Does not last very long returned
Battery does fit the Latitude E7240 but it doesn't last long. If you need to be unplugged for an extended period of time. My recommendation do not by this battery.

Dell support offer no support. With my own investigation, I replaced coin battery and now laptop works with the new "Dell 45 WHr 4-Cell Primary Lithium-Ion Battery"

Replacement battery
Bought this battery as a replacement for my Dell Latitude E7240. Been about a month and so far it is performing well. I can atleast unplug my laptop and work on it for over an hour before the laptop dies. Easy to replace. Fairly quick delivery.

Replacement Battery
I tried several aftermarket batteries and they never lasted. The latest one expanded and almost bent the casing of the computer. I learned the genuine battery is worth the money to protect the computer.

Perfect part & piece of mind from Dell
This battery is exactly what I needed. I trust that Dell has the name-brand parts that will work. I'm always skeptical to get OEM parts, especially to fix older systems, and even more so when it's a battery. The part itself deserves 5 stars. The only reason I kept the last star is because of the price. I could have saved 30% with OEM and I know that I'm paying a premium for piece of mind, but I'd like to see the price gap come down a little for parts that have been out there for over a decade.

Good but lacking
Overall a lot better than I was expecting. But it was also very expensive. So given the price, quality is lacking a bit. Battery could easily be bent. And it’s a tight fit. I was worried that it would bend so it fell out the first time. The battery doesn’t last as long as I was expecting.
