Rated 5 out of 5 by from terrible product Batteries drain within a couple minutes of moderate use. My 18 volt battery is way better. Don’t buy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poor design I was having trouble figuring out what this charger was doing, it kept not charging batteries and using a solid red light to indicate that depleted batteries were full. Looked at the manual, but nothing helpful there. Then I accidentally found a random YouTube video with 200k views (! indicating that you have to be careful to fully click in a battery to get this thing to work. Used at least 4x competitor's systems and never seen anything like this. Just plain bad design, and the comment section of the video was riddled with folks thinking there was something up with the battery pack and working on RMAs and the like. A few people said they had contacted Dewalt but were brushed off

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dewalt DCB115 stopped working in 5 minutes Poor product. Got a Dewalt chain saw for Christmas. Two days later plugged the charger in and placed the 60 volt tlex battery into it. The charger quit working in less than 5 minutes. I DO NOT recommend this charger.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesnt work - only if you press down on it - Flaw It only work if you apply downward pressure onto the battery into the charger. Design Flaw. I am calling warranty return now - I though it was me for months, and I borrowed a different one and its works perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Charger. FAST. I have (4) of these chargers wall mounted to a piece of 1x8. I use them for my larger batteries and haven't had any trouble. *I have (3) others that go on the road with me. I had one fail a year ago but that's the only DeWalt charger that I've had fail out of about 12 of them. DCB101/ DCB102/ DCB107 (Lots)/ DCB112/ DCB115. *I also have (4) DCB107 units mounted on the same board. I use those to charge my 12-volts and my 20-volt 1.5 & 2 AH batteries. No trouble with any of them. Just leave about 1-inch in between each unit for air flow. Mine are wired directly to the wall outlets. No surge strips or splitters. *Click the battery in tight and they work great. (Seriously, why is that a thing. Do people turn on light switches half way and I don't know about it? Of course you need to click the battery in tight for the connections to make contact and for the battery to charge.)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Will cook your battery Just hot if the phone with dewalt. No thermistor projections so if you leave a battery plugged in, it will destroy the battery. Battery is 4 months old and I have to buy a new one. Recommendation was take it off as soon as light stops flashing. This is 1950s technology.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Battery Operated Hedger I purchased my Dewalt hedger last month. I love it. It operates for long periods of time without having to recharge the battery. It is long & cuts more judges. I previously bought another brand & it didn’t last a season

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Temperamental I have had problems similar to others. Went so far as to obtain a warranty replacement. [Thanks, Dewalt] Couldn’t figure out if the problem was with the battery or charger. What I seem to have figured out (I hope) is the charger seems not to start actually charging unless the battery charge is mid to low. Sometimes the charge light will flash even when it is not actually charging. The best indicator that it is charging is the charger will get warm. Hope this is helpful. I love the DeWalt saw and string trimmer I have. Just have to tolerate this charger craziness I guess.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fails to charge batteries brand new out of the box I placed batteries on this and they seem to charge--the lights blink and then eventually stop like they should. However, I noticed when I use those batteries they don't last very long compared to when charged on other chargers. I tried a 9 AH battery recently and it completed in about 20 minutes. When I pushed the battery charge indicator on the battery it still showed 1 bar out of three, so it is clear this charger isn't doing anything. I'm disappointed in the quality of this product, DeWalt. I have a lot of other DeWalt products and have never had problems with them like this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from DeWalt DCB115 12v/20v max Lithium ion charger Lithium ion charger As part of a set or a DeWalt XR brushless Blower As a gift given to me November 2019. Used one summer season light use and charger no longer charges my battery ... Expensive gift to begin with and cannot justify the expensive Replacement charger after one season of use .... Nice while it lasted, but not for the long-haul, I am extremely disappointed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from solid charger works quick So far this has worked great and charges by 20V batteries faster than my Bosch charger. Typical good quality build you expect from Dewalt. Batteries slide in very easy, almost too easy! my other chargers kind of "click" into place, these just slide in... no problem

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stopped charging I have a DCB115 that I use with my Dewalt batteries. ( 2ah and 5 ah). It has recently stopped charging all of my batteries. I only leave the charger plugged in when charging and this has been fine. It’s not very old as the date of manufacture is 2021. I do have a DCB101 charger that dose work very well with a manufacture dat of 2015.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Battery dosen't release from 20v - 18v adapter Lowes no longer carries 18v batteries or chargers so I bought a 20v to 18v adapter with charger and 2 20v batteries to use on my 18v tools. The 20v batteries will not release from the adapter. They have to be pried lose. Not a good product for $119.00

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 20V MAX upgrade for 19V Tools I purchased this kit (charger with two batteries 20VMAX XR Lithium Ion) over a year ago as an upgrade to my 19V tools and to see how well I liked the 'new' extended battery life. Well, it's been a full year and since that Time I have purchased Two replacement 19V kits and use this only to power my 19v flashlight. The batteries do not last near as long as the 19V and when they go dead, that's it. No time to send someone for a replacement if not already in hand. I am have not got the latest greatest (replacement for XR) because I'm afraid of the same poor performance. I completetly ditched my Makita battery power set (4 tools total) for the performance of the 19V and have been pleased for years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stopped Charging After One Use DCB 115 Charger came with 20V DeWalt Chain Saw (which btw is great so far). Stopped charging almost immediately. Red light comes on 'solid' immediately indicating fully charged which it is not. Assumed bad battery so tried another battery from my drill set and same thing. Tried neighbors charger and all good. I live in St. Louis and the closest DeWalt service center is 300 miles away in KC! Have always been big fan of DeWalt but inability to get service is problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall a good charger! I purchased this charger from Amazon on Feb 8, 2018. The dewalt dcb115 will charge the 20v max-4ah (dcb204) in about an hour. I tested a 20vMax-4ah with about two bars on the status indicator charged in about 30 to 40 minutes. The flexvolt 20v max-6ah (dcb606) took about 1 hour while the flexvold 20v max-9ah took around 2 hours to charge. The charger is quiet but gets hot. Overall it's good.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Junk As a DIYer this charger would not charge a battery after only about 10 uses, After reading other reviews I would have to say that Dewalt is knowingly allowing this problem to continue.
