Rated 5 out of 5 by from No Problem Install - Super Product I used this to replace my hard drive that used to take 20 minutes at times to boot and ran with 100% disk usage even longer. With the SSD, I boot up in less than a minute and programs open up much faster. I also ordered the Install kit which had the SATA to USB connection that was needed for the system Clone. The software needed to clone (included with the SSD) was a no hassle installation and ran without a hitch.

My machine wasn't slow, it took about a minute to get from cold and dark to a desktop, but now it's 15 seconds. Firefox now starts in four seconds instead of 16. The installation process, using the provided guidance online, was straightforward and pretty quick, and the software available was a breeze to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The difference between HDD and SSD is night and day Going from a 5400 RPM Seagate HDD to a Crucial MX500 SSD was one of the best decisions to make with the biggest impact on my laptops performance. Not only did my startup go from minutes to seconds the overall performance is so great that now there is virtually no lag doing anything, everything instantly opens and runs as good as it can get. The Crucial Storage Executive program that comes with your SSD on the website on the pamphlet has further performance options and information that is very impressive, things like Cache Momentum is something to turn on to even further boost the speed of your SSD. Although the boost is not that noticeable from my perspective but, it's always a welcome feature I hope to see more of in the future.

After talking with the techs at where I bought my PC, they suggested I look at this brand drive and go for this. After using this product as long as I have now, I am considering a secondary drive and retiring the drive I have in there now. I am quite happy with the service this drive has given me and will continue to use this product in the future.

Every time I switched from Word to excel, to google chrome it was unbearably slow. I had serious doubts about this but once everything was installed and rebooted. I'm glad I did.

Looks like I don't need to replace my machine after all. Install was EZ. Instructions and tips made it a short process. I was back on my machine and installing a new OS in less than an hour!

Had no problems installing it, the speed is amazing ,the crucial software for SSD management is also very helpful. Since the installation I had no additional issues, everything is running smooth and faster on my system. Very happy with my purchase, Crucial will be my main brand for SSDs in the future.

Finally I found out the Bios had to be updated, after this was accomplished the drive worked like a "dream," virtually every operation was significantly faster!

It's brought back my happy feelings about owning my iMac. I should did this a long time ago. Definitely worth EVERY penny. Went flawless. WORD OF ADVICE - If you're considering doing this. Look at "SuperDuper" to clone your drive.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from OK unless you need support The Acronis software, which must be downloaded ONLY when the new drive is physically attached to your device would not install. I sent emails to both Acronis (Not our problem since it is a OEM version) and Crucial (Go to this website which has nothing to do with your problem). Tried contacting crucial by phone but gave up after holding for 20 minutes. Got the problem solved by downloading a free trial of Macrium Reflect 7. Worked like a charm.

Make certain you have an extra internal SATA cable set or you will have to buy a USB to SATA to install it, especially as your bootable drive. Use Acronis software to clone it that can be found on Crucial's site.

Installation was straight forward and went without a hitch. Instructions from Crucial resources were excellant. My son is happy and his machine starts much quicker and is more responsive overall. Other unrelated issues forced us to purchase another laptop. We sent a request to return the still unopened hard drive package. Right away customer service responded and sent us a return label. I cannot say how much I appreciate the best customer service from CDW that I've ever received from anyone I've ever dealt with. I will certainly order from them again. They have SUPERIOR service!

However, since my Dell had no USB 3.0 ports, I also purchased an SinLoon 2.5 Hard Disk Drive SATA 22Pin eSATA DATA USB powered cable adapter. Using the Acronis Ture Image software, the entire cloning process took less than an hour. My laptop is now running like new and I love it.

I installed this one about 2 weeks ago in my Toshiba laptop. I then installed Linux Mint as the operating system, it's been flawless. The first one I installed in my wife's HP about a year ago, Installed Linux, and it has been flawless also. Both of our laptops are more than adequate for what we need, so the price of a hard drive is far better than a brand new laptop.

I used to clone drives years ago but they were a lot smaller drives back then and thus simpler to deal with. Your representative RAJ was very helpful as he sent me instuctions which allowed me to finally clone my hard drive without errors. I tried twice and obtained errors when the program tried to write to the ssd drive before his instuctions and only cloned once after i recived his verbal and written instructions and without any errors. I simply made sure i had a clean drive to copy from with all updates and using the sfc.exe command to assure all system files were good. Please tell Mr RAJ thanks!

I did not, and my computer had difficulty booting up with both hard drives installed. My PC would often boot to the old hard drive. I disabled the old hard drive, and my new crucial SSD booted up perfectly. I love their cloning software.

Easy enough to install as long as you have an adaptor for a desktop PC and carry out a clean install of Windows 10. PC now boots up quicker than ever before. Programs install so quick. Windows updates now done in the blink of an eye. Virus scan takes a few minutes instead of a few hours. The whole thing just makes using my desktop a pleasure again instead of a chore. Definitely worth considering if everything else in your laptop/desktop is working fine. It should keep it going for another few years, at least until Windows 11 makes it obsolete!

With guidance from I fix it managed the task of replacement with no hiccups as it is fairly easy if you know what you are doing. A very satisfying DIY job. Postage is slow atm (Nov 2021) so best to allow up to 2 weeks for delivery.

Since i got this brand i notice the starting up the pc was quicker to the main menu. I'm glad i got this cause it's very great and able to hold a lot of save items and no issue tryna open anything.
