Rated 4 out of 5 by from Outstanding unit that we use at one of our remote sites. Very solid and haven't needed to touch it other than to run OS updates. Easy to configure and understand.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product, excellent security features and user interface. There are better models though that offer internal storage for logs. Good for small branch offices

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Solid product. We use this model for about 30 of our branch offices. A little on the pricey side, but you get a lot of features for that price. Support can be somewhat lacking at times, but if you backup your issue with steps you've already taken, you can get bumped to tier 2 or 3 quickly enough. One thing we've always had an issue with on the Fortigates is their ability to pickup their VPN tunnels quickly/automatically when the Internet drops.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall a great firewall. Does need some help of the web interface, but if you understand the command line, you'll be just fine. Very solid.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The content filtering works great and the site-to-site VPNs are fairly easy to setup, the issue I have with them is they don't fail-over correctly and the high memory usage. Overall, they are decent firewalls but can't handle a lot of sessions like other products in the same price range.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from We've overall been very happy with our line-up of Fortigate devices. However, these devices reach connection limit and go into conserve mode on a regular basis. We had to submit a ticket with Fortinet and do some serious customizations to our UTM policies and engines via the CLI to bring memory usage back down to normal.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product for a SMB main office. We used ours for VPN connectivity and web filtering for 3 offices (Point to Point T1's connecting in) and rarely had issues. Approximately 60 users connected out to the internet through the device, and it was reliable.
