Great camera for beginners and amateurs.
Bought a month ago. Love it. I bought the refurbished camera and used the special deal to buy the 70-300mm zoom lens. I love the presets and the auto-focus. I am a total amateur and have used the presets to take some pretty good pictures. If I ever want to enter my own settings I can do so. This is a great camera for amateur photographers.

Does not compare to my Canon SX700 HS camera. Unfortunately, I dropped it and the Lense no longer works.

Great entry digital SLR camera.
Great entry digital SLR camera with bright viewfinder and full manual control for students of photography. I added a Cannon 40mm 2.8 for point and shoot. But a beginner should add a 50mm prime lens IMO. Get the bulb cable for long exposures for maximum creativity. I have found manual focus useless compared to my film cameras, the autofocus just works.

This was a replacement camera for an old digital rebel. Same sort of camera, just updated a bit, because I hadn't been able to use my old one for several years, it was broken, and this was the most affordable one available... can I connect this to my new computer? NO. I used to be able to just plug in a cord (had to use my old one, because this one didn't have one), and download my photos. It doesn't work that way now. Can I connect it to my computer via the wifi it is connected to? NO. Can I get my photos off here at all? I managed to transfer a few to my phone, but that doesn't help me here. I need them on my computer. I can't return this, because the company that sold it to a family member, doesn't allow returns on opened electronics. I loved my old camera, but I can barely use this one. I've downloaded programs from the site, including one that is supposed to connect to the camera via wifi (?) and nothing is working, so I cannot use the photos I take. This is incredibly disappointing, we can't afford a newer camera, and this used to work! My model that didn't have wifi, that is.

Okay, sorry
Don't post my previous review. I am tired, and finally figured it out. I had to disable the wifi, if I connected it to my computer. I did that, and it automatically gave me the option to download my pictures. I'm relieved, because I love my camera.

Poor Product support
Just purchased the Rebel T7 from the Canon store. After that it has been frustrating trying to set up the Camera wirelessly to connect to either my Macbook or Windows Surface. This model does not even figure in the list of EOS cameras. I wonder if Canon has stopped supporting this model, is it being phased out? I also feel sore that Canon reduced $50 on the price even before I had received my camera so it probably is correct that Canon will phase out this model. I have searched the Canon forum , Youtube, etc to try and get a solution but I am yet to find it. Regretfully , my earlier DSLR was a Canon so I have only compatible lenses and cannot shift to any other platform. Overall very poor experience, not expected from a reputed Manufacturer.

Easy to put pitchers on pc.
Great camera, I got a 256gb microSDXC uhs-1 card and a usb to sd card reader from bestbuy. So easy to transfer my pitchers to the pc. Look supper. My first Canon and realy happy with it. Would recomend to take battery out after use to make it last longer.

Great starter camera!
Amazing starter camera! I'm rating it a 4 because it's a bit disappointing that I'm unable to transfer or download the videos I took in Movie Mode to my smartphone. Other than that, this camera is awesome, and it's taught me a lot- I love it!

Great kit
I bought my camera from Best Buy last year November and all honesty I have no issues with it at all. It’s a great starter camera for me. I’ve used other more expensive models and honestly this is perfect for beginners and some entry level amateurs

Battery pack
Just bought the Rebel T7 , this is my 3rd canon camera that I have owned . This camera is nice , but the battery pack that came with it is terrible . The life of the battery is very short . I have never had this bad of a battery in my previous cameras . Maybe I got a “ bad “ battery , if so , maybe Canon will replace this current battery with a new one .

Beginner's Camera
I bought this camera as a beginner's camera. I'm pleased with its performance and its good for what I use it for. I have bought a few lenses 24 mm pancake lens and 70-300 telephoto lens. I plan on buying a 50 mm lens soon and taking a class soon.

Way too many functions to be considered a beginner’s camera , I can’t even get pictures to the SD card ..
I’m a little impatient , but this is a ridiculous amount of functions that are not user friendly.
Definitely a regrettable purchase for me that I wouldn’t recommend.
