, and I can honestly say i have never been so happy with a watch. This thing does everything, can customize any workout, and gives any stat you can think of. Not to mention the screen is so crisp and clear even in direct sunlight. Don't even get me started on the battery life compared to an apple watch too... (almost 3 weeks on my 965 compared to not even a full day on my old watch).
If you're thinking of upgrading to an FR965, just do it an you won't regret it!

Back to Garmin and I couldn’t be happier!
This watch is awesome! I’m into running and triathlons as an amateur. I started looking for a smartwatch in the summer and got my first 965, worked perfect, but I decided to return it after trying it and got an Apple Watch Ultra thinking it would match better my lifestyle and would be easier to connect with my iPhone, but missed these top 965 functions which made me come back to Garmin:
1) Garmin Connect: it has all the data I care (and more) and graphs with great insights. I rarely check Strava or other Apps now other than to check out friends (and to see my live feed while riding the bike)
2) Training readiness: showing me the hrs I need to rest and it is really accurate.
3) Morning report: it is that nice that I want to have the watch overnight to confirm that the way I’m feeling matches the report.
4) VO2 max with predictions for 5k, 10k, half and full, and comments about how my training is impacting my fitness overall with recommendations.
5) Battery life is awesome, I even removed the state of charge from the watch face because it rarely needs to be charged and when it does it charges super quick while I take a shower or so.
I wish I could just connect with Apple Music and stream music instead of only Spotify.. and having a phone line with speaker also gives me peace of mind while running in a trail by myself but that’s not super common.
Overall the 965 is an awesome watch, super light, accurate while running outdoors and o. A treadmill, and I love the yellow band!

I bought the 965 about a month ago and couldn't be more pleased. I am 74 and went cross country skiing this past Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Also went to the gym for a lower body weight session on Sunday and an upper body weight session on Monday. Woke up on Tuesday morning and was pretty well wiped out. Looked at my Garmin Body Battery Score and saw it was a ONE. It couldn't have quantified my feelings any more accurately.
I researched rather thoroughly before the purchase. I made a great choice!

I’ve had it for about a month. Love the screen and features. Battery life is still pretty good even with the AMOLED screen which was my biggest concern. The only thing that bothers me is that at least I expected the watch to be similar in gps tracking to the 255. but there are several times that the line is all over the place. Don’t know if it’s just my watch but I hope it’s not the case for all of them.

This Watch Does It All
I recently upgraded to the Forerunner 965 from the original Venue that I wore for four years. I’m a runner, cyclist, and backpacker, and I like to strength train. I was also looking for a multi-sport watch that looked nice enough to wear to work. I like to spend a lot of time researching the different functions and features of Garmin's watch line-up, and I went with the 965 over other options because of its beautiful AMOLED display, map navigation, activity options, and - vainly - I liked the white wristband and silver accent color option. Let me tell you, this watch does it all and it looks great. The morning report gives you a ton of data related to your training as well as in-depth sleep monitoring. It even records naps, but who has time for those? As a weather nerd, I was also pleasantly surprised by the weather radar feature! Another impressive feature is the battery life. I have gone over a week without charging it, even after recording activities. It also charges lightning fast. Overall, this watch is worth every dime, and it does all the things I need it to do.

Fantastic run/sports watch and health motivator!
The watch face is large, ie fitting a dress shirt or jacket cuff is sometimes a pain. But the large size enhances the beautiful OLED display. The 965 is fabulous for all its features. Bottom line is it enhancing my training motivation, my health consciousness in now monitoring my sleep quality, my recovery status, my VO2 max progress, my HRV, and more. I literally want to get a good night’s sleep just so my morning report upon waking gives me a good sleep score! I love the GPS accuracy in monitoring speed, distance, mile time. I even just programmed a 5k’s route using Garmin Connect online which will track via Garmin mapping when I run the actual race in April. As for activities, I’ve only so far used run, treadmill run, and strength train. I don’t know how it knows what kind of strength rep I just did, but it does, and I can’t figure out how it knows my sleep stages too. I thought I would prefer the simulated analog EpixPro watch face imported through Connect, but the widgets don’t work, and I prefer most the circular colorful digital face as advertised. There are so many more features, and I know I am just getting started. The watch also connects quickly to my Polar H10 chest strap as soon as the activity is activated. Battery life is quite good and I can get a full recharge in the time I’m done with my shower! For highly informed fitness training and health monitoring, this is an impressive watch! When will I put my Rolex Submariner back on? I just don’t know!

