Rated 5 out of 5 by from How to?? So I open the box. No instructions on how to operate. No description on what button does what. Walks you through initial start up but no more details. How to load a golf app?? How to customize your screen? How to use the programs already on the watch. Watch is nice but sure would like to have been able to get going quicker than trial and error method. Yes I have been on Garmin's web page and how to videos. They need to step back and review from a new user's perspective to see if they are meeting the needs of the new user.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Comfortable and easy to use! This watch is great! It's light, slim, and comfortable to wear 24/7. Garmin Connect and the Garmin IQ store are easy to use which makes using the features of the watch easier and more enjoyable. I love the customizable watch faces and all the data that I can view at any given moment. I use it for primarily for running, lifting, hiking, swimming, and everyday life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fenix 6 Just got this about 2 months ago and I'm loving the new data and features on it. Still getting used to it and the GPS is a bit quirky. Battery life seems very good so far. Screen is excellent. I had a 5X and I like this screen better.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great watch for the price and features it provides This is my fourth Garmin watch. Each model being different, they all have something to offer. This is not a smart watch how we might expect it to be but is still loaded with features and, has the ability to download more from the Connect store. Why did I buy this one? I was looking for a durable outdoor watch that had the features (I) was looking for. I consider this watch to be a combination of my Instinct and Vivoactive 4. It feels to be durable as all get out but has smart features such as Garmin Pay, Hydration tracking, ability to downloaded unlimited watch faces (plus more). This is NOT a touch screen watch like my Vivoactive 4. Although not clear to me (product description) when purchasing and was a bit disappointing when received, all easy enough to get over and navigating the watch and it’s controls only took a minute to work through. All functions are controlled via buttons on the unit. The controls are solid and exhibit positive engagement. Love the 1.3” screen. No chance I can’t see the data I am looking for (even in low light). Battery life is great and I am getting a solid couple of weeks between charges so far. Tons of other features I have yet to try but know they are available should I need (want) them. All in all, I would recommend. Go Garmin!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An amazing fitness watch I have tried few watches (Garmin venu 2, Garmin venu Sq, Garmin Fenix 6 , Apple Watch 6 among others). After few weeks of use, I returned all of them except Apple Watch 6 and Garmin Fenix 6. I kept both Apple Watch and Fenix 6, because both are outstanding in the fitness and smart watch capabilities with great build quality. I liked both of them but I find my self wearing Fenix 6 most of the time due to its outstanding battery life and the great looking design.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super watch I had a Fitbit BLAZE and it did the job, but it never came close to this amazing watch. I have only had it for a few weeks, but I am doing something different with it each and every day. I hope that it will be this awesome next year.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent legibility For the last couple of years, I've been using an iWatch to record my runs and rides. My last Garmin was the Forerunner 235. I'd heard good things about Corus and thought I'd give the Apex a try. The Apex is well made and has lots of features. Unfortunately, the screen is dim and difficult to read. The Fenix 6 is much easier to read and is packed with features I've yet to explore. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase but might have gone with the Instinct 2 if it had been released earlier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Needed a wrist heart monitor and much more I really only wanted a means to monitor my heart rate using my Edge 1030 as the primary compute platform. The Fenix 6 maybe a bit excessive, but it works extremely well. Smartphone capabilities include email, text, and phone notifications. What's not to like

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Looks good, feels good, works ok (for me) This watch looks great and feels super solid. I upgraded from the forerunner 735xt to this specific watch for a few reasons: multisport, pulse ox, and body battery / sleep tracking. I was also trying to replace my whoop strap with this watch since it should be capable of providing most of the same data. The disappointing part; I find that my HR stats are missing for hours at a time.. everyday, hasn’t tracked sleep since the first two days worn. I’ve tried troubleshooting, restarting, turning on and off HR tracking, connecting and disconnecting chest HR strap. So at this point my favorite feature is the battery life. Then the out front bike mount attachment. Works well when tracking exercise.