Fit like it's supposed to
I bought this lens hood directly from Cannon, because the previous one I had bought screwed to the threads on the lens, which I did not like. This screws on the lens also, but it uses the baloney type threads which are on the outside of the lens. What does this do for you, someone may ask. Well it stays squared up on the lens where the other brands do not. It's kind of hard to explain, but it is way better. It also comes off easily and the lens cap still works wit it because it attaches on the outside threads as I stated earlier.

Light control with hood
Easy to attach and take off. The size is perfect for videography for indoor taping. Since using this hood, the videos I make have better lighting control. It keeps unwanted light out. I do recommend this hood if you have the Canon 80D with kit lens.
