Ran memory diagnostics which hung up, so I re-installed original memory, and no further problems. I've not had any problems with memory upgrades in the past, so was very surprised that these issues arose.

We were moving from 4Ram up to 8Ram so added this extra four. CPU had been okay, but Ram had constantly been running 75% or higher. Computer now runs significantly faster and the Ram percentage is down.

I really had to push down as hard as I could to make it snap in. I replaced one 4GB stick with a pair of 4GB sticks from Crucial. The doubling of RAM does speed up page loads on the Net. That was one of my chief reasons for the upgrade. I would have rated 5 if the sticks would have installed with less effort. I was concerned that I would damage the stick if I pressed any harder.

While the age of my computer shows, I was able to run a few of my games on medium that I previously had to run on very low settings, and the loading times are much better, so the RAM proved to be helpful.

My computer was running very slow and when he examined it I was completely out of capacity. He examined the availability for extra capacity and suggested we add an additional 8GB of DIMM capacity and we had the space on the mother board to do so. Wow, what a difference in speed. The computer was completely out of operating capacity and now has plenty of operating capacity and is working great. He is the one that chose this product and it has worked great. the computer is now very fast.

I wasn't expecting it for a week but it showed up on my doorstep in 2 days. I had trouble installing the sticks, but it was my own fault. Make sure you lay your computer flat and press the sticks in firmly but carefully. At boot, my system recognized the new memory and I've seen a significant increase in gaming and multitasking productivity.

The store even used Crucial to look up the memory necessary for my Dell system, still failed. I used the Crucial.com site for the 5th or 6th time and the memory model fit and performs well.

My PC kept crashing and I assumed it was just a Windoes or virus issue, but nothing I tried helped. then I learned it might be a RAM problem so I ordered new RAM, popped in the new cards and have not had a single crash since, while before it would crash every few hours. Thank you Crucial and Micron!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from New, Effective, arrived quickly Arrived quickly after ordering 4 - 4GB memory boards. There is nothing hard about installation once you get the cover off the machine. The BIOS detects the upgrade automatically. Memory upgrades are the EASIEST hardware change to make. I upgraded to be able to process Photos more quickly using Photoshop, and I noticed a vast improvement in load times. Worth the price I paid.

Crucial tech support figured out that I needed lower density modules. End of problem. I'm a happy camper now. beware of people who claim to be selling this part number and then sell you something that's "close" or "more up to date".

The major selling-point to me was the Crucial Memory Advisorâ?¢ Tool. It helped me pick the memory that was right for my computer, and with guaranteed compatibility. After a bad experience with another retailer a while back (who stated that they couldn't guarantee compatibility), it was refreshing to get memory that would just do what it was supposed to. Work. It was very easy to install, with no having to go in and tweak any settings. The computer recongized the RAM as soon as I booted it back up after installation. I'll be doing all my memory shopping at Crucial from now on, and I'll definitely recommend that my friends shop here, too.

So it would be able to run Win10 in native 64-bit mode, I wanted to ensure we would have enough memory. This was the perfect solution for our application.

I decided my 5 YO computer needed some more memory to work on photography programs so I ordered 4 of these memory cards to give my computer 16 GB of memory. They went in without a problem, the computer recognizes them and it seems that the programs do run a little faster with the added memory. It was an inexpensive way to upgrade the performance somewhat until it's time for a whole new computer (hopefully I'll get another 5 years out of this one!)

I had already tried two other brands of memory that were rejected by my computer. Crucial's software scanned my system and pointed me to memory that was known to work, and it worked. So I'm happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just as expected!!! I installed these memory chips in a semi new Dell Optiplex. I had an older Optiplex with a mechanical HD and a lil' memory. It was so slow it was painful. I installed all the memory you can install in the new one, and also a solid state HD. The thing cannot be faster, I can have several apps running and still browse the net and I can hardly see any delays. It is literally night to day.

The web site is a great facility for ensuring the correct upgrade and a call to the "help desk"cleared up a question on installation. A good experience all around.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Some issues getting the memory recognized Had some trouble getting the two 4GB cards to get recognized on a Microstar G41M-P25 with 2GB installed. When I installed both 4GB cards, it only recognized 2G, when I pulled out the 4GB card in the slot where the 2GB had previously been, it recognized 4GB when I put the other 4GB card back in its slot, it recognized 8GB. No explanation, the cards were seated properly. Everything is fine now. Customer support was great, they suggested an old bios but for some reason this trick worked so never had to upgrade.

My PC is a 5 years-old, after I upgraded to windows 10 my PC started to slow down because of the limited (8 GB) memory the CPU started to kick to compress the memory. So I had to double the ram size. I wasn't sure if the memory is compatible. However, with crucial advisory tool I was able to choose the right memory upgrade. My PC now feels like new, I am glad I made that decision.

The memory tool provided the correct recommendation for the memory I needed. Memory diagnostics run at the time of installation indicated all modules worked correctly. A few weeks ago stability problems set in and the memory diagnostic now shows one of the four modules is defective with a single bit error. Replaced the module (and its bank twin) with another matched pair and up and running again.

I can't tell you how many times I've had to take memory back to a retail store, because it didn't work in my box. I quickly learned that it's usually best to mail order from crucial and wait a little extra. Have never sent anything back.

When in actual fact, yes I have that number of slots, my motherboard cannot handle two 4gb sticks of Ram. I had to wait longer than normal to receive my RAM in the mail only to find out it will not work with my computer. Not Happy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Upgraded my Dell Inspirons 660s Originally it came with 4Gb, never considered to upgrade thinking that Dell Inspiron 660s is not upgradable, it is so tiny and quet, then when having multiple tabs in Chrome became an issue due to taking most of the memory, simply bought these 2 DIMMs and now have plenty of memory. I am running Win 7 64bit, also learnt that I can run VM since motherboard and BIOS have a special set up for it on CPU level.

After returned the first set when my PC stopped booting after a week, the second set exhibited the same issues. I got their regular DDR memory and it works great. This RAM may be good for a gamer PC with advanced options, but I'd pass if you're use a regular user level PC.

Purchased a pair of 4 Gb memory sticks and had a pair of 2 Gb memory sticks in computer. Total 12 Gb memory, computer would not boot up. Removed the pair of 2 Gb sticks and it booted up okay. motherboard memory limit was 8 Gb not 16 Gb RAM.

In fact, all functions seem to perform better with none of the hesitations I had experienced before the upgrade. I always use Crucial memory after experiencing failures with other brands in the past. Crucial memory just works like its supposed to.

The picture popped up. Shipping was very quick and installation was a breeze. I can definitely tell an increase in performance. Video has a marked improvement.

I had originally bought GSkill RAM but even though the type, speed and amount of memory was correct, the computer would not boot up with that brand. That was when I found out that not all RAM works with an OEM Dell computer. The Crucial RAM worked perfectly in my computer. I am very pleased. Two weeks in and no problems.

The memory test application told me what memory to buy but it didn't know to tell me that the memory wouldn't work until I upgraded my bios. I almost sent them back because they didn't work until I decided to upgrade my bios revision. After that, they all worked great. My computer boots faster then ever before and no longer hangs up during multiple program use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great; But Stock Levels Were Incorrect Upgraded my HP/Compaq 6000 Pro SFF with this memory. Bios detected the change, and I've been running ever since. Along with replacing the SATA HD with a SSD, my system performs much better/faster. This memory was originally shown on the website as hundreds of units "in stock", but showed up on my order as "backordered". After about a 2-3 week delay, it arrived and all went smoothly. I'd give five stars if it wasn't for the misreported stock level on the crucial website.
