Jams, misfeds, and prints blank pages
I bought this 2 months ago for my business. I am a bookbinder and print my own pages for journals and notepads. I purchased this printer specifically for its high monthly print volume and ink tank feature. I was needing a printer that could print quickly and handle printing thousands of pages in a month. Previously I used Epson eco-tanks but now need something to handle a high volume. Overall the printer is ok. The quality of the prints is good and I am satisified with that. However, it misfeds and prints blanks pages all the time. I just ran a print job of 70 pages (all the exact same) and in that job 3 were blank and 9 were misfed and had to be trashed. I was expcting to be able to pull the pages from the printer and go right to cutting them. But now I have to manually count each stack and pull out the bad pages. The printer also jams frequently. Today alone, it jammed two times and misfed over 50 pages and printed over 50 blanks. I am using plain 20lb letter sized paper. Nothing out of the ordinary. For the amount of money I spent, I was hoping for a workhorse, but this is not.

Great inkjet printer
I replaced an aging 8 year old Pixma with this. So far I’m very impressed. Text and photos are very good. Fast output. Holds plenty of paper. Easy photos and envelopes from back tray. Sheet feeder works well. Inks should last a long time and way less expensive to refill than cartridges. I even appreciate the duplex scanning ability even though I won’t use it often, it’s a nice little extra. So at this point I’m very happy. A little expensive but will probably end up being worth it for the decreased running costs. Prints from my laptop and iPhone. It wakes up from sleep when data is sent to it. It’s perfect for my home office and personal use.

Canon Printers, Sales, and Support Will Make Your Day!
I just replaced an EPSON WorkForce WF-7720 which I used for over 7 years. The MegaTank GX7120 id a 1,000% improvement! It is smaller, quieter, faster, and printouts (text and photos) are much much clearer. I was nervous about loading the ink bottles — I shouldn't have been. Easy as could be without spilling a single drop. While the EPSON was getting finicky (color issues, rumpled paper jams, driver issues), the thing that really griped my cookies was that it stopped accepting non-OEM cartridges (which I've used from the very beginning). The only thing I miss is the ability to do 13" x 19" prints. For that I'll get Canon PIXMA or ImagePROGRAF (which uses 8 inks!). Don't waste your money on EPSON or HP (I've suffered through them both). From here on out, it is only Canon for me! The GX7120 is simply a great printer / scanner! Canon support (sales and tech) also makes the other companies look like Wal•Mart greeters. Canon's staff is knowledgeable and extremely helpful. Stop reading this review and just go buy that Canon printer. You'll be glad you did!

Awesome and reliable printer
Perfect printing for home and home office. Appreciate double sided printing and duplex scanning. Operates fairly quietly, integrates with Canon Print app on my android. Tweaking printing results is easy and installation via the app was a piece of cake, no hiccups at all. Have not figured out Canon cloud integration yet as the need not urgent at present, but Canon has excellent tutorial FAQ's and videos to assist. Colors are satisfactory, photos while not professional in appearance are just as good at printing at any drug store or super mart. Two trays holding paper is so convenient and the back tray is great for envelopes and photo paper. Comes with and excellent warranty. No misfeeds, no jams, always perfect printing. Way to go Canon!
