Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Starter Machine This was a gift from my husband so I would have something to keep me occupied during retirement. However, it blossomed into an LLC with a purchase order with a major uniform company. The only issue I had with this "baby" was changing thread colors. While I have upgraded to the Entrepreneur Pro X PR1050X, I have kept her to use for names, monograms, and single color embroidery designs. She's a great little workhorse. My only advice would be to study the limitations and be sure this will serve your needs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love it I love this machine don't get me wrong, and these are really personal pet peeves I have with it. The manuals really stink. They are printed way to small, and are impossible to use most of the time. Also with the hat hoop, The machine says to do it one way. The book says another, and the paper work says another way. I figured it out, but it was a pain in my brother. I HATE THREADING THIS MACHINE!!!. It isn't bad just different from my other brothers, and I don't like the needle threader, the one on my 780D is so much nicer. The way the machine runs is so awesome, I love the fact it basically runs like my other 2 brother machines, just on a nice lcd screen. The machine stitches beautifully I have had no problems that weren't my own (I put the bobbin in backwards), will I upgrade to the prs 1000 you bet. Do I wish I had just jumped in and bought the PRS 1000, yes. So if you are thinking of a commercial machine, and want to jump to this one to get the feel of a commercial machine. Do it, do it, do it, It hasn't let me down at all. None of them have.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my machine; stitches out great!! It is a great machine, just wished in threading the last one would be easier to see. It is hard to see the last hole with dark thread, (May just be me, have eye problems)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Have had this a year now and I'll be honest I have had this machine for a year now and there are 3 issues that really bother me with this machine. Two issues involve threading. The first is that the automatic needle threader gets bent and does not work. This happens constantly. You need a microscope and lots of time to fix it and then after finally fixing it, it happens again. Mine is now bent to the point that it is no longer fixable so I have to thread the needle by hand every time I change the thread. Not fun when your eyes are less than perfect. The second issue is changing the thread. It is a major pain. More so than the broken needle threader. I have gotten to the point that I won't buy embroidery files with many colors because of how much I hate to change the thread. I had a Brother PE770 prior to this machine and it was 1000 times easier and faster to change the thread color. Having to tie the thread to another thread and pull it through the machine is awful. No matter how tight I tie the knot (and I've tried different types of knots) the knot breaks apart somewhere in the middle of the threading process and you have to rethread the entire thing about 80% of the time. Last of all, I thought having an 8x8 embroidery area would be a big difference from a 5x7. IT IS NOT. I think this machine sews better, as in the stitches look better, than the PE770, but the PE770 is much easier to work with when it comes to threading and changing thread colors. Oh, and the way the hoop is made on this machine is HORRIBLE for doing applique. It is impossible to cut the fabric in certain areas because the hoop is set deep. If I had known everything I know now when I was shopping for a new machine, I really would have looked at something with a bigger embroidery area and a lot more ease with threading and changing thread colors.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Hobby!! Love my new PRS100, have made hats with my grandchildren's team logo and their football numbers, put initials on my granddaugters flip flops(oh were their friends impressed!) and fixed a Teddy Bear with my granddaughter's name on it. She swears she will take it everywhere she goes , even on the plane when she vacations!! It is so easy to use and has made me a very popular Grandmother!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love It...Just love it! I love this single needle embroidery machine! Even though I own the top of the line embroidery/sewing machine from another brand, I now do the majority of my embroidery designs on this machine! The back of the embroidery is so much cleaner! I have very few threads to cut whereas my other machine, it looks like a jungle in comparison. This machine It creates a beautiful stitch!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good, but needs are larger embroidery field... If this came with the ability to go wider than 8" and the needle threader hook didn't bend so often this would be a GREAT machine. The needle threader hook has given me fits since the first week I got this machine - for some reason it bends making the needle threader unusable. I was able to bend it back with a lot of patience and tweezers the first few times it happened (which literally took 30-45 each time to fix) but now it won't go back and I'm stuck manually threading the needle each time (which isn't fun on a single needle machine). Saw online other people having the same problem. I do think for the price it should have an embroidery field larger than 8x8 - I thought it would make a big difference over my previous 5x7 machine, but once I started using it I realized it really isn't that much bigger at all (and costs a TON more).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from nothing but problems i got this machine to specifically do hats... Maybe 4 have come out perfect, and the other 50 have all been a mess. It continues to keep getting worse! It will do most of the hat good and then it will only start showing the bobbin thread instead of the color thread. I have tried all the trouble shooting and have been struggling with this machine for several weeks! not worth the price tag!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Persona 100 I love my new single needle machine. The arm is the BEST feature, I can now embroider tshirts and baby items with NO fear of sewing the fabric together. Yea! Pay attention when you thread or change thread, often times the thread tangles around the bobbin winder, not a problem just remove thread off the bobbin winder. She embroiders fantastically!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So excited to have this machine! The machine is a big investment, but very worth it. The design allows for easily slipping on the bag, child's shirt, onesie, and caps. I do recommend getting the Durkee fast frames and the Durkee hat frame to go with it. I also recommend the tables that are sold with it as it allows for the project to hang in the middle allowing for easier movement of the machine. It is easy to use, the screen display is a good size and it sews beautifully. Also, the bobbin is easy to change mid-project. My only negative is that the area around the hole that the thread goes through to the needle is dark blue and makes it hard to see for my older eyes! I fixed this by putting a piece of white vinyl around the hole and also attached a small light to the area. I also find that it sews better with better thread.