Worth the Upgrade
Graduated to the 965 as the 955 was unreliable. Online chat talked about the 955 failure to start up; mine DIED during an update. The Garmin 965 is excellent! Great battery life. Looks good. GPS is consistently on point. The color screens are easy on the eyes. Seamless interface with the Garmin Connect App is even better than previous models. A little pricey, but we only live once! Great watch- Same HR Monitor issues
I’ve been Garmin loyal for about a decade. Decided to upgrade from the 945 to 965 due to battery life issues and the terribly inaccurate HR monitor on the 945. Unfortunately, the 965 seems to be just as bad in that regard. Otherwise, I really like the watch. But you’d imagine for $600 Garmin would have a less antiquated heart rate monitor.

What a watch!
The new Amoled screen added the “cherry to the cake” and “fixed” one of the shortcomings of my previous 955 which was that it was hard to see my metrics while training at night.
I am using the quick release band and bike mount from my previous 945 which was a genius feature (PLEASE Garmin bring it back for the next generation of top Forrunner’s) and allows me easy access to use my watch with Garmin Pay (every time I take the watch out in a store to pay I hear someone says “Oh! Wow!”) plus makes very simple to charge my watch.

Awesome Upgrade
Preordered the forerunner 965 from REI. Was worried it would look huge on my small wrist but it's really not that bad. Looks a little awkward in the photo but it's not bad. Love all the training features and health information. Battery life has been fantastic, I don't have any complaints there. Used this for a marathon a week ago and after the run the watch was still over 80% battery. I don't know exactly what I started with but I ran first thing in the morning and slept with the watch on. So it was not fully charged.

Excellent for Runners and Health Lifestyle users
Was about to purchase an Epix when I saw this was coming out. Appreciated that it was already set up for optimal use by a runner - and the extra data it is able to collect without the need for additional sensors. If you’re a runner - this is a great value for that reason. You can pull it out of the box and go for a run without much fuss. The setup and use of the app is smooth and doesn’t require a ton of tech knowledge. All-told this is a really well executed product - I’m very happy and looking forward to years of continued use!

Buy this watch!
From someone that has always had the latest and greatest, I moved from a Fenix 7 Solar Sapphire and have not only no regrets, but am still super thrilled with the new 965. The AMOLED is simply amazing. The battery life is great and the functions of the 7 are all in there. I will miss the flashlight a tiny bit for those times I needed it.. Love this watch and it looks amazing!

The DISPLAY!!!
I upgraded from the 955 solar and what a difference! First the screen is AMAZING! I can see it much easier than the 955 and I even get pictures with text and email alerts. I was concerned about the battery life, because of the screen and no solar but not an issue at all. I do all my activities, running, strength, and wear it all day and night and only have to charge it once per week! I'm very pleased with this watch!

False scare but great in the water
My Hr usually runs at 43-48bpm. I have my high and low set to alarm. At first, I started noticing it re wording a Hr at night that was low at specific times. We are talking 18bpm and 28bpm. At work one day my alarm started going off. It read 28bpm and held at 30bpm. I felt fine. My manual reading on both my carotid and wrist read around 50bpm palpable. When I got home I put on my old rose smart watch which uses dfit and it read 60bpm...matching what I was feeling. My Garmin was dead wrong. I restarted my Garmin watch and both watches read the same. I had my rose watch take my BP and it was 106/60...fine. Now, I double check everything my Garmin is telling me against my other watch to see if it is accurate.
My Garmin also seems to be having a problem.pucking up on my Garmin heart monitor, bike sensors, and run pod. It also has a hard time communicating with my Form swim goggles.
By itself, it works great during workouts, it does not play nice with other sensors.

A watch for the runner
I'm absolutely thrilled with my new watch! The features are incredibly useful and have exceeded my expectations. This was a help on my long runs to track my progress and distance. It is very accurate compared to my IWatch. The design is sleek and stylish, and the build quality is amazing. The accuracy and ease of use are impressive but was tricky at first. Highly recommend this watch to anyone looking for a reliable and feature-packed watch for the beginner to the experienced runner.

