The DL450 FE supports flexible authentication options for standalone deployments, including password-based access and biometric authentication through Windows Hello and Touch ID for a more seamless user experience. The Managed edition, powered by SafeConsole®, adds advanced capabilities such as smart card authentication (CAC, PIV, YubiKey PIV), certified data erasure, centralized policy enforcement, and comprehensive audit reporting.
