This device is small and sturdy. I am using it as a backup device to store partition images. Writes a 50-gigabyte file in 2 minutes connected to a USB4 port.

Good external SSD
I purchased this external SSD directly on Crucial website. The commercial relationship was great and helpful, as I had some issue with my local delivery company. But the product has been finally delivered thanks to Crucial's support.

Sticky rubber back on the first use
rubber back became sticky after first use, it leaves your finger sticky too! took it back to distributor, they refuse to exchange, and told me it would be the same with new one.

Very fast but needs formatting to APFS
We bought them in a pinch while running out of space on a shoot. Wrangling data on MBP the drives actually BOTH lost some files while backing up data. We managed to find them through hidden files. Reformat to APFS and tested them with large files and Shot Put Pro and they were solid. Nice spares to have on shoots.

Poor Material, but Does the Job.
I've had this drive since September 2024 and did an APFS encrypt and 70gb or so transfer to backup my files. After my personal setup process was completed, the X10 Pro's rubber base became sticky — much like Bern from Hong Kong's review. Now, after over a year, the rubber shows edge wear, color stain, inconsistent tactility. Some of the markings (such as for the serial number) are rubbing off.
For context, I also own a WD_Black P50 (heavy, mostly metal case with small rubber feet) and the Samsung T9 (mostly rubber material on the outside). Neither of these drives exhibit the same rubber wear as the X10 Pro, which is exacerbated by the fact that there are important regulatory and device markings on the rubber.
The X10 Pro's key benefits among its competition is its light weight and size. Because of how light it is, the USB-C wire it comes with can barely hold the drive still in a set position. Basically, there was no reason for the rubber base at all.
I give this drive a 3.5/5. It does the job. I don't care about aesthetics, but I can do without wondering how this rubber wear compromises the drive's physical integrity. Take out the rubber and give it a full metal shell, and I'd give it a solid 4/5. Give me a macOS Crucial application to manage the drive and update firmware, and maybe it'd be a 5/5.
