The FUJIFILM LTO Ultrium x 1 Cleaning Cartridge comes with a memory chip that stores various information. It has an embedded code which is recognized by the compatible driver's firmware. The drive will no longer accept the cleaning tape and will eject the tape, preventing further use, once the cleaning cartridge has been used to capacity which is 15–50 uses and its depends on the drive.
