Rated 5 out of 5 by from Reliable This dry contact I/O accessory is one of those unglamorous pieces that makes integration work actually possible. I needed to tie our UPS systems into the building management system for automated shutdown sequences, and this little module saved me from having to spec custom relay panels. The additional inputs let me monitor door sensors and temperature alarms, while the relay outputs trigger everything from generator transfers to HVAC shutdowns during power events. Installation into the SmartSlot was literally plug-and-play, and once configured it's been rock solid for 18 months. It's not sexy and most people won't even know it's there, but if you're building any kind of automated response system or need your power infrastructure talking to other building systems, this accessory is absolutely worth it. Beats the alternative of hiring an electrician to wire custom relay logic every single time.