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great capabilities I am enjoying my Fenix 6 w all of its capabilities. I was replacing a 235 so this watch has much clearer display and solid feeling buttons. The negatives are watch is heavy, if u sleep w the watch the HR lights blinking can b annoying if u don’t have watch on tight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from As Advertised! Took me a bit to watch instructions on YouTube. I found best way was to get the very basic functionality, for example what each button does then just start using. Learned quickly. Then when I wanted to add another bit of functionality (pay function) I searched YouTube and found it easily! I am a firefighter and tough in watches. So far it’s holding up beautifully. Prior watches did fair so well!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome watch I got this for my bday a few weeks back. It’s a great watch coming from a Apple Watch. It does a great job of fitness tracking which is what I usually use these watches for. I gave up being able to talk into the I watch for this and respond to messages but I gained dog track (big selling point for me). My only two gripes is it’s big and the band I find less comfortable than the apple but I am sure I can get aftermarket bands for it. I also wish garmin sold a screen protector for it as it seems to be hard to find an aftermarket one that is a confirm fit and function. Garmin makes great products and has great support. I am a big believer in their products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from upgrade and update from my 920xt I got this on clearance as the newest models were coming out. It's been great. Lots of options built in-some nice, some that make it busier. It is easy to personalize for activities I do and don't do, I turned a lot off, but looks nice and has been a good purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great features!! No complains Received the watch 2 days ago and have been learning about this full featured watch. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heart rate is way off I bought the watch a month ago. I am very happy about the accuracy of the distance and pace, but the heart rate during run is way off compared to my Garmin chest band. It almost adds 60 pulses every minute. I still have to ware my chest band and pair to my cell phone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Junk!! What a piece of crap. This thing is difficult to use. It doesn’t sync with other Garmin products like the Variable radar. The Heart rate function is incredibly inaccurate. What a waste of money!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Underrated After coming from an Apple Watch, I wasn't expecting this Fenix 6 to be so amazing. It withstands the daily abuse I put it through, looks like a quality watch, and has all the features I need and more. Can't go wrong with a Garmin Fenix

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this Smart Watch I received the Fenix6 as a Father's Day gift. My son overheard me say when my Vivofit3 ever quit I was going to buy a Fenix like his. Since receiving I have been impressed with how it interfaces with my iPhone and the ease in which I was able to customize for my needs. It tracks and records all the same stuff as my Vivofit3 plus much more. I am an avid golfer and it along with the Garmin Golf App makes tracking my game very easy. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for something that is not as gadgety as the Apple Smart watch and has a more traditional look.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid, reliable watch with a few quirks I bought the Fenix 6 as an upgrade from the Forerunner 235 to use primarily for running and occasionally walking. I've been very pleased with the short GPS sync time and the accuracy of the mapping for my activities. Very happy with the battery life, it seems much longer than my 235. The menus seem slightly more intuitive than the 235. Notifications work great on this watch and I'm very pleased how they're implemented. I also like the automatic do-not-disturb feature that kicks in at night. The big negative to the Fenix 6 is the altimeter. It is rarely accurate even though it is supposed to automatically calibrate using the GPS location at the beginning of a run. I usually start and stop my runs at the same location and the altitude is frequently different by as much as 10-20 feet. I have little confidence that the altimeter would be useful during activities such as mountain hiking where knowing the exact altitude is very important. For road running, it's just a "nice to have" feature so it's not a big deal. I'm also not sure that the Pulse OX measurement is accurate so I've given up trying to use that feature. Finally, the screen is OK but sometimes hard to read indoors. Looking forward to the day when watches with great screens also have long battery life.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from GPS and pace off I would not recommend this for anyone serious about running. GPS and pace was not accurate. For the price you would think it would be more accurate. Get a Garmin 45 more accurate and much less expensive .