The standby INTERNET900U UPS system provides reliable battery backup and AC power protection against blackouts, brownouts, overvoltages, surges and line noise that can damage valuable electronics or destroy data. The 12-outlet 120V battery backup is ideal protection for your home office, media center or commerce components, including computers, routers, printers, NAS drives, HDTVs, Blu-ray players, game consoles, media players, DVRs and audio receivers.

Backup support allows you to work through short power failures and gives you enough time to safely save files and shut down your system in case of a prolonged blackout. Backup time varies according to load, but the INTERNET900U should keep an energy-efficient desktop computer with small LCD monitor powered as long as 41 minutes. During normal operation, incoming utility power keeps the replaceable internal battery fully charged, so backup power will always be available.

Six 5-15R outlets provide battery backup and surge protection for your computer, monitor and other crucial components. The other six 5-15R outlets provide surge suppression only for printers, speakers and other desktop equipment regarded as non-essential during a blackout.

By meeting strict EPA efficiency guidelines, this ENERGY STAR-certified UPS system helps you save money and energy. A high >98% line mode efficiency rating reduces BTU emissions, energy consumption and, ultimately, your energy costs.

A 316-joule surge suppression rating protects connected components from the harmful effects of power surges. Dual network data line surge suppression jacks protect a wired peripheral from dangerous surges on a single 10/100Base-T or dial-up network connection.

This USB port connects the INTERNET900U to a computer running Tripp Lite's free downloadable PowerAlert software to enable safe unattended file saves and system shutdown in case of a prolonged power failure. USB cable is included. Battery independent restart ensures automatic UPS power-up without user interaction after lengthy power outages, even when batteries are expired and require replacement.

Various electromagnetic and radio sources found in virtually every home and business can cause disruptive interference on the AC line. Known as EMI (electromagnetic interference) and RFI (radio frequency interference), this line noise is a common cause of performance problems and can lead to incremental hardware damage, data corruption and audio/video transmission problems. The INTERNET900U incorporates technology that filters out disruptive line noise so that it won't affect your equipment.

The UPS remains silent in both line and battery backup modes. The alarm sounds only to warn you of a low battery or fault condition. Front-panel LEDs indicate operating mode, low- and replace-battery, overload and fault conditions.