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beatiful Embroidery While I did receive compensation for this review my opinions are my own and I am providing an honest unbiased product review. The PRS100 is a free arm embroidery machine so doing embroidery on sleeves, hats, pant legs, socks, shoes and many other items that are not flatbed friendly embroider easily. I really like the on-board bobbin winder; I can wind a bobbin so I can have my bobbin thread match my top thread for free standing lace or two-sided embroidery, beautiful! The hopping foot gives you wonderful embroidery and if you want a free motion machine a kit is available for free motion. It is a strong, hardworking machine that gives beautiful results.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Purchase I have embroidered for years and have 3 Viking machines also but when 2 of them needed service at the same time, decided to try the Persona as I had seen some info on it on facebook from other embroiderers. Great unit as I can now do small areas easily. Kind of wish it had a bigger hoop than 8x8 but I have my other machines that will work for big items. I have done many onesies, t shirts, bags, etc already and plan to figure out the cap unit and also use the really small hoops to embroider my son in laws initials on his dress shirts (at his request) I did not get the table top part so have not tried towels due to hanging weight off unit. I did get the 5x7 hoop instead of the continuous one that came with unit and have used that also several times. Because I have embroidered a lot, was easy to learn. If you have never embroidered before, would take a little longer to get comfortable with unit, I think. I also had never had a Brother before but have bought 3 of my grand daughters Brother sewing machines/quilting machines when they were 9 to learn to sew on so was somewhat familiar with name/reputation. I also love the filtec magnetic prefilled, sideless bobbins that I can use with this machine! Having to oil it each day was something new to get used to doing as I have never had to oil a machine in the 50 years I have been sewing/ 7 years I have been embroidering.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good choice This is a good machine for doing the small projects and tight fitting items like gloves, socks. But it did come with the Hat hoop so that is a plus. The 2 only parts I do not like is the threading in the front of the machine is a dark blue and it is hard to see the hole for threading and secondly the hat placement the LED light goes away.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good up grade I enjoy the PRS100 but there isn't enough information on how to attach the hat hoop to the machine or how to put the hat on the hoop. I had to go to Utube and find videos and figure it out. Also the area #6 could use a lighter color or a small light so you can see dark threads going through the hole.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this machine I love this machine. Was disappointed that the hat hoop is no longer included with the machine as everything I’d read before purchasing indicated that it was but it is still a fantastic machine. Fits in perfectly to my Brother lineup and now I can really get things done!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Embroidrey enthusiast, I'm hooked! I am really thankful of my decision to purchase the PRS100. I am still new to machine embroidery, but I like it more & more everyday. I already had the PE770 which is a great machine as well. But I am now able to do so much more. I am embroiderying mostly for my family, but it seems that more people are liking my work, so who knows what the future holds, maybe a small business. No, no I'm enjoying my retirement too much for that.lol

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beyond amazed! This machine was my first experience with an embroidery machine so I cannot compare it to others. I've only owned a Brother sewing machine and I have always dreamed of a embroidery machine. My son works for a print shop and they were in need of someone to outsource their embroidery jobs to and I started looking into machines. This machine was half the price of any other machine I looked at. I took the chance and purchased it even though the single head worried me. It weighs 68 pounds so I couldn't bring it anywhere for classes and so I unpacked it, read the manuals, watched YouTube videos, and read blogs. I have never machine embroidered before and I was so nervous to use it but at the same time pressured because I had to start making money to pay for it. Needless to say I was amazed at how easy it was to make beautiful designs! I am having so much fun! The single head is not an issue at all. So easy to pull another color thread through. I got my first print job within a month and it was poly knit golf shirts and I was so freaked out to start. But there again I was worried for nothing! It was a total breeze. I cannot say enough great things about this machine! I purchased PE Design Next software and now I am learning how to digitize my own work. Thank you Brother, I'm now the owner of a business that I love!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Recommended for Home Embroidery It's a good little embroidery machine, Pros: Works like a dream Cons:Price--It's worth paying a little more and go on and get a multi-needle emb. machine. It's only a "single needle" requiring you to change thread spools with each color.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from OK not the best purchase ever Purchased to do hats and I have not been able to get the first hat finished. The needle removing tool and several other things were missing from the kit. Could have spent $7,000 in a better way.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Embroidery Field The machine worked perfectly although I have already returned it. I was disappointed that the largest field it would embroider was the 8 inches - I did not see anywhere in the product information that it would only embroider 8 inches. I asked about different hoops and was told none other would work. I then purchased the dream machine as it would cover more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Work horse. Best value This is the second brother embroidery machine I have purchased. The brother PRS100 is by far a superior quality. My machine runs 6-8 hours almost everyday and this machine holds up beautifully. It is precise, user friendly and fun to sew with. I couldn't be happier with my PRS100. Great value, quality machine that will keep you sewing strong.