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Inaccurate pool swim distance The Fenix 6 consistently fails to measure distance currently - even in UltraTrac. None of the Garmin Support recommendations apply to me ie it is not my fault. The problem is the Harmon algorithms are inept.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic product! This is honestly one of the best purchases I have made in my life. Infinitely customizable and more than comfortable to wear, it lets me track my health status all day long whilst also providing a bulletproof survival tool for the wild outdoors. I go >4 days without recharging, and that is with everything operating 100%. I cannot say enough good about the Felix 6!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Garmin 6, left a lot to be desired I thought that the instruction booklet was poorly written. It took me two days to set up the Fenix, Trying to link it to my wife's phone for alerts was never achieved. Keeping track of the function of the buttons around the frame made me realize this was not the instrument that I wanted. I returned it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from pulse rate not reliable I Like the watch... especially the battery life, however the pulse rate is unreliable when I'm training which was one of the main reasons I bought the watch. Thought it might have been the positioning of the watch so I watched YouTube videos on the watch and made sure that it was positioned above the wrist.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great deal… great product! Fantastic bargin as the Fenix 8 was being introduced. Saved over 50% off list price!!! Huge Garmin fan. Have worn products since 2015 (Fenix 5, Forerunner 645 Music). The Fenix 6 is an amazing product with valuable features and functions. ImI recall my Fenix 5 has a motion option for the backlight to turn on if I lift my arm… haven’t been able to find it on this one. If anyone can share insight on how to set its make me the happiest guy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing watch! Just wish it had music capabilities I have been using the forerunner 45 for the last year and was recently gifted with the fenix 6 base model as an upgrade. The watch is awesome and I am so excited about the new features. The better battery life and altimeter are my favorite parts so far. The only complaint I have is that the device can't play Spotify music on runs. Based on my research, it seems that every other fenix 6 model (not to mention loads of other watch models) is equipped with this capability. I'm sure there is a good engineering reason, but I am a bit disappointed. If it weren't a gift, I would likely be trading out for another model.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great watch, excellent features This is a fantastic feature rich watch with great battery life. I have used it for running, treadmill running, cardio and yoga. I have only had the watch for a month, so I haven't used all of the features. The only thing I am missing is music storage. I hope it has navigation because I am always getting lost on some routes. Highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome battery life I previously used an Apple Watch for several years but switched to Garmin for better battery life. I will say the Garmin is not nearly as user friendly as the Apple Watch but now that I’ve mostly figured out how to navigate my way through it I like it a lot. The battery life is all that they say it is which makes me really happy, I also like all of the health metrics. My main frustration is that there has been a few connectivity issues between the watch and the app and also the watch is really inaccurate when counting reps for strength training which can be super frustrating. I wish there was a way to just set it to “strength training” and not have it count reps, just measure my heart rate, average calories burned etc the way my old Apple Watch did.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So hopeful, so disappointed! For Christmas my dear wife surprised me with a Garmin watch. I am a new golfer and the watch was supposed to help me with my game. However, after following the instructions and downloading three Garmin apps on my iPhone, it didn’t work. I asked for advice, watched videos and finally decided it was a faulty watch. I sent it back to either fix or refund the $350. Because of Covid it apparently will take 6-8 weeks to get back. I am bummed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great watch! I really do like this watch. Much better than the 910XT. So far. the only downside for me is it is not very intuitive and is difficult to set up. However, once set up and you remember how to access the features (over time), it does become easier. I used the watch for the 1st time in a race, and it performed wonderfully! Even in the inclement weather. I would certainly recommend this to others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fabulous features, face could be much brighter Had the watch for approximately one week. It took that long to set it up. The manual is 58 pages long. The watch has so many fantastic options, it takes a lot to fine-tuning get what you want. The various menus and how do you get to them is somewhat complicated, but once you get used to it, works really well. It takes quite a bit of ingenuity and time