Best Option for it's Value
I have wanted a printer that could do professional level printing like invitations and cards for awhile but I just couldn't justify the multithousand dollar options.
Ironically before I received this printer in exchange for a review, I had it on my wishlist because I was considering it for purchase this winter. I wouldn't have regretted it if I did.
It prints amazing high quality type face and vivid colors. It was super easy to set up as well, allowing me to basically jump in feet first with printing my wildest imagination.

Great Quality Printer
I received this printer as a free sample to review and I am extremely pleased with it! The quality of the photos it prints is great, I frequent Walmart or CVS for printed photos and I’m so happy I can do them from the comfort of my own home now. I highly recommend this printer if you’re a photo lover like myself! Overall I am very happy with it the only flaw is the size it’s quite large and I am having trouble finding a permanent home for it in my home

Beautiful high quality photos!
I received the Cannon imagePROGRAF PRO-1100 for free in exchange for providing my review. I would like to first point out that this is not a photo printer for beginners unless you are willing to put the time in to learn about high quality printing. That being said, I felt it was easy to understand the set up by following the prompts when the printer is first turned on. It did take about 10 minutes for it to go through the initial set up process and then running the print head alignment. It does go through a lot of the ink when first starting up. I would not recommend turning the printer off as it would take up a lot more ink to start again. It is quite loud when printing, I believe it’s due to the vacuum fan that holds the paper in place.
The print quality is where this printer really impressed me. It shows deeper hues of blacks and grays then I was expecting, much more noticeable than my old printer. The colors are bright and clear. I love the borderless print option. I used Cannon’s Professional Print and Layout software which was easy to use.
Overall, the only drawbacks are the ink consumption amounts and the noise level.
I love the quality of the photos and the included software makes it easy to use. I would recommend this to serious photographers looking to make high quality prints at home.

Love This Printer!
This printer is amazing! I really love it and am excited for all of the great gallery ready prints I will be able to create. This printer is perfect for my business and personal needs. *I received this printer for free to review.
The set up of the Canon Direct Pro 1100 was easy. I was walked through each step and did not run into any issues. It synced with my computer and Wi-Fi seamlessly. The print quality right away was incredible. The colors and detail are better than the local printing services I have used in the past. Colors are true to the image without any distortion or variation which makes it a lot more reliable and takes out the guesswork I have experienced with other printers. The number of ink cartridges (12) allows for the images to be printed with the perfect shades.
The size of this printer is large (28.5 inches wide, 71 lbs)! It is big and heavy so plan ahead as to where you will keep it. I was surprised by the size, so am still searching for something sturdy to make its permanent home. The printer isn't very loud, so it can be operating while other things are going on close by.
So far I am extremely happy with this printer and the quality of images it prints in a reasonable amount of time. This is an extremely high quality printer, plus the ink cartridges are expensive to replace, so I would definitely not plan to use this as an every day printer, but rather as a specialty printer or for a niche business.

Next Gen iPF 17" Printer
I actually bought this printer. I was not given it free to test. It is to replace an old Pro-1000 which I wore out, so I am very experienced with this class printer and this Canon product niche. Installation was far easier than the Pro-1000 when I installed it years ago. There was only one minor glitch with the printer driver which was probably my fault. It actually installs the right profile for glossy paper (Plus Glossy II A) instead of a profile for dye ink (Plus Glossy II). The software for the printer is getting more amateur and less pro though. Some of the major Canon tools are not installed from the printer installer. One has to go to this Canon website to install all the associated software. The prints, as expected, are gorgeous. I have not printed enough yet to see the improvement from new generation pigment ink. The size, weight, appearance, use, etc are exactly the same of the Pro-1000 which this printer replaced. It uses the same MC-20 maintenance cartridge. What is new is the ink set and the improvement in the quality of the prints that results. I will enjoy this printer for many years.

Great produc!
For this review , I was sent a canon image prograf printer for free. The product was easy to download. The only issue I have is the size. It's a very large and heavy printer. I'm currently working on converting it to print designs for my t-shirt business. Overall this product is effiencient and easy to use.

How will you be using this printer?
I was provided the Canon Direct Pro 1100 for the purposes of this review. The opinions expressed are entirely my own based on my experience using the product.
The first thing I noticed about this printer was the weight of it. I struggled moving this printer from my porch into my office. The set-up process was very simple and connecting to their mobile app was very user friendly. This printer offers print quality like I have never seen before. I was amazed that I was able to print pictures at home that were in such high resolution. For someone that is required to print on demand at home for their business, this would be an excellent option.
If you aren't running a printing business or need to do high scale prints at home, this printer is not for you. The ink/maintenance cost can be very pricey. Also while this printer is very fast, it can be very noisy as well while in use.
Overall, for someone that needs professional level printing and high quality output, this is an excellent option. For casual printers, I recommend looking elsewhere.

Great printer with great features that takes up a lot of space
I received this printer for free in exchange for a test and review. I really like this printer I often print materials during the week from my own personal art projects and photography and for marketing at work I was really impressed with the quality of the print of this printer and how easy it was to set up and use, the only downfall is that is very big and takes a lot of space in your home, but that is to be expected with the quality and print size that this printer provides. I would recommend this printer and I’m using it for all of my projects. I have yet to look into the cost to replace the ink but so far it’s going strong and I assume that would be a downfall if you’re using it for a personal fun printer rather than having it in an office or professional setting.

