Love it.
I love this machine. It is easy to learn. I watched a few tutorials on utube so it was very easy to operate. I do wish it would take a 5 x 7 hoop as well.

Great sewing and embroidery machine. It took us a little while to get it set up and running, but it works great. It is nice how it has an app and can connect wireless to to wifi. It sews nicely and the embroidery is fun to do and see all the patterns you can do.

A step up
The Brother Se700 runs smoothly and a great introductory to embroidery. It has many built in fonts on the machine. For sewing it’s a step up from my beginner machine and able to see through denim. I will say though that registering the embroidery/sewing duo with Artspira took forever. The instructions weren’t clear, so I had to watch a YouTube video to complete the process. Once you get past this the machine runs like a beast. It’s easy to pick up on and the screen is also touch screen!

Absolutely love that this is a sewing machine and embroider all in one! Super simple to change from one to the other! Love that there’s an app for you to download, so you can upload anything you want to the embroider part of this! The touch screen is super simple to use as well! Not hard to follow the instructions, super simple if you somewhat have an idea about sewing! Absolutely love this machine! Highly recommend! Even for beginners !

Another hobby I didnt know I had
Well, guess I've got another hobby. I've been having an absolute blast with this machine! This is my first embroidery machine and I honestly wish I went with the straight embroidery machine since I already have a sewing machine but I already know I'm gonna get a bigger one in the future so that one will be the full embroidery machine.
Since I've never embroidered anything before I had no idea what I was getting into. Boy oh boy, is there a lot to learn! More about how to embroider everything and not using the machine since the machine is super simple to use. The stabilizers, needle size, thread weight, tension, HOOPING! My god the hooping. It takes a lot of practice and patience but I've got most of it down and have so far made some custom sports teams logos for tshirts and a few patches.
The app was at first unusable for me but has since started working. It is, however, very limited in what it can do so I almost never use it. I really wish the machine could connect to your phone with bluetooth and alert you whenever theres an error while it's working or when a project is done that way there I dont have to stay near the machine if I'm doing a bigger design. Outside of that, the SE700 is a wonderful machine and is absolutely perfect for beginners! I know 100% I'm getting a bigger machine soon, something that can do 4x7 or bigger most likely. Hopefully the SE700 gets some accessories soon like a hat hoop but I would 100% recommend this machine.

Machine is so advanced,
What an absolutely beauty this machine is. Former seamstress by trade and always used older sewing machines. This machine does so much and I am learning. There’s the wireless function preset embroidery .. still trying to use this. The win for me so many different stitches. The extra accessor included.. my family has already requested some embroidery pieces. Absolutely in love with this sewing machine.

1st time sewing
I'm a first time sewer. This machines is easy to operate, runs quiet and fast. I have been watching the tutorial of how to use one white website and OL. Easy set up, wifi wizard, touch screen and APP easy to follow. The bobbins winds very easy and smooth. The embroidery is a little hard so I read all the manuals to understand it better. Machines runs great and I do love it. I have been embroidering canvas bags and shirts.

Lightweight with lots of functionality
I am a novice sewer and must admit, the Brother SE700 was intimidating when I first got it out of the box. I did take my time reading the manual and played around with all the various buttons before attempting my first project. I would also suggest visiting the Brother website. It is a wealth of information and includes videos as well as diagrams to help familiarize yourself with the machine. I love that this machine is self threading. It took me a couple of attempts but have it figured out now. The embroidery function is amazing. The Artspira app is easy to use and has tons of functionality. I look forward to personalizing gifts for friends and family for years to come.

Touchscreen ease with so many amazing features!
I absolutely love my Brother SE700 embroidery and sewing machine! So many great features including the bright LED light, the 10 styles of one step auto buttonholes, 10 built-in embroidery fonts, 103 sewing stitches and the ability to import so many other embroidery designs. The touchscreen makes sewing an easy endeavor. I did have a moment when a button turned red and the pedal wouldn’t work. After troubleshooting, I learned if I touched the touchscreen the machine would automatically fix the issue. I was so happy to see that I can import all of the character designs my family loves. The lever to switch the speed of the stitches is so conveniently located in the front. There’s even automatic needle threading! I am exploring the many options and designs within the app. This machine is a must for anyone who loves sewing and embroidering. I was a little intimidated by the extra features but the touchscreen makes everything so easy. I highly recommend this fantastic machine.
Pros: 4x4 embroidering, bright LED light, 103 sewing stitches, ability to import new designs, automatic needle threading, easy stitch speed change, easy to use touchscreen, auto buttonhole choices, so many great features. It is compatible with Design Database Transfer. I also used the Artspira app and the Brother iBroidery platform.
Cons: No hard case for the top. It does come with a soft dustcover that the handle slips though for easy carrying.

My first embroidery product!
This is the first embroidery machine that I have ever owned and I am beyond impressed. If you are a newbie interested in this machine, I highly recommend it due to its durability and ease of use. The instructions are very straightforward and easy to follow and I had no issues setting it up. It will take some time to explore all of the features. However, this product has exceeded my expectations and I recommend it for all experience levels.

