Dual paper trays are a big plus, one for letter size and one for tabloid size beats anything out there. The large flatbed scanner and document feeder handle up to 11x17 paper and ink replacement is quite reasonable.

Rated 5 out of 5 bybcollinsks from Great Printer, I like it!I do like the printer. The color is not as good as my Brother Color Laser Printer. It is a bit flat and dull but my laser doesn't print and scan 11x17 and that is why I bought this printer and that works very well and it is quite peppy. It zips out prints faster than any inkjet I have worked with. It churns for a few seconds and then squirts the print out. No wig-wag of the print head like the older inkjets. I sure would like to see how it does that. I would buy this printer again. The best thing I like about Brother printers is the high quality of the printer and the low cost of supplies. The savings really add up over a year.

The written direction on setting it up for scanning could be made easier . Other than that it is outstanding , including it's low comsumption of printing ink .

Rated 5 out of 5 byMartint from 1st grade teacherI bought the Brother MFC-J6935DW with grant money to use as a classroom printer so I can print my first graders' certificates in color! I have to admit I was a little intimidated by it after our school tech coordinator set it up for me. But, I am very pleased with the ease of use and the quality of the color copies I'm been printing. I've printed a LOT of color copies to use in setting my room up for the new school year. It still has most of the color ink left in the cartridges so it appears that the cartridges will last awhile. Prices for replacement cartridges are very reasonable, too! I chose this particular model because I can use the 11"x17" size paper.

It prints rather quickly, and is well suited to situations where multiple sizes of paper are frequently used.The paper trays have a reasonably high capacity, but cannot fit an entire package of paper.The colors are not particularly good, but I am slightly biased in this respect. The cyan channel in particular performs quite poorly. My company logo has a section with a smooth gradient of cyan, but this printer does not print a gradient. Instead, it prints a dark region and a light region, and there is sharp transition between the two. I have managed to address this by converting the documents to CMYK manually before printing.I have also noticed that the cyan channel is not actually cyan. It is much closer to blue. I should mention at this point that I am using Brother ink, purchased from a reputable source.The support team has had me waiting for over a month now for a genuine fix, and I cannot reach the technical support employee assigned to my case.While the printer produces reasonably sharp text, it is not as good as most laser printers.The print speeds are quite good on this unit, but the driver software could have dramatically better documentation.

I spent a bunch of time on brother customer support online and with a representative - no help. My son-in law had it up and running in about 3 min. I'm so surprised customer support couldn't help me. It was really easy. You need to go into your settings, select printers & scanners and then click add a printer. The list gets refreshed and there it is. You click on the printer, the drivers download and you are up and running. I spent hours trying to use the brother install utility - for this installation, worthless.