Even decided to open my own business.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The persona prs 100 I love this machine! Semi easy to learn although needs more drtail description on using hat hoops. Needs to be easier to thread, vut all together one of brother best machine. Its affordable and easy to use and u can do so much more with it. The other free arms are very expensive that most cant afford . i would love it if they could put the camera or snow man affect on it but even without it, its still a awesome machine!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exciting I should say exciting AND intimidating. I have been in the sewing business for years on a Brother that must be 60 years old. No bells or whistles, goes forward and backwards. My new PRS100 has so many advanced features that I sat and stared at it for a day! I studied the manual and jumped in. What an amazing machine. It is very user friendly and works like a dream. I have been working on it for about three weeks and am having a blast. My suggestion for new owners - shut off your cell phone, turn off your TV, get rid of hubby and the kids and concentrate! This machine is predictable but you have to concentrate. Soooo many options. My suggestion to Brother - come up with a light we can purchse for thread guide number 6. I purchased Brother brand because of the excellent reliability of my previous machine. Let's see if this one will last 60+ years.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my upgrade! I recently upgraded from the Simplicity SE7050E to the PRS100. The stitch quality and hoop versatility is a great improvement from my old machine.Thread changes weren't a turn off from purchasing this machine since I was used to doing the same on my old machine. The only things I didn't expect were the large amounts of thread lost between changes (20- 30 in.) and the time I spend making sure my knots are secure enough to pull through the machine without having to re-thread it. But other than that, I truly love my PRS100! I have monogrammed scarves, bags and boot socks using the many hoops that come with the machine. I love the clamp style hoop that came in the box with the machine. But of all the features, the laser is my favorite. How did I ever embroider without it! Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great machine This is a great machine but it needs a more detailed tutorial video even the online and YouTube videos need more details. I picked up on it quickly but I had the SE 400 small sewing and embroidery machine from Brother before I bought this machine. Even though The classes are included with my package you find stuff you need help with after hours. I love the machine and that it was pretty easy to go from one brother machine to another and start working on your projects.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from disappointed Was so excited to get my new machine but problems started immediately. First the needle threader malfunctioned. The little thread grabber that is suppose to go through the eye of the needle is going off to the left. I have to thread by hand which is hard with bad eyesight. Also, the auto thread cutter cuts the bobbin thread too short so the machine stops and I have pull the bobbin out and lengthen the thread, put it back in, and start again. Probably minor adjustments, but totally inconvenient as the machine is downstairs and it is so heavy I cannot carry it. Both my husband and I (72 & 73 years) have bad backs and have to get someone else to carry it. Also we live 75 miles from the nearest dealer. On the positive side, it does sew well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice machine I love my Persona machine. My only complaint is that there needs to be a light installed where the thread feeds through the tiny hole down to the needle area as it is very dark and i have a hard time seeing the hole and getting the thread through to get down to the automatic threader.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this Machine I purchased this machine so that I could do hats and other items. I am really enjoying it. It is pretty simple to use. The vendor I purchased from is very helpful with questions. The manual is easy to use. That is the first place I consult when in trouble. The designs I have done so far are great. It would be nice if the hoop could be bigger, however, I knew when purchased it was only an 8x8. I really like the 8x8 hoop and have combined designed so that it is easier do more at one time. Threading is pretty easy, there is a little learning curve with the threader, but it is not that bad. I love that you can change threads by tying a knot and pulling through. Great purchase.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from So far....So good I purchased this machine in December 2016, having never embroidered. It is fairly simple to operate and sews extremely well. I love that it stops and cuts the threads before moving on to the next area. The only problem I have is the automatic threader, it seems to get bent a lot and not work. I hate to have to bring the whole machine to the dealer to get it fixed as he is over an hour away and feel that I might do more damage with the car ride that it is worth. I also wish that the hoop size was bigger than 8x8, a 10x8 would be perfect!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE my Zelda (aka a Brother PRS100) I have never been happier with a machine. Zelda is super easy to use, but still feels like she is a high-end machine. Makes life so much easier. I truly have no complaints. The only suggestion that I have is possibly some sort of light on the front of the machine to make putting the thread through the little hole easier. But, that's nothing that a flashlight doesn't take care of for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from stopped embroidery all together until prs100 I started out with a small brothers embroidery machine. I liked it but could not attach it to a computer and had to use the patterns on the machine. I upgrade to a singer futura and almost quit embroidery because that machine was horrible. I went to a local machine store and was introduced to the prs100 and knew it was the machine for me. I would recommend this piece of heaven to anyone wanting to do embroidery . I can not compliment it enough. For someone that has a hard time with sewing machines and embroidery machines as a whole, I would recommend this piece of equipment 100 times over.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Happy With Product I am happy with the product but I do have a suggestion. I think it would be very helpful if you published a DVD on how to operate the machine so the customer can have it on hand when they are learning instead of having to call in to ask questions. Other then that, I am very pleased with the machine itself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from In Love with My Persona This machine is easy to use and makes the best embroidery ever. Attended one class on use of My Persona. When I arrived home I made several embroidered examples that evening. Fun, because it is so fast. Instant results. I wanted this machine to keep stitches off my sewing machine. I will use My Persona for items up to 8" x 8" and my embroidery/sewing machine for larger embroideries. A perfect combination. Love it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Purchase I have been waiting for. The reason I bought the PRS100, I wanted to be able to embroider on caps, baskets, shoes, etc. It is easy to use just like all of the other brother embroidery machines. It is fun, fun, fun and I would recommend this machine to anyone who is just wanting a machine for personal use. I don't have a business, but enjoy embroidering gifts, for friends and family.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid Performer The PRS-100 is just what I was looking for. It's a super, super machine. It's very innovative. The variety of small hoops is really unique. Stitch quality is outstanding, especially with metallic threads. It's a snap to learn to operate. I've never been a big fan of multi-needle embroidery machines, but I just love my "little" Personna. I couldn't be happier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Single Needle Embroidery Like A 10 Needle Still learning how to use, but easy to follow instructions. Love how easy it is to use for small embroidery field areas that are very difficult with a domestic sewing machine. The expanded embroidery field area for a onesie for example, is simply not possible with a domestic sewing machine. Looking forward to learning more.