Rated 5 out of 5 by from Its Alright I've used this tool for the last 3 years, it works don't get me wrong but it has issues. First off the tone coming out of the Tone Generator is strong, there are no issues with that piece of this in my opinion. The issue is with the probe itself. The entire thing is plastic, and not the strong kind. If it slip out of your hand when you go to put it back in the case or something manages to hit the tip of it in any way the whole tip of the piece crack and the end of it just falls out. I've used about 3 of them now. The speaker goes after about 2 years and if you manage to make it last that long without breaking the pickup on the probe just starts to crackle and get iffy. Sometimes you'll hear the tone sometimes you wont. In my opinion this tool is NOT worth almost $170 dollars and as someone who uses this tool constantly I would change the following. 1. Don't make the tools out of cheap easy to break plastic. 2. Upgrade the speaker inside and the wiring that goes to it (its not built to last) 3. Do some drop testing and durability tests on these things to see for yourself how they'll behave for workers in the field. (and yes I understand they're not meant to be dropped but things happen when your working and stuff falls)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from null I bought one of these a long time ago. It's just a typical toner, not much better than a $30 one. I would highly recommend spending the extra money on a "Fluke Intellitone Pro 200" instead of this one. This one can't tone out connections that are terminated at switches, etc. The Intellitone can. Save your money, buy the "Fluke Intellitone Pro 200" instead, it's worth every extra penny.
