PG-240XXL Black Ink Cartridge
I mostly print documents using black ink and prefer the XXL size to extend the print cycle.

Do you really want to try a generic cartridge?
It works like it's supposed too. Tried a 5 star generic cartridge and it wouldn't print correctly no matter what I did. Bought this Cannon one and bingo! Printinting beautifully. Thanks Cannon!

Black XXL Cartridge
The XXL cartridge does give more ink & better value than the regular & XL cartridges. Still, these cartridges are a little expensive.

The real deal - superb Canon Ink Cartridge!
I always depend on Canon XXL Black Cartridge for my printer ink. The size lasts a long time, the ink color lasts a long time & is always crisp & clear; once printed out on paper the ink lasts for years - Canon 240XXL Black Ink Cartridge has never let me down- plus you get the best price on Canon's own site; & you know you are purchasing the real ink - not a "knockoff"!

Buy Ink with Milk
I spent way too much on the ink. I had to get groceries at my nearest Walmart and stopped by the Canon Ink section. I could have saved over $20 if I just picked it up from Walmart.

Expensive ink.
One would expect the XXL black ink cartridge to be a more economical purchase than an XL ink cartridge, but there is no data provided by Canon to support that expectation. Granted, it's hard to define exactly how many pages can be expected from a cartridge, because it depends on how many characters will be on the page, are they printed in bold type, etc.
However, Canon could tell us precisely how much ink is in each cartridge. How many mgs, or mls, should be something easily known by the manufacturer. Then we could calculate the cost per mg, and see what is the more economical cartridge.
In any case, the ink is quite expensive. Over the last five XXL cartridges, it ran me about 3/5 of a shave and a haircut.
