Rated 5 out of 5 by from Still amazing. I upgraded to this from my 1st generation Rebel. I love my old camera-which I still use. It is still great. This new one does not disappoint. My old lenses are compatible. The new lens with image stabilization is amazing. It’s a great camera.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great entry digital SLR camera. Great entry digital SLR camera with bright viewfinder and full manual control for students of photography. I added a Cannon 40mm 2.8 for point and shoot. But a beginner should add a 50mm prime lens IMO. Get the bulb cable for long exposures for maximum creativity. I have found manual focus useless compared to my film cameras, the autofocus just works.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Camera I received this camera as a high school graduation gift, and I already love it. The instruction manual and different settings were a little difficult to get used to, but the hardware and buttons made the transitions very easy. I've been taking as many opportunities as possible to gain experience in quite a few different types of photography, and this camera has made all of the photos I've taken high quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Decent entry level camera, but has a huge flaw My wife bought me this as a Father’s Day gift in 2020. As the intensity of my hobby grew I started to purchase new lenses, filters, and accessories. One accessory was a “universal” speed light. Unbeknownst to me the Rebel t7 was designed to work with ONLY cannon flashes. No other camera maker does this. This small but extremely frustrating flaw is a major reason why my future cameras we not be Cannons. I’ll probably go with Sony for my future purchases. I am disappointed with Cannon and hope other potential customers are made aware of this intentional design flaw prior to making a purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A huge disappointment I purchased this camera model for a friend wanting to get into photography. Having owned previous Canon Camera's I thought this was a no brainer, BOY WAS I WRONG!!!! This model of Canon has no direct wifi to computer ability, you have to download an app to upload to a site than MIGHT sync to your computer, if you can read through the technobabble and figure out what it's saying. Then you have to manually select each individual photo and wait an insanely long time for the uploads, of which you can only do 50 at a time. I have not figured out how to sync it to my computer and I don't think I'll waste my time. It'll be easier to just download it from the SD Card, Boy I wish eyfi hadn't gone out of business. On the plus side it does take great pictures.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from best starter camera ever. lemme explain... 19 years old, i tried for 4 years in high school to get into a photography class. all i got out of it was a half of a year of Calligraphy, and one year of Media Arts (graphic designing as well. when i bought this camera right before quarantine happened, it was the easiest camera i have worked with and it has helped me start my own business. i 100% recommended this camera if you decide you would like to either start learning about photography or go even further and to bigger things!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Canon T7 If you are just getting into photography, this is an AWESOME camera to start with. It is a very affordable camera that uses lenses that the expensive cameras use. If you buy this camera, once you get used to it and very comfortable with it, you can upgrade to a nice prime lens to up your game. The lens that you buy can then be used on another canon camera you later may buy (exept the EOS R series. After all this is a very great camera to start your photography journey on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Poor Product support Just purchased the Rebel T7 from the Canon store. After that it has been frustrating trying to set up the Camera wirelessly to connect to either my Macbook or Windows Surface. This model does not even figure in the list of EOS cameras. I wonder if Canon has stopped supporting this model, is it being phased out? I also feel sore that Canon reduced $50 on the price even before I had received my camera so it probably is correct that Canon will phase out this model. I have searched the Canon forum , Youtube, etc to try and get a solution but I am yet to find it. Regretfully , my earlier DSLR was a Canon so I have only compatible lenses and cannot shift to any other platform. Overall very poor experience, not expected from a reputed Manufacturer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it! I got this for myself for my birthday and I love it! The only thing I don’t like is the continuous shutter in sports mode isn't very fast. I also don’t like how the WiFi thing is set up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid little beginner camera For the purposes of taking still frame art reproduction photos, it is a solid beginner camera. The photos i took worked out really well shooting strictly with natural light (no professional lighting system and moderate editing in lightroom.