The power adapter works great so far, though it would have been nice if they hadn't sent the wrong one for my laptop the 1st time and tried to do it again. They have the wrong specs listed for my laptop and I don't think they've changed it after this experience. :/

Beware of the Dell Power Adapter; It may not fit.
Thank goodness, except for all the money it cost me, that I only needed the 3 foot power cord. The adapter is not compatible with my XPS DELL because the design of the plug in was changed so it does not fit and is useless.

Poor quality - breaks
I have been through 3 of these chargers in the last 2 years. The connection to the laptop is weak and easily breaks. I am getting really tired of paying for replacements when this is clearly a design flaw. Also they are very expensive for a replacement charger. Unacceptable.

Little help!!!!
My problem was charging my laptop. I had already bought a new cable/charger to no help. After sending in my laptop. The repair was...... replacing the cable. Now when I charge my laptop, I have to continuously watch the light on my laptop to see if it is charging. On occasion I have to go and rotate the cable to begin charging again.

Design Flaws. I've gone through three already.
If I don't purchase another Dell, this will be the reason why. I've cycled through three of these now because of a design flaw. The connector into the laptop fails under regular wear and tear. Through tension the cable fails to charge even though it's lit. It'll continue to work at an angle however by prying pens or an item underneath it. Pathetic flaw and a shame since the laptop itself is quite good.

It came apart and started showing the wires underneath. I have to replace it now because electrical tape will only save it for so long. The performance is good but the quality and construction is poor. I expect more from Dell.

The original adapter that came with my laptop was fine. We purchased several of these adapters through a dell retailer, and the quality was abysmal. The plugs fit poorly, and the connection was finicky at best even new out of the box. Dell switched to a terrible manufacturer.

Don't waste your money
I have a new XPS, and this is the adapter that came with it. The adapter never fit snugly and wiggled around. Within 2 months, the cover came off the little wire connectors that go into the batter charging port. They became bent and crooked, and the adapter no longer works.
I like Dell computers, but there has always been an issue with the adapters.

Worked perfectly fine. The battery would not charge and eventually failed to work altogether. Purchased a new battery, as well as the power adapter, and now works fine.

Always happy with Dell AC adapters
Works great with Inspiron 16 Plus (7620), despite the description not mentioning compatibility. Dell needs to update the compatibility list for this adapter to include the Inspiron 16 Plus 7620.
The 16 Plus (7620) came with a USB-C adapter, which works great -- but occupies the only USB-C port on the laptop, preventing its use with an external drive or other USB-C peripheral. This 4.5mm barrel adapter frees up the USB-C port for other uses.

Incomplete Description
I bought the charger so I would have one at work and one at home and wouldn’t have to keep hauling the charger back and forth. Neither the picture nor the description on the website indicate that the charger comes with a power cord so I bought one of those, too. Unit did come with a power cord so now I’m stuck with two power cords. It would cost me almost the cost of the cord to mail it back and pay the 15% restocking fee.

Too flimsy & not durable!
I had to get a new AC adapter because I kept stepping on the cord when I stood up from the couch and it jerked the plug each time (outlet & armrest are on my right). After just about 5 times you could see the wires (I used s u g r u to keep it together) and then after the final jerk it did not charge my laptop (XPS 15 9550) anymore even though the light still lit up on the plug. I had to get a replacement and I've velcroed the cord to the underside. I've never destroyed a charger via cord stress, but this one.

Expect it to break
One week after the manufacturer warranty expired the laptop started complaining that it couldn't recognize the original charger and so would not charge. It sat on my desk most of the time and was in pristine condition. Took it to a computer repair shop and they said the charger was not maintaining wattage. This isn't a wear and tear issue, this is just bad manufacturing.

I've had so many problems with my Dell Precision 5520, and the cord is no exception. Wires became exposed near the plug, and also it kept falling out of the hole. They are replacing the charger on the warranty, but with all these terrible reviews, I'm not hopeful.

The right charger for my XPS 15, but...
... my laptop frequently detects it incorrectly, and warns me that it cannot detect rhat it is a 130W charger, and that the laptop may not charge correctly. So I have had to fund ways to tricking the laptop into accepting it as a valid charger...

A real Dell factory power supply
This power supply has an excellent build quality and appearance. It should last forever. My advise is to buy one or two right away so that in a few years you won't have to buy cheap after-market clones that often don't work or don't last and, even worse, can mess up your computer big time.

