Rated 5 out of 5 by from Terrible Product - Stay Away Consistently drops link between flash and transmitter resulting in no flash and requiring that the camera and flash be turned on and off. This happens every several minutes.Completely ruined a shoot of new born twins.Review the many complaints in the community forum for verification of this abysmal failure of a product. And yes I tried new batteries, differenrt channels and codes jiust like all of the other unhappy customers. Canon remains silent on this issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Speedlite Transmitter for cameras with the newer Hot Shoe This is an inexpensive Speedlite transmitter for use with EOS R series cameras that are equipped with the new Multi-Function Hot Shoe configuration. It cannot be used with cameras that use the older traditional hot shoe. With that out of the way, this transmitter appears to provide the same functionality as the older ST-E3-RT transmitter at a more attractive price. It does lack the built-in display feature that the older unit, making use of the camera's built in display technology, instead. The new hot shoe arrangement allows the transmitter to draw power from the camera, eliminating the need for separate batteries used by the older unit. There is a button on the back of the unit that allows instantaneous access to the flash information and control functions using the camera display or the EVF. I find this very convenient. FWIW: I have had no issues with sync dropouts that have been mentioned elsewhere. The Transmitter and flashes (Speedlite 600EX-RT, 430EXIII-RT, EL-5 and EL-10) have all worked flawlessly and reliably where I have used them. I would recommend.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worth buying Yesterday I bought ST-E10 and YN600EX RT II , which is fully compatible with Canon speedlite, from B&H. I installed it on my new EOS R8. The link between ST-E10 and YN600EX RT II was perfect, and never missed a fire so far. I highly recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Useless as it constantly drops link. There is a problem with the Canon wireless flash protocol where the link between the speedlight and the trigger is constantly lost. I can pinpoint the phenomenon when I upgraded my Wi-Fi routers to the 6 standard. I bought this transmitter and an EL-5 flash, thinking Canon was already aware of the issue and had solved the problem. To my surprise, Canon has not addressed the issue.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to Use Easy to establish signal between the ST-E10 and my Canon 430EXIII-RT's using my R8. I have used the trigger from about 15' to 20" with no problem.
