Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as advertised This is a review for the Epson DS-575W II Wireless Color Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. Received the scanner well packaged with no damage. I'll start with the good, it is very compact and fits on the desk well without much fuss and it is pleasing to look at when it is closed. It scans quickly, faster than I'd need it to 95% of the time as I'm a home user. to get it up and running was easy enough plug it into the wall outlet and into the computer with the USB cable or Wi-Fi and download the drivers from Epsom in a few minutes I was up and running. Scan quality is good as expected with the given specs of this unit and I have no complaints as I only scan documents and having the color scans are nice as well given the speed of the scanner. It does scan both sides at the same time and that makes it easier to use as well. Now for the bad, The scanner does not have an Ethernet port without paying extra for it, the USB cable that hooks into the back is proprietary and only 5 or feet long so don't lose the cable if you use it. the scanner will let papers scan slightly crooked sometimes but that could be caused by outside influences and there is a setting in the software that will correct minor errors. In conclusion, This DS-575W II is a good scanner for a home office or small business it can handle a large stack of papers or a single sheet scanning front and back at the same time with good image quality. I'd recommend this scanner to anyone who uses a scanner multiple times a day or need the speed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small but fast and powerful This is a review for the Epson DS-575W II Wireless Color Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. If you need a scanner with a small footprint then this is it. It was very easy to set up from taking it out of the box and getting it attached to my wifi network. The scanner output is very vivid, captures colors well. It has a 50 page auto document feeder, which is fast and and accurate, pages are straight when they are scanned. It can scan 8.5 in width and basically unlimited in length. Great for legal documentation. You can scan to many locations like your phone, tablet, or online cloud storage. This is a great business and personal printer. So many features and uses.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Key tool in my work and personal efficiency This is a review for the Epson DS-575W II Wireless Color Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. This was my first foray into incorporating a dedicated scanner into my home-office workflow and I have been duly impressed. True to their long established reputation, this Epson model allows me to create high quality scans of double-sided pages, quickly and easily. Like many, I’m grateful for today’s technology for decluttering by storing documents in the cloud. I am also a heavy user of a note-taking app (in my case, Evernote), which I also use to store scans of documents, articles, and handwritten notes. The combination of being able to easily scan all my documents and have the Epson included Document Capture Pro software properly file them in the great filing cabinet in the sky (and out of my physical office) is a game changer. The one bummer I was disappointed with this model is that it no longer supports direct integration with Evernote. There’s a workaround of using the legacy version of Evernote to upload, but that’s an added step which I hope an upcoming update will fix. My office is cluttered enough, so I appreciate this model’s neat wireless connectivity, without messy cabling. Scanning has become a breeze. Big step-up of efficiency and clarity from using other slower home-office scanning methods. Those still reliant at home on painfully using your phone to scan: please stop torturing yourself. I love fast double-sided scanning not just for work contracts, memos, etc, but I can do away with all my personal paper bills, invoices, forms etc that I need to keep for possible use one day (though likely never) but I can throw out for now. With this scanner, one can simply touch a button to do an easy quick scan. Or, if desired, finely control the parameters (double-sided, skip blank pages, set the dpi resolution, etc.). You can also save directly to your destination – send to printer or directly to other destinations including SharePoint, Google Drive, your note taking app, or CRM. One can even choose the precise folder where the scans should go. All this can be batched into ‘jobs’, so with your parameters saved, with the press of one button you can have the job run = all your scanning done to your specifications and automatically filed in the proper folder! The app controls make it easy. If you’re already a regular scanner - or can see the advantages of becoming one - I think you too will be quite pleased with how this will improve and speed up your workflow.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Extremely user-friendly This is a review for the Epson DS-575W II Wireless Color Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. This Epson 575 w II Scanner is completely wireless. I could not believe how user-friendly this scanner is. This Epson scanner is extremely easy for me to set up in my home office. In my home office I currently have both a Mac and a PC. The Epson wireless feature is great especially since I am currently working off my phone and IPad a lot these days. The Epson software is user-friendly. The scans are of the utmost quality. The document feeder is reliable. No issues with jams in the document feeder like I have had issues with other scanners. I love that I can feed 50 pages at a time! As someone who scans multiple pages at a time I love this feature. If you are currently in the market for a scanner, I would most definitely recommend that you take a look at Epson DS-575W II Wireless Color Duplex Document Scanner. I believe that the Epson DS-575W II Wireless Color Duplex Document Scanner is currently the best scanner on the market, hands down!