Poorly Manufactured Power Adapter
Like another reviewer, my cord separated between the plug and the cable. The sheath of the wire just slipped out of the plug, exposing the power wires inside. Dell refused to replace it even though it was only 6 months old. Apparently they consider this normal "wear and tear" so it isn't covered by the 3-year premium support! Awful.

It does the job. Sadly, I had to buy this to replace the one that shipped with my computer. I am pretty sure there is a fault with this system and glad to see that Dell has moved onto a USB-C power supply. Would love to buy a retrofit kit, if Dell makes one. I've replaced the DC port twice.

powers Dell Inspiron 15 7000 quickly, but would have preferred this price on the 6ft power cord AND the description on the website was TERRIBLE..it lists some with cords some it doesn't say with cords so looks like it will be 1/2 of the total cord

Wires in and out of adapter
I work in the field and during the day I attach, foldup, unfold and reattach my power adapter to my computer probably four times. Where the wires join the adapter, both in and out get worn and brittle and eventually start coming apart. More robust, but flexible material, or casing is required where the wires join the adapter.

Ridiculously expensive power cord that overheats and breaks every 2 years. But has such a high wattage that I can't find any other alternatives.

Power pack works fine but shouldn't be needed.
DELL supplied a 130 watt power pack with my Inspiron laptop which uses a usb-c connector to plug into the Thunderbolt 4.0 port. That makes the Thunderbolt port unusable for anything else. I bought the 130 watt power pack with a 4.5 mm barrel plug to utilize the power jack and open up the Thunderbolt port. The power pack works fine but I shouldn't have had to spend the extra money to purchase an additional power pack. After all, what's the point of having a power jack if you're going to use one (of only three) of the usb ports to power the laptop.

Poor Cable Quality
This charger came with my Dell XPS 15 9560 last September. Within 2 months the cable covering had detached from the base of the adapter, and as such there has been exposed wires there ever since. I've used tape to try and slow the retraction of the cable to no avail, and at this point there are now two inches of exposed wire. The biggest reason this is concerning to me is that I recently had to send in my Dell for an inconvenient repair depot trip due to BIOS error messages stating that the battery was not identifiable, but also had error codes indicating the charger may be the problem. Although Dell quickly replaced my battery and so far the computer seems fine, I cannot say that the Dell Slim Power Adapter gives me peace of mind when it comes to long term reliability.

Cord is way too short
This cable that came with the XPS 15 is awful. If you're sitting at a desk, you better hope the outlet isn't very far away or you have enough charge because this cord is the shortest thing possible

Replacement Power adapter
My original power adapter sleeve had worn at the tip from the constant bending. My power source is on the right of where I sit and the entry point for the adapter is on the left of my laptop. Eventually the sleeve broke apart exposing the wires and even with tape, the electrical aspect of it became dangerous, even sparking. I ordered a replacement from Dell and it was shipped quickly and my computer is charged once again. I believe the power source should be on the back of the laptop so that the power cord is not compromised with being pulled in one direction or the other.

OEM works best!
OEM stuff is the best; this happened to be on special at the time. It came quickly; we were in need of it right away. Appreciated Dell for this. Only frustrating thing is Dell laptops don't accept universal power adapters for charging, only just as standby power, which with an empty battery is dicey.

Exactly what I was looking for
I was reluctant to purchase this adapter based on the reviews. However, this adapter has been great. It is exactly what I was looking for. I wanted the same adapter that came with my Dell XPS 15 9570 laptop. The adapter that came with the laptop works great but I wanted one for home and one for the work. This is the same adapter (Dell part number is 0V363H) that came with my laptop. Also, the power cord (Dell part number is 02JVNJ) is the same one that came with my laptop.

I've had two of these, and both failed after about a year, so I'll have to get a third one.
The weak point is the plug that plugs into the laptop. It's not strong enough for the flexing it gets if you use the laptop on the charger a lot.
The charger itself works fine, but without the plug, you're dead in the water. You can't just replace the cord, as it's hard-wired to the adapter.

This is the power adapter that should have shipped with my new Dell laptop. I am not happy that I had to spend more money to purchase it. The included USB power adapter took up the only Thunderbolt port--which is located toward the front of the laptop. Power cords should be at the back of the computer where they are out of the way.,

AC adaptor remedy
