Great adapter!
I have a Dell Laptop Car and Airplane Power Adapter. I have been using it since 2014. I always used Dell computers for personal and professional activities. Usually I spend many hours installing and setting up agricultural devices on the field. I always used my car power adapter and it has been extremely reliable. I received a new Dell computer in my job. It has a USB-C port to charge. I am glad Dell has this adapter. It was delivered extremely fast and fits perfect in my adapter and in my computer. So far so good! I recommend!

Not for fire trucks.
This adapter did not work out for us and I am in the process of returning it. Our new Dell laptops on our firetrucks have the new USB-C power outlet so I purchased this adapter in hopes of not having to spend money replacing all the hardwired power supplies. The adapter seems to shut off after a while stopping the laptop from charging. This is obviously not an option for our fire apparatus so I would not recommend using this adapter for a permanent power solution.

Less output power than input power
This does not produce the same wattage as the input. For example, if you have a 130 W charger, this dongle will not deliver 130 W to your computer or device. I don't know what the output is, I just know it's not as much as the input. It does work though.

Makes my old chargers useful again
Made my old chargers useful again! I have a couple of them around the house and can just bring the adapter from place to place, only using the USB-C that came with my latitude for travel. Much cheaper than buying a whole new charger.

Easy to carry, BEST adapter for 7.4 mm barrel charger(s) to support ALL USB-C type charging port laptops - not just Dell but ANY.
Great utility kit, and easy to carry and use. No need to worry about buying all new USB-C type chargers, or about getting one extra for your new devices which had the previous Dell charger(s). I have had all DELL computers and whenever i get a new device from my work or for my personal ones, i end up having a new dell charger, ending up me having 3 dell chargers of barrel type. When i recently bought a new device which is of USB-C type charging model, and while my work laptop changed as well, to only support USB-C type charging port, i dont want to throw away the older charging models. Rather, i got this one and i can now reuse the chargers as additional chargers at home or wherever i go, as easy adaptable charger adapter.

Worked great to charge the battery on 5770 laptop!
I bought this on the off chance that it would charge the battery on my Dell 5770 laptop through the USB-C-port. The round jack inside the computer was so messed up after a year and a half of use that I could not longer get any AC adapter to work to charge the battery. I was going to have to open the computer case and change the jack out. But, happily, this fits into the USB-C port in my computer and it keeps the laptop 100% charged.

65Watt Max
No matter what power supply you attach this is a 65watt max adapter. You will have to disable the BIOS warnings if your laptop requires a higher output power supply.
It still charges my laptop just at a slower rate. And if I am traveling I have the original higher output power supply which is fine. It works, just charges slowly.

Handy little adapter saves time, weight and money
This handy adapter eases the frustration of the generational change of Dell power tips from the ubiquitous 7.4mm barrel to the USB-C standard. Just carry this small adapter with your new Dell computer and plug in wherever you have access to the older barrel-type power tip. If you like to have power set up in various places and just carry your PC around, this adapter is much easier and cheaper than buying several new power supplies.

I have several old dell power plugs that I can now use with my new Dell that has USB-C charging. This works great, even with non Dell laptops that charge through USB-C. High recommend.

Adapter does its job!
I purchased this accessory so I could use my existing Dell 65w power supply with my new XPS13 laptop. It works well and I have no issues with it.