Has cured my battery level anxiety!
I look down and see 53% battery life... a number that at 10am in the morning would send shivers down my spine only a few weeks ago. Now I see that and think, Ok, I have a week or two before I have to worry. Great features, lasts (nearly) forever, and looks good. I was a little concerned about the size, moving up from a smaller watch, but it wears well and the screen size and visibility make up for any downside. I really love the sleep score, HRV, training status and readiness features in my morning report, and that I can adjust it. It amazes me how it can tell so accurately when I actually go to sleep - I tend to toss and roll for a while before finally knocking out. Satellite capture is quick as reported and so far my limited swimming seems to have it doing its job there as well. So far, so great!

Vibrant Screen Upgrade but Altimeter Issue Remains
Great upgrade with the touchscreen and vibrant colors but really much of the same features as the 945/955 predecessors. More importantly, Garmin has yet to figure out how to keep the elevation working on these watches for more than 4-6 months, especially if you're a swimmer. Yes, that is the approximate life you'll get out of the watch if you rely on elevation for any of your bikes or runs. According to Garmin the chlorine in pools is what is causing issues with reading elevations over time. The good news is Garmin will replace the watch completely under warranty but always with a refurbished watch.

Great for main uses but a couple minor annoyances.
Everything for tracking my runs and rides has been amazing.
Minor annoyance number one the pedometer when not exercising isn’t the best. I can walk from one end of my house and back without registering any steps. This causes my daily step count to be significantly lower than my actual steps. My previous watch would count them all. It’s not a huge deal but for the price I was expecting better.
The other minor annoyance is the app. I set the first day of the week to Saturday or Sunday. The intensity minutes only resets on Monday. Why can’t I have my actual week and my intensity minute week be the same seven days?
Like I said minor annoyances. Just because it doesn’t register all the steps I take while at home and work doesn’t mean I didn’t take the steps. It does it’s suppose to do while I’m exercising and that’s the main reason why I bought it.

Works great... except for ski maps.
Love the watch, it's got tons of data and works great. Battery life has been great. However...
So far I haven't been able to access the ski maps. I've followed the instructions and there's no option for actually viewing the ski maps - even when I'm at the ski resort. I'm going to need to contact support AGAIN to figure that issue out.
It's disappointing because a major reason I purchased the watch was to be able to access and view the ski maps.

Garmin 965
I had a 735xt. The 965 has been good to great so far. The added features over the 735 take a bit to become familiar with, especially the different interface. The HRV data took longer than the stated one-week period to start showing up as a trend. The data, for me, does not appear to be as useful as average HR during sleep because my HRV does not seem to change much regardless of workload. The suggested workouts seem to be slowly catching up to my capabilities and background. I was coming off a long period of not working out much (but was active) and then jumped right back into long workouts; the 965 kept telling me I am overreaching even though I felt fine. It finally stopped doing that although the suggested workouts are still not up to my fitness level in view of long history of training. I would say that for someone just starting out, the suggested workouts are probably close to what said person should be doing. The VO2 is off, but I don't really care about such data anymore. I really like the larger screen size and resolution. Very easy to read. I still use a Garmin 520 on my bike because has more data and is easier to read while riding. I don't save the ride from the 520 but instead save the ride on the 965. Overall, I am satisfied with the 965. Long term, we will see how it holds up. The 735xt was a bit of a stinker as to durability. Had four replacements I think.

Battery life and features are 10/10!
I was on the fence about switching smartwatch brands. My previous one was pretty old and I had to charge it at night and then again before I did a workout in the evening. I knew friends that raved about Garmin so it was added to my list of options. After some extensive research (literally just me searching for YouTube videos comparing different watch brands lol) I knew Garmin was the way to go. I'm still getting used to some of the buttons, but I'm glad they're there because it makes starting, pausing, and stopping workouts so much easier. I'm glad I made the switch, this is a game-changer!

Overall good. Not compatible with Tri QR Kit
There are detailed reviews all over YT. But none had mentioned that if you were using the triathlon Quick Release kit, which on former models allowed you to easily move the watch from your wrist to your bike, is not compatible. There is a universal mount that purportedly works for mounting the 965 on your bike. But even if you convert your 965 to use the QuickFit bands, it won't clip into the tri QR wrist band.

