Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Well We've needed something like this in our office for some time as we all have laptops and may not always be able to connect to the Dymo to allow it to be used. This makes our lives much easier! Set up was simple with the directions provided.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from You CAN use this for larger networks. Connect via IP with a browser! The application to set the print servers up from DYMO only allows for IP address and subnet to be added to the device. However, if you log into the device via a browser and the IP address, you can then put in a gateway as well. You just have to get the DHCP address from the application in order to connect.I saw a couple of comments posted here about not working with larger environments and thought I would let everyone know this. All of ours went on the blink once for no reason. We had to factory reset them all. My hospital works with Athena and they primarily use DYMOs for their work flow. This print server was one of the ways to network them all at our site.Cheers!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from These print servers are easy to setup but unfortunately they have a high failure rate. We purchased 4 of them and 2 of those were replaced by DYMO tech support. One of those was replaced TWICE! We had two different issues with them. 1-It would drop off the network with no warning. 2-It would no longer recognize there was a printer connected to the USB port. We finally gave up after 4 months and installed a LabelWriter printer at each computer where it was needed. Luckily the printers are not too much more expensive than the print servers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This server was extremely easy to set up and works without issue. Our users have always wanted a way they could all use the label printer without having to sit at a dedicated machine. Installed this, and now everyone in the area uses it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works as advertised Just a note about setting the default gateway -- it can't be set from the application that installs from the CD but it can be set from the web interface.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works in large networks! The print server got updated so that it works in large networks with multiple subnets! When you are setting a static IP you can now configure a default gateway as well. The firmware update for this is available on the support page if you happen to have an older unit. http://sites.dymo.com/Support/Pages/ProductDetails.aspx?ProductID=1750630%28DYMO%29

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Very limited device for a Large LAN The device works well in a singe subnet LAN environment. We were not aware this would not work in a multiple subnet environment. The description of the device and the manual do not mention this limitation. I had to find out by searching through the FAQ when I realized during configuration that I could not configure a manual gateway. This needs to be stated up front. Hoping we can return this item for a full refund.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from DO NOT BUY IF USING MULTIPLE SUBNETS This was purchased for a small department of a larger company. The company has several IP address ranges that are in use and unfortunately, per tech support, the device can only work on one subnet. This is strange as most devices allow you to enter a default gateway that would allow the device to be accessed by multiple subnets, but for whatever reason, this device does not. Needless to say, we will be returning it.
