I tried an adaptor on the computer with a C port and USB port so I can attach other USB items. The monitor will not work or recognize the C port to C port connection on the adapter. So I bought a monitor I cannot use

This monitor and its predecessors have been the best since introduced. Now lighter. Have two used to provide large work area using separate apps on each screen or have multiple spreadsheets or multiple documents open to support analysis of data or comparison of documents. Recommended

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Bright, but not as sharp as I would have thought The screen is nice and bright but I don't like that you can see the space between pixels, It creates a "screen door" look to the onscreen image. The bezel is thin and the monitor looks sleek but the image quality isn't what I would have expected for the price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Proper marking and placement would be recommended HUB USB ports do not work well with many devices. Primarily the most common of peripherals: Wireless Keyboards, Mice, and Printers. The daisy chain monitor system is not well labeled and the loss of a display (HDMI/DP) because of the USB-C connection is also not something. There should be well marked ports for input and output. Underside ports are difficult to service when troubleshooting devices.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great monitor, but I don't love the new stands Got two of these, I've always been a fan of 16:10 resolution. Great monitors so far. Dell monitors I've had over the years have always been good. The only thing I really don't like about this one is the new stand design - it's just too wobbly. My desk is light and is on carpet, may not be an issue with a heavier desk on a hard surface but still. I've probably had 4-5 different Dell monitor types before and this is the first time I've even thought about stand stability. I've put some big freezer gel packs on top of the stand in the back to at least dampen the vibration some. Otherwise it wobbles for a few seconds after bumping into the desk or bouncing your foot. Will definitely be looking for some other, more stable stands, maybe an older Dell stand, I think it should still fit the mount.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am addicted to 16:10 screens!!! This is my fifth Dell 24" 16:10 screen. My first one was purchased maybe 10 years ago and my parents have that one for daily use. They are in their upper 80's and read daily digital news papers every day with it. I have two monitors side by side at work that are used 6 days a week. They have some years on them but I love them compared to the 16:9 screens that my employer supplies my fellow workers. I bought my own monitors just for my satisfaction after using 16:9 screens. I upload images to online internet listings and do a lot of Excel spreadsheets. I just purchased a U2421E for home to finally set up a side by side for personal use. I have been looking at the 30" Dell 16:10 screens for several years as I wanted something bigger so I could have a spread sheet on one side and my online bank screen on the other side. Able to do this with my one 24" screen in Windows 10 but it was awkward and small. With the prices of the larger Dell 16:10 so high even with sales, I went with a second monitor. The color is very good and I do have a color calibrator at home as I do tweak photos for 16 X 20 prints. Lots of ports but I also have plenty of ports on my old Dell 8920 XPS desktop that still works great after 5 years. It cost manufacturers more to use 16:10 screens than 16:9 screens but I hope Dell keeps this model going for years. Very few 16:10 offerings.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Versatile Monitor Moving from a notebook computer, the UltraSharp Dell monitor is nice. It has lots of real estate to have multiple windows open so I can read from one document and type it onto another. The HUB is working great. I have a little speaker plugged in that daisy chains to ear buds and a mic. I also have a camera plug into the Hub in case I have to do one of those Zoom calls. My only wish is that I would have ordered the monitor that swivels horizontally.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hard to find 16:10 Aspect Ratio This monitor replaced a P2419H and while they are both IPS panels the U2421E has noticeably better color reproduction and deeper blacks. Having the equivalent of a built-in dock is nice as long as your machine can work with 90W of power output. My Dell laptop really needs 130W to work properly so it downclocks a bit unless I also connect the charger. I really wish Dell would make a version of this that could output the 130+ watts some of their higher end laptops need.

I have reached out the customer service and they have been extremely slow to respond. Very disappointed to that I am missing items and with customer service- beware that support is extremely slow to respond and take action!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not worth the wait Purchased two of these to replace two 27" 16:9 displays that were an inefficient use of desk space. Didn't mind the reduced resolution, particularly given these were more for a work PC (AutoCAD, Excel, Word, other old engineering programs that do not benefit from 4K), though did have a personal MacBook Pro connected via dock. Both monitors had what I considered to be poor edge lighting, with one having an excessive edge light "burst" at the lower left corner. Was noticeable and annoying depending on what was on the screen. Waited several months for these and didn't want to wait another several months for replacement so returned both for refund. For $400+ each, expected better from Dell. Also have a gripe about how close rear ports are to the back. The DisplayPort cables I used were locking type that require pressing down on the connector while simultaneously pulling out to remove. This was extremely difficult to do once the cable was clicked into the port on these monitors. Many monitors have this issue, but these were the worst I've experienced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from U2421E is a great monitor dock but no ability to start a closed laptop. The U2421E is a great monitor. The hub is great but there is no way to start a closed laptop from the Monitor like you would with a normal dock. Dell needs to make a non dock version of this monitor at a lower price. The 16:10 ratio is the standard in our office.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from U2421E replacing old U2408WFP Ultrasharp Looks comparable to my existing ultrasharp models and I have several dating back 10+ years! Compared to my U2408WFP this has a thinner frame and is much lighter. However, I am not a fan of the manual controls located behind the monitor. It seemed awkward for me to access underneath/behind and the onscreen indicator wasn't as intuitive for me to understand immediately.

Monitor provides power to the laptop too, so one cable to hookup and no need for a USB-C hub or dongle or power cord.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall good choice, particularly 2-monitor setup I bought 2 of these monitors to use with a Mac mini M1 running Big Sur. I really like the monitors and particularly like the 16:10 ratio that is hard to find these days (better for viewing text documents. The ultra thin bezels are very nice for a 2-monitor setup. The stand is easily adjustable. It was difficult setting up the monitors because it required an HDMI cable for the second monitor (not included) and Dell support was hit or miss (one person not helpful, another person very helpful). The USB hub will not work at this time due to incompatibility. Hopefully, that will get worked out at some point. Overall, I would recommend this monitor for work dealing with documents and Dell support is very good if you get the right person.

Network, keyboard, mouse, headset and second monitor plugged into the monitor eliminating the docking station and providing a clean desk approach.