The space-saving ABS housing fits on a desktop, shelf or anywhere else convenient to your workstation or home theater. Keyhole mounting tabs on the rear allow easy wall-mount installation. The five-foot power cord with NEMA 5-15P plug connects to any compatible AC outlet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good and bad Has been doing a good job. Dislike that you can't turn it on without it making the harsh warning sound. Power went out the other night and so did the computer system, so I guess the internal battery has failed which is pretty typical no matter what brand I've used.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Satisfied This UPS has been very reliable, and is reasonably priced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from No Issues We use several surge protectors in our clinic. This was recommended by our local computer store. It is easy to set up. We had a few power glitches due to our electric company working on the lines but the unit never failed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far so good Bought this to temporarily replace a larger UPS that had gone out and required repair. Seems to run the computer equipment load fine, but software does not indicate how much load is being drawn. Has not yet had to carry the load during a power outage. Battery is easy to replace.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Adequate for need but shorter run time. Product arrived as expected, easy to register the warranty online. Charged fully for 2 days then did a capacity test. All worked fine except at a 240w draw, unit only lasted 5 minutes 10 seconds before shutting down. Included paperwork said 40+ minutes at 50% capacity. Battery may last longer after it's used a few times. Unit should work fine for my needs, just need to make sure the computer is shut down right away, no waiting to see if power is going to come back on. Have had good luck with TrippLite previously so that's why I purchased again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice drop-in replacement for battery-killing UPS I bought this to replace an otherwise similar UPS from a different brand because I was sick of the other UPS wearing out my batteries. I'm looking forward to the battery lasting much longer now that I have a line-interactive UPS. Best thing about this UPS: the wall-mount holes on the back are _exactly the same distance apart_ as they were on the other UPS, so I didn't have to take out one of the old screws and put in a new one. that _can't_ be a coincidence, can it?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product I got this product due to TrippLite's reputation. I didn't realize it didn't have a replaceable battery, but it's lightweight, and very functional for basic use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LIght weight for how much protection I like the room between each outlet. Makes it easy to plug in larger adaptors. Hooked it up to the PC and it was easily detected in Windows 8.1. I wish that I didn't need a screwdriver for battery replacement. Great unit, great price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy installation and so far so good I just purchased and installed this product. The installation was as easy as it gets. I feel more at ease knowing that my PC is now plugged into a UPS. The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 stars is that I do not know how this will perform in an actual power outage. If that happens, and this product performs as I expect it will, I will gladly revisit this review.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Without Potential Failure, How to Review? I have no clue whether or not these function as intended. Thankfully they have not been needed. They arrived promptly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Heavy but great and durable The only thing I have to say that is negative about this is that it is very heavy, but being a battery, I expect that. I like how it has a nice long cord, and the buzzer for when power is cut is loud enough that you can definitely hear it and act before losing power to your devices and computers. I really like this product, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality battery back up surge protector.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would buy this product again and again. I purchased this UPS again to replace the same unit that finally failed after more than 10 years of service protecting phone equipment against power surges. This unit does a more than adequate job for a great price and a great warranty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Light weight and portable for the VAs I was surprised how light the unit was. I wished that you would not have to unscrew screws to replace the battery. That is my only issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worked the first day it was installed! Shortly after I installed the Tripp unit--on the same day it was delivered, our power went out and the unit did its job. We feel more protected having this connected to our computers. Also like that it is small and compact.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not a big fan of this product and its capabilities Sadly this product didn't hold up for us and we had to return it for warranty replacement. I was also disappointed by the short amount of time it can provide 110v in the event of a power failure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Working Great, Even had a power outage This is used to provide even power to my Internet Modem, Router, Network Attached Storage and Video Doorbell. We already had a short power outage, less than five minutes, and all the equipment plugged into this unit stayed up and running. We were experiencing other internet outages and I'm wondering if my old power supply was not working correctly and causing the drops. We have had solid internet since installing the Tripp-Lite.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from box works-software issue Using it to prevent satellite tv box from resetting every time there is a power glitch. Box itself works, but the software to disable the alarm doesn't work and you have not helped me fix it.
Date published: 2019-11-03T00:00:00-04:00
Rated 5 out of 5 by from I would recommend this unit as a backup unit. The product is nice for the number of plus that it has both on backup and surge. The only complaint I have is that the mounting holes in the back are desinged for it to be monted vertily. The mounting slots should be mad that you can mount the unit both vertily or horizontal. The slots should be in an L or X design. I haven't had a reason to test the backup (no power failure yet). Just have computer monitor and modem/WyFi on it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent product/ excellent customer service I have had wonderful success with the UPS 550VA. I had what I thought was a problem and called customer service. The error was with our purchasing department not verifying the amount of wattage we needed for the battery back up side. Customer service went over every item we had plugged into the battery backup side and within minutes found that there was too much voltage plugged in. I was able to immediately fix my problem. Thank you to your customer service for friendly, and prompt help. My Tripp-Lite works wonderfully.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very reliable product I have been using this product for over 1 1/2 years and it has worked flawlessly. Living in Florida we have may lightening strikes and power is known to brownout or go out altogether. Needless to say this Tripp Lite has saved me from some expensive repairs and or replacements. When the life on this one is over I will be back to replace it with another Tripp Lite that's for sure. Great product!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It's there when the power fails. What I want of a UPS is that it be quiet, unobtrusive and there when I need it. This UPS does that for our workstations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value in a brand name product Modern computers and flat panel monitors no longer require large UPS backups due to their lower power requirements. A 550VA/300W unit is more than sufficient to support the above configuration. The Tripp-Lite reputation and a great price make these units a winning combination.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great product! Just set it up nand forget about it. Very easy to set up. You only have to follow the instructions to perform the required downloads. It has prevented computer damage due to small power fluctuations that would cause my computer to shut down. It also safely shuts down your computer if it is left unattended during a sustained power outage. A very valuable feature is if you have have phone service through a cable company you can maintain phone service for a long period if the power is out in an emergency situation.

