Very good multi-function printer
Very good printer and scanner. An 8.5x11 photo print on this machine with Canon Pro Platinum photo paper is nearly indistinguishable from a same size print on my Canon Pro-100, a wide format dedicated photo printer. It is excellent for the occasional photo, which is about all you would use this printer for given that it is trying to be an all around, do-it-all consumer/home office kind printer. If you want better prints, get a dedicated photo printer, but also wait for ever for office documents to print and possibly deal with cartridges. Hard to believe anyone would complain about the photo printing capability. Scanning is servicable too as you won't be scanning analog film stills and such...more likely just documents which it's great at. Can't really comment on the ADF as I haven't used it enough to form an opinion. It's a modestly size, attractive and prints quite fast. Using ISO 19752 black and white target (a business letter with a logo and graph), I get about 21 pages a minute. If you really need something quicker, go get a laser but be prepared to pay a lot for toner. It's faster than any ink jet really has a right to be. All-in-all, an exceptional combination of abilities. Highly recommended.