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointed. Really. I was given this camera as a gift and was so excited to have my first personal camera after borrowing for years. I was HIGHLY disappointed that there was no audio input to the camera. I need that audio input too. Other than that, it’s a good starter camera for photo. Just not video (which I needed it for).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from If you sell this in stores, you should offer support for the productTh This was a replacement camera for an old digital rebel. Same sort of camera, just updated a bit, because I hadn't been able to use my old one for several years, it was broken, and this was the most affordable one available... can I connect this to my new computer? NO. I used to be able to just plug in a cord (had to use my old one, because this one didn't have one), and download my photos. It doesn't work that way now. Can I connect it to my computer via the wifi it is connected to? NO. Can I get my photos off here at all? I managed to transfer a few to my phone, but that doesn't help me here. I need them on my computer. I can't return this, because the company that sold it to a family member, doesn't allow returns on opened electronics. I loved my old camera, but I can barely use this one. I've downloaded programs from the site, including one that is supposed to connect to the camera via wifi (?) and nothing is working, so I cannot use the photos I take. This is incredibly disappointing, we can't afford a newer camera, and this used to work! My model that didn't have wifi, that is.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Okay, sorry Don't post my previous review. I am tired, and finally figured it out. I had to disable the wifi, if I connected it to my computer. I did that, and it automatically gave me the option to download my pictures. I'm relieved, because I love my camera.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Flash Crippled I canot under any circumstances recommend this camera. Canon decided to FORCE T7 owners to purchase over priced Canon name brand flases and thereby excluded a whole array of creative lighting options from their users.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Do not buy this camera if you plan on attaching a flash Canon is now manufacturing this and other models to not allow any 3rd party flash or flash attachments to work with the camera. That means you have to buy their products. Trouble is their products are super expensive and they don't have everything you might need! I bought 2 of these for my school to show students how to use studio lighting. Canon does not make any flash adapters that I can use to trigger my studio lights. I have wasted hundreds of dollars of my school's money on these cameras.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Camera I have ever had! I have owned dozens of Canon Cameras from professional film ones then pocket digital point and shoot. I consider myself a semi professional and love this camera. It does everything from manual settings to totally automatic. The pictures are great, the down load is a breeze. It is so simple to operate, it took me a few minutes to figure it out. The owners manual is very clear and simple to follow. The lens is perfect for most photos but I will be getting the longer zoom lens in the near future.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Hasn't been good Bought it as it came out. Quality was so bad we sent it in for repair. Worked first with someone in the phone support. Sent photos in, and he agreed there was a problem. The folks who inspected the camera said there was no problem found. It now sits pretty much unused. We have an older model that takes far better photos.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Upgrade I just replaced my t6 with the t7. The functions are identical but I have to say you really cam see a difference in the picture quality. The 24.1 Megapixel T7 is great for a beginner or even a second camera for more advanced shooters.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I wouldn’t buy this again I bought this in November 2019. In November 2020, I charged the battery and replaced it and my camera would not power on. I have purchased new batteries, fully charged them, and still my camera will not power on. I had barely used it when this began to happen and I am very careful with it. My warranty, of course, had expired by the time the trouble began. I am awaiting assistance with this issue. This is unacceptable considering how little I had used this camera.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Takes nice pics I’m still trying to figure out how to use it, but it seems pretty good. I think at this point auto shooting works best for me. Manual is pretty hard to remember the millions of details. The only thing I don’t really like so far is the door to the as card and battery isn’t that easy to open.