Due to the number of devices, I need both a surge protector and a battery backup with the space to handle everything. NOTHING else on the market offers that. Coupled with the Real World Guarantee that Tripp-Lite offers (that other only allude to), this makes this Tripp-Lite not only the best choice, but pretty much the only choice!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as advertised. Having had problems with previous units of a different brand not shutting down my PC when the power went out, I was very pleased that the software that comes with this unit works great and is easy to install. Just after I set it up, our power went out and the software went into action and kept the computer running as it shut it down. I was fed up with my former unit letting the PC go off without shutting down properly, which is very harmful to the PC and your valuable files. This unit did not let that happen.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A low cost solution to a problem It was purchased to solve a problem of lost settings on a piece of equipment following short power cuts, which was proving to be an irritant. On testing, it worked perfectly satisfactorily, but as is the way with these things, I haven't had a real power cut since installation of the unit. The low cost made the concept viable and attractive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This product has a small footprint and weighs much less! This product takes less space than any of my previous UPS Backups. I love the extra outlets and the spacing of the end outlets allows for AC converters to be plugged in without covering more than one outlet. The attachments for the phone lines are on top where they are easy to get to. The biggest advantage is that is not as heavy as other products I have owned for the same purpose. The price is right too!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does exactly what it's advertised to do Been using this now for a home server for about 3 months and I'm very satisfied with it. After several years without a UPS we had a storm which knocked out our power and I ended up spending hours recovering data to the server after it shut down during a backup. The backup failed and corrupted some files. I'll not go without a UPS again. My one question is how long will the battery go before I need to replace it or the UPS. My UPS for many years ago ran for about a year before the battery up and died with no notice. The little green light said it was kept charged but when the power went out the battery died after about 90 seconds. I'll wait on this one to see how long it lasts.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from EXCELLENT FOR PRICE I use this UPS for my Router and Cable modem. I live in Florida and we experience power hits that are quick. I prefer to keep my devices safe by using a UPS. This prevents me from burning up a router.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Product this is great product for the price; it has saved my system from several power outages; the only thing i dont like is that it makes an annoying beep when its just on the battery back up; i wish it only beeped when the battery was about to die vs it beeping every minute or whatever; other than that this is a great product especially for the price and recommend it to anyone.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great UPS for small office systems We utilize this unit for all of our small office deployments. Not only do we use it for desktops but also networking hardware at our demarcation points. It's compact size and ease of installation keeps IP phones systems and Internet going during short outages and brown outs. It is an integral part of our business support and fiber to the home solutions.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works! We are a small manufacturing company in a rural part of town. There are plenty of power outages, brownouts, and spikes, therefore I have a Tripp-lite desktop on all workstations. Tripp-lite UPS's work and they work well. The higher the VA rating, the better protection you will get. I have UPS's from 350va to 550va and they all work great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great little UPS We bought this UPS for a small circuit that has electronics that are really sensitive to voltage fluctuations. We've had no issues since we put it in place and we were losing circuit cards once a month before we installed it. This thing really has been a blessing and we will look for other opportunities to use it when we can!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tripp-Lite - the best and safest component to have! This Tripp-Lite component is just one of many that I use on a daily basis here in my Recording Studio, my live rehearsal venues, and in my personal computer setups. Tripp-Lite components are key to saving your studio projects or anything on your computers in all environments. There have been instances of unannounced power outages as well as the voltage spikes from many sources, some even naturally caused. I highly, highly recommend to anyone to have a few of these Tripp-Lite components installed and in use daily. Definitely a project saver!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I refer Tripp Lite to my friends often since buying the UPS. Northern California resident dealing with lots of power outs from the power company PG&E. Often on a generator. Got it to protect my equipment incase of an outage and have a single connection to the generator. It cleanly powers my audio system, led tv, led lights, and a couple other devices. No high pitched whining from the unit like some surge protectors do. Not crazy heavy or cumbersome. 10/10 product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Tripp-Lite a dependable Product. After 8 years I had to replace one of my dependable Tripp-lites that protectes my desktop PC's. I was pleased to see the upgrades such as a USB option for my laptop and other products. It was easy to set up and is working like the other Tripp-Lite top notch products that I have had in the past. Tripp Lite has protected my PC's for years and I can't imagine even considering another product. Way to go Tripp-Lite

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Seems to be doing the job We haven't had a storm-caused power outage since I started using the unit, but everything stayed on (two computers, wireless router, modem, monitor) when I pulled the plug on the Tripp-Lite as a test. I suspect that it has mitigated some power flickers, which normally cause one or both PCs to reboot; we've had plenty of thunderstorms when such flickers are common, and both PCs have stayed up 24/7. Wish I'd sprung for a UPS years ago.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very functional Aside from a lack of directions (you have to hold down the on/off button until it beeps), this is a perfectly functional UPS for any low power or short term needs. It has more than enough outlets and can even take my laser printer without complaining.