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Favorite Document Scanner! This is a review for the Epson DS-575W II Wireless Color Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. The Epson DS-575W II is an easy to use but powerful document scanner. It can easily and quickly scan stacks of documents, up to 50 pages at a time using your computer or smartphone. The documents can be stored locally or to various popular cloud storage. Files can be saved as searchable PDF's and editable Microsoft office documents. The great thing is you can mix different sizes of paper, thicknesses of paper, and even plastic ID cards. The scanner will feed them all through the document feeder and never seems to get jammed. Color, black and white, and grayscale scans all come out great with excellent color, contrast, and resolution. This scanner even makes great scans of photos, but it is recommended to use the optional Epson carrier sheets to protect your pictures from scratches. I really like this Epson document scanner because it is so compact. It easily folds up when not in use to take very little room on your desk and it looks nice. It is quick and simple to open to start scanning. The wireless scanning works well and is easy to connect to the wi-fi network or you can use the included high speed USB cable to connect the scanner to your computer. The Epson software for Windows, Android, and IOS are easy to use, powerful, and have all the settings you typically would need. The scanner can scan both sides of the page simultaneously. It has intelligent features for great professional scans including blank page removal, auto cropping, dynamic skew correction, dirt detection, and even slow speed scanning for paper protection. Scans always come out great! One of the great things about this scanner is that it includes powerful Twain and ISIS driver support so you can scan into other business/photo editing software if necessary. This is a great feature many other scanners leave out. The Epson DS-575W II is a great desktop business scanner or even great for home office or personal use. It is built to be reliable and to be durable and last a long time. It has a duty cycle of 4000 pages a day! It comes with an excellent 3-year warranty. If you are looking for a scanner that is always ready when you need it and has all the features you need, one that scans all your documents quickly and reliably without jamming, and with excellent quality then this is the scanner you need.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent sheet-fed scanner This is a review for the Epson DS-575W II Wireless Color Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. Epson has long been a staple in my home for many years and the DS-575W II does not disappoint. This is a great little scanner & doesn't require much desktop space at all. Setup was a breeze, I was able to download the software online and get things configured in a matter of minutes. Supports WiFi and mobile connectivity so you can wirelessly scan to your preferred device. Output can be saved to a plethora of different file formats and optionally allows you to save to online storage services such as OneNote, Evernote, Google Drive, and others as well. Scans up to 50-pages at a time via the auto document feeder and can also capture both sides of a document in one pass which is super convenient. So far I have not had a single misfeed in a week of heavy usage, and in my experience OCR accuracy seems right on point with other OCR scanning I have done in the past, obviously the better the hardcopy the better the results. This little guy is surprisingly fast too, whips through a stack of pages in no time at all. Scanned output is good quality for a scanner of this size, I've had great results with everything I've scanned thus far from documents to photos to receipts and business cards. Top folds up nicely when not in use and helps protects against dust. Comes with an impressive 3 year warranty with advance exchange and next-day shipping, you really can't go wrong! Highly recommended!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works great “This is a review for the Epson DS-575W II Wireless Color Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.” This scanner arrived well packaged and it was very easy to set up to our computer. I like the size of it, it’s not too big nor too small and fits perfectly on our desk. I’ve used the scanner to scan documents and photos and both have been scanning very well, the quality is great! You can have multiple documents in the tray at once and it scans each one at a good speed. It’s an easy scanner to use and we have really loved it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super Fast And Efficient! “This is a review for the Epson DS-575W II Wireless Color Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.” I love how easy set up was for this scanner. It is really compact and does not take up much space on my desk. The digital software, built into the unit, automatically performs some color correction to each photo and does that fairly well. This scanner also scans negatives, slides and does a wonderful job doing it. The digital software, built into the unit, automatically performs some color correction to each photo and does that fairly well. The scanning speed is super fast I would say about thirty pages a minute. The document-feeder works great, accurately separating pages & feeding them through quickly. I would highly recommend this