Disappointed in otterbox
I have always used OtterBox for my Iphones. So getting one for my new IPhone 16 was a no brainer. However I did not realize that for the 16 there was no longer a plastic screen protector. I liked having my phone totally encased. Also I do not like the cutout for the camera button on the right side. It is too big and leaves a portion of the IPhone exposed. With my luck I will drop my phone on that exact spot. Also there is no protection for camera lens. If you want total protection I wound not recommend this case.

Very dissatisfied when case came. Old defender case had plastic screen cover. The new ones did not. Now I had to spend more money for a glass screen cover. Never told that in product descriptions. Shame on otterbox. $100 to protect my phone? WHAT???

Product Return Challenges
Beware of customer service issues if you need to return an item. It took me numerous attempts to "get approval to return" the item. The item has been shipped back via the return label provided. It has been tracked with the tracking number associated with the return shipping label and per USPS it has been "Picked Up and Processed by Agent", that was 8 days ago now. Upon attempts to contact Otterbox to get further updates I am told that it is "still in transit", but there has not been anything provided to me to be able to further track beyond the USPS tracking. I have contacted Otterbox several times trying to get an answer about the whereabouts of the return and still nothing other than it is still in transit and it will be processed as soon as they receive it, however processing the refund can take up to 15 days once they receive the returned item. At this point I am doubtful that I will ever get the refund for the returned item, so no I am out both the money and product. Had I known this, I never would have purchased through Otterbox. If you are set on an Otterbox product, purchase elsewhere, where you know that you can easily return an item, if needed.

Misleading photos
Bought this case thinking it enclosed the whole case but only enclosed one side. Now to return it I have to pay for shipping and do not get back the shipping money I paid when I bought the phone. The photos of this product is very misleading!

Overall a decent case. Not a fan of the camera cutout. Leaves that button/area vulnerable, snags on my pocket and the vehicle phone holders I have now don’t work right because the phone sits weirdly due to the massive cutout. I’ve had otter boxes on my phone for years and loved them all, first time I have been a little disappointed with the product.

Quality case that you would expect from Otterbox. Seams to provide good protection without being too bulky or interfering with screen access. Side, edge and back material has a good grip texture making it easy to hold onto. However it also takes a bit more effort to get out in and out of your pocket if that’s how you carry it. Overall I’m very happy with it!

Don’t drop your Otter on the teeter totter!
I have only begun to use the new defender series OtterBox case so right off the bat it looks and feels a little thinner than the one I used for years, that case was a fantastic case that I dropped numerous times on very hard surfaces and the phone never received a scratch but this case is made different, one thing that bothers me is the big cutout for the camera button and as for the protection aspect of the case I cannot say as I’ve not dropped it….. yet, so time will tell.

Sturdy case, awkward flap near charging port
Great sturdy case I’ve come to e pact from OtterBox. Flap on bottom that covers the charging port should have been designed to open from the back instead of from the front. Am considering snipping it off so that daily charging is unhindered.

This case is not expensive and worth every penny no need to worry if phone is dropped on the ground or water had spilled on it the case is sealed tight also if case starts to wear they provide a life time warranty as long as you register case when you buy if you love you phone I would recommend only thing is phone will be a little bigger with the case but worth it Otterbox is great

This case did not protect my phone
The case itself seems strong and very durable. However, the design of this case did not protect my phone when it fell off my counter. Even with the added protection of a screen protector, the glass cracked. I have had several different Otter cases over the years and have never had any damage to my iPhones. This was a first. I am extremely disappointed with this and would not recommend this case to others.

Do not buy this case. It gives no protection around the camera button at all. My glass broke after only 2 days of use. Get a case that will protect all edges of the phone. Lousy, terrible design.

Not sure why such a large cut-out on right side for iPhone 16 camera button. Seems too much and is a big change from earlier versions. Full frame is preferred on case. Shipping time and customer service was a disaster.

Third Defender in 15 years!
This is my third Otter Box Defender dating back almost 15 years. I have come to enjoy its protection for my phone. I’m not inclined to drop it but when it does slip I can depend on the quality of my Defender. I chose a color to match my phone’s new color. Unlike prior models, there is no protective covering on the screen. I guess I’m trusting the folks at Apple to have me protected there. I love the solid protection of the case and its layers.

My first bad experience with OtterBox
Absolutely the worst experience I've ever had with otterbox, I have been only buying otterbox cases for my phones since I was 14 years old, 12 years later I'm still buying them but this time i recently bought a defender series case as I always do for my new iPhone 16 off the OtterBox website with 25% discount the total came to 68 US After 103 CAD was charged to my credit card I Scramble to cancel the order I was unable to do so And even after leaving a message with customer service the order was shipped. I ended up having to pay $23 Canadian to have it shipped back to OtterBox to then only have 73$ credited to my MasterCard.
Therefore I paid 53$ for absolutely nothing. I ended up buying the same case in the colour green off of Amazon for $58 Canadian After tax
My local mall has these the same cases listed for 101 after tax with no discount. Please do better otterbox. Also not to mention that the design of the case that allows for the new camera button, is it extreme weak point in the case. As it leaves the phone exposed in this area. Within the first week, my glass screen protector had already a chip in it

A case with double protection.

Not the Protection You Expect From Defender Case
Horrible design. The area by the new photo button is not protected at all & the screen protector cracked within a month of having this case (I did NOT drop my phone nor drop anything on my phone). I've been a long time customer & have never had a problem until this design.

The Otterbox has been my go to iPhone case for years. The case itself is still my first, if not only choice. I was however extremely disappointed that the belt clip is now a separate purchase. Not cool. That needs to be included, or as a minimum an option made at the time of purchase

Long time defender user and extremely disappointed with this purchase. Have these cases for YEARS on my previous I phones without issue. This one provided No protection on side near camera button leave it unprotected and my glass protect has shattered twice. I do not recommend this case or the life proof glass protector.

The case itself is great - really protects the phone very well. The holster: not so much. The holster really does not grab the case very well. I've had the case for my old iPhone 12 fro years and the holster did a fine job of holding on to the case. The holster/case for the iPhone 16 just is not as secure.