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am in Like not Love! I had high hopes for my purchase. Every day brings a little more disappointment. I have had it a few months. The arm has a crack which I believe was there when I purchased it. I keep getting a check thread message when my bobbin gets below half and there isn't anything wrong. NOW! My threader has stopped working. Concerned about what is next! Dealer has been no help. Just told me to check the settings!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Persona embroidery machine I'm really not too impressed with this machine. I have the dream machine and it is so smooth.. This persona is too temperamental.. The constant need to reoil it or it telling you to recheck your thread. I wish I would have paid more attention when I 1st got it because I would have returned it..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Would probably buy again Machine works good and has good features. I do have a lot of problem with the wiper. I talked with the company I purchased from and they said I was threading the needle wrong. I changed to there way and still about 8 out of 10 times it goes to move I get a check wiper error. I also have a problem with when I cut the machine on sometimes it will not boot up. The button just flashes yellow very quickly and does nothing. Most times it will clear up with one cut off of the switch if not two. The machine does sew quality products though.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nice Machine I bought this machine primarily to embroider clothes for my grandchildren. I picked this machine over a 6 or 10 needle because it would do Disney designs. I am disappointed however that I am not able to use my Disney cards that I have purchased over the years. I do not want to buy the designs again in Ibroidery. Also the dark bloue background behind the thread hole makes it difficult when threading dark colored threads. I have to use a flashlight for additional light.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good but not great for me This machine does a great stitch out. I have several other Brother embroidery machines, so I know the basics of this machine. Things I don’t like: If you have to thread it manually, there is no slip in options. You have to line up the thread with holes. Hole number 6 is particularly difficult as it generates a lot of static causing the thread to stick to the side of the machine. Also, that area is in a DARK blue and seeing dark threads are difficult. Limited to an 8x8 hoop. I also have the VE2200 and love the 7x12 frame. Auto needle threader. Within the first 3 weeks, I broke it. This was caused by it getting caught on (almost every time I hooped) by the nappy towels I was doing for Christmas gifts. The weight of the machine (close to 70lbs), requires (at least for me) 2 people to lift it. The thought of carrying this back upstairs to take it to the dealer for repairs or service is very daunting. So consequently I haven’t taken it in to have the threader fixed. The cost. If I wasn’t so intimidated by it, I should have gone for the 6 needles. It wasn’t much more. Things I do like: It’s fast The ability to do onesies

Rated 5 out of 5 by from concerns I have concerns that after 4 months of owning I had to had the touch screen replaced and I am afraid it might happen again. The shop where I purchased it from was fabulous in servicing and getting my machine back to me in a timely fashion. It is a little noisier than I expected when threading needle and cutting thread.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Exceptional Machine I purchased my Brother PRS100 to use as my backup for my 10 needle and to use for on-site personalizations at events. Imagine my surprise when I found myself leaning more towards my PRS100 on a more daily basis! It allows me to embroider into tight areas and small areas that I couldn't otherwise get to. My PRS100 also came with a continuous border hoop which I absolutely love! It allows me to move my fabric thru the hoop easily without removing the hoop to align & continue the design. One negative was that in order for me to embroider some things like backpacks & insulated items, I had to use a secondary attachment - the Slimline clamp hoops from Hoop Tech which works great with my PRS100 however the machine doesn't know which hoop is which & therefore I have to align the hoops every time I use them. This is where negative number two comes in - there's no camera A camera like on my 10 needle would help line up the hoops and most importantly when trying to do in the hoop projects to fix an embroidery error, it would be much easier to realign the pattern/design. In the end, the positives far outweigh the negatives. I truely love my PR100 and would recommend it to any serious embroiderer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Brother just keeps getting BETTER I have sewn on brother products for about 40 years now--and I purchased my first embroidery maching (PE770)) about 6 years ago. I use my machines daily and was was planing to update to the DreamMaker. BUT the minute I received the e-mail about the new free arm PRS100 -----I purchased immediately. I am still sewing daily--but with the SPM on this machine I can accomplish many more projects in less time. Of course with the larger hoop sized--I can now stitch larger items which make me extremely happy. I have been very pleased with my purchase and would recommend this machine to anyone looking for an embroidery machine. I did pass my PE770 down to my sister. She now has the embroidery bug and is starting to ask me questions about the PE100 (she will pass the PE770 down to my granddaughter as want to keep it in the family).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PRS100 does a good job As usual, Brother has produced a quality machine. The stitch out is awesome. The hoops that come with it are ok. I added the Fast Frames and WOW! Onsies are a breeze now. And doing things like back packs, bags, pockets, and all the things I could not do with my other machine are so much easier. The biggest draw back is threading the last hole with the thread It is dark and hard to see. Need a light to make it easier to see the hole. And it is much more noisier than my VE2200. But, it does what it there to do and it does an excellent job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good quality - Text Great The threading from one color to the next is a bit cumbersome. I am getting the hang of it. I am use to the threading of my PE770, which was such a breeze. The embroidery area should be more for this machine. The best feature is the text editing and adding of other designs. The screen is a big plus too. Also as with the PE770 changing the color sequence is great - especially with the threading. It is really fast. So wonderful to actually see the designs. The red locator light is also a welcomed feature. I had a concern with the vibration - but a very sturdy cart solved that problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the PRS100 I love the PRS100 and the free arm to embroider bags and other tight items. I do not regret the purchase at all and I only do embroidery as a hobby. The auto threader can be a bit challenging and I recommend being very careful when removing the hoop as to not hit the arm of the auto threader. If you do, it may become unaligned and not work. I upgraded from a PE770, so the oiling on the hook is new to me and I'm still getting used to it. It is hard to tell if I'm over oiling or if it is just right. Overall the PRS100 is a great addition to my craft room.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PRS100 Review I can't wait to fall in love with this machine. Unfortunately, I haven't had a good embroidery year, too many other distractions so far. I look forward to producing some wonderful products. I finally was able to purchase the stand from a dealer at a discounted price, and I think that will help stabilize my machine. Using the table I had placed it on, created too much movement and vibration. Having it bolted to the stand will solve that problem.