scanner to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use, great quality This is a review for the Epson DS-575W II Wireless Color Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. This is my favorite scanner. It is really advanced and I haven't found any needs that I have that it doesn’t provide. Its fast, easy to use, setup was easy, and it is compact. Lets start on its Quality: This scanner provides the high quality image that I would expect from an Epson product, and I have not had any jams or funny feeds. Everything has come out straight and it does so quickly. The speed of this scanner is great, the pages roll through smoothly one by one. While it doesn’t carry the same speed as the commercial grade machines, it certainly is more consistent in its image and doesn’t jam like the machine we use at my office. This scans a double sided as fast as i’ve seen any non-commercial size scanner; I’ve not seen any scanner faster inside a home. The scanner installed quickly and easily. I had a hiccup in the initial setup, but it was most certainly because there was some confusion between my old scanner and this one. I uninstalled the old scanner, and it immediately started working. The desktop software is easy to use, and lets me save the document in so many different ways to include to the local drive, network drive, directly to an email, or directly to a cloud drive like google docs or microsoft one drive. I find the direct save super convenient. The mobile app is also amazing. I can easily scan single page or duplex directly to my phone or desired location. It makes the scanner very convenient. Another great thing about this scanner is its size. It is small to begin with, and folds up to take up a very minimal amount of real estate on my desk. In addition to its small size, its wifi capabilities allow it to be placed virtually anywhere. I keep it on my desk, but have thought of changing its location, because it would be as easy as unplugging from the power outlet, moving it, and plugging it back into power. I can also access the scanner from multiple machines because it is on WiFi. The only feature that I can’t seem to figure out is NFC. In the photos it appears there is some near field communications capabilities, but I can’t seem to find any documentation on it. Also, the scanner I have does not have an NFC symbol on it, as it appears in the photos. Even so, I’m not sure what I would use the NFC for. The scanner connects to WiFi and seamlessly to my phone through the Epson App. I’m not sure what I would be able to do through NFC that I can’t already do on my app. I’ve been mostly working from home since the beginning of COVID, and I wish I could have gotten my hands on this scanner sooner. I find it to be high quality and efficient. I would recommend this scanner to others due to its quality, speed, size, and ease of use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I’m in love! This is a review for the Epson DS-575W II Wireless Color Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. I work for a company that 100% paperless. Does that mean that we don’t get papers still? Nope. When we go to court and have other meetings we still get papers that we have to scan into the database. It’s not just a couple papers here and there-it’s a lot of papers! I was using my printer which has a single scan bed. It got time consuming cause I was spending couple hours a day scan one doc then having to take it off the bed then scan the next and etc. This scanner has been a life saver! Installation was super easy. I have it loaded it both on my personal MacBook and on my work Dell computer. Installation was quick and easy. It doesn’t come with a cd but they do have everything listed on the paper they send. Instructions for install are clearly defined and I was up and running in no time. I do run it wirelessly on both computers. There is the option to hard connect with an Ethernet cord in the back in case you don’t have a Wi-Fi device. When it came to scanning, I was in heaven. I could put 20+ documents in there at one time and it would scan it in less than a minute. I’ve had no issues with paper jams or unclear pictures. Since my documents are black and white, I can’t tell you how color scans. All I know is that there are no blurry issues with my scans which is huge since half of my documents are court documents and they have to be clear when scanning for audits. I don’t have to stand there and flip out each and every paper after a scan. With this scanner I’ve been able to be more productive not wasting time. It honestly works better than the scanner at work that they paid thousands for. The other nice thing about having this scanner is I don’t have to drive 40 miles to work just to scan a document. I can do it from comfort of my home. With everyone going paperless, this is well worth it. It’s a time saver as well as super user friendly. I’ve never had a scanner that works so flawlessly and easily.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from FANTASTIC PRODUCT “This is a review for the Epson DS-575W II Wireless Color Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review.” I have never owned a straight up scanner, usually scanner/printer combos. However, this is an AWESOME device and it really surprised me. It scans as fast as scanners print and takes multiple pages. No documents get hung up. It's truly an amazing device that I needed and love. I'm using it in many different areas of my day, work, and also to keep up with paperwork, because you can search scanned documents. I would definitely go out and purchase this device if you are looking for a well built device and / or scanner. EXCELLENT product. Thank you Epson.