Great Printer for 2.4g WiFi, Not 5g WiFi
We had this printer for about a year and a half and we thought it was very simple to set up with the WiFi. There is no copier, scanner, fax, built into this machine, which we knew when we bought it. It’s your basic printer and will do exactly that. It prints perfect documents, pictures and basically anything from your Tablet, iPhone, or PC. It is a great basic printer. The issue is the WiFi, it Only supports 2.4g and Does Not support 5g. Make sure it’s kept in mind when purchasing. It can be hard wired to your device, but you’ll have to purchase the type of usb cable online for approximately $7.99, that’s what we paid for it. The printer itself is very inexpensive and replacements for ink are also inexpensive. We’ve owned it for for quite some time, but will now be selling it or giving it away to someone who has not upgraded to 5g WiFi.

Terrible printer
This is a terrible printer. Paper never feeds correctly and it's very difficult to figure out how to connect it to wifi.

I got a nice printer BUT with an unwanted Surprise
That’s very true.
Hey, the printer was fine, but these crooks charged an additional $19.95 service fee, just for talking to them for a minute when ordering the printer. I’ve been a Canon customer for 25 years and this printer replaced one that I owned.

Overall Not a Bad Little Printer
I received this printer to test last week. And overall I’d give it 4 stars. The directions to set it up are very easy to follow. You can print from both your computer or smartphone/tablet. It took about 30 minutes to set up on my laptop (installing and going through the steps). But with the smartphone it took literally seconds. I downloaded the Canon app and after that it pretty much did all the setup for me in seconds. It prints photos well! It can also copy an image or doc from your phone. All you do is place the document on the grid (on the top of the printer) and use your camera to take a photo. Then you print from your app. It printed color 8x10 photos quickly and the quality was great! Printing a doc is even faster.
A downside to this is that the ink cartridges are a bit tricky to put in. You have to load them from the very front side of the printer and the top doesn’t open to access them. I did not have any issues with the paper feeding through like the last review. It does have a slider on the feeder to adjust the paper size being used. Another downside is that there is no way to just copy something without your phone. This is also very lightweight.
