Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works as expected If you’re trying to connect your newer mac laptop (USB-C plug) to a monitor, you’ll need an adapter if it didn’t come with your monitor (usually doesn’t). I plug this adapter into my apple computer and the other end to an HDMI cable (not included, should come with your monitor) which connects to my monitor. This is super helpful for work. Works immediately and didn’t have any issues with connection. Works as expected, there were no issues.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good Overall I like the style of this adapter because it incorporates a short length of cable to the part that you plug your HDMI cable into. That’s because the adapters without a cable can end up being subjected to a lot of stress depending upon where you put your laptop. Any stress to the adapter is also stressing your port, and that’s not good. That’s why I like this design better. I also like this design because of the pass through charging port that is included. This allows you to charge your laptop using the same adapter that you’re using to power the external monitor. I don’t have a full 4K external monitor, but I do have a 32” QHD monitor, and this adapter easily handles it, and it looks great! My laptop has a small screen, so this gives me much better output options, and that’s easier on my eyes. I was just on an extended Zoom call, so I needed both USB-C ports for the monitor and webcam, but noticed that my laptop wouldn’t last through the end of the call. Not a problem, since I had the Belkin adapter! It worked flawlessly and I was able to use the external monitor while still charging my laptop. I was so glad to have this when I needed it. This is a simple product with a simple focus, and it does it well.

For virtual school so he can actually have a wider screen. And see more of his schoolwork. I was pleasantly surprised; it was crystal clear response rate was great. My son was able to do a split screen and see all of his assignments plus keep his Google meet on. Instead of using the tiny chrome book screen this allowed us to upgrade him to a 60 inch screen without much hassle. Great little device to have during this hybrid learning model of schooling.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to use, great picture quality This product is a genuine lifesaver. I shattered the screen on my phone a while back. While I was able to power the device on/off, the display was wrecked, nothing but black. I was due for an upgrade and could not justify the expense of fixing the screen solely to recover the contents of the phone. Still, a large part of my life is spent on my phone and the knowledge that not everything transferred automatically to my new device irked me. I got this product to see if it would help. I connected the adapter to my phone and to a monitor via HDMI and within seconds I had renewed visual access to all that I thought was lost to me. Best of all, its use is self-explanatory, the most difficult part of the process was locating my HDMI cable. Once it had served its primary purpose, I graduated to hooking up my current phone and laptop to my TV to stream content. The picture quality is fantastic and most impressively, there is no lag. I am truly happy with this product's performance.

This cord was fabulous it actually did not lag in any time and it was picture perfect quality when it did go through the C port. It did not distort the image at all. I would recommend this cord to anyone needing an HDMI into a C port.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I was looking for.. Having a Macbook pro 13 inch does has its limitations and one is bing the screen is smaller and no HDMI slot on the laptop. So instead of fishing out more money on a big laptop I made the investment of using the usb type c to hdmi which Belkin more budget friendly to your pockets. Connecting the Belkin Type-C to HDMI is very simple and my laptop picked it right up away. Also had wireless keyboard and mouse which made it so much simpler especially working from home. Connecting the Belkin Type-C to HDMI to my television was definitely worth it. Definitely would recommend if you are looking to make your Apple laptop have a bigger screen view with the help of Belkin Type-C to HDMI.

It makes the projector easier when we’re camping and do not have internet access. I can download the movies to my phone and play with this device. Definitely recommend.

It has a sleek frame, it’s light weight and easy to use. I haven’t had any slow streaming or slow file transfers and love that the actual body of the product is DURABLE! I’ve had other products tear and fray where the wire meets the box and can tell this won’t be an issue with this product.

I tried this adapter with a couple of items. A secondary monitor and also an external modem. It is small enough to throw in my laptop bag and take with me to the office or where ever I may need to go when presenting. There isn't anything to dislike about this product. Just plug in and go. Belkin has always been a reliable name in technology products in my life and I will always return to them in the future.

This works well and connected a MacBook Pro to an external monitor instantly. I don't notice much difference between the HDMI and USB-C connection to the monitor but it may be too subtle for me to notice. I like that the connector is black and glossy and smaller than other similar connectors I've had over the years. Overall It does the job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Mostly works well I have a 2017 27" 5K iMac. I needed to connect my several year old ViewSonic external monitor with DVI only inputs. I purchased this adapter and an HDMI to DVI cable. Most of the time this combination works great. However about half the time when the iMac wakes from sleep or on boot up, the ViewSonic shows snow/static (random noise). To fix, I have to hit the power button on the ViewSonic to power it off and back on. Not sure if the issue is with the iMac, the Belkin adapter, or the monitor. Using the same monitor with my old 2011 iMac with Thunderbolt to DVI adapter (apple), I never had any issues.

Used this adapter for a couple of weeks flawlessly, everything worked as it should, until it started acting weird, needing the HDMI cable to be in a specific position/angle to actually work, and now I can't seem to get it working at all. Rarely I get an image on my external screen, but when I do, it flashes for a second, then goes black again. Would recommend if it just had worked longer than a couple of weeks. Tried contact my reseller, but I can't find my receipt, so it's a lost case now, but that's not Belkin's fault.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The great piece of hardware Bought this about 2 months ago for my MacBook Pro 2017, works like a charm, 60hz is a huge difference for my eyes comfort compared to 30hz which most of cheaper adapters provide (including official from Apple). Just plugged it in and it works, no additional overhead (except setting 60hz in display settings)
