The boot up time difference as well as opening/closing programs has significantly sped up. The price was also very reasonable for a 500 GB drive. We used them in HP elitebook 850 G3 models.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It does exactly the job I wanted it for This is the boot drive for my home computer. It decreased the boot time from the SSD it was booting from. The speed is excellent for this application. I don't play games on this PC, so lighting speed wasn't important.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for running OS I don't use my laptop all the time, but when I need to do something on it, it is good to be able to get right to it. Now it boots up, loads everything, and I have a cursor on the internet search bar in less than 1 min. ? Instructions and software downloads (for optimizing the pc) that came with it were also very awesome and unexpected.

Upgraded to replace hard drive on Dell AIO 3277 after using Crucial scan. The Acronis cloning software worked first time even though I was going from 1 TB drive to 500GB M2 SSD. I would recommend to anyone

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Doesn't work well on B150 mobo On Asus B150i Pro Gaming motherboard, PC won't be able to boot upon restart, machine will hit blue blank screen (not BSOD) when attempting to load OS. Fresh boot up is fine for some reasons. I bought 2 P2 500GB and both have this exact issue. Must be an FW issue, checked with other drives and this problem doesn't exist (Samsung NVMe, Crucial P5)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Apparently not compatible with Asus Prime Z490 boards. I installed this in my new Asus Prime Z490-A Mobo. While it seems to work after getting by BIOS, upon boot-up the Asus BIOS states: "WARNING: Please back-up your data and replace your hard disk drive. A failure may be imminent and cause unpredictable fail. Press F1 to enter SETUP. " So, have to get into BIOS and exit before OS will boot. This is a brand new drive. I don't know if the issue is the M.2 SSD or The Mobo. Low rating due to unknown error - would be happy to change rating/review if someone from Crucial could help out.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A let down Supposed to be compatible with Dell G3. In reality a. didn't fit Dell's existing heatshield b. when running without heatshield, got a variety of alerts suggesting chip was running above threshhold temperature c. other SMART measures either missing or suspect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good memory for making an external drive I saw a video to use this kind of memory for an external disk drive. This one has a very good performance and the price was great. Really good experience so far. Was able to format the drive to be used in the PC and MAC.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Atrocious customer service The first card did not work. No one ever returned my voice messages, could never get through to anyone. No email address exists. Only contact is via online chat which is a tortuously slow and ineffective method of communication. Then after I sent the card back I waited weeks before chasing it up and was told it had not been received until I gave the tracking number and then they admitted they had it. The replacment card works but it was such a terrible experience I will never buy from Crucial again.

The only down side for us is that there is no next day shipment option. This really limits our use of Crucial as the main supplier is the lack of a next day delivery!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great customer service Had gotten this drive for game storage but unfortunately after 2 months it died I was able to get a replacement easily customer service was great and got my reply within 2weeks alot better than other companies I've dealt with Only reason it's a 4 star is the first drive died but I understand all products have at least a couple dead units.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Definitely a great deal A friend brought her laptop to me. "Acting full" was the complaint. Storage drive was 128 GB; with 105 MB remaining free. This unit virtually quadrupled her capability on the unit. She is happy. Item was clearly labeled, all parts included, easy to install. All in all a nice upgrade for a smaller drive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from buggy firmware, fails post test at times and report bad temp the drive works ok it fails bios post test with saying its failing its not currently the firmware is bugged and so far crucial is working on it , hope they come out soon. also it reports wrong temps at times, and its just fine never gets hot. crucial says if you let it warm up if its cold it works fine, and i can confirm this. once its on no issues other then there software saying its out of temp, and its not. Just a needs update and hope they bring it soon as its a minor annoyance .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Firmware currently buggy, possibly fake error reporting There seems to be a common issue with this drive: it seems to fail the BIOS' POST test when first booted up in several hours, yet the SMART values seem fine. The BIOS warns you that the drive is likely to fail and to backup the data. Upon doing some digging, it seems that the firmware for the SSD is bugged: the temperature sensor is broken, is reporting incorrect values to the BIOS and triggering it's warning. It *appears* that the SSD is failing, when it is actually (probably) fine. I haven't contacted Crucial support about this, but someone else has, and they (Crucial) say the drive is fine and to wait a few minutes for the drive to warm up, before restarting. They are working on a fix but with no ETA (which is worrying). Frankly, I think it reflects pretty poorly on Crucial that they are failing to communicate this issue: I imagine there have been a lot of returns that have been frankly pretty unnecessary. As for the drive itself, it's actually very good. Lightning fast speeds and the Crucial software is good too. I'd suggest avoiding buying this at the moment until a fix for this bug is released. it's quite annoying, to say the least.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from speeds are inconsistent but good use it as C: for my new gaming pc and it boots fast, was recognized immediately and works fine. just wish the speeds were consistent. in tests speeds will range from in the hundreds to max advertised, though it could be something i did.

Was told latest firmware for the M.2 P2 2280 would resolve the two known firmware issues being reported; a SDT failure and a Temp Threshold Exceeded Error being reported my SMART. Updated firmware to latest but did not resolve. Same issues. Dell Diagnostics reports failures and even Crucial's own Executive Storage software reports the same errors. Requested a replacement. Otherwise, DO NOT BUY.