Tested it out in the park in our neighborhood a few times already. Looking forward to taking some more great pics. If only this darn pandemic would go away already so that we can have total freedom and more options of places to go to take some amazing pics and videos. Very happy with the purchase!! #MyNewHobby :

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Only records 12 minutes of video Nowhere in the advertising I read did it say the video recording was limited to 4 gig or 30 minutes, which ever comes first. However that is the case. There is a hack using an intervalometer, but the shutter button needs enabled. Canon has even blocked that. Does take great pictures, but should not have been advertised as being video capable. Dishonest IMO

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great camera for beginners and amateurs. Bought a month ago. Love it. I bought the refurbished camera and used the special deal to buy the 70-300mm zoom lens. I love the presets and the auto-focus. I am a total amateur and have used the presets to take some pretty good pictures. If I ever want to enter my own settings I can do so. This is a great camera for amateur photographers.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for Beginners I have been using my iPhone 7plus to take very nice photos, but I wanted to be more creative with better lenses and the ability to take some professional looking shots. Therefore, I purchased this entry level camera with a 18mm to 135mm lens. It is perfect for my needs. The camera takes beautiful photos and is easy to hold. There are a lot of online videos one can watch to teach the various settings which can be intimidating. But the key is practice. Keep shooting. I recommend this camera for someone wanting to learn photography.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good, basic digital camera I bought this as an upgrade to my previous Canon Powershot, which is now over 10 years old. My current use is for PR photos that are high dpi (300 or more. So far, after some trial and error, including figuring out the self-timer, I've had positive results. I feel that the manual could be more detailed, especially for someone like myself who is not a beginner, but not as familiar with all the terminology. One suggestion is to set up a glossary of terms online, including acronyms. I also had an issue with trying to purchase Canon accessories - all the ones I was interested in were out of stock so I ended up purchasing them through Amazon (a camera bag and a cable to be able to download photos to my computer).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for beginners! I am loving my camera! It's lightweight which makes it east to tote, and when I use it I feel like a pro, even though I'm still learning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Don't regret buying. Pretty good camera, getting used to its functionality and all of its features. The wifi works great and helps with my needs. I find myself panicking any time the lighting changes slightly, but it's easy to chase settings when the sun comes and goes. I wanted something good, but not overly expensive, and this is getting the job done.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Camera just stopped turning on I've only had the camera for a year and it just one day decided it wasn't going to turn on anymore. The camera has never been dropped, left on or anything. After doing some research this a common problem with all Canon cameras. Apparently, the battery compartment mechanisms are faulty (poorly made. Unfortunately, the year warranty is over so I'm stuck with an expensive useless camera. I wish I would've just spent the money on upgrading my smartphone. The cameras on the phone are way easier to figure out and the picture quality is just as nice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to Use; Great Photos I was looking for a camera that fit in between my Canon EOS 7D and my pocket point and shoot. This camera fit the bill perfectly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lousy zoom. Does not compare to my Canon SX700 HS camera. Unfortunately, I dropped it and the Lense no longer works.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful close ups I love my camera, it gives me quality photos up close and personal. However, the distance of quality photos is not impressive it just might be that I need another lens for distance.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Say Tacos! It’s definitely a really nice camera. It’s my first “professional” camera and I’ve been having a blast with it, much to the annoyance of my family and friends.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beginner with great experience I just bought my t7. I've been playing with it as a beginner and I've gotten a hang of the camera menus pretty quickly and easily. The autofocus is a bit slow but if you learned how to shoot in manual mode like me then the autofocus probably wont bother you so much because you wont be really using it often. But it has this cool little effect, the way it beeps and targets within the viewfinder before it shoots is pretty cool ; kinda like im targeting and shooting out of a tank (Canon) lol Extremely happy and so excited to start my photography business with this little beast. Thank you Canon for making such an amazing entry level tool that I can have confidence in shooting!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from 2 lens Kit will it preform? so the camera is great for the price. it will grow as you do since most everything that improves is inside the lens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great upgrade I bought a kodak 15 years ago and still works great, but my youngest wanted a camera so i gave it to him. I purchased this Canon Rebel T7 on a spur and love it. Right out of the box and using it. Checking out the lenses are gonna be fun as my old kodak didnt have any to use.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ease of Use, Excellent pictures I bought this camera yesterday after having the original EOS Rebel for about 10 years. It was like going from walking to running. I am not a professional photographer, but I am the family photographer. It is so easy to use. I love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Battery pack Just bought the Rebel T7 , this is my 3rd canon camera that I have owned . This camera is nice , but the battery pack that came with it is terrible . The life of the battery is very short . I have never had this bad of a battery in my previous cameras . Maybe I got a “ bad “ battery , if so , maybe Canon will replace this current battery with a new one .
