Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great camera and lens combo. Potential to be a great camera combo for birds and wildlife. There is a steep learning curve for a newbie to mirrorless technology. I am on my third iteration of settings working to get the animal eye focus to work and finally today I see some results paying off. This camera and lens combo is a great size, has all the functions you could want in an APS-C camera. The images are detailed and the colors vibrant. I know in time I am going to grow to love this camera.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does the job but too small! I received this kit for Christmas to replace my Canon 7D and after using it for a bit, thinking about returning it and going a different route. While it shoots great pics not sure I want to spend even more money on the lenses that go with it. The adapter works pretty good and only time will tell if it's worth it but I have over $14k in lenses and not ready to replace them with newer lenses for the mirrorless camera. Also, I have fairly large hands and the camera is just so darn small that I almost dropped it several times. The work around is a grip like I have for my 7D however for some reason Canon decided NOT to make a grip for the R7. I feel like I'm going backwards instead of forward using Canon cameras. When you compare the two R7 vs. 7D I feel like I get a bigger bang for my buck than with a R7. Feels like and looks like a toy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from EOS R7 heaven I love the maneuverable screen, it’s quite helpful for those odd angles. Auto focus is fast and reaction time is snappy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beware of pricing strategies. They reduced the price a LOT just a few days after the return window closed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great purchasing experience, phenomenal camera Meets or exceeds expectations in all aspects. My EOS R7 arrived in record time, packaged without foam, and in as new condition. After a few test shots around the house, I can only say that the learning curve will be steep. Having said that, the R7 should be considered, at minimum, a semi-pro camera. This amateur is excited to expand my horizons!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Had to Grab It Just started using this camera I have been lusting after for months. When a refurbished R7 became available I just had to grab it. It looked brand new when received and came very well packed. Now I need to learn all of its whistles and bells.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent camera at refurbished price Have used it a few times now mostly indoors without a flash. It is an amazing camera. Very sharp, clear focused pics. Fast, accurate autofocus. Need to spend more time and still learn all the features. With the refurbished price and additional discounts, it is a great deal. Looking forward to trying out some sports/action shots soon. I would highly recommend the refurbished products direct from Canon. I've purchased a refurbished lens previously as well and have had no problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from You won't get everything in the kit, and they won't respond back Really wish i didn't have to do this. The camera itself Im enjoying. But they didnt ship everything in the kit, and I've now contacted customer services three times and still no response. It's a cheap $8 lens cover... not a huge deal. But Canon refusing to give me what I paid for and refusing to answer my emails... thats a very bad look for a company. I certainly can't recommend this to anyone else.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Glad I stepped up to the EOS R7 This is a great camera. I could not tell it was reconditioned instead of new. I have taken a couple thousand photos so far and am very pleased with the results. Still much to learn to take advantage of the advanced features. Best camera I have ever owned. The included 18-150 lens handles 90% of my current needs, so lens swaps are rare. I recommend it to anyone who is ready to step up from an entry level unit.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleasantly Surprised Extremely impressed with the condition of this camera. This was was second refurbished purchase from Canon, the first one was a 40mm EF Lens for my T6i, and was equally impressive. The camera arrived in a brown box, with everything wrapped separately in plastic bags. The camera had a minor smudge on the back of the screen, and that was about it. Took me about 2 milliseconds to wipe it off. After testing the basic functions and options of the camera, I took about 12 to 15 random pictures to see if everything was working as it should be and it all did. While going through options afterwards, I realized that there is a built-in shutter count in the options now, which was not present in my t6i. After my random pictures, the counter was at 28 shutters, meaning the camera originally had around 15 pictures taken before it was sent to me. I was not expecting the shutter count to be this low, but I will gladly take it. All in all, so far, I have zero complaints. Hopefully soon I will be able to go out and take some pictures, just waiting for the weather to warm up a little.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Please with this Camera! I upgraded to the R7 mirrorless from a T7i DSLR and I couldn’t be more pleased. I’m still learning all the great features of the R7, but it’s a powerhouse for a camera at that price point. I was hesitant about buying a refurbished, but the price directly through Canon with the lens kit was too good to pass up. Not only did I receive the camera within two days of ordering it, but upon careful inspection one would never know it was refurbished. Looks absolutely brand new and functions perfectly and has Canon warranty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Rep[lacing My Trusty 60D The representative was knowledgeable and quite helpful. Shipping was fast as was setting up the camera. I've not had a chance to actually use the camera. I am certain it will receive quite a workout when I'm in the UK for 3 weeks. It does have a reputation to live up to considering the workout my 60D has had over the past 19 years. The camera is quite light and much smaller than my 60D, It will take me some time to get used to the smaller lens barrel and the smaller camera body (the body gets a bit lost in my large hands). I do like that the camera has two SD slots. I've never filled an entire card but it's good to know that I've essentially doubled the storage in the camera. I find that the password security is a bit odd. I suppose I can see the purpose but, in my experience, security on my cameras has never really been an issue. The password function is a bit kludgy. If each time I wan to use the camera I need to go through the password entry using that interface. It's not worth it. I've turned off the password function. All in all, I'm quite happy and I look forward to a long and enjoyable life with this camera.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Little Camera Bought this camera with the 18-150 lens last June when it first became available. It is small and light. I love the FV mode that allows you to manually set aperture or speed and adjusts all the rest of the settings. I used it all during Mardi Gras in New Orleans recently and the weight was really an advantage. The focus nailed a lot of shots under the duress of shooting in large crowds. The colors were spectacular. Carrying it was a breeze.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This camera is a gem! This is an excellent camera! I also have "big boy" full frame cameras and lots of fancy fast lenses -- but I just love this camera! It is compact, takes sharp perfectly focused pictures, can track the fastest birds and find the eye of any person that I photographinsg. No, it is not full frame -- and that is great. I can travel with this body, a tiny (inexpensive) RF 16 mm f/2.8, maybe throw in a 50mm f/1.8 or a 35mm/f/2.o , and the tiny yet nice kit zoom 18-150 and I have a great travel kit. If you want to hike or ride across Nepal with a FF camera and full frame glass -- be my guest. But this little gem takes beautiful photographs! And for fun, throw it on a 100-400 EF L lens with an adapter, and the R7's high resolution sensor, the tenacious autofocus and rapid fire drive will create some great nature photographs. ( IMPORTANT: The auto focus works flawlessly on my EF lenses with the canon RF/EF adapter.) It is my favorite camera right now. I just love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great walk around and wildlife system I've had the EOS R7 and 18-150mm Kit for just a month capturing almost 4,000 images; mostly birds and wildlife. I don't shoot video. The tracking AF and Image Stabilizing features work very well with the RFs 18-150mm and RF 100-400mm. It's fast and captures sharp images. I also appreciate the lighter weight and smaller size. It will share shooting time with the EOS RP .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dead Pixel on LCD Screen I received the R7 in the mail about 29 hours ago. I took about 60 shots on it yesterday. Woke up today excited to use it, and noticed i have a bright neon green dead pixel on the LCD screen. it’s only the screen, not the sensor, but still annoying seeing as it’s brand new. it’s also alot more noticeable in person than it is in the picture. its in the top left hand corner above camera icon and Av. again, its hard to see in picture, but in person its popping green.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Canon R-7 It's difficult to rate at this point, because I don't actually have it. I only used it for 2 weeks. I had to send it in with my new 100-400 lens. It was determined that it was the lens causing the the problem. But when it actually did work--I loved it!! I'm hoping to get it back soon.
