Provisioning is a service offered to automate the process of creating or updating users based on creation and updates to a system external to Google Workspace like their SIS or Active Directory. This eliminates manual work for schools cutting down their workload.
Google Cloud Directory Sync (GCDS): Syncs Active Directory or LDAP to Google and is a service to automate the process of creating or updating Google Workspace users based on creation and updates to an external LDAP system such as Active Directory. (Runs in client environment.)
Milestones:
• Gather provisioning requirements
• Initial setup of GCDS sync of Active Directory or another supported LDAP system to Google
• Simulation run of GCDS sync for Client Approval
• Live Sync run 1 time
Includes:
• Initial setup of GCDS sync of Active Directory or LDAP to Google with the live sync being run successfully 1 time. Simulations will be run before live run and client will OK simulation prior to implementation.
• Optional: Google Password Sync (GPS) Setup – Active Directory Only Supported
