We needed to cut cost so I tried Smartpro 3000 at half the the cost of UPS I have have serveral power outages and no down time txhe software is alot lest complicated to use also.

It does what it says, although seems to be deprecated.
This effectively turns a pair of BP48V24-2U external battery packs into a single unit *electrically* by connecting them in parallel.
A BP48V24-2U is two parallel strings of four 12v 9Ah batteries, for a total of 48v 18Ah. This splitter passively combines two and presents a single 48v 36Ah battery to your 48v Tripp Lite UPS.
As there are no electronics involved, I imagine hooking this up to a pair of units of different age would be bad, as well as using it with anything other than a pair of BP48V24-2U. I'm guessing this is why newer 48V UPS modules only mention compatibility with a single BP48V24-2U, and why runtime calculators no longer have the option for two.
My only personal gripe is the price: it's far too expensive for a trio of Anderson Powerpole SB175 connectors and a couple feet of 4awg wire.

Great addition to the battery backup main unit!
This is a replacement for one of three Tripp Lite battery backups in our server rack. The previous one lasted a great 10 years before it finally pushed up some digital daisy's and wouldn't even turn on anymore. This is a great lifesaver when your company is out in "no-man's-land" and your power is a bit iffy at times. Thanks a lot Tripp Lite.