Quality machine with many features
This Brother SE700 Sewing Machine has many bells and whistles and a lot to like. As soon as you open the box, you can tell this machine was designed and built with users in mind. Every detail was thought out and this machine can do everything you want it to, and much more.
My biggest piece of advice is to learn how to use the machine. There are a lot of buttons, knobs, pieces, and parts. It can be pretty intimidating if you don’t know what you’re doing. I suggest reading the manual if this is all new for you, but I found that watching videos online was the most helpful for me. To see someone else do it and then trying it yourself will give you the confidence you need.
My first project was to embroider my kids names on the back of their sports jerseys. I used a few practice shirts before doing it on the actual jersey. After a few trial runs, I was able to successfully embroider their names.
The machine, for the most part, is quiet. It does vibrate a bit, so I recommend using it on a solid table or surface. The screen on the side is a nice feature that gives you the options and info you need. It takes a bit of getting used to but it is fairly intuitive. I found the weight of it to be moderate and easy enough to move around by yourself if you need to.
In my opinion, this is a very quality high sewing and embroidery machine. You can tell it’s made with quality parts and is designed for ease of use, once you get the hang of it. I think this is a slightly advanced machine, so if you’re brand new to the hobby, you may want something a bit more simple. I highly recommend this Brother machine to others who are looking further their sewing skills. There are many settings and options to keep you busy, learning and experimenting for a very long time!

Still learning
As the title states, I’m still learning this new machine. However, so far so good. It functions really well. It‘s nice to have the basic sewing functions but have the ability to embroider all in one. The embroidery part is something I’m still getting the hang of. I’m excited to now be able to embroider my own things. I also enjoy the little screen it has on it.

I do not have any experience with sewing or embroidery, but I have been looking to learn for awhile. It was a steep learning curve for me due to my lack of familiarity, but it has been gradually progressing. My projects are getting better and more elaborate. The quality produced by this machine is great. I am loving how fun and economical this product is and how much joy it has brought to my life. I would highly recommend!

Fantastic Machine~ Highly Recommended
I got this SE700 from Amazon to review for them. I have been using a Janome sewing/embroidery machine of some sort since the 1980s, so a lot of experience but this was my first time using a Brother. I went through all the stitches and they all sewed out beautifully. I did some embroidery and it came out perfectly. All the stitches were perfect and delicate making a great sew-out. The manuals that come with the machine are great and will help you to know not only how to use the machines, but how to sew the basics so this machine is good for beginners as well as sewist that need to replace their machines. The only thing that I didn't try yet was downloading a design to sew out. Personally, I am thrilled with this machine as it does things that my very expense sewing/embroidery combos couldn't do back 20 years ago.

What is not to love about this Brother SE700 embroidery and sewing machine?!?! So many features and functions. I am still new to the craft of sewing, but instructions are easy to follow. Great Sewing Machine
This is one of the best Brother Sewing and Embroidery Machine I have ever owned. I’m not a professional but this machine definitely works for everyone. One of the features I love the most is being able to make logos I want on my shirts or pants or shorts.make sure to get good quality thread; it’s a must. also having a lcd screen makes things so much easier to choose the stitch I want. Downloading the app on your phone gives you endless possibilities on anything you want to do from purses to bears to quilts and many more. Make sure to keep the machine up to date on any updates brother has will make the sewing machine work so much better. Overall this is a great brother sewing and embroidery machine I definitely recommend it to everyone!

Beautiful machine and so easy to use
I was skeptical but after losing vision in my one eye was having a really hard time threading and dealing with my old machine they I read that this machine self threads and also don't have to fish out the bobbin thread I saw this machine that does both automatically and also had embroidery which I never had done and always had been wanting to do went to my local Quality Sewing and Vacuum who gives free classes no matter where you bought your machine and now I am having a wonderful time with my Brother SE700 machine sewing and learning embroidery. I have not learned all the features yet but I am so happy with this machine !!

Great machine, but...........
I adore this machine, but you should be aware if you own a MAC computer it may not be for you. One of the features is the wifi abilities which would be awesome UNLESS you own a MAC computer. The data transfer program necessary to be able to wirelessly transfer the designs to the machine is only compatible with Windows systems. I reached out to Brother and they couldn't offer a solution other than the Artspira app. I used that program for about 30 days and I'm not a fan of the app for more reasons than I can mention here. Brother really missed the boat on this one. Given a the number MAC users are significant. I wouldn't have bought the more pricy model if I knew I couldn't use the wifi. Disappointed.

This was my starter Sewing and Embroidery machine. It was definitly a learning curve. Sadly, not all the info was available for me to try and started the Embroidery part. Had lots of set backs due to programing and how to use. I am not a computer person but willing to learn but this was not easy to navigate for me. The machine worked nice. I am still trying to figure the machine. Still nice though

Great starter machine!
Love my machine! It’s a great starter machine for people just starting in machine embroidery. I love that it’s a normal sewing machine too so if you ever need to travel with it it’s all in one!