This is a bigger watch I knew this buying it but I was disappointed when I noticed only one size band came with it I have a small wrist and had way to much slack with the longer band that came with it

Excellent watch so far; still a work in process
I got this watch several weeks ago. So it's still early and impossible to test every function (and I won't use them all lol). But it's great. I'm satisfied with the purchase and would buy it again. I'm also glad that I moved over (finally) to the Garmin platform. The way it integrates with my triathlon training plan via Training Peaks is incredible. The workouts simply upload to my watch and I do them. I had this with previous watch but I had to manually create the workouts then sync them. So this feature is a big plus for me. The syncing/uploading of the workouts is also a very quick process (again, way easier than my previous watch). And, as most of the thorough reviews that are out there say, GPS and heart rate accuracy are excellent.
While not dealbreakers, there are a couple negatives (again, still early). Two of my four lap swims were not accurate (one shorted me by one pool length; the other overstated by two pool lengths). My freestyle stroke was consistent and I "glided" off the wall as they tell you to. So, not sure. But I'll keep at it and see how it goes.
I also did a 30 minute treadmill run and it overstated by over a mile. To be fair the workout was a last minute decision and I did no research upfront on treadmill running with the watch. So I could have missed a pre-step or something. But the cool thing was it allowed me input the correct distance before I saved it.
The only other drawback (compared to previous watch) is inability to manage the activity data fields via Garmin Connect web. I know I can do it on my phone app and directly on the watch. But it would be great to have the flexibility of doing this on my laptop.
Again, this is a great watch and I'm glad I got it and made the move over to Garmin.

Glass gets scratched, due to bezel redesign.
I've only had the watch for 3 weeks and already have two scratches on the glass, vs. my 945 which I wore for 3 years and only scratched once. Thinking it is that the bezel is lower and the glass protrudes vs. the 945 where the glass sits lower than the bezel and the bezel protected the glass from "side swipes".

I am about 2 months in with the Garmin 965 and am completely sold! I appreciated my previous Garmin, the Vivoactive 4, but this watch has so much more to offer. Great watch
I bought this watch about a month ago, and it is awesome. I am not a runner but love this wacth for what I do which is adventure motorcycling. It tracks speed, time miles, altitude and heart rate. It also ties into my inreach device and will allow for triggering an SOS from my wrist after a fall. If needed. I have an Apple Ultra also and wish it lasted on charge like the Garmin, but wish the Garmin had cell service. But 10 days on a charge is hard to beat.

I’m totally geeked out on this thing. First off, the watch works great. There is a lot to it so it was a bit overwhelming at first but the more I learn, the more I love it. I was able to receive benefit immediately and it took me a few days to really begin to learn the details. This watch tracks everything it seems and makes living a healthy life much easier. It’s fun to see how my activities have an effect on my body, in real time. The Garmin Connect app is an easy to use app that pairs well with the watch. I just got into one of the coaching/training plans. I’m impressed. I’ve certainly learned a few things and I’m amazed at how the coaching plan is intuitive and changes based on my body’s readiness for the day, etc.

Really liking the FR965
I had a fenix 6s and realized that it wasn't the size but more the weight so once I started wearing the bigger screen FR965, I experienced the light weight of the watch and enjoyed it more. The screen is so clear and you can see so much of the map now. I normally crash hard doing jumps on my mtn bike but I haven't had a serious crash yet so I didn't put the "toughness" of the watch through the test. everything is fine. I'm hoping I don't get any scratches on my next crash.

Traded in my Apple Watch Ultra and don’t regret it
Love this watch so much. Only gripe I have is that my heart rate falls off during my run and weightlifting which forced me to get a chest strap. Also I wish the heart rate sensor was bigger on bottom of watch. Maybe I wouldn’t get the drop off if that was the case. This never happened with my Apple Watch. Fix that and you have the perfect watch.