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A powerful compact scanner for the office This is a review for the Epson DS-575W II Wireless Color Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. First, the scanner came incredibly well packed. All of the pieces that had the potential to shift/move during shipping were either taped down or secured in a styrofoam mold. This may be a small thing, but the tape Epson uses is folded over on one end so that it's easy to pull off. This was a really nice addition as I've gotten things in the past were taking off the packaging material is a huge hassle. The setup was straightforward and took maybe 10-20 minutes. The longest part was downloading the driver software and installing it on my computer (Windows 11 laptop). A nice feature of the setup is that you can do it wirelessly. There's no need to connect the scanner to your computer. My job requires scanning a large number of documents and so having a feed based scanner that can also scan both sides of pages is a huge plus. Prior to getting this Epson scanner, I was using a Brother scanner. The Brother scanner was "eh." It did the job, but it wasn't particularly easy to use or work with. The Epson DS-575W II has several features that make using it incredibly easy: - auto feed - adjustable width (this is very useful if you're scanning different size documents such as insurance cards or notepad size pieces of paper) - wireless scanning (I know another review mentioned that the wireless feature wasn't working for them, but I had no issues with it. It connected to my computer right away). - adjustable paper stop The auto feed is a great feature because I don't have to worry about setting it up each and every time. But, if I do want to go in and adjust the settings, it's super easy to launch the app. Inside the app you have a ton of options, see image below. The one I appreciated was being able to adjust the scan resolution. Sometimes I need very detailed scans, and others I just need to it be a basic scan.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Finally a scanner with a working ADF! This is a review for the Epson DS-575W II Wireless Color Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. My entire adult life I have had to own a laser printer for quality printing, and a multi-function fax/scanner/copier (MFP) printer to scan documents such as receipts, business cards, and other important papers. I've tried dedicated scanners both with and without automatic document feeders and they've just never performed well for me. They usually required cumbersome software and forget using the ADF as they always jammed. I always found myself taking my receipts, cutting them down to fit a sheet of paper, and scotch-taping them to the paper and manually scanning each page. Time consuming and annoying, but the only way to reliably scan my documents. Then comes the Epson DS-575W II and I'm a new man. I usually have to scan receipts of all different sizes as well as standard letter size documents into a single PDF document. The Epson scanner allows me to take my stack of similarly sized receipts, place them in the ADF, and scan them into a single file; then once that is done I can take the next set of similarly sized documents and have them all scanned into the same file as the first set. Scanning is much faster, and I no longer need to stand next to a flatbed scanner and scanning one page at a time. What used to take 30 minutes now takes 5, I am in love with this scanner! The footprint of this unit is small, and it doesn't require a physical connection to a computer to perform scans as it uses WiFi, though USB is still an option. You can even configure the scanner to scan to cloud services.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Scanner, Software is Iffy This is a review for the Epson DS-575W II Wireless Color Duplex Document Scanner that I received free of charge to do a beta test and review. Out of the box experience was visually pleasing. It’s got a small form factor and is visually aesthetically pleasing - the automatic document feeder folds shut securely and the buttons have a good, simple iconography so you know what does what. Setup via USB was easy - this doesn’t come with a CD or anything in the box (nor any instructions at all! But that may be because this is a beta test device - ymmv) but downloading the software from Epson’s website was easy enough to find and install. USB connected, and the software discovered it immediately and I was able to scan within a minute or two of install. (It took me longer to find something to scan!) The quality is really good, and the software gives you a lot of control over DPI, duplexing, and a bunch of other “nice to have” options, including the ability to Remove Punch Holes. Image formats for output are PDF, JPG, PNG, TIFF, “Multi-TIFF” or even a Searchable PDF. Impressive. What stops me from giving this a five star rating is that trying to connect to Wifi is an exercise in frustration. I’m a IT professional and the software as downloaded does not come with any way to get you access to the configuration. This required a very long phone call to their support team who seemed very confused as to what I was asking for. Finally, I was able to get enough clues to find the wifi config. You have to dig deeper into their website to download a configuration tool, then connect your laptop to the *printer’s* wifi connection. The tool will let you configure it via a WebUI from the early 2000’s, and there you can finally access the configuration pages. (They also, once you have it configured, can be accessed through the webGUI via IP address in your browser) Overall - the device was a hassle to set up wirelessly, but as a USB device alone it was superb, I loved it and I look forward to it replacing my old Brother MFP scanner which has reached end of life.
