Teacher Necessity!
As a science teacher, I am constantly constructing hands-on manipulatives to use for classroom activities. These items must be durable in order to withstand the constant handling by many students so a laminator is a teacher necessity. The Venus 125 laminator is a workhorse compared to other laminators which I have purchased. I was able to easily laminate 30+ papers one-after-another quickly and without jams or misfeeds. It heats up quickly (less than 1 minute) and operates fairly quietly. The top of the machine gets warm with extended use but not so much that you cannot touch it. Cosmetically, it is attractive - the front panel can be flipped up when not in use and the light color goes with any decor. It does take up a significant amount of desk space 13 inches wide and 21 inches long and must have clearance in the back for the item to exit. Although I was not able to try it, I believe this laminator is capable of laminating wider items. On the rare occasions when I put an item into the laminator incorrectly, it automatically reversed so that i could make an adjustment and re-insert into the machine. I used Fellowes pouches and had very few misfeeds. A bonus is that the machine has an "automatic off" feature when it has not been used for 30 minutes. Excellent product - I highly recommend! Outstanding Laminator for Home or Office Use
Wow, this is a serious laminator! I am a teacher and also craft at home and have done my share of laminating. I love the design of this product, as it will fit with either my school or home office decor. I also like that it is hefty yet not bulky. Though it is not as light as the small personal laminators, it can still be transported fairly easily if I want to take it to school. I appreciate the quick warm up time--it is so much faster than others I have used. It is convenient that it senses the laminating pouch thickness and the user does not have to remember to change settings. It is useful for laminating a variety of items. I mostly use it for printer paper, cardstock, photos, and other printed educational materials. Great Laminator
This is a great laminator. I am a teacher and this is a great machine. It seems to be a very solid machine and it allowed me to laminate a variety of items with ease. Though it is not as light as the small personal laminators, I can transport it fairly easily if I want to take it to school. I loved the quick start up time. I am impressed by the quality of this laminator. Reliable Laminator
This laminator has given me consistent lamination whether it is regular printer paper or construction paper, or whether it was pictures or printed text. No burning smell like other laminators. Heats Up Fast!
This laminator was great. I didn't even have to wait for it to heat up. It was ready inside of one minute which was terrific because I needed my material right away. It hasn't jammed on me and I love that it will automatically shut off because I was in a rush and forgot to turn it off. Get this! You will love it. Amazing lamination
The Venus laminator is a fabulous machine. It is bigger than I expected, but it is also faster and more efficient. The Venus laminator heats up so fast. I was ready to start laminating in an instant. It laminates 8.5 by 11 pages like a champ. It was really nice that the machine automatically detects the thickness of the laminating film because I always forget which thickness I’m using. It sucked in the page and was in and out in an instant with excellent quality. My problem came when I tried to laminate something smaller than a letter sized sheet of paper. Considering that I don’t like to read directions. I tried to feed in the business card sized item to which the Venus kept kicking it back out. So I consulted the directions to find that I needed to have the right sized laminating pouch. So as a PSA, make sure you use the right sized pouch and all will be well! Excellent product
This laminator was warm so quickly that I barely had the pouch ready. I love that it laminates up to A3 size papers. When I made a mistake loading the sheet, the machine reversed it and gave me a chance to correct. I’m very pleased with this laminator. Best laminator I have EVER used!
This laminator is by far the nicest laminator I have ever used! It was so easy to set up and use. It warmed up in only 30 seconds (with no plastic or burnt smell). The lamination went through extremely quickly, but the lamination was thick and durable! It is so large-lipped and even went at an angle with no issue. The only con I saw (a minuscule one) is that when the lamination comes out it does not stay on the laminator well. To combat that issue I simply put a basket on the end and it was perfect. Incredibly modern and effective
As a teacher, having a laminator that is effective, jam-proof, and of high quality is essential. Not only that, but this laminator is modern, easy to use, and durable. Laminator heats up quickly and the paper goes through easily. I haven't had a laminator in the past that adjusts automatically, but this one does. It is sturdy and it allows for multiple thickness levels. Even though it is larger, it is really modern looking which makes it a statement piece on a desk. It laminates quietly and beeps when it is ready. The starter kit comes with everything you need for effective laminating. I have laminated calendars, bulletin board cut outs, papers, and cardstock. All were done with great ease. I am in shock how fast it heats up and how easy it is for all ages to use. My daughter in middle school even used it to laminate her schedule and found it simple. I love how effective, modern looking, high quality, and user friendly this laminator is. Highly recommend. Note: I received this product in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. It's a breeze!
I use the Venus model in my classroom for numerous laminating projects. It heats up so quickly, and the sheets slide through with ease. When I don't load a page properly, it pushes it back out to me, allowing me to reposition the page without jamming. I love this machine and how quickly it laminates. Great Laminator
We laminate many materials at school. We use personal laminators usually and they don't seem to last. I am so thrilled with this laminator. It is sturdy and professional. The heating was almost instant and the sheet went through much more quickly than we are used to. No more having to stand around and wait for the lamination to roll all the way through. Best laminator I have ever used!
I have been an elementary/middle school teacher for over 30 years. I have laminated numerous items throughout my years. This laminator is the ultimate best one I've ever used! It is very quick, efficient, clear and without any air bubbles, every sleeve was completely sealed, and overall very simple to use! I laminated many different sleeves that I received and that I had. Excellent machine
The Venus 125 is a dream to use. The quick warm up means it can be used easily without wasting time waiting to laminate. I love the cold laminate feature and the reverse is a wonderful feature that comes in handy when needed. I love the versatility. Works efficiently and quick, also the compact size is sturdy but also allows you to move to other areas if needed. Great machine! The Venus 125 allows for use of various size mil laminate pouches so you really can do just about anything with this machine. I especially like the anti jamming feature as well as the speed in which it both heats and laminates. You won’t be disappointed. I didn’t expect to love this laminator so much! Best Laminator Yet
Received the Venus 125 laminator recently. Have to say this is by far the best I've used to date. Previous models were loud, jammed often and took over an hour to cool down after laminating just one sheet. This model heats up rapidly and shuts off immediately when hitting the off button. I also like the appearance of the Venus 125. Sleek and easy to use. Definitely recommend this model!

Excellent Lamination Option