Fantastic Watch
I was looking to upgrade my watch as my Fitbit Charge 4 had stopped working. I am active and run almost daily and felt like I wasn’t getting all the information from the Fitbit that I wanted. I went back and forth trying to make a decision between the Garmin 955, 255, and Instinct 2 tactical for about a month as I read and watched a ton of reviews. Then I saw the new 265 and 965 on the website and knew that I had waited for a reason. I ordered the 965 with an estimated arrival of 4-6 weeks. Sooo worth the wait!! I love it! I was a little worried about the size, but it hasn’t been an issue during the day, on runs, or while sleeping. Received it on 4/8/23 and charged the battery. I have worn every day since I got it and used the GPS(connected fast) on a 12 mile run, two weeks later the battery is still at 17%! I did charge this morning for the first time after working out and driving to work. In 15 minutes, watch was charged back up to 40%. To me that’s outstanding based on how active I am as I’m using it to track runs. I was lucky to get 3 days out of my Fitbit and friends with Apple Watches charge theirs daily. The touchscreen is an awesome feature, super easy to toggle up and down and the watch face is bright . This watch is so amazing, really!! The band is comfy, the running features are fantastic, setup was easy, heart rate monitor is accurate, changing of watch faces is easy… I really can’t say enough about how happy I am with my purchase!

Amazing Battery Life
I have been using the watch for 2 weeks now. I love the style (White/Silver)... the watch face options look pretty amazing. I really cannot believe how long the battery life is. I have seen the battery life below 70% and have only charged it once. Navigation has taken me some time to understand. I use it for biking, running, swimming (Lap Pool). Run and Bike tracking are great. Swimming I struggled a bit. The metrics didn't make sense to me. It recorded odd laps... 25m, random 50m and 100m all in the same 25m pool. I don't know how to flip turns and tooks some rests without stopping the watch, so maybe that was the hiccup. I came from using a FitBit Versa 3. The post exercise metrics were easier to make sense out of. I really liked the magnetic charger from the fitbit vs. the physical connection on the garmin. In-spite of all this, I could not be happier. This is a huge step up from the Fitbit.

Pretty big upgrade from 945
I've been using the 945 for a while, and got this as I really wanted the automatic HRV tracking. It's a surprisingly big upgrade, the screen is very pretty and functional, the battery life is amazing (with screen auto on), and having power for running is nice. Very pleased with it overall.

Great multi-sports watch
I’ve had my new Garmin Forerunner 965 for a couple weeks and love it! I’ve had a couple Garmin running and multi sport watches for about 15 years. My Forerunner 965 is without doubt the best of all of them. Beautiful screen and impressive battery life. So far I’ve used it for running, walking, kayaking and biking, Logical and easy to use menus and configuration. I highly recommend the Garmin Forerunner 965.

Watch is Great, App and Webpage are Very Poor
Bought this to train for a marathon and rim to rim run this fall. The watch is sleek and well made. I can't hardly feel it on my wrist. Screen is bright and clear. The app and the connect web page on the other hand, are very poor. You can't compare or manipulate data, you can't adjust the watch from the web page, which would be so much more convenient than pressing those darn buttons. Manual is very poor in helping people with focus e.g, I'm a runner and want to set it up for running, not music or texts or weather or golf or.....

Really good, but….
The good bits, amazing screen, comfortable strap, superb battery life.
The bad bit, Garminpay is utter pants! Not a single UK high street bank uses it so if you live in the UK it’s a waste of time. Come on Garmin get this sorted and earn that 5th star.

Watch Face / User Interface is unbearably bad
I have used Garmin watches going back to the old 405. I returned this watch without ever using it. The Watch Face / User Interface is unbearably bad. I talked to support and they said that there is no way to just get the 965 to look like a normal watch instead of some space DJ looking silliness. I am a professional and wear my watches 24/7. I can't have clients seeing me in a silly watch that would be more at home in a grade school.

I Have been a long time Garmin user. I am a triathlete. I have had the 935, 945, and now the 965. I love the bright screen, the added metrics and the battery life is much longer. Also, despite the large screen, it is super light. I went back and forth between this and the Fenix for my small wrist but I am happy with my 965.

Next step in changing my life!!!
I have had the 965 for a few weeks now. I believe this will change my life. I came from Fitbit, mostly because I wanted something standalone. I do not use a smart phone so needed something I could interact with using only itself and my computer. This fits that bill perfectly. I love the size and weight it’s large enough to see and maneuver the data screens. It’s light but still feels solid. I am not a runner (due to childhood injuries) but I cycle, walk, and do light weights. Even though it’s called the ForeRUNNER it covers all my bases. I love the GPS functions, especially round trip! I also love that it has Wi-Fi built in so I don’t have to plug it into my computer after every workout to have it sync with Connect. The more I learn about this watch the less I think I know. It’s a wealth of data recording and will go a long way to aid in my continued weight loss and trying to reverse as much damage and weakness in my legs as possible. Thanks Garmin, can’t wait to see what you think of next.
P.S. please continue to improve and update Connect, Express, and IQ, for us few non smartphone users that are left. I’d like to see a more seamless cohesion between these on my laptop.