to get everything functioning the way you want it. The number of of available faces alone and the ability to customize each face from Garmin IQ is almost mindnumbing. I took it out on a bike ride today and everything worked flawlessly with multiple data points and easy to read phone notifications. Synced with my iPhone without any problem. The only objection is that the face is not bright enough unless you're in bright sunlight. You can increase the brightness of the back light, but you need to turn on the back light to really see the watch face if the watch is in any type of low light/shadow conditions. My old Garmin Fenix was much easier to see in lower lighting. Also, the watch tends to drift over towards the outside of the wrist once strapped on, which makes it more difficult to see while riding a bike without turning the wrist over quite a bit. Also, battery management adjustments will disconnect your phone without telling you and when that happens your customers faces disappear as well. Took me quite a while to figure that out, since it was not mentioned in the manual. All in all, I am quite happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice upgrade I recently upgraded from the Garmin 920xt that I have used for many years. The fenix 6 has all the same basic functions plus a whole lot more. Some of the buttons are in different positions and some of the menus are arranged differently, so it took a little getting used to. Some of the features I like: 1. Much longer battery life. On watch mode, a single charge will last for 2 weeks instead of 2 or 3 days. Using GPS and other features during an activity, it will last for more than a day. So, it easily has enough battery capacity to last for a full Ironman. 2. Activity screens are very customizable. I like that I can choose to display 3 metrics (i.e. HR, pace, distance) and have the most important one (i.e. pace) be in the middle, larger than the other two. Easy to see. 3. The watch face is very customizable. I think there are 3 or 4 metrics that can be shown and anything the watch measures can be displayed on the watch face: steps, HR, altitude, weather, etc. 4. There are a ton of activities incorporated into the watch in addition to the standard swim, bike run: golf, hiking, climbing, etc. 4. You can get notifications: texts, new podcasts, etc. on the watch face without pulling out your phone. 5. Wrist based HR-no more straps. 6. Good looking watch. And, you can buy straps in many different colors and materials online. Easy to switch out; no dealing with pins and tools. The one complaint I have is that there is not available a quick release accessory for triathlon. Unlike my 920xt, I can't quickly remove the watch from the band in T1 and snap it onto my bike and re-attach it to the band in T2. Because of the HR sensor on the back of the watch, it may not be possible to design one of these. There is an available bike mount. The straps are designed to be removed quickly and then you can click the watch into the mount. But, it is not something I would want to be doing in a triathlon transition.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fenix 6 Fenix 6 is good. Only issue is you can't check the time when you are in an activity mode.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product, outstanding service I've had my Fenix 6 for a little over a year. the performance and features * especially battery life * have far exceeded my expectations. Even though the Fenix 7 has been out for over a year Garmin continues to update the 6 with new features. I had a display defect after about a year and Garmin replaced it with a reconditioned unit with zero hassle. Altogether, probably the best and easiest service experience ever. I have a bunch of other Garmin devices like the InReach and power mtb pedals--more and more I'm sold on everything about his brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great looking but FAULTY from day 1 Bought this watch from Makro, charged it fully and already is is faulty, the 1 button (selection button the right of the watch) switches off the watch. Functionality looks great but pretty much useless if you cannt use it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Long battery life but lots of glitches Enjoying the longer battery life but it regularly loses data and is inaccurate- my 12 second mile was a favourite today. Watch is up to date but twice a week, in the open, records an extra mile.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Watch failed in 1 year and 8 months I have been a Garmin watch user since 2017. I had a 735XT for 4 years after which I upgraded to a Fenix 6. I bought the Fenix 6 watch in Dec 2021. It worked great for a year and 8 months and then it died on me. The heart rate was always at 72 bpm. The battery didn’t last more than 2 days for standard use. It used to last 8-10 days without any issues. I am really really disappointed by my Fenix 6 s performance. I called customer service to complain. They first thing they asked me to do is try and change the power source, clean the contact points, and do a soft reset. But that didn’t work. I called back and they said the only thing they can do for out of warranty product is replace it with a certified watch and I need to pay