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from PRS 100 problems I am finding that the needle threader is horrible. It is easier to thread the needle than fool with it. I am finding that you better have it in a well lit room, as there is only one light on this machine and it is right at the needle. It is not easy to get the hat straight or tell if it is straight on the hat attachment. I didn't have any problems with the centering. Maybe I just need to play with it more. It was easier doing hats on my 6200 dream weaver than using this. For the money, I really don't believe that it is worth it. I feel that it should have come with a medium size frame also. It is like having a big heavy white elephant in my sewing room. I hate to think about ever having to take it to get serviced.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Did not include a common hoop/ I am happy with the stitching quality but I am disappointed that the PRS100 did not come with the commonly used 5x7 hoop as standard. I had to order a 5x7 hoop and pay extra, then was further disappointed that the 5x7 didn't even come with the measuring grid. I contacted Brother about this weeks ago after contacting the store I ordered the hoop from, but have had no response. There are not many built in fonts that look nice when embroidered, and the pre programmed design selections are few. I already own a Bernina Art Deco embroidery machine. The price difference of these 2 machines compared to what you get is disappointing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome Machine This machine was a much needed upgrade for me. The PRS100 is very user friendly and didn't take long for me to adjust. I bought it for the variety of hoops that came with it and have not been disappointed. I also love the laser light feature, it enables me to even up my design by small ticks or by larger spans. The 1000 stitches per minute and the fact that it cuts my jump stitches in the design have been very impressive, as well as saving me time!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wonderful machine! I'm so excited about having this machine, love everything about it! I have had a lot of trouble with the hat frame, simply because the directions that came in the box with the 3 parts are useless. Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it but feel limited I love this machine it makes embroidering totes super simple which is part of why I chose it over the other machines I looked at with this being my first machine it looked more user friendly. The only disappointment I feel that leads me to want to upgrade so soon is the small embroidery field 8x8 is advertised for this machine as being large but most in the hoop projects require at least a 6x10 space so I can't do a lot of things I want with this machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Embroidery Machine!!! I truly enjoy my PRS100 Embroidery machine. I'm extremely happy I added this machine to my Brother sewing collection. I only wish this machine had the opportunity to finish embroidering a project exactly where it stopped if you had to re-hoop it like the 10-needle machines. It's a little difficult to line it up perfectly after re-hooping but I am still happy with my machine!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the free arm I have found my Brother Persona 100. To be fun. It was a bit challenging at first, but my dealer's staff were most helpful in helping me solve problems. I found the user manual to be helpful also. My only issue is the hassle it is to change threads. When doing the tying and pulling method, my thread almost always pulls apart. It is difficult for me to tie the threads and takes several tries. This adds to my frustration and my time on projects. I have been spoiled by the ease of threading when using my Brother 4500D. I tend not to use the persona if a design has several thread changes.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Outstanding machine!!!!!!! I have been using Brother Embroidery machines for pleasure for almost 12 years and during that time I usually have 2 machines at one time! (Yes I am spoiled) I have had all the large machines the PE 1000, the PE 655 the Dreammaker.......and so forth. But we was moving out of state so I got rid of my machines. It wasn't long though and I really missed them. I ended up buying a smaller table top version and thought I would be happy but I missed being able to do the free arm, or hats or those hard to reach places that you needed a hoopless frame! I really did not want to spend $10,000 on another machine and once I was spoiled to the PR 1000 that is what I thought I had to have. Then I saw the PRS 100 and when I was honest with myself it gave me everything I wanted and more for half the cost! Ok So I don't have all those needles, guess what , sometimes they could be a pain! Threading on this machine is a dream and it sews like a dream too! I have had it for about a month now and I am thrilled with it. With the money I saved on it I was able to purchase me a new self threading serger! Another dream come true. So this completed my sewing room for now, till I need to update again, but for all my embroidery needs it will always be nothing but Brother!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It works fine once it is set up. The good thing about the machine is that it has the free arm. It does a great job with caps. Learning the information to set it up and use it is the hard part. Everything you go to on the internet says "see your Brother Dealer". My dealer is 35 minutes away one way and the machine is too big to take down there all the time.Training at dealership was poor. Kept asking if you have questions but how can you have questions when you haven't used the machine. Manual is difficult to use, pictures are too small and you can't really tell what it is showing you. For example oiling the bobbin area, still not sure I am doing it right. Brother should create short tutorials that can be viewed on line. For example: threading the machine. The ones you fined on line now are done by people who don't really know what they are talking about.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best purchase in a long time. When I found out that this machine existed, I said, "I think I have to have that"! It took me a little while to get adapted to it, since it's so much different than a flatbed machine, but now we're friends. Ha ha! I've been working on tee shirts, & hope to have about a dozen to take to my beauty shop & sell, hopefully! I would love to send a photo, but I have no clue how to do that, sorry.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A great machine, so glad I purchased the Persona I had done my research and was going to get a multi needle machine, but this persona has all the features of a multi needle with out the extra price. Changing threads is really not a problem, and just takes a few seconds. I am very pleased with the PRS-100 and look forward to years of service. I wouldnt hesitate recommending this machine to someone who is wanting to step up from a flat hoop. The cap rig is easy to use and sews out my designs perfectly. FOUR STARS!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Nothing but trouble, already back at the dealer. I’ve had my machine for 5mo and it’s given me nothing but problems. Tension is super touchy. The computer on it went out and it’s been back at the dealer now for a month! Parts have been hard to get. I’m honestly fed up. When it works it does a beautiful job, but the constant issues has taken a toll.