Amazing watch!
I upgraded my Forerunner 955 with the 965 and the amoled screen is amazing! I love all the high end tech features for the running aspect. The screen is so crisp and easy to read. Prior to getting a forerunner 965, I did extensive research for a watch or fitness band that measures sleep score, training readiness, training effect, stress level, etc. I found the forerunner 955/965 to both have all of those features, in addition to another brand watch that requires a monthly membership fee. It was a no brainer to go with the forerunner 965!

Beautiful Watch
I bought this watch a month ago I love I just to have 945 and upgrade for the new 965 because my oldest watch battery die pretty quickly. All the future are amazing really like deserve 5 stars but the only problem wit this watch if you have a Sleeve Tattoo in your arm the heart rate green light on the back of the watch it’s not going a be 100% accurate or sometimes it’s not going a work. You need to fine the perfect spot on your wrist with a very light ink so the HRM can work.

Also love the morning report and internal running metrics. I am disappointed that there is no quick release kit for the 965 (I understand that went away with 955) and the kit for the 945 is not compatible. I have submitted a feature request.

A Top Sports Watch BUT Not Geared For Seniors…
I’ve been using a Fitbit tracker for 8 years. I liked it a lot but the GPS was not great, and it had my HR in the 170’s-180’s when I worked out hard. My resting is 43, and that didn’t make sense. My son told me I should try the Garmin 965, so I am.
I love all the metrics on Garmin. They are very detailed and appear accurate. *What I dislike immensely is how they rate sleep scores. 72 year old men wake up frequently to pee due to our prostate enlargement. Fitbit scores you vs your peer group as most men in my age group are awake 15-30% overnight. I am always below that but Garmin scores us the same as a 20 year old. That’s not accurate science and each morning after a good nights sleep, I get a poor rating because I was up 10%. Four trips to the loo and only up 10% is actually amazing. FIX THE LOGARITHMS and give us ACCURATE sleep scores age related or they are a false metric

Awesome Running Watch
I have been very impressed by this watch so far. The metrics and stats during and after each of my runs are super helpful. The display is great and it’s easy to navigate around. I switched from an Apple Watch to the Forerunner 965, so it took a bit to get used to a Garmin. But this watch is an excellent product! I’ll honestly never buy an Apple Watch again. I mean that. This watch has everything I need and way more than my Apple Watch offered me before. Sleep data on this watch is also awesome and knowing my body battery, training readiness, etc., has been helpful on days when I know I’m training a little too hard. The watch reminds me that I need to cool my jets for a bit. It’s a nifty companion for sure! I highly recommend.

Wish it would work as a watch, telling time anytime you look at it, no matter what is on the screen or where it is positioned. Like my phone, I have to engage with it to turn on the screen to tell time. When in an activity time is not available. Frustrating.

Great Features and data tracking
I got this watch a month ago and use it for my runs. I use it most the time with an accessory pod. I like the wrist based hard rate monitor that is fairly accurate, when the watch is tight on your wrist. The morning report is very enjoyable to have and with the sleep tracking I get a fairly accurate picture of my fitness level. The new display makes the info on the dial easy to read, it is crystal clear and the data display during running is perfect. I only can recommend this watch.

A Game-Changer for Fitness Enthusiasts: Garmin For
A Game-Changer for Fitness Enthusiasts: Garmin Forerunner 965 Review
After a year of anticipation, I finally took the plunge and bought the Garmin Forerunner 965, and let me tell you, it has been nothing short of a revelation for my fitness journey. As someone who’s deeply involved in both running and varied workouts, this watch has seamlessly integrated into every aspect of my active lifestyle.
First off, its sleek design and durability are commendable. It’s lightweight enough to forget it’s there during a grueling CrossFit session, yet robust enough to endure the rigors of daily training. The watch is a perfect companion for those who, like me, don’t shy away from challenging workouts.
The real magic, however, lies in its functionality. For runners, the Forerunner 965 is like having a personal coach on your wrist. Its accuracy in tracking runs is top-notch, providing insights that have helped me understand my performance better and push my limits responsibly.
But it’s not just about running. The versatility of this watch is astounding. It flawlessly records different workout metrics, making it an invaluable tool for anyone managing a diverse fitness routine. The music function is a cherry on top, allowing me to leave my phone behind and still enjoy my favorite tunes, keeping me pumped throughout my sessions.
The morning report feature deserves a special mention. It’s like having a daily fitness diary that keeps track of my sleep, recovery, and readiness for the day. This feature has been instrumental in helping me make informed decisions about my training intensity and rest days.
In summary, the Garmin Forerunner 965 isn’t just a watch; it’s a comprehensive fitness companion. It’s the perfect blend of technology and practicality, making it an essential tool for anyone serious about their fitness and health goals. If you’re on the fence about this watch, take it from me, it’s worth every penny!

