Build a network for your small office or link small workgroups to a corporate LAN
The Dual-Speed Personal MiniHub is as small as a paperback book. The model features autosensing 10/100Mbps ports for super-easy installation. If you have mixed 10Mbps and 100Mbps devices, the ports sense the speed and assign the device to the correct traffic domain automatically. An internal bridge chip interconnects the two domains, so there’s nothing for you to do when connecting these ports—not even software configuration!
The base model of this hub family features eight autosensing 10/100Mbps ports for a quick and easy start to a small- or home-office network. If you’re ready to build a network, there’s no better choice than this affordable little hub. There’s even an RJ-45 uplink port for when it’s time to move to a bigger network!
The hub has six autosensing RJ-45 half-duplex 10/100Mbps Ethernet ports. Each hub also features one switched RJ-45 port (Port 1). This port can connect a user or be used to daisychain to another hub. What’s more, the port is autonegotiating and can operate at 10- or 100Mbps and in half- or full-duplex mode.
The six autonegotiating half-duplex 10/100Mbps ports (Ports 3–8) are one switched domain if used at a single speed (10 or 100Mbps). If you mix both 10- and 100Mbps connections, the hub will automatically divide these six ports into both a switched 10Mbps domain and a switched 100Mbps domain according to which speeds are connected to which port.
A built-in store-and-forward switch provides an efficient connection from a workgroup to a central LAN. It automatically learns and maintains the addresses of attached nodes, enabling network additions and changes without reconfiguration.
Features:
Mix high-bandwidth 100Mbps users and systems with economical 10Mbps ports in your workgroup.
The base model has eight autosensing 10-/100Mbps ports plus an uplink port for a quick start to a small network.
Adding to your network? You can connect another MiniHub if you need more ports!