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from An investment you won't regret We traded for our PRS100 in May 2017. Ashby Sewing in Alpharetta gave us a generous trade in and a very fair price. The learning curve for this machine is minimal, The treatment you get at this dealer is well worth the drive. Would highly recommend this machine. Love love love it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Worst purchased I have made I own a 6700D Quattro2. I really like this machine. I was excited about the PRS100. Being able to do caps really sounded good. The cap frame is not easy to use and the machine is not easy to thread. I have not found any small Disney Designs to use on the caps. My chip reader will not work with the cap frame. I want to sell this machine. I don't know if the dealer will take it back to sell used. I have only used it once with the cap frame which I can't get to work. I have read the manual over and over again. I hate this machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my PRS100 ! I run a small boutique. I love this machine! It does what I need, and does it beautifully. I have read a few people wish it had come with a 5x7 frame, there is one available, a person that runs the PRS 100 Facebook page gave me information, which I think should be available on this site. The one thing that does upset me is I have to go out of my way to town and deal with a grumpy salesman at my dealer when I should be able to purchase items straight from this site.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I am really happy with my Brother Persona PRS100 It is easy to operate and fun to use. Even with every mistakes I make I learn a new thing. It is not hard to change the threads and I can do multiple projects with it, like caps, jackets, bags and so on.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Machine I would like to start out by saying most issues I have had with the Brother PRS100 have been user error and not the machine. I purchased this machine 12 months ago. I really wanted to use it before posting a review. I do like the machine and it embroideries well. Threading the machine is really super easy once you learn how. I absolutely agree that a light is needed where the thread comes down and has to go through the hole in the cover (at the bottom). The machine is dark blue and when working with a darker thread it is aggravating (this is why I gave it 4 stars). When using the automatic needle threader... practice makes perfect :) You do have to get the thread in position correctly for it to work. I think where most users have problems, is at the needle bar thread guide. It is a very tight area, not much room. However, it comes with a needle changing tool (threader) for this area and it really makes a difference. I had to use it every time in the beginning, but now I can thread it quickly and without the tool. When changing thread color, I do typically tie the new color of thread to the old and pull it through. Don't pull it through the needle as the knot will bend the needle. The touch screen is very user friendly. There are many options to choose from and it is easy to understand and operate. I do not have to refer to the book very often. I love that I have the choice of a usb stick or direct cable to my computer for designs. I use a software program for a lot of my designs and being able to correct a design without transferring to a usb and then back to the machine is so helpful. I can make the correction and upload very quickly. I have had few thread breakage. Any time the thread broke it was due to me setting the tension incorrectly or poor quality thread. I really wanted the Brother 10 needle but it was over my price range, the brother PRS100 was the perfect solution for me and it didn't disappoint.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my Persona But, isn't there always a but? I would have really liked more hoop sizes for larger projects. It isn't that it is hard to change colors, but sometimes I wish I had bought the Janome 4MB that had four needles/threads so I could at least have four color changes just to make it a little easier. I tend to use the Persona for a design that only requires one color, two at the most. Otherwise, I love the machine, but I wish I had the table. The outrageous price for the table is preventing me from getting one. Love the fast frames, makes life so much easier.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from fun machine it is fun to create on this machine. Have tried all features except the hat that will happen later on i have given it a good workout since November only have a small issue with the needle threader and that will be fixed when I take it to the dealer and the cap hoops will be calibrated at that time to use that feature. I love this machine and all it offers. I am not a pro at all but sure feel like it with the beautiful projects I completed and quickly for friends and family. This machine is easy to operate and lots fun. The work space and free arm with front bobbin is such a time saver. well worth the investment this is my second embroidery machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Awesome machine I love my machine. i wish it had multiple colors but for my first embroidery machine I like that I can work the color progression as I go. It gives me creative license. I also find some of the color charts are wrong and so I can correct colors.. I did have an issue with the needle threader because it got caught on a towel binder. I had to have it replaced and had it serviced as well. I feel the needle threader could be located in a better place as it seems to catch easily and you don't realize what is caught till it is too late. Over all I have been very pleased with the versatility and the quality of stitching. I have logged over 70 hrs on my machine in 6 months. I do not have a business, yet but I do a lot for family and friends.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love It! I have wanted this machine since it came out. I have a Brother In-novis 2200, but I wanted something with an arm so onesies, socks, etc.. would be easier to sew. This machine gave me that without the cost of a multi-needle machine. I enjoy watching the designs come to life and I do this every time there is a thread change. I don't plan on doing any massive orders so this machine is perfect for me.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Disappointed.. I was very anxious to receive the PRS100 to expand my business only to be very disappointed.. The machine was very easy to setup and the thread tensions were already set, but I had EXTREME inconsistencies when I would embroider. My underlay stitches would always show no matter what, but then there would be that one hat, or jacket or whatever that looked perfect. I tried my luck with customer services, but all 3 of the representatives that I talked to literally read me the manual word for word and called that customer services.. I'm really disappointed and I do NOT recommend this machine to anyone and now I'm out thousands of dollars..

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very happy with my new machine I traded a 6 needle machine for this one because I wanted something simpler . I do not have a business and do not do multiple items, so threading 6 different colors at the beginning and making sure the tension, etc. is correct on all of them is not necessary for me. The Persona 100 has all the bells and whistles that the multi needle machines have, but without all the variables necessary to produce a good quality item. When I do a new item, I almost prefer rethreading each color, because I have more control.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great single needle machine Had been thinking for some time I could do more if I had another embroidery machine but just couldn't bring myself to purchase another single needle with embroidery only - UNTIL I SAW THE PRS100. It has the flexibility of the multi-needle machines and stitches faster and I think has more reliability that the other machines I looked at. Price is affordable . Love that I can thread easily and the auto-threader feature has never failed. I love that the designs can be downloaded directly from the computer or put on a USB drive for use in the machine. It has a lot of varied designs built in as well. Absolutely think this is a really good machine for a beginning business or for someone like me, who just likes to embroider for myself, my family and for friends.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Persona - Awesome Just attended an Anita Goodesign event in Knoxville, TN. This machine was brought in for a test drive. I sewed on it all day. It is so easy to use, is a great size, and a reasonable price! This is the only Brother that comes with a hat frame. This allows you to embroidery so much more than you can on your flatbed home embroidery machine. And, yes, I purchased it on the spot. This is just perfect for me since I make all of my gifts. Just a whole new world in embroidery for the home embroiderer. Definitely recommend adding this to your wish list. Christmas is just around the corner.