Outstanding Glass...The sharpness is just mind blowing.
I just received my brand-New Canon 28-70MM F2.8 IS STM lens to go along with my R62 FF camera. And the sample picture I took is absolutely stunning, very crisp very sharp.

Best bang for your buck RF Lens!
This is best bang for your buck RF Lens that you can buy. The zoom is smooth and the lower aperture is always a plus especially in low light. I use a R7 and I do wish at times that it was a little wider since this is a full frame lens and the R7 is a crop sensor. But overall best investment I made for future proofing myself when I eventually buy a new camera body.

RF28-70mm F2.8 IS STM lens, is awesome on my Canon R7.
I have been using a Canon EF-S 17-55 lens with an adapter on my Canon R7 camera, until I was ready to purchase the RF28-70mm F2.8 IS STM. When I got the delivery for the new lens, I couldn't wait to try it out and WOW what a difference. The new lens was much faster and clearer than my EF-S 17-55 lens. I love how fast and sharp the images. This lens is going to be all around travel lens for a long time, and I love it.

Not a review of the product, but of the delivery and customer sercice
The 1 star is not really warranted, as I have not received the lens and can't comment on the quality of the product, but I need to catch the attention of customer service.
I have not received a lens that I have ordered. The Fedex delivery required a signature, and the tracking claims the package was delivered and signed for by a certain DFVNBD, but the proof of delivery does not include a signature or a picture.
There were a few Fedex delivery attempts when I was not home, followed by a delivery attempt on Sunday, when I stayed home all day, waiting, to later find out there was a delivery exception due to "Unable to find Street number". Then on Monday's delivery attempt, when I was not home, the package was allegedly delivered.
The Fedex customer service has been pretty much useless. The online system took three days to restate the claim that the package was delivered. They told me to contact the shipper, but I can't find a way to do that. Calling the Canon costumer service just points me back to the website that claims the package was delivered.

Can't beat the quality for the price
If you're used to using the EF 24-70 f2.8 adapted to a mirrorless Canon camera, you'll love having this lens. It's lightweight, smaller, but still takes fantastic pictures. Would the more expensive versions be better for heavy work? Maybe, I can't afford them, so I don't know. But this one definitely perfect for just about everyone else. And you can definitely do some work with it.
