Installation videos and instructions were unhelpful and product support non-existent. Found lots of forum discussions of others having the same problem. Gave up and bought a new computer.

The site made it easy to get the correctly fitting component and it was super easy to install, just a few screws and slot it in. The online instructions are very useful if you need a hand. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Upgrade to 2 Tb from puny 320 Gb -- Nearly Unlimited Storage 2 Tb should be the industry standard for 2023--laptops, phones, etc. Apple's narrative that 512 Gb is sufficient is a great money making scheme for their cloud service and their costly upgrades of SSD soldered chips. No thank you! Installing the 2 Tb M.2 was a snap. I wore my ESD wristband to be safe. After playing around with the BIOS/uEFI settings (turn off secure boot) ... the SSD was recognized and I was able to install Linux without issues. It doesn't get any easier. No space crunches. I can have it all if I want it. And that is the way it should be. Very happy with my purchase!

I no longer have to worry about space and am enjoying downloading and playing tons of games. After using a paid disk cloning software I was able to duplicate my old drive in no time at all and the new drive is bigger and better than ever. I'll be turning to Crucial to upgrade my RAM soon as well. Thanks!

What is going on its been over a month now ordered 6th Oct. When it arrives l will be return as now order a Samsung which being delivered on the 8th Nov 5 days after l.put in the order. You need to sort out your shipping and logistics. They are treable.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Speed up your database searches I understand these cards are popular with gamers. I bought mine because I wanted to search massive database of old files for specific items. With this card running as your primary windows system drive plus your files you can now search over 1.2 TB of data in less than 2 seconds. This used to take minutes with my SSD drive and many minutes with my old magnetic drives. A side benefit is that you can effect a complete clone of this drive onto an SSD in less than 40 minute (sorry, but the SSD slows the process down)

Plenty of spare capacity for all the games I want and fast enough to make my Flight Sim really fly. Cheap enough per TB too (unlike some other brands).

My gaming laptop came with an inadequate 500 GB total storage for everything - OS, programs and games. It wasn't enough. I've used Crucial in the past, for RAM, but thought I'd look through what they had for storage. They had the size I wanted (2 TB) and the price was good. I've installed the drive and it's working flawlessly, taking a lot of pressure off my laptop's crammed 'C' Drive. The perfect solution.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good product, but cloing software is deficent I bought this SSD o upgrade a new PC that had a small capacity SSD in its single M.2 slot. Unfortunately, after installing the cloning software supplied by Crucial, the software informed me that it only works if a Crucial SSD is installed in the PC. So it can't be used with a PC that has only one slot, since it will not clone the existing non-Crucial SSD to another disc, the first step in the two step cloning process for a one slot configuration. (The second step it to clone that cloned image back to the new Crucial SSD.) This deficiency should be disclosed in the glowing description of the software on the Crucial site. I wound up having to spend extra time figuring this ourt, and extra money for an enclosure for the Crucial SSD to get the cloning done in one step.

Using Crucial's website, found the SSD that would be compatible with the specific HP model. That's always my biggest worry. It came on time and was very easy to install. Now we are up and running with 2 TB of space.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I won't be buying this product again I bought P5 originally but there were issues as stated in point 1 and it also gets very hot after 10mins. While they offered a replacement to P5 plus, the new product still have issues. I put this in an external harddisk encasement and below is my feedback. 1. I did the same thing of putting the new P5 plus SSD into the encasement. This time round it is significantly faster, BUT still slower than what I would normally expect of SSD, from 10+ mins reduced to 3+mins. It has become something like my old hdd when connected in terms of initial connection time. 2. The drive is still hotter than other SSDs that I have so this is something for your R&D to take note. 3. Please take note that to claim the warranty, ALL shipping fee are born by the purchaser apparently. I sent it back to Crucial costing me $11. They sent back WITH shipping invoice from FEDEX asking me to pay $40. So in short, you will need to fork out an additional $60+ to $100 depending on which type of shipping fee you opt for to claim the warranty.

The start-up alone used to mean I could turn on, go and make a coffee and drink it, still waiting for windows to load. Now I hardly have time to blink, switch on, and in seconds it's all ready to use.