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Christmas Present EVER! I started off with a Brother SE400 and I didn't know anything about embroidery. I fell in love. I told hubby if he won the lottery to get me a Brother Persona PRS100. He got it for Christmas and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. We just found out at Christmas that my oldest was expecting another child in July. So I have been busy embroidering squares to make a baby quilt. With my machine the "fast frames" came with it and I am telling you with the speed of this machine and "no hooping" it's been a dream come true! The laser light is incredible! I got to choose between the Brother Cabinet or the Arrow Ava Cabinet. Sorry Brother, I choose the Ava. It has storage space that the Brother lacks. Brother might want to consider re-designing that. I would highly recommend this machine. You will not be disappointed!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Overall very pleased Mom and I purchased the Persona over another brand because of the Disney feature, however mom owns a number of Disney patterns that are on Memory Cards and for some reason they are not compatible with the Persona. All other memory cards work fine. Not sure why they did not include the proper programming for the Memory cards. Apparently there are no plans to update the software so that if you own Disney that are on Memory cards they will work. If that had been included and she not have to purchase patterns that she already owns we would have given a 5 star rating.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Wish this machine was out earlier I love this machine. The hooping system is so much easier for people with disabilities that affect their hands. I used it to make a wedding gift of Embossed Monogram Towels this past week. The only con that I have about this machine is the threading at steps 6 and 7. There needs to be a tool made to help with threading through the hole at 6 as it is a tad bit dark in that spot. The clip at 7 is hard to do the way Brother shows it to be done. I found if you lower your needle it makes it much easier to see the clip and thread it that way. The other is I so wished this machine was out when I bought my first embroidery machine 4 years ago. I highly recommend this machine to anyone that struggles with hooping on the standard home embroidery machines. I find the 8" x 8" hoop size perfect. Would be nice to have an 8" x 10" hoop for this machine some day.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stitches really nice designs!! I've had my Persona 100 for 2 months, have done a few projects and the results were good. What I'm not happy with is the hat hoop, got absolutely NO directions on how to use it, finally found a PDF manual on the Brother site, after searching and searching. Not a well written document either, as it is hard to refer to the machine manual for direction - there is NO directions in the machine user manual on how to attach the hat hoop to the driver, there are a couple of drawings but they are of no help to me. I've looked at a few Utube videos, and they helped a little. Very disappointed in Brother for not providing better information on this hoop. The other hoops are ok, but not having used them all I can't say if I like them or not. Wish I lived closer to my dealer, I could go in for help, but I don't so I will just struggle on with this.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I Love It! I am so pleased with my PRS100. I have done a lot of hats in the past few weeks. You see we have a very large family and our children, their spouses, our grandchildren, and our great-grandchildren are all receiving embroidered hats for their birthdays this year! My husband also asked me to do designs on some of his pockets. They turned out great!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Difficulty in getting help I purchased the machine being told it would perform a lot of tasks. I’m having difficulty finding an embroidery program that would download fonts and designs that I had purchased off the internet. No one seems to be very helpful. By trial and error, I have found one that I can use. Machine is pretty fast does a good job. It’s just getting to that point.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Persona perfection I have had my persona for 3 months and am so happy. Best decision I've made (as far as embroidery machines go) stitching is amazing, fonts are great. I have not tried the cap frame yet but am hoping to soon. Just one request from brother please bring out a 6x10 frame for the persona

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Machines for Embroidering Grand-kids gifts I moved up to The PRS 100 from the Brother PE 770 with only a max hoop size of 5 x 7. I am really enjoying the range of items that I can embroidery such as stuff animals, Onesies, hats & shoes. The only thing I wish my new machine had was a 6 x 10 hoop to do large Disney Designs, kitchen recipe towels and zipper bags without having to use my software to split the designs (except the Disney Designs).

Rated 5 out of 5 by from One of the best items that I have purchased I like the PRS100 and it was easy to learn how to use. The needle threader can be a little problem for me. But overall it is a good machine to have. I think I have outgrown it because I would like to trade it in for a bigger machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Experience moving from DreamMaker to PRS100 I have previously had a Quattro 6000, then a DreamMaker embroidery machine from Brother. Due to Houston floods, I moved to the less expensive PRS100 and its ability to do projects that the DreamMaker could not do. I have been satisfied with the PRS100 but there are some drawbacks. The PRS100 is more industrial in nature, so makes lots more noise. It does not come with many usable frames--mostly small ones. And the biggest drawback is that the embroidery size limit is 8"x8". The DreamMaker was 8"x12", so many of my larger designs cannot be easily done on the PRS100. The PRS100 also needs a very sturdy stand due to the vibration. That does not come with the machine but is an additional, rather expensive, purchase. That being said, my dealer provided me with additional frames that work with the PRS100 called Fast Frames. The set comes with many sizes and work pretty well with the machine. The dealer also included a sturdy stand designed for this machine that works well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great value for the price I absolutely love this machine. The threading is so easy since you can tie on. I'm very happy that it is not as big as the multi needle machines with the free arm. Love all the hoops but miss the fast frames.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great machine I have only had the machine a little over a month and due to all the holiday business, have not had a chance to use it much. I monagramed several sets of towels for gifts and I love it! It's fast, does a beautiful job, and easy offers a variety of letter sizes. I do have some problem threading it because I am short and have problems looping the thread to through the thread guide holes. But putting the machine on a lower table instead if the stand they sell would help with that. My biggest complaint is the bobbin. I don't like having to oil it everyday. I also have problems putting the bobbin back in because the thread picker is in the way. It could use a little tweaking, but it is the perfect machine for a personal embroidery machine!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from It takes embroidery to a whole new level. I am truly amazed at how wonderful this little machine is, it has allowed me to work on larger as well as smaller items. I am able to personalize my English saddle pads with ease and the stitch quality is beautiful. I highly recommend the add on table if you will be embroidering on larger items.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I'm sew happy!!! I love my PRS100 and can't wait to get started sewing and learning all the things I'm able to do with this wonderful machine. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to purchase one and the price was great! Puts a great big smile on my face every time I get to use my PRS100.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it Ever since PRS100 came out I wanted it. I finally got it and love it. You-tube is great with how to's. Its hard to do applique due to frame being to deep so really need fast frames. Making things for coworkers and family gifts. Once I get better and use to machine, plan to start my own business.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great machine, easy to use, fun! My 6th. Brother embroidery machine and my favorite. Great results with little frustration to be had if you purchase good thread and good pre-wound bobbins. Floriani thread and Coates bobbins being my favorites. I have 13 hours on the machine and have only had 2 thread breaks. They only happened because the thread stuck on the spool.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from My Monogramming Goddess! Although I am being compensated for this review, my opinions are my own and my review is honest and unbiased. My Persona is a sweet little machine. I love that she has the tubular arm capability, this makes embroidering on blanks so much easier.....no need to take things apart. The hoop size is perfect for monogramming and I can embroider hats with her! One of the really nice touches that you don't realize you will love until you have the machine is the thread cutter built into the threading area. It takes away the need to find your scissors to change colors. I love that Brother thinks of the little things to make the products user friendly. There is so much that I like about this little goddess that it is hard to choose my favorites, but the automatic needle threader has to be included in that list!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love my PRS 100 I originally decided to buy a multi needle machine since I already have a single needle Janome. I use lots of different colors in my designs, but changing the colors are easy & simple. I'm very satisfied with my machine. It stitches fast & makes beautiful designs. Learning to operate it took no time at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from This is our second brother embrodiery machine. The PRS100 machine produces a very good design. I have few problems setting up the designs. The more I use the machine the more I learn about it. We purchased our machine from Tops, in Sarasota, Fla. And when problems arise I call or male the trip to Florida for help.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good deal I also have a quarto machine. Most of my sewing is embroidery. When I looked to upgrade to the new model I found that I could get the PRS100 for much less than the upgrade. This machine sew out well with less stabilizer. The hooping system is much easier to use. The only down side I see is the lighting. I have and extra light to help me see the treading and bobbin case, Overall it is great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Not exactly what I was expecting. While I like the overall set up of the machine I'm disappointed that it doesn't come preloaded with more embroidery designs. I would have expected it to come close to the number of designs in the Dream series of machines by Brother. I misunderstood the advertising and thought it came preloaded with the Disney designs but now I'm told that is doesn't come with them but will embroider them once I've purchased them. I'm also having issues with using preloaded bobbins.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Machine We love this machine because we can now put logos and designs on pocket of jackets that have outside pockets on the left side. We also make custom patches of 1 or 2 colors that only 1 is needed. It frees up our 10 needle machine to do larger items and multiple patches in larger hoops. We love the compact hoops for doing pockets, sleeves and legs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A few shortcomings Purchased primarily to do caps as we also have a Dream Machine for regular stuff. Most of the features are great but there are problem areas. First the n edge threading system is terrible. We have two other brothers and the auto threaders work great. The Persona threaded not so. Have had it back for service once. It worked for a couple days then broke again. Due to the problems transporting this machine we now thread it manually. Another shortcoming is the new style flat brim hats popular with the younger crowd now. They tend to bow out and hit the cover for the needle threaders. You literally have to crush the hat on that side then tape it back to get it to work. Also compared to our other machines this is a very noisy product. Some say it is because of the speed it embroiders at, but it is no faster than the Dream Machine which is much quieter. As others have said it needs to have a larger embroidery area. Should have bought a true commercial multi needle machine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Amazing Single Needle Powerhouse machine I use this machine mainly for hats (all types of baseball and bucket hats), sweaters, golf polos, and hoodies different types of hats like bucket hats, all types, flat bill, curved bill, structured and unstructured hats and it's so easy. A lot of those people who gave bad reviews obviously do not understand how to properly operate the cap frame for this machine (PRCF3). There's another hoop for it, the PRCF5 which I don't have but i'm sure it's also a good option aside from the PRCF3. Overall i'm happy with this, and plan on buying a 2nd one. I only special ordered mine back in Feb 2021 and it arrived in May 2021 (had to be built) and it's now 4 months old since receiving it and it's been a powerhouse for me. I've done almost 100 hats on this machine and never stops, even 3D puff designs run perfectly with 2 sheets of foam. Because it's a single needle, threading is just an issue (a few seconds of little delay) when switching color, however it's not really that difficult as some mentioned here. You must be really TOO lazy or too much spoon fed, to not even understand how to properly thread new color for this machine. So EASY. It's in fact way easier than flatbed machines I tell you that, plus it automatically removes jump stitches so no need for manual cutting of jump stitches when your work is done. Noise, it has noise of course compared to a flatbed like Brother SE-1900 flatbed or PE-800. The PRS is way noisier but it's an industrial home machine so it's going to have a noise obviously. But not really bothersome, I like dancing around it while it stitches actually. It's so amazing. It's music to the ears. My only issue is I wish they had a bigger hoop for this, 8 x 8 is OK, but 12 x 8 or more would have been great. Nevertheless, there's accessories that you can buy to trick the machine to do bigger sizes. Overall, this is a great machine. AMAZING and Powerful.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to Use I am by no means a professional at embroidery, but I was up and running in no time. Monogrammed bags for my nieces wedding and had a company logo digitized and put it on 16 travel bags within the first week of owning. I love that you can do so many odd shapes. You do have to change the thread color, but it only takes a minute if you tie it off and if the same thread color is in various positions, you can easily group so you don't have to change the thread as much. I absolutely love it. I have heard of so many that always forget how everything works, if they don't use it frequently.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lack of hoop I believe the machine should have come with a 5"x7" hoop. I was also very disappointed that the web site was quite a bit behind the release of the machine. The machine is very good and does everything it is supposed to do. I have come to expect great things from Brother and I am just a little disappointed on this one.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love My Brother PRS100 I purchased my PRS100 in February. Since I have very little sewing experience, I wasn't sure what I needed. I'm so glad that my dealer decided to show me this machine. It is awesome. I have really enjoyed learning to use it and it has been super easy to learn...even for a not-so-sew-savvy person like myself. I would recommend this machine to everyone.