The Mac Daddy of Printers!!
This amazing printer was given too me in exchange for my honest opinion on the product. I am thrilled with this printer. At first, it was intimidating to get such a large box for a novice but all that melted away quickly when I saw it was a lot easier to set up then I thought. And once I did, I was SHOCKED at how this thing prints. I never believed I could get such color and saturation. The precision in my pics had really taken me by surprise. I HIGHLY recommend anyone going in for a better type printer to give this one a go. This product will truly give you beautiful pieces of artwork.

Amazing Quality Photos With This Printer!
I received this printer for free in exchange for my honest opinion and review. The pros & cons in my opinion:
Pros:
Amazing print quality: The color, saturation, and detail are all incredible—it feels like you’re getting professional-level prints at home, which is perfect for printing artwork, personal photos, vacation photos, etc. (You won't need to order photo prints or enlargements anymore!)
Works for everything: This printer can print anything and with great results.
Easy set-up: Even though the printer is large & seems intimidating, the setup was easier than expected, even if you’re not tech-savvy.
Long-lasting ink (so far): The ink has held up really well so far, but time will tell...
Cons:
It's BIG: The printer is definitely on the bulky side, so you'll need to have the space for it—this isn’t a compact printer.
Ink might get very costly: While the ink has lasted so far, I can see it being expensive to replace if you’re using the printer for a lot of personal projects instead of work or professional use.

Great overall Printer
I recieved the Cannon Dorect Pro 1100 in exchange for a honest review. The printer quality is awesome for printing photos. There are about 12 different inks so the color range is perfect. Set up was pretty easy but it did take some time. Initially printing was a little tricky, making sure I had the paper the right way (user error) but once I got the hang of it, it was super easy. I have printed photos, homeschool crafts, and regular paper items. I highly recommend this printer to photographers and DIY'ers.

Not the easiest to set up with multiple downloads and reboots
The ink cartridges are different than the 1000. Connected and set up with the iPhone app fairly quickly. Then tried the same with the PC. Struggled for hours. Eventually gave up trying to do it wirelessly. Came back a few days later and it just worked. Weird but good.

imagePROGRAPH PRO-1100 is a winner
imagePROGRAF Pro-1100 was purchased to replace the Pro-1000 since the printhead 'shuttle' seized. The Pro-1100 gives better colors and monochromes than the Pro-1000. It is quiet, easy to operate, and can handle more paper types via the top feed than the Pro-1000. The Pro-1100 images are an improvement over the Pro-1000. So far-so good. If possible, I keep the Pro-1100 powered on as too many 'power on/power' off cycles decreases the life of most inkjet printers.

Not for beginners: Entry level professional/ "Prosumer" Printer
As the title says this printer is not for beginners, I got this product back in March 2025 and began trying to use it, I was getting some prints to come out well, but often the colors wouldn't be correct, due to my lack of skill using pro level inkjet printers.
What do I mean by this is a Professional level printer/ "prosumer" , If you are looking for something to print your family photos, DO NOT BUY this. this is not for you. This is for someone who is looking to elevate their budding professional photography sphere.
The set up for the product was easy and straight forward, so 5/5 stars there.
The basics of the printer are easy to follow, and the applicable/ secondary software is easy to find so 5/5 stars there.
The colors are phenomenal, when you know what you are doing so 5/5 there
The printer's price is fine for what you are getting, my major gripe is not being able to buy a 12 pack of ink? having to add each induvial one to the cart is annoying, but the pro-1000 has 12 packs of ink for sale.
Ok on to the things I do not like. I have some 4x6" Hahnemule fine art papers, that, due to being baryta coated papers need to be put in the manual feed tray. this makes a boarded print very very difficult to produce. not impossible, but a significant amount of work. printing 4x6 on other photo papers is extremely easy because it defaults to the top feed, I may need to change paper driver settings when printing to do this, but I fear the prints won't look as good
I also do not like how the settings for the paper are simply generic names like heavy weight or luster. I think they need to put the paperweights/ density with the names. I have also looked into the paper manufactures too and some provide decent guidelines for their paper on specific printers, its just very tedious when you are trying 3-4 different paper-types for a specific image.
The final thing is making sure you do a manual nozzle check out of the box, and do ir periodically as you will get some banding when you print things with solid blocks of color such as a clear blue skies. this issue does seem to be fixed when you intentional select "unidirectional" printing too.
If I can, I will add color calibrated images of prints on different mediums with a not as to what I printed the image on.
overall I am very satisfied with this printer, it's my first prog-rade printer. As I sell more prints I will look to move up tot he 4100 or something eventually, when I am ready to print and sell larger images. I will keep this one until it no longer functions.

Buy it or a wider version!
Been putting this baby through its paces and I’ve been thoroughly impressed. I just printed a 17”x 6’ wide print and it looks amazing. I have tried about seven paper finishes and they all look gorgeous. Love it!!