Great Screen, Great UI, but the Charging port and.
Have had my FR 965 now for about two week. The interface is smooth and colorful. The screen is beautiful as is the USB Interface. The watch face is now beveled making it difficult it protect. Screen protectors don't extend it making it easy for them to become dislodged and now the protectors stand out.
I have done everything from Running, Cycling, weights, and swimming. The watch has worked flawlessly. Did have an issue with the speed sensor giving erratic data when crossing a bridge but that also happened on my edge 820 and Edge solar 1040. It is a Speed Sensor v1.

Way too big
The watch is way too big, my wrist is very smal and i have small hamds, which makes the watch to look even bigger, not everybody has a thick wrist or big hands the watch is not complete touch, if you want to touch to save your activity, it doesn't work, then if you want to turn it off, if ask you if you want to turn off again and then you have to push bottoms which makes it annoying.

Fantastic watch on every level!
This watch is a perfect upgrade to my already enjoyable experience with Garmin products (my previous watch was the Fenix 3 HR Sapphire). I loved that watch and I love this new 965! The features and information it provides is absolutely impressive, not to mention the AMOLED screen is crisp, bright, and beautiful!

Wow I can see it!
This is my 4th generation Garmin multi sport watch. This one is by far the best. I can not believe how great the display is.

Love it!
I have had this watch for about two weeks and don’t miss my Apple Watch. Great battery life. I am using the half marathon training plan, so far I like it. I like the detailed training feedback. Definitely more motived adding this watch as a training tool. I have only had to charge it once in two weeks, while using it daily for workouts, leaving it on sleeping and two triathlon sprints.

Great Forerunner and great amoled screen
I'm very happy with the Forerunner, I switched from a Fenix 6x Pro to this and i don't regret. The colors on the screen, the metrics, the size and height are perfect

Get Something Else!
I had previously owned a different fitness watch. Upset that the company took off the music app I use (and allowing for too many steps during the day), I decided to switch to Garmin. Specifically, I chose the Forerunner 965. Horrible decision. There are too many buttons. While I am most definitely not the brightest bulb, you should not need a manual to figure out how to use a fitness watch. Then, perhaps my favorite- it is impossible to download Apple Music. The directions given by Garmin on how to do it on an IPhone do NOT match with what is on the actual IPhone.

Super Display
Bought the watch about a month ago. Display is easy to read in all light conditions. Configuration and operation is intuitive.

watch face
I have always had a garmen and my new garmen Forerunner 965 is what I needed. I like the white band, the size of watch face. However, I noticed after 3 weeks a lot of scratches on watch face. I have no idea how this happened. I have not fallen. It is just normal wear usage. I am really upset over this because if watch has scratches now, what will happen in 2 years? I'll need to contact Garmen or something.

Seconds time out
Great watch. Just disappointed with one thing. I upgraded from a 725xt and was used to continuous seconds when the backlight was off(need it for work). When I purchased the watch this was able to be accomplished when using the basic stock digital face. However following my first software update this was no longer possible and the seconds time out with the display

Screen and features are amazing
I upgraded from a Fenix 6S so the screen size and brightness was somewhat of a shock at first. But it’s amazing to be able to see the map on such a large screen. The touch screen features help too. And the screen animations for work out activities are fun. All in all I’m really happy with it. It’s not that heavy for my petite wrist either. Win win.

Great watch, responsive touchscreen
I absolutely loved my previous garmin 945 and this one is a significant upgrade for the screen and touch capabilities. Love the metrics too.
